Unreal Raccoon Island experience!!! This boat tour to Sandspur Island was an absolute blast! The ride through Biscayne Bay was smooth and scenic. Captain Kim shared details about the homes we passed and some fun historical facts. Once we arrived at the island, we had to look around a bit for the raccoons, but we had been prepped by our captain on what to expect and the best ways to attract the raccoons. Within a few minutes, curious raccoons wandered over to greet us — they were friendly, adorable, and clearly used to visitors. We brought snacks (they loved Lays chips!) and even shared water from our bottles - some of them drank straight from it like little beach bandits! It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime, up-close encounter with nature, and we couldn't stop laughing and snapping photos. OceanForce Adventures are real pros. We knew exactly what to expect on our excursion thanks to the incredible level of detail on their website. Many thanks to Captain Kim for such a wonderful and memorable experience!

We had an absolutely wonderful day out on the boat with Captain Colin. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the Miami area, had some really cool photos from yesteryear, and took us by a lot of really great places. We enjoyed Stiltsville, downtown Miami, Key Biscayne lighthouse, and seeing so many beautiful homes. This was our third time out with Ocean Force Adventures, we just keep coming back with other friends! We would highly recommend this tour and I’m sure we will be back for round 4 in the future! Thanks again Colin for your hospitality!

We loved our tour. Small boat. My wife and I plus one other guest. The boat holds 6 max. We took the Stiltsville tour. Captain Colin was great! He knew so much history and provided us with a crash course on the Miami waterfront. Highly recommended.

This was a worthwhile experience. Our captain was Colin, who took us to Raccoon Island. We decided on the morning tour, which if you're looking to go, this is the tour to take. It was a beautiful 20-minute ride by boat, and we had an hour to walk around the island. We saw a bunch of raccoons. Our captain was friendly and pointed out sights along the way. If you're planning a trip, please take water. Those raccoons don't have access to fresh water often.

I enjoyed the experience. Kim (the captain) was very friendly and knowledgeable about history of Miami. She showed me some interesting places in Miami that I've never seen. I've been living in Miami close to 10 years and I feel I know more about the city's history because of her knowledge. I highly recommend anybody who are either new to Miami or a current resident to take this experience. It was both fun and worthwhile.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Captain Nick today! It was a blast! He was so knowledgeable about the area and the history. We especially loved seeing Stiltsville and we even saw dolphins! It was a beautiful day, wonderful breeze. He even knew how to dodge the rain the whole time! I'm so glad we found Ocean Force Adventures and they were able to show us around on the water. Love, love, LOVED it! Thank you again Nick!

A fabulous experience💙Kim was our awesome guide who was fun and so well informed. She brought the experience 360 degrees into fullness🙏We wanted to spend extra time in Stiltsville instead of the Miami coast line, and she happily accommodated us. A special experience with a lasting memory 🙏💙🩵

When in Miami, the best way to see it is from the water and on one of Ocean Force Adventures' zodiac speed devils!  It's the perfect combination of adventure and history as you race through the waters and linger on key spots to get the lowdown on the city itself, how it came about, and little nuggets of some interesting and juicy insights. I was lucky enough to have Captain Kim as my guide; a Florida native who can write a book on Florida history, and its key characters -- Not just the historical ones, but the colorful ones we all want to hear about that never make it into the history books! That's the real Florida! On this tour, you'll get a glimpse of the homes of the glitterati at Star Island and Fisher Island, you'll see the home that was the setting for scenes in the Scarface movie (Key Biscayne) and also Gloria and Emilio's Estefan gorgeous abode among others. The tour goes beyond that. You'll get to know how the city got started, and how Miami came to be what it is now. A highlight of the tour is Stiltsville, Colorful homes built on stilts during the prohibition era back in the 20s-30s. This was bootlegging heaven and more! Nowadays, we look for the Space Invader Tiles in a couple of the homes, no more booze! Key to this tour is the fact that it's an intimate event with just 6 guests per boat. And a very knowledgeable captain who is familiar with the area, and its history. Also, it's a zodiac and we get to SPEED! I can't recommend this enough. It's a must!

Yelp
Where do I start, first the weather was not behaving, so Kim emailed us to keep us informed, we then had a little mis communication, my husband and I showed up for our tour, and did not see the company, gave them a call and Kim was more than gracious to us and take us out, she was wonderful and we learned so much about Miami and the Biscayne Bay, did you know that this national park is 99% under water,,crazy..Please use this company, do not look anywhere else for an adventure..

Yelp
We had a grand tour of Biscayne Bay yesterday with Captain Colin in our Zodiac RIB inflatable boat with twin outboard motors that went fast and was comfortable and quiet. "We" is 77 year-old Granddad (me!) and my twin grandsons in the first grade (and their parents) so this is a great excursion for all ages and everyone felt safe and comfortable and totally interested in the sights as we whizzed around the luxury yachts and mega mansions that are everywhere in this corner of paradise. Captain Colin, right out of Central Casting with his yachtsman hat and weathered grey beard, is an excellent storyteller and very attuned to his passengers, always announcing when there was a little bump coming up or when we were starting to speed up so no one would be surprised. We were blessed with a beautiful day and I am sure my little grandsons will remember this trip for a long time because they couldn't stop talking about it. These tours are easy to book, Pier E at the Miami Beach Marina is easy to find, and your group can ask for a private tour which makes it perfect for a family excursion, bachelorette group, wedding guests in town etc. Not. to. miss. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yelp
An amazing & thrilling 2 hour experience. Myself and everybody in my party had a blast, and we all felt more than satisfied with the cost. Everything went smooth & the entire adventure was outstanding. Saw multiple dolphins, picturesque Miami views of both landmark and unusual sites. I really enjoyed the uplifting feeling, air breezing through my hair as the boat zoomed through the open sea. Captain Matt, our tour guide, was the element that made this outing truly special and an adventure to remember. In addition to being very professional and personable, Matt was also extremely knowledgeable in everything to do with Miami: history, culture, architecture, marine life, realestate and more. Happy, happy, happy!!

Yelp
3rd time the charm? So my fiance booked us on an afternoon tour (3pm?) the second day we arrived, however, due to the weather, Matt our tour guide recommended against going on that day and offered for us to come back for the 9am tour the next day. He did kindly bring us around the dock to show us some BIG fishes that swim up close to the pier to feed off left overs that fishermen throw back in the water, and a cluster of jelly fishes that are in the water during this time in Florida. I thought that was interesting in itself, and Matt just came off to me as a very nice guy. Came back the next day at 9am as planned and the weather was still not suitable to take the boat out. Slightly disappointed, he recommended us to grab some breakfast at a close by restaurant and come back at 11am. FINALLY, at 11am the second day back, we set sail in the small, 6 person boat. The seats were actually quite comfy, and there's a place for you to put your belongs underneath the seat to keep them dry. The boat did go fast at times, but it was such a smooth ride, I was impressed. And, you really do see a lot of Miami on this tour. Matt's very nice, friendly and informative and doesn't mind going out of the way to find the dolphins if he spots them. =) Overall, this was a very wonderful tour because you really see so much of Miami in a 2hr boat ride. It's smooth, relaxing and very pleasurable. I would recommend bring a light layer as it does get a bit chilly (in Dec), and going 45mph on a boat will kick up some breeze for you. Worth the price you pay. Definitely a highlight of the trip.

Yelp
Ocean Force is absolutely the best experience you can get! What it's not: it's not like all the other boats tour that cram 50-100 people aboard, give you a limited and boring tour of the area with a person telling corny jokes over a crackling speaker. What it is: A small, impeccable boat with only 6 passengers, an intimate and unique tour experience, with a knowledgeable and professional captain that covers an impressive area without feeling rushed in about two hours. It's a fabulous mix of a scenic adventure, incredible local history, celebrity homes, wildlife viewing and fun facts. Captain Louis grew up in these waters and knows them well. He was professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. Hearing his personal stories about the area when he was young was fascinating and touching, you can tell he really cares. I learned so much and had a blast at the same time. My kids absorbed more than I thought they would and really loved when we went fast.

Yelp
My boyfriend did this as a surprise for my bday. It was awesome. They took us to all the islands and we got to see all the expensie houses and around star and fisher island and around the crates and everything. It was a really cool experience. They took us to some places that are only accessible by boat only. It was a very cool and informative experience highly highly recommended.

Yelp
This morning our group of 5, 4 adults and my 8 yr. old daughter went out for a tour with Captain Matt. Being a maximum 6 customer boat we had a personal tour, and Matt was amazing. Super friendly, well informed with interesting stories, and a safe and thoughtful boat driver. We spotted some Iguanas, dolphins, starfish, tarpon, barracuda, parrot fish and varied birds. I highly recommend the tour around Miami and to Stiltsville, especially if you only have a short time in Miami. It really is the only way to truly get a good look at the city of Miami and its surroundings. The tours of Star, Fisher, and Biscayne Island were awesome too. Matt was very aware of an incoming storm, and adjusted our plans to suit so we didn't get caught in the rain, so we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks again Matt.

Yelp
It's not cheap at $150 per person, but then again I'm guessing dock space at the Miami Beach Marina isn't cheap either. You're in South Beach already and not much here is cheap so go ahead and book yourself on an Ocean Force Adventures tour. What a great way to get an overview of the area by water and on a recent trip it was an absolutely perfect way to start a visit. Matt was a perfect guide, very informative and helpful - and it turned out that even though the boat seats 6 guests we ended up being the only people on our particular tour and ended up with a private charter. Great boat, great tour, great guide, what's not to like? It's a short cab ride from most areas of Miami Beach or if you have a car there's free parking at the marina. For most people, taking this tour will be one of the best decisions you make on your visit to Miami Beach.

Yelp
Captain Collin was great, out-ran some rain, and made an awesome trip for my fiancé and I. A very solid way to spend a couple hours, see some awesome homes, and get some local Knowledge from our captain who had been in Miami since the late 80's. Thanks Cpt. Collin!

Darlene M.

Yelp
Capt John was the absolute best. He knew everything about the area and took us to the coolest places! He is an excellent boat driver , we went fast ! It was awesome!! I would recommend this Adventure to everyone !!

Yelp
Fun, exciting, informative. A must do if you are in Miami. A great way to experience Miami by water. Stiltsville and the Cape Florida lighthouse were amazing. Safe and knowledgeable captains.

Yelp
Matt took our family of 5 out and we could not have asked for a better tour. Starting with the awesome weather, we toured parts of the area we have never seen...Star and Fisher Island, the Port and Stiltsville. Perfect ending with a school of dolphins complete with Mama and baby! Thanks Matt...we will be back.

Yelp
We participated in the Biscayne Bay Adventure Sightseeing Tour + Stiltsville Tour and had a blast with Captain Matt. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I appreciated the small group aspect of the tour (6 people max). FYI the boat has straddle seats, which was fine for me, but could be uncomfortable for others.

Yelp
My wife and I had some friends visiting from New England who wanted to see Miami. Not being super familiar with the city, I thought this would be a great way to spend an afternoon, and I had heard seeing the city by water was the way to go. After a lot of research I learned about Ocean Force Adventures on the Condé Nast traveler podcast. The podcast described ocean force as the best boat tour they had ever done - and I agree! While certainly more expensive than other options, the intimacy of having only 6 people on board, paired with the longer time on the water makes it well worth it. The tour took us all around - seeing the port of Miami, celebrity homes, downtown Miami by south beach, and way out to Stiltsville - which is so interesting! Our guide, AKA: captain Matt, was super knowledgeable and was clearly passionate about the city, its history, and culture. Definitely ask him for recommendations for food, drink, and things to do in the area. Booking was easy, and in the instance of rain you'll be issued a credit to use within one year - which is certainly reassuring during the rainy season. The boat itself is fast, and can be a bit bumpy at times. Not in a way that will make you sea sick, as there's little to no "bobbing", but if traveling at a high speed and going over wakes, it can be a bit of a jolt - but that's half the fun. All said, wouldn't recommend this for folks who want to have a relaxing slow paced tour - but if you don't mind getting your hair knotty, and maybe even a little wet, this is a fantastic way to see the city. Don't wear a hat, and I highly recommend bringing sunglasses and sun screen. Last thing: remember to have cash to tip your captain! You will want to by the time you get off board.

Yelp
very cool place. The boat is faaaast. Its small only 6 peoplem which better than a ton of tourists and mic-ed tour guide. The tourgude MATT was very good, gave us lots of fun facts, very informative. Did I tell you the boat is fast? waay cooler than other tour's I've seen, like the duck's. MUST DO in miami beach.

Yelp
Fabulous tour! Our guide was so knowledgeable and courteous And the zodiac was a very smooth ride We went on a weekday which I would highly recommend as we were among the few boats of any kind in the water I would definitely recommend this tour!!

Yelp
Captain matt made My dream come true, to see wild dolphins. Before the tour i didn't have to high expectations on seeing them and matt said that he would do his best in trying to find them. And we did, a big group of dolphins. Me and My boyfriend was alone in this tour, i thougt that we wouldn't go at first but matt just said " youre Lucky, there's just gon be you two" I would recommend this to everyone. We learnd a lot about the areas around Miami by water, saw amazing houses, and great wildlife!

Yelp
While staying in South Beach Ocean Force Adventures is a must tour. The tour is on a Zodiac type boat that accommodates only 6 people and explores Miami by water. The tour visits Biscayne Bay, Star Island, Fisher Island, Stiltsville and Miami River. My wife and I arrived to find out we were the only ones booked for that particular tour so we had a private tour. Due to the wind on this day, Captain Matt explained we may not be able to see Stiltsville but we could go out and visit some other locations. Before taking off he explained some of the harbors surroundings and pointing out different fish in the harbor. Captain Matt was very informative, knowledgeable, and took his time to explain what we were seeing. The boat does go pretty fast so hold on to your hat! Make sure to wear sun screen, since you are in an open air boat. While this tour is not cheap it is the best way to see Miami by boat. Thank you Matt for a great trip!

Yelp
Ocean force Adventures, the most Informative and thrilling way to see Miami by water! I was just tickled to finally take the time to experience Ocean Force Adventures. Located in the beautiful Miami Beach Marina, this two hour tour in a six seater zodiac RIB boat was a great way to discover Miami by water. Not your "corky" slow tour, Captain. Brandon was full of interesting information that was not scripted, while the speed of the boat at times was a definite trill. From celebrity homes, private islands, key Biscayne, port Miami, Downton, Miami River and my very favorite was how close we got to Stiltsville, one of Miami's most unique and least heard off areas. I would highly recommend doing this excursion at least once to satisfy the adventurer in you! Friendly notes: *there is barely if any protection from the sun, bring sunblock, sunglasses, hat and maybe a shawl. * You can stop by Monty's Sunset for drinks or casual dining after your tour. *Remember to tip the captain! *It can get rocky and sometimes a bit wet.

Yelp
Just did this for the second time; this time with my grown daughter who was visiting from out of town. It wowed us both, her first and my second trip with Ocen Force! So much fun! The tour part is interesting and thorough with lots of time for questions, and Captain Matt knew lots more, when we asked about things and he seemed to leave out all the "boring bits". Anyway, there were none. This is serious fun! The boat itself is fabulous, fast, a thrilling ride, but suprisingly comfortable, stable and safe feeling too. You cover over 40 Miles in two hours, but we still had lots of time to relax and watch the dozen or so Porpoises that "caught our wake" and rode with us, then played all around us while we stopped to watch them, just a few feet away from the boat. Too much cool stuff to tell, you need to go try it, even if you are a "Local". It is hands down, no holds barred the BEST tourist activity in Miami, and you get big kudos from your guests for picking it! By the way, I am " 62" not "32" and this is my kind of adventure, too!

Joel M.

Yelp
We are not the type of people that like getting in a big boat with 100 other tourists and go gawking around town. This is how we found Ocean Force Adventures. This tour was very accomodating, enjoyable and the perfect way to see Miami from the bay. The tour guide is very knowledgeable about the area (probably par for the course). Since there are only up to 6 people on the tour it is a lot more personable, you can ask questions, and if you are nice spend a little longer in an area or look further into something. Unlike most businesses in Miami, the staff is professional, courteous, and most of all they communicate during the booking/scheduling/reminder process.

Yelp
We had a great time with Captain Matt! He gave us a fabulous tour and had all the inside information for the businesses, houses and neighborhood we breezed past. He is super friendly and reliable. I highly recommend booking a tour when in Miami. It will not disappoint.

Ginny D.

Yelp
This is definitely our kind of adventure!! My husband and I are in our early 30s so the idea of a tour is not so appealing to us. But, you could hardly call this a tour beacuse it was so much fun!! Reaching speeds up to 40mph with the wind blowing in our face and gorgeous views of Miami, Star Island, Fisher Island, Biscayne Bay, Key Biscayne, Virginia Key, Stiltsville and so much more!! It probably helped that the weather was perfect and the waters were calm. It was fantastic! Captain Matthew was very knowledgable and kept the tour interesting. He was so awesome to take our photos too! Highly recommend to those who want to see everything you need to and have fun at the same time.

Mike M.

Yelp
I had my reservation. I got the confirmation number/id on my email. I arrived 15 min prior scheduled departure. The boat arrived late. I was asked to take a seat aboard. After a few minutes we had more passengers than seats on board. So I was asked to leave the boat. I called the office and I was told that it was their mistake but they can not help me. I have visited a lot of places on several continents and I have never been treated this way. This is company's problem they overbooked the boat. I had one day trip to Miami and I lost a chance to take a bay boat cruise. High quality is not only having a fast boat but also to take care of your client. I have never given that low review but also I have never met such low quality. If you miss a scheduled departure you pay 600 plus tax. If you miss cruise due to company's mistake then that is OK.

Yelp
Best boat tour in South Beach. Tour guide Matt was knowledgeable and friendly!
google avatar

Bill B.

Yelp
Captain Matt is great, friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Boat is fast but that's about the only thing it's good at. No shelter from the Sun and terrible seats. Straddle them like an English riding saddle and not enough padding. Rough riding in this light boat. I felt sorry for the overweight person next to me. I was miserable from the butt beating and I'm fit. For the price I would rather have done the slow tour boat with real seats.

Deborah D.

Yelp
my boyfriend and i loved this tour. was definitely more expensive than the other boat tours out there but it was worth it. i hate being crammed on a boat with 100 other people. i also like how our guide (alex?) was informative and not all zany like some of the other tour guides i've had before. the boat goes fast at times - tie your hair back and don't wear your hat. you won't get wet and you'll be able to take lots of pictures. hopefully of dolphins! i'd also suggest doing this tour at the beginning of your trip to miami - it was great to get a lay-of-the-land and then choose which areas we wanted to explore more afterwards.

Bill D.

Yelp
I was a little skeptical about the price for a boat tour because I was thinking of a lazy ride on a ferry style boat with 100 others. But it's not a boat tour, it's a boat adventure, like their name says. Zipping along at 40+ mph in that little Zodiac was really different, with a max of 6 passengers (only 4 on our trip) and skipping over the waves was exhilarating! I had never even heard of Stiltsville before and going so far away from the Beach and out into the ocean to see it up close was really special.
