Where to Buy the Best Caviar in Metro Detroit - Eater Detroit

"Shopping in Troy and looking to treat yourself, with a little caviar afterward? Look no further than Ocean Prime, just two blocks west of Somerset Mall. Opened in 2008 as the first of 20 locations across the U.S., this Troy essential offers a wide array of seafood options for both lunch and dinner. One of the menu’s featured appetizers is a decadent white truffle caviar deviled egg. Velvety deviled eggs are topped with white truffle shavings and a delicately placed serving of hackleback caviar. Although domestic caviar doesn’t often get the recognition it deserves, hackleback still has the nuttiness and mouthfeel that higher-end caviars are known for. A 6-ounce pour of Domaine Chandon Brut Classic NV is the perfect addition to this savory starter." - Will Reaume

Ocean Prime Troy.. let’s talk about. Called to make a reservation and although they didn’t have an opening at 7pm the kind hostess put me on the 6:30pm reservation and told me just get here by 7pm! That was greatly appreciated. Food: 3/5. It’s hard to rate posh restaurants on food because taste to price value is hard to say. It was a great 10oz filet. Medium and tender! The scallops however, were overcooked and more rubber than melt in your mouth? Strange for a seafood focused establishment. The sushi (Ocean Roll) was actually nice and as fresh as you can expect in Michigan. The crab cake… nothing special nor top 10 for me. Lastly, truffle Mac and cheese is goodish…. More of a truffle oil taste than an actual truffle taste. Service: 4/5. Our waitress was very attentive to my soft drink, keeping it full always which I love as an advocate Diet Coke consumer. The cleared the table between appetizer and dinner with new plates and utensils, always appreciated. Atmosphere: 5/5. This location has a beautiful outside terrace and the inside is modern yet classy. For the suburbs of Troy Michigan… it’s doesn’t get much nicer. Overall score: 3/5. Although the service and atmosphere were above average. The food is hard to justify at its price point and especially since the seafood was lacking in more than one category! Honestly a sushi app and steak dinner would have easily got me into the 4/5 range here.

Google
Ambience was excellent and a decent place for eventful diner. Service quality was very good., the crew was prompt in taking the order and brining the food on time. 04/2025 - Update: With in 3 months of visit, they changed the free bread to a paid bread, it’s only 8$ but, unacceptable - already it’s a pricey restaurant and they can’t give a free bread. Greediness overloaded. ——— Menu is limited in variety though. Also food is decent, if not great, for the price you pay. Dessert was very nice and decent portion rest all not a great in portions. Appetizers were average., main course was decent. Over all a decent experience.

Google
My favorite restaurant . Always a good experience. Delicious food, cocktails, beautiful atmosphere and great waitress. White truffle caviar deviled eggs were amazing and Butter cake just wow, only Ocean Prime can do it like this. The waitress Emily, was very attentive, professional and helpful. Highly recommended.

Google
The food is excellent. However, I had a discriminatory experience. I noticed a pattern where Asian and Black customers are seated in the back or corners, while white customers are placed at the front or center. I experienced this myself. If this is unintentional, I hope the management reviews its seating policy to ensure all guests feel equally welcome.

Google
The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the black truffle deviled eggs, oysters, spicy tuna sushi roll, shrimp tempura roll, lobster linguine & filet & everything was made to perfection. Outside of the food being nothing short of amazing, our service was outstanding! Audrey was our server & she was truly a big help. Her incite on the menu helped in our decision for our picks. She was so sweet & so kind she truly made our night that much better.

Google
2nd time visiting this location and it was just as amazing as I remembered. For me the prices are for special occasion meals - we brought my MIL as a thanks for all she does. We started off with a round of specialty drinks (cucumber gimlet, hot and dirty martini, old fashioned) and appetizers (east coast oysters and ocean roll); And sushi is good but outstanding enough to justify the price. For an entree I ordered the surf & turf app which was perfectly seared scallops and a bit of braised short rib on top of puréed mash blend. It was incredibly tender and flavorful. My only note is personal preference to not have the sauce on top because texture wise, I don’t like whole mustard seeds. MIL ordered the ahi tuna and a caesar salad to start; husband ordered 10oz filet med rare with side zip sauce; also ordered truffle fries and Brussel sprouts to share. Best choices were the roasted sprouts, surf & turf app, and the salad. Everything is dressed well, served to temp, presented well and most importantly appropriately seasoned. At this point we said let’s indulge and get one more round of drinks (old-fashioned + Tito’s lemon drop) and desserts. Went with the crème brûlée and chocolate peanut butter mousse. I don’t eat chocolate, but that dessert was so decadent and delicious - perfectly creamy tasting like a Reese cup as a mousse. Crème brûlée was solid she said it was underrated and she was correct that fresh tart fruit with a little bit of creamy vanilla, crunchy caramelized sugar bits ugh so delicious. Nothing was too heavy or rich. amazing meal. I left satisfied but not overstuffed. Service was top notch - they were attentive but not on top of you and it still felt relaxed though a bit more upscale. Drinks were solid too. I’d love to visit for happy hour to try out more apps.

Google
It’s good, not great in my opinion. First of all, the service was top tier. Everyone from the valet attendant to our waiter, Ulysses, was fantastic. The food was good. For the appetizers, we tried the surf and turf, crab cakes and calamari. Out of the three, the crab cakes won the day with the surf and turf at a close second. The calamari was good but we all agreed that we’ve had better at Joe Muers and Capitol Grille. The Blackened Snapper was pretty good, not great. The Scollops as an entree were really good. The salmon and the lamb chops were great. The one thing that needs to be dropped from the menu - the Miso Chili Roasted Broccoli. It was edible but not awesome at all. The Warm Butter Cake as a dessert was great and plentiful. It was a solid final touch. I would say Ocean-Prime was good but I’m not rushing to get back in there at the moment. It’s definitely worth a try and maybe I need to just lay off of the broccoli. Either way, it’s still a solid 4.3/5 in my book.

Google
This is my very favorite restaurant hands down! Their service is amazing, they are friendly very accommodating. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. I came to OP the very first week they opened and I have never been disappointed the food is awesome. I ask for something thats was no longer make and they do it every time with a smile. I almost forgot to take pix of the entree because I couldn’t wait to eat it lol if you haven’t been go.

Yelp
Heading to Ocean Prime with my fiancé turned out to be a stroke of genius - it was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions we've ever made. From the moment we walked in, it was evident that we were in for a treat. The food was nothing short of perfection, and on the rare occasion it fell short, they swiftly made it right, even going above and beyond by treating us to something extra tasty as an apology. The culinary delights aside, the restaurant itself was a sight to behold. Every corner exuded elegance, making our dining experience all the more enchanting. However, it wasn't all smooth sailing. We found ourselves seated right by the bustling area where bills were being settled, which unfortunately meant we spent the evening listening to the constant chatter of the waitstaff. Not exactly the serene, intimate dinner we had envisioned, especially for a place of such high standard. Despite the less-than-ideal seating arrangement, the overall experience was delightful, and I wouldn't hesitate to return. After all, exceptional food and impeccable service do tend to outweigh minor inconveniences. So, here's to hoping for a quieter table next time!

Yelp
We went there the other night has a group of 12, and we were seated into a side private room so that was great. The service was amazing, very attentive and the servers were knowledgeable and answered any questions we had . Every one enjoyed their food. The meal started with an assorted bread basket, I loved the warm small pretzels. For appetizers we started with the calamari, goat cheese ravioli, and surf n turf. All three were delicious I especially liked the calamari. Some people also had soup, they enjoyed the French Onion and I really liked the lobster bisque. It was very good. Of the dinner entrees I tasted the sea bass and scallops were very good. I ordered the Ahi Tuna and I enjoyed it. We tried multiple sides: truffle Mac &cheese, asparagus, and brussel sprouts. I loved the Mac and Cheese and asparagus. Overall this was a great night with great food.

Yelp
4 1/2 ....The service was awesome as Shannon explained the menu and answered questions. She routinely checked but not over checked. Sea Bass - I was going excellent. My wife and I debated on getting this one. But I have to agree, pretty darn good. It moist and glistening. The Sea Bass seasoning and the potato puree went together well. Blackened Snapper on top of Corn Emulsion - a good match and friendly on the taste buds. The blackened could use a slight touch of heat but still taste very good, especially with the corn emulsion, the sweet creamy corn stuff under the Snapper. We enjoyed parts of the carrot cake and creme brulee, but we were pretty full at the point. Prime Steak Tartare - I only had a couple of forks opting to carry out to share with my kid. It ends up having too many capers that overpowered the steak. Almost a caper tartare. Overall, this is a keeper for future visits. There are a few more menu items we want to try.

Yelp
Exceptional service which is hard to find that these days! Really attentive & detailed. Food is always great here too. Definitely recommend over the other, many competing options on Big Beaver!

Yelp
I came to Ocean Prime during lunch. The ambience was nice and gave the feel of an elegant, modern decor fine dining. However, I would have liked some accents/colors or something that reminded me of the ocean. The music was a nice ambient dinner music and the staff was attentive and excellent! The food, I'm disappointed to say, was very underwhelming. I didn't see much on the menu I wanted, so I settled for a fish sandwich since I always love a good fish sandwich and what better place to get one than a place that caterers to high quality seafood dishes? For $26 I expected at least a nice presentation other than a slightly charred bun with tartar sauce and some shredded lettuce (?) that looked like cole slaw. The flavors on the cajun seasoned fish just didn't come through for me and I barely tasted anything not even the tartar sauce. My lunch companions got a salmon salad that looked pretty good, teriyaki salmon, ahi tuna and sea scallops. Maybe I got the wrong dish, but it was so blah I don't have a desire to come back.

Yelp
Ocean Prime is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is spectacular, the service is spot on and the cocktails are amazing. Even the presentation of the cocktails is excellent. It's a beautiful restaurant and it's never fallen even slightly short for me. It's priced but worth it

Yelp
Could not have been happier celebrating my birthday with my family at OceanPrime! When we arrived, our table was decorated with birthday confetti which I thought was a cute gesture. From the many drinks to numerous dishes we ordered, everything satisfied my taste buds! Our waiter was so nice in accommodating us since we spent about 4 hours at dinner. The pictures do not do the food justice. Cocktails: Aperitivo 7.5/10, Berries & Bubbles 6.7/10, Shot VSOP Hennessy 10/10 Appetizers: Prime Steak Tartar 10/10, Pointe Judith Calamari Asian Zing 8.7/10, Ocean Roll 10/10 (Best) Main: Black Truffle Filet Mignon 9.5/10, Lobster Linguini 9.5/10 Dessert: Chocolate Torte 9/10 Overall an amazing experience, food, and ambiance.

Yelp
This was my second time here, had dinner here and recently lunch. Location is nice, in the sommerset mall area of Troy. When you walk in they have a really nice wine wall in back of the hostess stand. Inside has a nice warm and elegant look. This last time I ate here for lunch on their patio. Today my date had the Chilean Sea Bass which was great! I had the chicken caesar salad. This place is not cheap but also I do not feel ripped off, for what you pay for you get really good food and wait staff was attentive. For sure will be coming back. It is worth the stop.

Yelp
We went here for my birthday. Atmosphere is beautiful and service is like in a steakhouse. They asked if I wanted a water or sparkling water, and charged $7.5 for sparkling. And I know it is a steakhouse and everything should be overpriced. We ordered salad which wasn't anything impressive, steak was 2-3 stars. We ordered sides of asparagus, mushrooms, and brussels, and all three sides were mushy, overcooked, and too salty. Very disappointing. In this case the dinner was $300 without any alcohol and in terms of quality of food, it is not worth it. Frankly, I go to eat for food, normal service and atmosphere. I don't want to pay extra $150 for just a steakhouse. ‍ well, it is my subjective, of course, opinion

Yelp
My husband and I frequent ocean prime regularly. Yesterday was our 7 year anniversary and everyone asked where we were going to celebrate. We, of course, chose ocean prime and told them that it's because they're always consistent, the service is always excellent and food is always delicious. Portions are always the same. Flavors are always the same. I am never disappointed HOWEVER, last night was different. Our portions were so small!!! It was very disappointing. I cannot believe the oyster that they served us even left the kitchen. They're were tiny!! We had a waiter who was very different than the usual service we receive. He was nice but definitely not catering. We voiced that our oysters were small and we were displeased and he said "yeah you probably should've ordered the dozen instead of the half dozen." (By the way, we were still charged for the dozen instead of the half dozen but chose not to say anything." Our short rib was so much smaller than usual. The calamari was dry rather than saucy like usual. This was soo disappointing because ocean prime was the ONE place I could count on to be consistent. After Covid, so many restaurants have taken a hit and it seems that, unfortunately, ocean prime has now too :(
google avatar

Melissa W.

Yelp
Mediocre at best. For the cost of the food, I'd expect much better. Our server was attentive and pleasant, and they did comp desserts for our anniversary, which was very nice. However, the food was underwhelming. We had the salmon, the filet, Caesar salad, house salad (probably the highlight of the meal), French onion soup, and the smoked Gouda tater tots. It was all just ok. Nothing was terrible but nothing stood out either. First and last time for both of us.

Yelp
Ocean Prime remains one of the true classy restaurants in the area. It's the perfect place for a special occasion or date night. We recently celebrated my 40th birthday here and had the absolute best time. If you come here for a special occasion you must request the half moon booth, it's so perfect and cozy, we loved it. They had it decorated for my birthday which was a nice touch. Every single employee who walked by wished me a happy birthday, they definitely train their employees to make people feel special. Our server Dina was a gem. She knew the menu inside and out and made great recommendations. I couldn't decide between steak or seafood so Dina made a great suggestion to spilt a steak. We ended up splitting a 10oz filet and then I had the Florida Grouper and my husband had the lobster tails. Everything was absolutely outstanding. The lobster melted in your mouth, the steak was cooked to perfection and the grouper was so good. To end the meal the brought me out a complimentary chocolate dessert which was decadent and so good. I was impressed with the amount of gluten free options and the fact that they took food allergies very seriously. Overall an outstanding meal and Dina was an amazing server.

Yelp
The food was very delicious & the service was great. The ambiance is formal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Yelp
A last minute decision to take my wife to dinner, she was surprised and delighted. We had an awesome server named J.C at the Troy location. He was superb. Great attention to detail, attentive, warm great personality. He is the reason I will surprise my wife again.
google avatar

Yelp
Small details make a dish. The chef knows this for sure. The service is top-notch. Our server was knowledgeable of the food being served to the point of almost bragging. After tasting the food, the praise was well deserved. The restaurant is decorated to impress, which makes the dress code appropriate. I think all fine dining establishments should enforce this. I don't want to see or smell inappropriate things while enjoying a meal.

Mark B.

Yelp
Way Overpriced Food, $800.00 for the four of us and then they charged for opening a bottle of wine!

Yelp
My name is Optimus Prime, meet my cybertronian life mate, Ocean Prime. Together we protect earth from the evil forces of the Decepticons. Megatron is waging war on all seafood. King Crabs are scarce, Alaskan Halibut are in hiding, and 90 dollar shellfish towers are falling. Megatron will not stop until all salmon bow to his cruel and unrelenting will. We are earths last hope for seafood survival. New autobots have joined the battle, AHI, SCALLOP, and SEA BASS, will not stop until the Deceptions are vanquished. Ocean prime will soon open the matrix and defeat the likes of Megatron. Until all are one, Roll Out!!

Yelp
First time trying Ocean Prime even though it has been around for a while. Chilean sea bass with puréed cauliflower and caviar- the sea bass was so soft and I liked the tangerine garnish Scallops- very tasty and soft - probably better than the sea bass Crab over ice- very tiny portion but comes on dry ice which is fun. I liked the sauce. Shrimp sautee- really great flavor; it also comes with some cheese bread. I didn't enjoy the truffle Mac as much as I thought I would. The noodles are very thick so it felt so rich I could only have a couple bites. Jalapeño au gratin - cheesy potatoes with a hint of jalapeño flavor. No jalapeño chunks or anything so I thought it was well done. Next time I would probably get this and pass on the mac Creme brulee- I like that this was pretty light and not as dense as I usually have had crème brulee from other places. I like it more than Capital grille's creme brulee. Service was nice and it wasn't too crowded. They label gluten free options on the menu which is great. There were two gluten free dessert options. I don't know if this is what usually happens I didn't order the upgraded seasonal sea bass dish but I think my server accidentally put it in as such. Asked if I would still eat it to save time waiting for a new dish, I agreed. When the bill came I was charged for the one they accidentally served me.

Yelp
I visited Detroit for a wedding and had dinner at this restaurant. I made a reservation and asked for them to write my bf a happy Father's Day note on his plate. I wasn't sure they would do it but they did, and our dinner ended beautifully. It started wonderfully as well. Our waiter was charismatic and accommodating. He suggested great drinks and when I told him what I was looking for he created the perfect appetizers and entrees for us. The food was excellent. We had lobster, shrimp, Chilean sea bass (least favorite though, not the flavor I was looking for). The bubbles and berries drink was fun and the desert they served my bf was a warm cake with ice cream that he didn't want to share lol. The restaurant itself is spacious and has cool architecture and lighting. I will definitely be back when I visit Detroit in the future. Hopefully this summer so I can sit outside.

Yelp
We joined them for Mother's Day. Some items were specifically from their Mother's Day Brunch menu. Environment: Lovely dining room, but we sat on the patio... It was equipped with space heaters. Umbrellas were dirty and not deployed. This restaurant has been at this location for quite a while, one would think they'd invest in cover for the patio to remedy the tree debris that plagues not only their tables but their guests, food, and drink. Food: Disappointing... we ordered the two Lobster/Short Rib surf and turfs and the pork chop. Also, the Brussels sprouts and mushrooms to share. The potatoes and bacon that accompanied the pork were undercooked and fatty. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked and underseasoned with barely a hint of vinegar. The mushrooms were also underseasoned... We also had cocktails. One was presented with no garnish. Service: Service was sort of odd. Our waiter was attending the patio alongside one other, but we had to parrot questions to the busboy several times.. the busboy would then relay to the waiter, but we received no answers. The patio had four active tables... we could see him talking with his colleagues. Very odd. Overall: I take experiences on hectic holidays as a true test of a restaurant's organization and ability to supply amazing food. Although the proteins we were presented with were well-cooked, the other stations fell short. We were especially dissatisfied with the state of the veg and the wait staff was less than helpful to get it fixed. I won't be visiting again, and it's made me rethink chain restaurants at this price point... seems less-quality oriented.

Yelp
Ocean Prime is always a good choice for dinner. Wednesday night reservations at 6PM for 4 people. I pulled up to Valet and a little wait for attendant. The attendant was apologizing for the wait and was very professional. We were promptly seated in the dining room because the skies were becoming very dark and a storm was approaching. This location has plenty of windows overlooking the patio area which is decorated with beautiful plants and flowers. We began with cocktails and if you have not tried the Black Orchid ... you are missing out. This is definitely one my favorites. Belvedere Organic Blackberry & Lemongrass Infusion, St. Germain, Fresh Lemon & White Cranberry. This cocktail Is shaken and pour over a cube of ice with an edible orchid. Light and refreshing a perfect summer drink. Popcorn is always placed on the tables and a great snack to enjoy while sipping on drinks and chatting. The bread basket arrived with fresh breads and whipped butter. I do recommend asking server for some melted cheese to compliment the pretzel rolls, Appetizers were ordered followed by soup and salads. AHI TUNA TARTARE* Avocado, Ginger Ponzu, Sesame Seeds. Absolutely delicious, the tuna was so fresh you would have thought the caught it that day. POINT JUDITH CALAMARI with Sweet Chili Sauce. The chili sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and heat. The CHOP CHOP SALAD is very popular, Hard Cooked Egg, Salami, Fresh Mozzarella, Smoked Bacon, Club Dressing. I would suggest to order the dressing on the side as it was a little to much for my liking. Let's not forget the CRISP ICEBERG "WEDGE" Candied Bacon, Marinated Tomatoes, Pickled Onions, Bleu Cheese, Cabernet Buttermilk Dressing The LOBSTER BISQUE Butter Poached Lobster was rich and creamy. Entrees arrived with a nice presentation and I can appreciate that each course is timed perfectly. You never feel rushed and the time in between allows you to digest the food ;) CHILEAN SEA BASS Whipped Potatoes, Champagne Truffle Sauce Fresh fresh and perfectly cooked, the potatoes were fluffy which melted in your mouth. TERIYAKI SALMON* Shiitake Sticky Rice, Soy Butter Sauce beautiful presentation however, disappointed the salmon was rare and not cooked at all. The server took one look after I cut into it and immediately apologize and removed the plate. 10 OZ FILET MIGNON with BÉARNAISE SAUCE OP is know for steaks and seafood and this cut of meat was great. They broil at 1200° with their blessed seasoning. One bite which melts away on your tongue. CRAB CAKES Brussels Sprouts, Corn, Tomatoes, Fingerlings, Mustard Cream Ordering crab cakes in this day and age.. you hold your breath hoping you do not end up with 2 small cakes mostly filled with everything BUT the crab! Not here ... these were nice portions with large pieces of crab Shareable a for the table SMOKED GOUDA TATER TOTS - yum yum everyone loves tater tots ROASTED BRUSSELS SPROUTS - hard pass these were lightly roasted and very bitter. I love Brussels sprouts ask anyone but these were gross they should have added something (hey how about a little butter) BACON CREAMED SPINACH - a nice amount of bacon which did not over power.

Yelp
Lovers everything about the experience and the food. A definite win for me. Loved the Salmon. Beautiful ambiance. Definitely worthy of a second visit!

Yelp
I recently celebrated my 40th Wedding Anniversary at Ocean Prime and I must say OP did not disappoint. This is my second event being hosted here. I love the ambiance of this restaurant . The food was great and the service was impeccable (Thank You Kenneth and Crew). My family really enjoyed my anniversary celebration. I couldn't imagine another restaurant because OP has set their standards so high that it would be a let down for me and my guests. I would like to thank Sue ( Event Planner) for her expertise service. Thanks Again OP Elayne H.

Yelp
We went there for the first time on Saturday, March 2 and it was a great experience! Adam, our server, was so attentive and on top of it. we didn't have to ask for a single thing and he gave great recommendations. Food and drinks were excellent. we definitely will be back.

Yelp

Yelp
My favorite restaurant. Yes it is pricy, however it's expensive for a reason. Their amazing selection of high end meals cooked to perfect is absolutely worth the price. My personal favorite is the sea bass and it's absolutely amazing here. The restaurant is super clean and cool, even the restrooms are spotless. The service is absolutely amazing and the chefs are absolutely masters of cooking! Highly recommend

Yelp
Happened to be on business in the Detroit area and this restaurant was recommended to us. This was perfect! The restaurant has a very cool vibe with an extensive sushi list and craft cocktails. We also had a wonderful tartare! Great ending to a great day. Highly recommend

Yelp
My wife and I have eaten here multiple times. We like to eat here when we reach a big milestone in our lives or achieve our goals to celebrate. Ocean Prime has been a huge part of our life's success. The food is always amazing, the service is top notch and the ambiance is nice and romantic. The deviled eggs are a must and for desert the butter cake never disappoints.

Yelp
Just OK for an upscale top of the line steakhouse and seafood spot. The Parmesan risotto came with vegetables in it, not as expected. The Truffle Mac & Cheese made with low end elbow macaroni, and no truffle taste, completely overpowered by butter. Seabass worse than Eddie V's. Truffle French Fries thick and not that great. For the price was left with a terrible taste in my mouth. Our server Emily was great, and the bubbles and berries cocktail as well, that was about it.

Yelp
Other than them having Detroit in their listing and being located in Troy, they are suburb and never disappoint in food, service, or ambiance.

Yelp
Always a pleasant experience when dining in here. My close friends and I like to come here on special occasions. Been here plenty of times to celebrate each other's birthdays (this is our go to place). Sucker for their french onion soup (what I always get). I also usually get the teriyaki salmon and their side of mashed potatoes. On the pricier side but their portions are reasonable for what you pay for. Very attentive staffs! Never had a bad experience. Highly recommend for special occasions or date night!

Yelp
3/5 the Chilean sea bass- way too greasy and buttery IT hindered the flavor of the fishy 5/5for the calamari- the sauce was delicious! 5/5 peanut butter chocolate mud pie. I chose this Ofer the carrot cake (I've had carrot cake in past) and did not regret decision. The dresser comes with chocolate sauce 5/5 house salad- perfect balance of goat cheese apples nuts, a little heavy on dressing though 3/5 crab cakes 4/5 for the ravioli Overall great experience but it is pricey

Yelp
I decided to treat my wife to some good seafood and Ocean Prime in Troy, Michigan didn't disappoint. Zahir was our waiter. He was very attentive and made good recommendations. I had a question about a couple of bottles of champagne. He was not familiar with them but quickly asked the bartender for a better choice. We started off with the Calamari with a sweet chili sauce. Very good. Next, my wife had the Lobster Bisque and I had the French Onion Soup. Both delicious. As one of the waitstaff started to pour the bisque over the lobster and into the bowl, a leaf fell from above onto the table (we ate outdoors). I jokingly asked if this was a garnishment for my wife's soup? I got a laugh from them. Finally, my wife had the Chilean Sea Bass with sides of Lobster Tail and Asparagus. Her fish had a creamy white sauce which enhanced the flavor. The asparagus was cooked to perfection. I had the Tomahawk (Wagyu) Ribeye which was thinly sliced and medium rare. My side dish was Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Much of the food here is à la carte and it can get pricey for some people. Great for special occasions. Excellent food, great service. We will be back.

Yelp
I've been here a few times. Lost a star because the first time I came, the food was mediocre. However, the most recent time I went, the food was out of this world. I'd definitely give this another chance to redeem the star, but friends have also said it can be a hit or miss

Yelp
We made a reservation on Open Table. We've dined here before and wanted to celebrate our anniversary here. We checked the website and Yelp reviews to see if there is a dress code. It's a nicer restaurant and our anniversary, so we ditched our work from home attire and wore something that required ironing. When we arrived, we saw a couple walking in wearing gym clothes. The woman was wearing a ball cap, tee shirt, tights, and Crocs. We were early for our reservation but they seated us anyway. Service was great from start to finish. The waiter brought out bread with whipped butter. We also ordered the calamari, lobster mashed potatoes, blackened snapper, and 10 ounce filet with lobster tail. The calamari was good but for the price, we felt the portion was a bit small. Crushed peanuts and/ or scallions would have been a nice garnish. The filet was cooked just as we wanted but could have used a little more seasoning. The fish was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes was good but not salty enough for our taste. At the end, we were treated to a delicious dessert of our choosing!

Yelp
This is our favorite steakhouse. We love the atmosphere in the bar and tend to eat our dinners there. Steaks are great, chophouse corn is delicious and my favorite item is the BUTTER CAKE. Yum!

Yelp
The food is amazing and the service is even better. The ambiance itself is enough to persuade anyone to return.

Yelp
Now this is what I call an exquisite dinner, at a place that I consider "top notch", and they did joy disappoint tonight. Service, quality of food, presentation, user experience, everything was as it was supposed to be! Had business dinner tonight with several colleagues. Our server was extremely pleasant, he knew his menu and managed to provide an outstanding customer experience. I had a 27 oz ribeye steak with garlic mash potatoes, while enjoying a Sauvignon Blanc (well, 2 glasses). Price is commensurate with the experience, and yes, at $53 may not be affordable by many. I ended with my favorite creme brûlée, which I expected to be fantastic. And at only $12.

Yelp
First place I went to after the stay at home order was lifted. It was the first hour of the first day open in months so I expected a few hitches. Much to my surprise there were none. To ensure patrons safety, all staff wore masks. We were greeted with friendly smiles that were beaming through the face coverings. Indoor seating was adequately spaced for proper social distancing. We opted for patio seating. The sears were far apart yet close enough to chat with neighboring tables. Our server Casey was awesome. He gave us just the right amount of attention to feel cared for but not bothered. He had good recommendations and perfect timing. The food was delish. The shrimp sauté appetizer had a bit of a kick that was easily offset by the cheesy breadsticks that came with. I chose the scallops with Parmesan risotto and it was amazing. My friend selected the sea bass and raves about it. Let me not forget the craft cocktails. My fave was berries and bubbles made with berry flavored vodka, Chandon brut, Grand marnier, fresh berry and dry ice! What a show. We finished up with dessert. Unable to choose between the mango/lime sorbet with almond cookie and the butter cake, we went for both. They were both so sinful! All in all our visit to ocean prime was top notch!

Yelp
waiting one hour for a sharmoota to give us our food, and when i tell you how bad this place was, i was honestly shocked on how they even served our food when it was STONE COLD, fries were cold, sea bass was the worst fish i had in my life. my toilet right now is screaming god help me. The plate was so hot i can cook an egg on it, made me feel like they microwaved our food because of how long it's been sitting. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Yelp
Ate here over the weekend for the first time ever and I will say the food is amazing and service was OK... the server barely stopped by our table to check in once the food was dropped off to us. The environment inside the restaurant is amazing. Only issue I had was that I used ocean primes valet and everything went perfect until I got my car back. It seemed like the valet guy went digging through my center console and glove box. Just kind of alarming since I trusted them to take care of my car. Other than that I would definitely recommend eating here just maybe stay away from using their valet company...

Yelp
I went for my birthday and the staff was amazing. They even had cute birthday confetti on the table. I mean they went above and beyond and don't even get me started on the food... amazing. If you're looking for great food, atmosphere and world class service Ocean Prime is right for you
