From the moment I walked through the doors at Ocha Thai in Renton, I knew I was in for a treat. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm, making me feel welcome right away. The décor strikes a great balance—elegant without being stuffy, cozy without being cramped.
Now, to the food: absolutely outstanding. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The Crispy Garlic Chicken was unforgettable — savory, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. The Pad Thai sparkled with balance (sweet, salty, tangy) and had the ideal texture. Their curries—Panang, Yellow, Green—were richly layered, fragrant, and made with such care. We also tried their Pineapple Fried Rice, which had the perfect mix of sweet fruit, savory rice, and tender protein. For dessert, the Mango Sticky Rice closed out the meal in blissful harmony.
One thing that stood out: consistency. This wasn’t just a one-off good meal — the flavors were confident and polished in every bite. And service was impeccable: attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about menu items (they helped guide spice levels), and always checking to ensure everything was perfect.
If you’re in or around Renton (or willing to make the trip), Ocha Thai should absolutely be on your list. It’s one of those restaurants that makes you want to come back just to try one more thing. Five stars, no hesitation.
