Whew, where do I even start?
Went here for a friend's birthday, expecting a five-star experience in Beverly Hills. What we got instead? A disaster. This was not my first time here but def my last. They did not show up how they use too. The food was HORRIBLE. Capital H, bold, italicized, and underlined. And the service? Let's just say I'm pretty sure they were short staffed and had to call the cook out of the bed to come make our meal. No, seriously. We waited so long I feel like we were just sitting there while he/she drove from home, parked, clocked in, and then finally got to work.
Now, I get it, we were a big party of 14. But let me be clear, NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE BUT US!!! On a Friday night. In the middle of Beverly Hills. That should've been the first red flag
My partner ordered a ribeye it came out cold the first time. Flavor was decent, but last I checked, steak isn't supposed to be served room temp. I got the "Ocean Sushi," which tasted like something I could've grabbed at my favorite happy hour spot for way less money! And honestly? It probably would've been better. The wedge salad was the only thing that was actually good, but let's be real, it's a wedge salad.
But the real MVP of the night... The brisket. My friend ordered the seared scallops with brisket, and when I tell you that brisket was so hard you could knock on it like a front door LMAO, I'm not exaggerating. She literally tapped it with her fork, and it made a sound. We joked that if she threw it at the window, the window would've shattered. They did take it back and remake it, but at that point, the damage was done. Both to the meal and to our entire experience.
To top it off, I never even got my second drink. After two hours, I just gave up.
Long story short, I wouldn't go back here. It's not worth the $2100 we spent! Ocean Prime Beverly Hills? More like Ocean Past Its Prime. If this place is still open in six months, I'll be shocked!!! Hanging on by a thread to stay open.
