I think it's important to separate the company from the dive sites. Where we dove had low visibility and we mostly saw small creatures and a couple of bigger trigger fish and the likes. But the attention and the kindness of the team made it more than worthwhile. I had had a bad experience in Caño island a few days prior (too much current which made me panic and rise way too fast), and upon my arrival at the dive shop, the guy reassured me. It didn't feel at all like it was to be able to sell anything, really just that I wasn't the first nervous person he's had. He also told me there are often extra DM on training with the groups so I asked if we could maybe have an extra with us. Upon the day of the dive, my DM was actually the lead instructor B AND we had a DM in training. I really couldn't have asked for more to get me back into the water. B was super patient with me and after the initial shock of going back in (for which she held my hand and often made sure I was ok) I was able to let go and enjoy the dive, and the following one as well. I've seen a comment about big groups, but I think we were four groups on the boat, each with a DM (and maybe a trainee DM) and max 4 people fun diving from what I could tell. Super grateful to the team where everyone was kind, some fruits were given during the breaks, a lot of details were given prior to the dives, recaps of signals, etc. I'm not sure I recommend the dive sites as I prefer higher visibility (maybe it was the day, the currents, the time of the year - might just need to ask), but I definitely recommend this dive shop and everyone I've had the chance to meet, especially if you're nervous. They also have a coral preservation program if ever that might interest you! Many people wanting to become DM seem to go there for this aspect. Pura vida!
