This was some of the best street food I’ve come across in NYC, from this restaurant’s food truck stand outside of the World Trade Center. The okonomiyaki tastes just like it does in Japan, and served in the same style - even with dancing fish flakes on top! Highly recommended for authentic Japanese food! Friend trying it for the first time says: ‘very good medley of flavors, especially the pickled ginger on top’.

Have tried both their Okonomiyaki and Modern-Yaki at different Japanfest events, and the food is just amazing. Highly recommend the modern-yaki in particular, the egg + noodles combo is SO worth it. Also wanted to shout out the staff at the stand for being some of the kindest people I've met, taking the time to help my family when we needed it, even when they absolutely didn't have to. You guys are amazing :)

I had the classic Okonomiyaki. It was delicious. I’ve made my own a few times before and was delighted to have the chance to try one made from a restaurant. It was light and full of cabbage and the flavors were great. I bought this at smorgasbord in Prospect park and it only took a few minutes to come out.

Only genuine Hiroshima style I could find in the states! Tasty too!

Had their modern yaki vegetable at the Williamsburg Smorgasbord and loved it. Matcha iced tea was solid too

I got Okonomiyaki at the Japan fes at 103rd. Disappointing. They charged $15 for essentially cabbage. Hardly any egg batter.

Absolutely ridiculous. You order through the machine and wait for your name to be called. There were five people in front of me and all of them were complaining about how long their order was taking. It’s called take-out, and you have people waiting 30minutes for an order. It had been 20minutes since I placed my order and I asked the worker how much longer I had to wait for my order. She asked for my receipt, went to the back and came back to tell me that they didn’t “see” my order. Every person before me left this place complaining. Instead of giving out free food using five employees how about paying attention to your customers who are paying for your food. I asked how much longer I had to wait and she said about ten minutes so I canceled my order. Not worth the trip to Brooklyn.
