Oceans 234

Everything was amazing. The special lobster ravioli appetizer was the highlight. Australian lamb chops, and coconut mahi.. amazing. Our server Jose made the night very special. Spaced everything out perfectly, and was very attentive, polite, and knowledgeable about the menu.

Oceans 234 is truly a wonderful spot, especially for celebrating a birthday. From the moment we arrived, the valet attendants were prompt and efficient, assisting us within three to four minutes—even on a busy Saturday afternoon around 5 p.m. Upon entering the restaurant, the front desk staff were extremely welcoming and immediately acknowledged the birthday celebration (which they thoughtfully ask about when making reservations). Our waitress and the rest of the staff were attentive, well-organized, and worked seamlessly together to ensure the restaurant ran smoothly. The food was outstanding. We started with the calamari and the firecracker roll, both of which were delicious. For our entrées, we ordered the filet mignon and shrimp scampi, and both were excellent. To top it all off, I received a chocolate mousse cake for my birthday that was absolutely amazing and worth returning for on its own. Overall, the entire team made our first visit welcoming and memorable, and they truly helped make my birthday a special experience.

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing ocean view 🌊. Relaxed atmosphere and tasty food, though the fish tends to be slightly overcooked and the batter could be fresher. Staff is friendly, sometimes forget small details, but they correct mistakes quickly. Nice bar and a solid wine list. Overall, a pleasant spot and definitely worth a visit for the view and vibe.

Chocolate dessert was divine. Yellowtail fish was great. Scallops good. Spicy margarita mock tail def get again.

Who doesn’t love a view of the beach while enjoying a nice lunch?! Drinks were well crafted, service was amazing. The “smash” burger was very good however I would not consider it a smash burger as the patty was pretty thick- more of just a regular cheeseburger.

I enjoyed a great dinner last night here. The bartenders were great. I forget their names and I’m sorry because they were good vibes. The steak was cooked perfectly with the sauce on top was very good. The ceviche was also really delicious with the right amount of tang for the sauce the ceviche was in. I recommend this place for sure. The steak being 55 dollars . You get what you pay for. Do you want a rowdy place or a quiet place to enjoy your time and a meal. Thanks guys

Super Dissapointed! I’m from the area and have been to JB’s next door several times for years. I walked in no expectations but it didn’t take long before I was super disappointed. The service from Jose was awful. It felt rushed and the entire service his tone was condescending. His manager (woman with curly hair) took away our full appetizers that and didn’t care to ask what was wrong with the sour burrata and soggy calamari. The entrees I will say were amazing but I don’t like anything smoked so I asked for the Demi glaze on the side. The filet mignon came drenched in the sauce and I had to wait another 20 min before Jose came back to the table. Another 20 min later the food came out and was actually quite delicious. I would like to say that I’d be open to returning for another delicious filet mignon with NO SMOKED DEMI GLAZE and charred asparagus but the service was bad enough for me to refrain. It was a slow semi rainy night and there was no reason for the awful service or bad attitudes from Jose and his manager. Food runners were all nice but that’s where it ends I suppose. Also the dulce de leche cremé brûlée would have been great if it wasn’t piled to the ceiling with sea salt.

Brian was our server and was delightful. He is pleasant, funny, engaged, proactive and anticipatory. The view can’t be beat and the kitchen does a great job with the food.My husband recently developed a severe intolerance to gluten, garlic, onions and Fructans which is difficult for us to handle at home, let alone at a restaurant. The fact that Brian was well versed on ingredients and was able to make suggestions to us was impressive. The kitchen folks did an amazing job on his food with his restrictions and it was actually the best meal he’s had out since this happened. Mine was the Scallops and Mushroom Risotto and was fantastic!. Thank you so much to the entire staff of Oceans 234 you guys are THE BEST!

Very cool and busy place, sits right on the beach... seams to be one of the more trendy spots in Deerfield. Food was excellent, steak was cooked perfectly. Great selection on the menu with a number of daily specials. Service is strong and professional. We will definitely be back.

Oceanside dining. Amazing food. Great drinks. Friendly service. Have been here several times. Visited for a lunch on Friday. Fish dip starter - standing! My wife had the mahi Rueben. I wouldn't know how good it was because she wouldn't share, which means it must have been excellent. I had the lobster roll and can't complain; swapped fries for Brussels sprouts which had bacon and a delicious sauce. I remember having the lobster Mac n cheese on a prior visit, and was tempted this time but skipped. Grilled octopus is also tasty! Valet parking in front for $7.

I was in town for a quick visit so we went here for dinner. The evening was young, the ambiance was calm and hip. Some nice green walls and a very cool wine locker. We started with cold water oysters from the east and west coasts. Very nice to try different kinds, Oregon, MA and ME they were cold and crisp. Our server Brian was helpful in selecting our wine. We tried a Pino Noir from Soma that was pretty good. Two of us ordered the Tia mahi mahi and it was delicious! We were very pleased. We finished with the chocolate ganache and an expresso martini. Very happy with the experience.

Nice ambience. Service was okay. Couldn't find our server for extended periods of time. Had to wait 10 minutes to ask for the check and another 10 minutes to pay and wait for the change. Food was meh. The fish was overcooked, tough, and dry, lack of flavor except a strong spice. Flour tortilla was used when it should be corn. The tortilla wasn't even warmed up. The oysters were good. Wouldn't make a point of returning if in the area again.

We were trying to plan a dinner for a family of 8 adults & five children under 10. Thankfully this spot was the perfect choice! Located on Deerfield Beach not far from the pier it offered indoor or outdoor seating . WE chose outdoor and our table had views of the beach promenade & the beach as well! The children were able to get up ( and play on the sand) while we waited for normal meal turnaround) and that gave the adults a chance to chat in peace, The food was delicious all of us raved about our selections. As well as the fussier eaters ( our kids) all ate well! Definitely want to commend the waitstaff, she was lovely and anticipated all our needs to keep things running smoothly for all. I'd definitely choose to dine here again & again! A romantic vibe that is also good for larger groups!

Always a great spot for lunch on the ocean. The service is outstanding; you'll never wait for a refill, and they pace the courses nicely. The food is also great. I pretty much always order the Members Only Roll, so I'd highly recommend that. However, the avocado guacamole is also excellent. The ocean view means that the ambiance is always perfect!

Come for the view, stay for the food and dream about your return visit with friends and family. I was here with a friend that made reservations and didn't have time to see reviews ahead of time. Oceans 234 is a highly sought after place so make reservations and have patience with the staff. We started with the Calamari. It was delicious with fried cherry peppers Next I had the seared scallops. It came with truffle mushroom risotto and crispy leeks. I would order this again for sure. I love leeks and wish more restaurants would serve them. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The risotto was a bit undercooked for me. It's difficult to get that perfect creaminess. My friend had the filet and I was drilling. It really looked great. My wish list for next time is, grilled octopus, lobster Mac and cheese and another glass of their cold beer. It was a perfect evening. I can only hope to have as good of a time on my next visit. Until then I will be savoring their menu some more.

Amazing NYE dinner. We split the following: Middleneck Clams, Shrimp & Grits for appetizers; Coffee-roasted Short Ribs for our main and Brussel Sprouts for our side. We cannot stop raving about the whole spread. Everything was excellent including the service as always!

I have been here many of time,everything from food to the service is always awesome. Tonight was our Anniversary and Ocean 234 made it extra special.

The setting is superb, with a patio overlooking the ocean and pier. The atmosphere is calm, and the addition of live music adds a pleasant touch. The service is up to par for a place of this caliber. The only downside was that my fish was overcooked, but it was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent experience.

I haven't been here in years. I used to love it and now I love it even more. They've redone the inside and outside, the food is more delicious, and it's more classy. We took our niece here and had a great time. We were able to get a seat outside and the weather was actually nice. Yay for non-tourist season. I forget our servers name, she was ok, a bit rushed and not great at taking photos. Lol. But it was ok. All of us loved our food and drinks. My nieces pina colada was delicious, as well as my aperol spritz. She liked her veggie roll, husband loved his burger and fries. I wasn't really hungry but the lobster sushi roll called to me and I'm so glad I got it. Beyond delicious! I want to go back and get another. Bonus points for it being right on the beach. Negative points for the gross elderly couple making out all through dinner. Not Oceans fault though. :)

Date night was a smashing success. We had a seafood extravaganza, and everything was excellent, from the oysters on a half shell, to the salmon sushi and salmon sashimi. Amazing experience. Service was delightful, and mixology was spot on. I am definitely coming back here.

I really love the vibe here . Staff was great and of course very pleasant and welcoming. We were seated outside even though it was pretty warm but there was also a nice breeze. We had grilled swordfish , burgers, The drinks were so refreshing. The food here blew me away ! It was ridiculously delicious. Would definitely recommend and would definitely revisit!

This restaurant is very out standing in every way, the service, the food, the drinks, and the location of the restaurant is so amazing, it sits on Hillsboro Beach with a oceanfront view with the pier next to it, it's definitely a great place to visit.

Food was served quickly even tho I was in no rush to go home. :)))) Great company seems to do that. :))) it's a must try location when you're in the area. We had an amazing time. Especially with the amazing cuddling weather. The pier and the beach right there to be able to walk the food off. We brought blankets to sit on the beach after. :)))) Overall it was so nice this restaurant. We will definitely be returning again. Recommended to others. The food here is yummy. The ambiance right by the beach overlooking the ocean. They staff is friendly and the service is great. I look forward to returning.

This was my first time at Oceans 234 and I loved it. We were seated in the patio with a beautiful view of the beach. My waitress was wonderful. She was very friendly and personable and made great recommendations. The food was also very delicious and the drinks were yummy. I will definitely go back. The valet was $12 and I was able to keep my car there while I spent a couple of hours at the beach after my lunch, I will definitely go back.

Nice ambiance, excellent water view of the beach and pier, very nice bar with great bartenders and very good happy hour! They have a nice wine selection and good cocktails as well. The food is always good, they have a large menu but could definitely use some more items that aren't seafood for the non seafood eaters. The staff is super friendly and the service is great. Excellent location to go for an after dinner walk under the moonlight by the beach or be by the beach during the day.Prices are reflective of the location of dining on the water(high rent) It is worth it! This isn't a one stop review I've been there many times! Great place for birthday celebrations too

A beautiful view from all tables at this on the beach location. Easy to find parking either with the valet or lots nearby. Made our reservation through Yelp and were quickly seated. We did receive a text mentioning we should let them know when we were there and then they would text us the table was ready, but we decided to go in when there wasn't a response. Essentially we found out to just ignore the text and go in to be seated. The hostess and our server were friendly and kind. Our server was very attentive as well. We started out with drinks. I had the French Hampton Water glass of rosé and my boyfriend had the Oceans 234 Colada. My rosé was light and refreshing, while barely sweet. Exactly what I was looking for. The colada was creamy and delicious! Definitely could have had two of those. We also ordered the fresh catch ceviche for an app. The raw fish was marinated perfectly with a hint of spice and there was a good amount of chunky fish in the ceviche overall. I loved the taro chips but they did break quickly and easily. Still enjoyable! I ordered the Ora King Salmon and my boyfriend had the Lobster Mac and Cheese. My salmon was blackened and cooked to medium rare. It was perfect. The butterscotch carrot purée was an unexpected touch of flavor, but delicious. Went well with the lemon marinated shallots. The lobster Mac and cheese came with a full lobster tail and claw. It was delicious but just an okay price for a dish with Mac and cheese personally. It was good but the Mac and cheese wasn't that great. The lobster was worth it though. All seafood was extremely fresh! We ended the night with a key lime pie dessert with blueberry compote. The blueberry compote was a perfect match for the key lime pie, almost overpowering in flavor at some points. The key lime pie itself was dense but still light and fluffy. We absolutely loved it all.

Went for our Anniversary last night. Everything was delicious great service & beautiful view on there patio. We had the steamed clams for appetizer, I had the Lobster Mac & Cheese & my Husband had the Surf & Turf, & got dessert they brought us out a complimentary chocolate treat with a sparkler. Absolutely amazing. The food, drinks, and service were all terrific. We sat outside with the beach just a few feet away. Our waitress was great with drink and food suggestions. The fish I had over mushroom risotto was out of this world. I would definitely recommend this place.

This restaurant gets 5 stars and the service had a lot to do with it! My friend made a reservation and marked down we were celebrating a birthday. When we were seated outdoors, it was quite cold. I wasn't prepared at all. Our server said if there's anything he can do to please ask. So I asked our server if he had a blanket and he said yes! Wow, he brought me a blanket and I was warm all night. So sweet. No one (front desk or server) mentioned the birthday but at the end of our meal, they brought out a cake and sang happy birthday. We were all surprised. Note that they have valet parking only and it has to be paid in cash - $7. I have been here before but my last visit made me appreciate this restaurant and their food. All of their dishes were a great size, shareable, and had an amazing presentation. My favorite out of everything we ordered? Their side of mushroom risotto. It's a must try! I make risotto at home and I thought that was great but this made me want to revisit my recipe. My next favorite item has to be their smoked fish dip. Really great for the table. At the end of our meal, there's a QR code so you can pay on your phone. The server was able to split items for us and check us out at our table. Also really convenient and helpful.

Another great anniversary dinner! I had the seared scallops. I should have asked for a little more done as they seemed just a tad undercooked for my taste (turn 'em over, maybe) but they were good atop risotto and fried thin onions. I would recommend the pompano or salmon too. The best part of Oceans 234 is the view. It's right on the beach near a pier which is so lovely at night. The service was attentive and prompt. The food came impossibly fast, and it was so fresh. I've not had risotto before and it flavorful. The bar was a fun place to wait for our table, very comfortable and great bartender too.

Great location right on the beach. The staff was so accommodating and nice we really felt welcomed and the staff was almost thankful for us being there. I relied on our server for recommendations, and he was spot on. I had the ceviche and beat salad, the fish was perfectly prepared with great flavor, the beat salad had a curry dressing WHOA! that was different and amazing I will be back!!

Love this place !! Oceans 234 is the perfect restaurant to meet up with friends, celebrate a special occasion, or just go as a couple. From the lobster mac & cheese to their ribeye steak you cannot go wrong with anything you pick on the menu. We went there last year and being from out of town I had to go back for the lobster mac & cheese. It is amazing. It is creamy and seasoned perfectly and you get a whole lobster tail that is flavorful. The ribeye steak and fingerling potatoes were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The fish tacos were wonderful with a great crunch, and finally the desserts with the mousse and chocolate ganache weredecadent.

We stayed in the area for 2 weeks. We loved Oceans234 so much we went there 3 times during our stay. I enjoyed the Lady Guava cocktail. We had the Firecracker sushi roll for an appetizer and Jerk Swordfish entree both were so flavorful we ordered the same dishes each time! The Dulce de leche creme brulee doesn't disappoint. The restaurant is on the pricey side but there arent too many restaurants with an ocean view and quality food! I wish Id taken pictures!

Celebrated my Birthday at Oceans 234 in Deerfield Beach, directly on the beach -- and it was such a special experience! The service was elevated (Manager Vince stopped by our table and was so kind!) and the food was incredible. Ambiance just can't be beat -- the sunset was memorable as was the breeze throughout our meal! We enjoyed the Yuzu Salmon Tiradito, Local Burrata, Seared Diver Scallops and Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb. Would order each of them again but can't wait to return and try other dishes! As it was my birthday, dessert (which was outrageous) came out with super fun sparkling candles...it was a memorable evening for my family and I and I look forward to returning in the future. Will absolutely keep in mind when celebrating or guests visiting from out of town.

I was treated here for a Valentine's Day dinner and the food was delicious. The service was quality and the server was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and could recommend things from the menu. The ambiance was very romantic. Definitely 10/10, I am definitely going to return.

I stopped by Oceans 234 for lunch the other day and am glad I did. The place is rather new, spacious, sparklingly clean, and with good modern décor. And as it is right on the water next to the pier, the views are spectacular. Oceans 234 has a really great menu with some items, such as Artic Char, rarely seen on the menu of other restaurants. But for my meal, I went for the diver scallops which came with a truffled mushroom, parmesan, lemon, and garlic. The scallops were plump, large in size, perfectly seared, and totally delicious. Beloved went for a Mahi Mahi sandwich with which he was very pleased. We also had some cocktails, mine being Bacardi and club soda, and Beloved having Bacardi and Sprite. Both of our drinks were of a generous pour of rum, and the service we had throughout our meal could not have been better or more professional.

Service:Excellent Food: great Prices: moderate to high (But you get what you pay for!) Ambiance= View of the beach and ocean while dining? Priceless. Would I eat here again? Absolutely, If I could afford it I would eat here every day for dinner for a year until I tried everything on the menu, (and then I would do it again.) Be aware there is only valet parking and it costs something like $12 Oh well it's just the price of admission to the seafood celebration on my tastebuds! Eat here now! You only live once.

My wife and I ate here for our anniversary last night and everything was fantastic! We were greeted very warmly and nicely, and the service was excellent. The manager John gave us a beautiful table right by the beach, and made sure that my wife would stay warm (it was a surprisingly cold night in south Florida) next to the heater and offered her a blanket. Lina was our server, and she was awesome! She gave great recommendations and was super friendly and constantly attending to our needs. We had appetizers, entrees, and a dessert, and all three phases of our food were cooked and prepared to perfection! If you are looking for an awesome restaurant on the beach, look no further.

I visited a friend in Boca Raton, and one evening we had dinner here. First of all, we sat out on their covered patio, facing the ocean, so the view was lovely. It was quite breezy that night, but we were comfortable. Every table was busy, no surprise for a warm earliest November evening! My friend enjoyed her glass of wine but didn't have a 2nd because it was rather expensive. I had their Deerfield Beach lager, standard beer pricing, that was tasty. We decided to share several dishes rather than have to choose just one entree each. We had the beet salad that was excellent, arugula and a couple of beet slices, topped with pickled onions and large crumbles of blue cheese. Sweet pea "hummus," I didn't care for it but my friend really loved it - served w several pita wedges and chopped veggies, presented beautifully. Steamed mussels in what was supposedly a white wine and garlic sauce; I found it rather bland, and I've had plumper mussels in many other places. They tasted fine, but nothing special. In contrast, the Baja fish tacos were fantastic! Unfortunately only 2 to an order, but cooked perfectly and really good. And finally we had the crisp Brussels sprouts and they were delicious. Service was pleasant and efficient. So, overall, a good meal.

Cannot go wrong with any item on the menu! All dishes were cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. Plus, do not skip on dessert! Staff was very accommodating and offered blankets when sitting outside during a chilly evening.

Overall good food and company. The place was packed on a Saturday brunch and we unfortunately couldn't get a table outside with the water but rather got one inside with our reservation. So view was okay but the inside was air conditioned so it felt good. Server was nice and food was decent. I liked the avocado hummus appetizer it was really good. My tacos were ok and my friend who ordered a burger liked it. Their cappuccino was refreshing! Overall a nice afternoon. Note valet is $7 cash only and you pay upfront! Also their womens restroom only has two stalls and so there was a massive line of girls to use the bathroom. They probably should eventually add more stalls or something considering the amount of people who were here on weekend brunch!

Came here for team dinner with my coworkers while we were visiting our clients. Everyone seemed happy with the variety of wines and cocktails ordered. My colleague and I split the seafood tower - all of the seafood was fresh and tasted great. I also had the mushroom risotto, which was creamy and delicious. The server was always checking on us making sure everything was tasting good. Right by the ocean and guaranteed for some gorgeous views.

Came to celebrate my birthday it lived up to all my expectations . The location is easy to find , be mindful Valet is cash only $7 but they can have you Zelle if you are dining in . The ambiance was lovely it's breezy, clean, and open which this beach view is literally beach front meaning you can step from your table to the sand . It's right by the pier so it makes for the best scenery . It's not hot it was shaded and we were seated right away . The food here is pricier but it's worth it . The burrata was a nice twist on a classic with added butternut squash marmalade with spiced pepitas . It was sweet, salty, and light. The drinks are were delicious I went with the Mango on Fire with mango purée , silver tequila , orange, lime cholula and jalapeño salt rim . I'm now a Believer cholula goes into cocktails . Keep in mind they are $17 each . Entrees I ordered the jerk swordfish with maduros, aji corn cream, baby kale and a minor mojo .. this was so good ! They also have a kids menu which is nice . The vibe here is great, service was good , food was wonderful .

Oceans is not just about the amazing beach location but the food and service are excellent too. Had a business dinner with another couple and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Cocktails were great, appetizers were good and main courses and dessert were delicious. We had an assortment of oysters and the fried calamari for our appetizer, which we all enjoyed. For our dinners we tried the Thai pesto mahi and shrimp, the seared scallops, and two of the chefs specials which were a shrimp and scallop udon and another amazing shrimp dish. Dessert was chocolate trinity and bread pudding. Both really good. Ambiance can't be heat since you are right on the ocean. Valet parking is worth it or you can park in the garage right across the street. Our evening was amazing and it's worth the return visits.

High on prices low in flavour Outstanding location literally on the beach. I wish only that the cuisine would match the prices and the wonderful ambience. My PEI mussels in white sauce with cherry tomatoes (3 in total) was bland and watery ($19,00) tMy entree of Fra diavolo shrimps clams and mussels in a red sauce was less than mediocre. Linguine way overcooked and not rinsed after boiling. It lacked to the tangyness that is expected in this dish and the marinara sauce was thick and dry z($39.00). Service was ok but not more than that. Would visit the place to have a drink on the porch enjoy the beach scene but certainly not any food.

Great place, great service, good food and right on the beach. The greatest place around. It's hard to find a place just steps away from the beach.

We went here for my high school daughter's birthday dinner. It is a wonderful location on the beach with a cool ocean breeze. My one negative is that you have to valet and you need to pay $7 for the parking. I think that is a bit selfish since you are going in there for an expensive dinner. I would have just tipped nicely but in any event you have no choice. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and they immediately told the maitre d' and the server that it was her birthday. Brian was excellent and he brought my husband a 'watermelon heat' drink right away. He thought it was delicious. We also ordered burrata and a small house salad, blackened swordfish (delicious) with steam spinach, veal milanese, roasted chicken and lobster roll. It was beyond good! They brought a happy birthday dessert out for her comped! It is such a beautiful place as well - I love the wine rack in the front! It was a very special evening and we thank you for that.

Brian was the most exceptional, courteous and professional waiter I have ever had in my life!!!! The food was exquisite as was the presentation.. Absolutely a must go!

I have been coming to this restaurant for for roughly 15 years with family, friends and clients. Last night 2/13/2024 I had made a reservation via phone call everything went smooth the woman said we will see you soon. We all show up I go up to the hostess there was obviously some sort of typo/mistake made on their end with our reservation which is fine however the manor in which the hostess talked to me in front of my girlfriend and mother was disgusting. I've never had a hostess try to be so condescending and rude before in my life. She proceeded to tell the other guest that we were trying to "sneak in a reservation" when in fact we made one and I even showed her the phone call. She did not try to help in any way shape or form and proceeded to be nasty. We may never be back after this incident btw we will take our money to a place that respects their guest.
