Mediterranean Quick-Serve Spot Cava Is Heading to Rittenhouse Square | Eater Philly

"I can get a sneak peek of Ochatto at its University City location at 37th and Chestnut to try its Chinese dishes, including hot pot; the restaurant is also slated to open on the 1700 block of Chestnut and, along with Paris Baguette, should arrive by the end of the year." - Rachel Vigoda

First things first, the interior is very nice - the music isn't too loud and the temperature is good. The waitress had a bit of a hard time understanding the order and had a very thick accent but was very nice. We were the only people in the restaurant so the food came out quickly and we were served with great care and attention. The value for money is meh, but the two lunch combos were large enough to fill us up. On a separate note, the men's bathroom was very hot and stuffy. Overall I'd recommend visiting this place if you're in the area and want some sushi. The bubble tea was mediocre at best so I recommend against getting that here.

Google
Discovered this gem while visiting Penn searching for a sushi spot to bring the kids. Great ambience for groups, family, even dates. Surprised of the 3.something rating because the food was really very good. Ordered the salmon teriyaki bento box, shrimp tempura roll, California roll, gyoza, calamari and various boba and was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the taste and pace of the food, extremely friendly and accommodating staff, service and even cleanliness of the bathroom and restaurant overall. Would definitely come back here again and highly recommend it. Everything was super fresh and we felt very welcomed and valued as staff was all smiles for me and my 3 kids/teenagers. Thanks for experience!

Google
Outside probably looks like a small place but surprisingly much bigger and nicer with a great ambience inside the restaurant. Food was good and came out quickly. Service was also good. Price was not bad for Japanese restaurant and the selection of food was great.

Google
This place is excellent! Service was great and all the food came out fast. I had the short ribs udon soup. The beef broth is great the short ribs were pretty tender. I also got the 3 for $16.50 sushi. All the sushi was good and could've been a meal by itself. I finished off with a delicious strawberry smoothie!

Google
I came here yesterday. The food was just okay — a bit too salty, maybe the chef was having a rough day. But the waitress totally made up for it! She was super friendly, and honestly, I’d come back just for her service. Plus, she’s absolutely adorable

Google
Genuinely not good, we were craving sushi and went to Ochatto and it was really bad. The sushi quality (yes it’s meant to be well priced) was really poor - the salmon was very gooey and of poor quality (the color was closer to brown/grey than orange). The salmon was definitely rotten, and the service was poor. Very disappointed to see how Ochatto turned out.

I ordered a to-go food in Ochatto (3608 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19104). It was a steak dinner box, and I found there was a cockroach on my steak, as shown in the following images. This incident not only ruined my appetite but also put me and my friends in a state of disgust. It's safe to say that it significantly affected our mood and overall experience. I ordered this several times last week, and I am very frustrated. I saw other customers experince the similar issue, luckly their roach only on the table rather than on the food.

Google
One of the best sushi spots in University City! We stopped in late one night not expecting much, and ordered seaweed salad, takoyaki, and a few rolls. Everything was divine! The takoyaki was hot out of the fryer, super crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside-- my favorite dish. The rolls were also fresh and had lots of flavor w/o soy sauce or wasabi. Service was nice and friendly. Would definitely come back again.

Yelp
Solid place for reasonably priced sushi in University City. Their specials are pretty worth and very filling in my opinion. There's ample seating inside and service was good.
google avatar

Mia M.

Yelp
Decent sushi in U-City. None of the food here is incredible, but it's decently cheap and service is fast. The best thing is the 3 roll combo at dinner - you can pick three different sushi rolls and it comes with miso soup. They also will make rolls that aren't actually on the menu if the ingredients are in various other rolls and you just state the roll you want like it exists, i.e. mango avocado or salmon avocado (the salmon one on the menu is seared but we wanted it not seared). This place gets very loud for dinner Thursday-Sunday because it's one of the few places near Penn's campus that can host large parties, takes reservations, and isn't going to break the bank for a college student. Clubs and frats often have dinners here, so be prepared for a bit of rowdiness if you come during that time!
google avatar

Madison P.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing and quick sushi. Quality is great, size is great for the price, and really quick service. It's no tuna bar but it sure is delicious. I love ordering from here when i'm in a pinch with time or don't want to break the bank. The 3 roll special is the best deal.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time today via uber eats to my work for their lunch-sushi special (2 rolls for $11.95). That price is unbelievable for two sushi rolls- and it even came with a good portion of miso soup. Sushi was fresh and tasty, and appropriate in quality for the price. For $3 I added a fried rice which was delicious; tasted like the type of rice fresh from the hibachi grill (lots of egg in it and some small vegetables). From the time I placed the order to the time I got my food it was 20 minutes- I was shocked and overjoyed! Granted, the place is only a few blocks away from my work but still, I was still happy! Recommend.

Yelp
Ochatto has been the backbone of my college experience. Being so close, my partner and I probably order takeout once a week. Their 3 roll dinner special is our go to. Their rolls are always so fresh and the rice always soft. They also have a great miso soup. I can always rely on Ochatto for a great sushi dinner. I'm going to miss this spot after I graduate.
google avatar

Yelp
Above average fresh sushi. But, portions are small. Not many gluten free options. If you order a meal with choice of miso soup or salad, both contain gluten. It would be great if the restaurant could afford a gluten free option, for those who are allergic to gluten. Rolls in the Any 3 Dinner are 6 slices each, as opposed to 8. It comes with miso soup or salad. I ordered two of the Any 3 Dinner. They could've substituted 1 edamame for two soups. If I opted for the salad, which there's no gluten free dressing option, it would've been $1 more for each. However, they didn't. Shortsighted? There's many rolls to choose from. All refreshing and healthy.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
The food here is good, nothing special though. If you're in university and want a quick sushi bite/sit down, I would go here. For the price, it's alright. It's fairly priced for sushi. What you pay for is what you get! Although, I'm not a fan that if you wanted a salad instead of miso soup it's a dollar extra, don't know of any other places that do that. The inside is nice and clean, a bit dark inside for a casual sushi spot. The service is fast and my waitress was kind.
google avatar

Yelp
Walking into Ochatto, you're hit by a familiar smell of sushi and noodles - a comfort you long for on a summer day. The service was absolutely superb - kindness all around and everything was done in a timely manner. For food, I had to go for the beef brisket noodle soup, a popular menu item on Yelp. Within 15 minutes, my beautiful bowl of yummy goodness was served in an excellent, homemade manner. Of course, I had try the soup. A simple, rich broth filled my tastebuds with joy, with the perfect level of saltiness. My only regret is not getting the Szechuan Spicy Food Base. The bok Choy had a scrumptious crunch and the beef brisket was cooked to perfection; serotonin was sent straight to my brain as I chowed down the meal. The ramen noodles were at the right texture of softness, and with it all put together, I finished everything within minutes. I will say, it's hard to find such magnificent Asian noodles in University City, but Ochatto is a must-go-to when you're in the UPenn area.

Payal P.

Yelp
I was craving some sushi. I ordered from Ochatto. The place was average when it came to sushi. I would say it is a step up from Giant Sashimi. The soup and salad tasted pretty good. Not the best fish but good in a pinch.
google avatar

Kathryn W.

Yelp
The sushi here is good and fulfills my craving, but the sushi rice could be more flavorful and have a better texture. I typically order the 3 sushi roll special, with the eel roll, alaska roll (salmon and avocado), and the spicy tuna roll. This time I also got the yellowtail scallion, which did not have as strong of a scallion flavor and had less fish than the others. I docked a star because the process of picking up orders is very unorganized during COVID. I ordered through an app, and I was notified that my order was ready for pickup. When I got to the restaurant there was a line out the door for people waiting for their orders, even though they all said that their online order already said it was ready for pickup. It took me 15 minutes to pickup an order that was sitting on the table and already done, and the slow pickup system made it more crowded and not ideal for the current situation. Overall the food is decent, but the wait times during COVID for takeout was way too long.

Yelp
I usually come to Ochatto to eat with friends because of the good prices for sushi. However, the fish quality is not the freshest and the rolls are small. The interior is nice, and the restaurant is clean. And the restaurant has a calm ambiance.
google avatar

Tinah H.

Yelp
This place has a huge menu with amazing options, which means that I have to come again. They have great sushi, with a dinner combo option of 3 rolls for $16. They have many specialty rolls as well, at decent prices, I got the Fantastic Roll, which tasted amazing. Overall, the atmosphere was great and the service was pretty speedy.

Yelp
Ordered take out from here via DoorDash and mid meal I was SO pleased that I had to see their Yelp. Surprised by the 3.5 star rating! Read a couple reviews and can say that by the sushi, bento box, and soups that I stand by my 5 star review. Also, read somewhere that sushi wasn't flavorful, I disagree. Sushi rice should be the star, but it was well flavored. And the sushi itself was tasty too. The amount they give you is incredible especially when compared to price. Definitely going to be one of my go to's when craving some sushi. Maybe next time me and my fiancé will even stop by to dine in

Yelp
My friend wanted me to try this place out so we doordashed it and it was definitely worth it! The rolls were fresh and delicious and you can't beat a 3 rolls for dinner deal! I wanted to talk about this baked Philly roll because it is unlike anything I've ever had. It was warm and almost tasted cheesy? but in such a good way. It's a very unique roll and I recommend it! Overall, quick delivery and good food. I will be ordering again!

Michelle S.

Yelp
Terrible service. I went for a lunch and the guy took over an hour to bring out my food. No apologetic and sarcastic. This place is also infested with German cockroaches and rats they keep it dark so you hopefully won't see. Avoid at all costs.

Bumyeol P.

Yelp
I went there recently with a couple of friends, and the food seemed fine, and we were having a good time, until we saw a rat.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times pre-covid and their udon is great! I get the BBQ Eel or Seafood Sautéed Udon and it's savory goodness. Their jasmine bubble tea is also really good and I like their bubble tea reward system; I always carry around the punchcard in my wallet. Their dinner bento box is also really worth it. You get a variety of food including sushi, protein of choice, and tempura for a pretty good price. I've had the filet mignon option a couple times. I haven't really tried many of their sushi, but my friends who have all say it's pretty good!
google avatar

Yelp
Ochatto is a decent place for sushi, noodles, and bento boxes. I've never ordered the noodles personally but I've gotten the other two countless times (and tasted my friends' noodles). The sushi dinner combo ($14 for 3 rolls) is actually a decent deal, since some of their rolls are fancier than the average California or Salmon roll. For lunch, I'd suggest the bento box, since there's actually a good amount of food (the large plate makes it seem a bit smaller than it is) for like $10-11. The chicken katsu and shrimp tempura have never disappointed me and it's exactly what I'd expect from a decent Japanese spot. I think it's a decent restaurant - it doesn't stand out as amazing, but it's pretty good.
google avatar

Nina Z.

Yelp
Their lunch menu is delicious and very reasonably priced. We ordered a Chicken Terriyaki Bento box that came with shrimp and vegetable tempura, a California roll, veggies, rice and a salad. We also ordered two Maki Lunch special. The Maki special allows you to pick two Maki rolls and their list to choose from is substantial and far beyond basic. We ordered a peppered tuna avocado roll, spicy crab with avocado roll, seared tuna roll and the spicy crab cream cheese roll. The Maki special also comes with miso soup or a salad. We got one of each. Every single thing we ordered was delicious and fresh. I highly recommend and will definitely return!

Yelp
Convenient place for sushi and BYO for large groups in UCity! Whoever answered the phone when I requested a BYO reservation for ~20 people was so sweet and kind. They don't make you put down money beforehand, but they do suggest you spend at least $15/person, which is completely understandable. My favorite item here was the noodle soups, as many others have mentioned, but unfortunately the chef that specialized in it left, so I would no longer recommend getting any of the noodle soups - it comes as items you'd find in a stir fry (peppers, snow peas, onions, napa cabbage, etc) with noodles in a soup broth, nothing like it used to be sadly. However, they do have a dinner deal for 3 rolls + miso soup for $15.50 with many different basic rolls to choose from. They also have special roll deals and a wide selection of items to choose from even if you don't like sushi! Sushi tastes like a typical American sushi restaurant, though definitely better than some other places that I've been. Giving it 5 stars mostly for the BYO experience and in memory of the noodle soup.
google avatar

Kaitlyn T.

Yelp
I've ordered from Ubereats a few times in the past 2-3 months and I've enjoyed my food every single time. I was really surprised to see sushi rolls with scallop since I haven't seen that anywhere else. I always get the 3 roll dinner along with miso soup (which is only $2!). My favorite roll as got to be the scallop tempura roll. I love the texture of the scallop paired with the Japanese Mayo on top. I got the takoyaki appetizer once and it was about a 7/10. I would love more sauce on top of it. I'm hoping to try the other menu items during dine-in in the future!

Yelp
I came here for a great experience with my girls after an even at U Penn. Drinks Great. Food Good. Daughter drops phone. Picks it up and IT IS STUCK TO A MOUSE TRAP!!!! A DAMN MOUSE TRAP. To the person who has a mouse dropping in her salad I believe you. We got no sorry. No discount. Nothing. I left the waitress her 18 percent tip. But I WILL NOT Come to this establishment again. Period. We had noddles stir fry with spicy shrimp.
google avatar

Yelp
The quality of this place keeps on going downhill. First it was the service taking a dip, then the food, and now the ambiance. Whenever I walk into the restaurant, it smells. It's a mixture of fish and chemicals. The smell gets worse as you walk deeper into the restaurant. It really makes we question the freshness of the sushi and fish they have displayed at the counter. I always get the BBQ rib noodle soup and I swear each time there's less and less meat. This time, I only had 3 small pieces of meat. 1 bowl is $10, I expect there is be more meat in this!! It's very disappointing. I will not be back for dinner nor their lunch specials. There are so many more places and options in University City for soupy noodles in the similar price range.
google avatar

Angel C.

Yelp
I've been to Ochatto many times pre-COVID. I have never really had any big problems coming here. My go-to order is kani salad, duck roll, and beef noodle soup. They actually have my favorite kani salad around, and the other dishes are great too! No complaints. The staff has also always been friendly to me. The reason I give it 4 stars is because it's a little overpriced. For example, the portion for the duck rolls is super tiny but it's $8. Another reason is that my friend used to work here as a sushi chef and he warned me to never eat the sushi here. Unsettling, but since I don't order any raw fish from here and since my food has always been good, his warning did not scare me. For everyone else, BEWARE.
google avatar

Isabella S.

Yelp
It's pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary compared to other offerings in Philly. I typically get their three sushi roll dinner, which I enjoy. Gluten free menu information isn't readily available online, but the staff can help. Typically the raw fish sushi options are safe bets.

Alex Y.

Yelp
Food was okay. Very rude service. took a long time for someone to get to the desk and very aggressive tone. ambiance just looked very dark.
google avatar

Shereen C.

Yelp
I tried Ochatto for lunch & had a sushi/sashimi combo. Sushi combo was mediocre. Fish was okay but not super fresh. One piece of sashimi was still partially frozen. Roll was a boring avocado & cucumber roll. I cannot recommend Ochatto for sushi. They have other foods on the menu & it may be that their sushi is particularly bad, so I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 star on this review.
google avatar

Maurine S.

Yelp
I guess as a Bay Area native maybe I have higher expectations. We came for dinner ordered the sushi sashimi combo and the 3 rolls for $12. I thought this place was pretty reasonable. But alas, it was disappointing. The sashimi was mediocre, but rice for all the rolls and nigiri was hard which totally ruined the sushi. I kept eating it and making faces until I realized that if i ate it without the rice it was bearable. The staff is nice, but inconsistent. We sat down and they came back around 4 times to ask if we were ready to order. Once all our food came we had to keep waving at them to get more tea and the place was empty! Maybe they were having an off day but sorry, won't be coming back when I'm in town again.
google avatar

Gloria E.

Yelp
Pretty good lunch special for 10 bucks if you want something filling and simple! The bento boxes also seem like a good deal. While the fish isn't completely fresh tasting, the texture was definitely good and they give a pretty good amount in each roll, and the miso soup was a good way to fill up at the end. Walking in, they have a $14 sushi special on the board, so might be worth it to eat in instead of taking out!
google avatar

Nicole W.

Yelp
I had the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup and overall the flavor was pretty good. WARNING: If you don't like cilantro tell them, bc they put a lot in. The noodles were decent, but nothing special. I also got the mango milk bubble tea and no joke, it takes like Trident fruit gum (the Tropical Twist one), but not in a good way. The layout of the place is pretty good and wait time for a group of 8 was about 25-35 min. Music was not too loud, good for talking, would recommend removing your gum though because chewing gum and talking is not cute.
google avatar

Peggy S.

Yelp
Simple, quick, no frills lunch options. I may be biased (or spoiled) about my sushi, but I have yet to find a sushi place in Philly that wows. The atmosphere is good. I love the decorating though the sound really carries in there. They have a to-go counter right when you walk in. I came in around 1:30 so I ordered from the lunch menu. I opted for the $9 two sushi roll deal, and a salad (miso soup was the other option). I chose the white tuna and avocado roll and the oshinko (pickled radish, though the menu doesn't tell you that) roll. In most sushi places I go to I like to order white tuna rolls and a vegetable roll. The salad came out very fast. The ginger dressing was great. The rolls came out fast too, but the taste was very basic. The oshinko and white tuna didn't taste like others I've had before. The waiter brought the check before I was ready because I wanted to order a bubble tea before going. He couldn't explain the size difference between the small and large so I went with the small. It tasted good but had a lot of boboa in it! I didn't finish it. Next time: I'll try something more substantial from the main menu.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm from Jersey and came here for my birthday dinner and I was supposed to go to a different restaurant but I ended up coming here and I was so in love! I ordered the Sushi dinner which filled me up! The salmon was so buttery and melted in my mouth. I'm not a fan of Tuna but the Tuna that was on my plate tasted very good! My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Teriyaki which I tried and was also very yummy! I unfortunately live in North Jersey so I won't be able to come here as often as I wish I could but the next time I got to Philly, I will most definitely go here again! Also, the service was incredible and the staff is incredibly nice!
google avatar

Patrick D.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and left satisfied. I've gotten milk tea here before which has been pretty consistently ok, nothing special but nice to have around campus if you can't go to Chinatown. For dinner I ordered the shaved noodle soup with duck; the bowl was a big and filling with tons of well cooked noodles. The broth had a nice, deep color but needed a bit more salt or seasoning. The duck tasted great but there could've been more of it considering how many noodles there were. The food is alright and prices are fair at $9 a bowl (the other soups are all around that price depending on what meat you want). It's a nice place to have around if you're in the mood for some quick soup. I saw a bunch of customers enjoying sushi rolls and sashimi, I might come back to try that out.
google avatar

Katie A.

Yelp
I've ordered food to go here 3 or 4 times hoping for a change in the service but the female staff at the desk is still just as rude as the first time I went. She will make you feel stupid if you ask any questions about the menu and is extremely short with her responses. Not sure how this restaurant has managed to get such high reviews with the most unfriendly staff at the front desk. I will not be back.
google avatar

Jessica Y.

Yelp
Ochatto has recently become my go-to lunch spot when I want a quick sit-down lunch with my friends in between classes. There's typically no wait if you arrive before 12:30 pm on a weekday. I am a fan of the noodle soups (sliced beef is my favorite ~$9) and there's never more than a 10 minute wait for the food to arrive at the table. Their boba tea is not the best and is below average in both taste and quality. They will also give you approximately 10 bobas per cup (stingy!). If you ask them to adjust the sweetness or ice levels, confusion ensues.
google avatar

Anna H.

Yelp
The starter salad and miso was not that nice. The Gyoza and the Teriyaki Chicken on rice was good. Thai iced tea was average.
google avatar

Spen T.

Yelp
Beef noodle soup is solid here. Quick service. Good pricing. Flavorful broth. Comes with some veg. Friend had the roasted duck which also was very solid. Cravings satisfied.

Usie H.

Yelp
not black people friendly, the one guy that speaks English was the rudest person to me
google avatar

Bradford P.

Yelp
The food really was not too fresh today. Also the salmon had this black stuff attached to it which was really weird and we decided not to eat it

Emelia Y.

Yelp
Fan of the gyoza, not so much the chicken teriyaki (it wasn't crispy and saucy like I prefer, I will say there were lots of yummy veggies though). The rolls were a lot smaller than I expected. Take-out certainly isn't the same experience as dining in, which is mostly why I resorted to three stars. Nonetheless it looked clean and friendly. They also serve boba tea! Not much else to say about Ochatto!
google avatar

Lizzie S.

Yelp
The bubbles weren't fully cooked, so the consistency was off :'( The service wasn't very friendly and one of my friends' orders was messed up. My friend saw the table next to us get sashimi and it looked frozen. It's a good location on Penn's campus so I will come back when I'm in the area, but it's nothing special.

Ruby C.

Yelp
Food was good, service was very bad and they try to RIP YOU OFF!! MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE YOU PAY!! They said gratuity is automatically added when it's 4+ people, Not 18% but it's 25.6%, (And I can see why service was very bad because they charged you gratuity of 25.6% anyway, and they do not care if it was bad). And on top of that, if you don't look at the bill closely, they have gratuity suggestion on the bottom too, that's on top of the 25.6% gratuity they charged already!!! We were there for late afternoon snack around 2 o'clock, 5 adults and 1 baby. The restaurant was not very busy, but the server was just slow and never really come check on us, we have to remind him for our drinks when he forgets. (I don't have high standard on service and gives average 20-25% tip, because I was a server before). I don't being slow or forget things, but when they start lying, it's just NOT COOL. I wanted to order one of the rolls, and the server told me that one will take 30 minutes, I did not want to wait, so I said "It's OK, change to XXX". And then the roll came, and I told him "because you said it will take 30 minutes, so I asked you to change." He said he repeated my order after, and I said OK. Which, that was not true... He did not repeat our order at all. So that was the first lie, and with his service I just felt like I need to take a look at the bill closely... then I found out the gratuity 25.6% charged and they suggest you tip them another 18%, 20% or 22%. I talked to our server about it, and he just said it's all from the computer system, must be the system got error, and try to lower his voice and make us pay and go soon. (I'm sure they don't want other customers to hear this, or they will watch the bill!!) I think this is my worst restaurant experience, is this a fraud seriously? I wish all the extra that people have been paid would have gone for donations for charity instead of these greedy businessmen.

Yelp
one of the best sushi spots in Philly. the california roll, the avocado roll, and the udon noodles are perfect. great miso soup and salad. the taro milk tea is so good. great for dine in and takeout. ambience is good for a nice sit down dinner as well.
google avatar

Seth W.

Yelp
The sign said hand drawn noodles..impressive. The food was not. We had two dishes and both were disappointing. Shumai - the larger than a golf ball sized balls might have had a shrimp filling but it was so pureed to death that you couldn't determine if there was a filing or if you were simply eating a doughy ball of noodle. Shrimp Udon - served as soup (vs pan sauteed) - there were 6 shrimp, all over cooked and rubbery, 3 had tails on, 3 had tails off - doesn't matter but not consistent. The noodles were fine but the overall soup had no flavor.

E M.

Yelp
I'm particular about the freshness of sushi or fish in general. "Spicy" or mashed sushi makes me nervous because I can't tell freshness. I'm going to need more than "that's how it is" when something looks old. Weeding out the bad international food places is challenging - some you get what you get (this place) ; others explain and accommodate needs. Maybe a fun experience for students but I'll pass. Try not skimming on ginger, charge extra. Not everyone likes to drown sushi in soy sauce.

Yelp
Bummer dude. On a stroll through University City, I made the impromptu choice to stop into Ochatto when I read their lunch special Bento box. For $10 and some change, I got a side of miso soup, 3 pieces of the house Cali roll, tempura shrimp, veg, and chicken, and brown rice. It was a lot of food for a cheap price - win! However, the food itself was dismal and disappointing. The "tempura veg" was a thin slice of sweet potato in a thick, greasy coating. The tempura chicken, while cooked thoroughly, was cold like it had been sitting out for hours, as was the brown rice. The house Cali roll was bizarre, unlike any California roll I've ever had. It was like the chefs just grabbed whatever was lying around and stuffed a piece of shrimp in with it. It had pickled onion and some other undetermined neon vegetable. It was, in a word, yucky. The miso soup was the only thing I mildly enjoyed, but miso is miso. I doubt I'd give this place another chance. There are many other options out there.

Yelp
Nope! Just a review for bubble tea. Won't come here again when there are other options for bubbles in university city. Requested a bubble tea; thought the guy entering my order was going to make it but instead a staff member who entered the restaurant after me (either coming into her shift or coming back from break) rushes in, takes off her winter coat, shoves it into a cubby, and immediately starts making the drink without washing her hands. Nope! I watched her make it and she grabs the plastic shaker with her fingers touching the inside of the container. Nope! That being said; I tried the tea, so that I can review the flavor (and train to control my germaphobia). The drink tastes fine and normal but bubbles were undercooked and chalky in the middle. Not worth training my immune system over.

Yelp
This place has always been my top choices for lunch while I was studying in school. Great quality of food and service combined. Pros: - Food is always reasonably priced and quality never failed to satisfy - Great menu with selections from sushi to Chinese noodle soup, ASIAN FUSION heck yeah - Spacious restaurants with exotic bamboo decors - Located right next to a frozen yogurt place, dessert! check! Cons: - The light might be a bit too dimmed - Boba isn't that great to be honest, keep trying
