Coffee was DELICIOUS! We had the iced batch brew and iced chemex and we both enjoyed. The egg and cheese sandwiches at $7 each were the worst we ever had and neither could finish. Appeared microwaved with no taste whatsoever. If we go back we will stick with the pastries which looked delicious.

Yelp
Definitely a classic restaurant my family and I frequent . Two words: JALAPEÑO HUSHPUPPIES Two words: CHARGRILLED OYSTERS Three words: FRIED SEAFOOD BASKETS One word: COMFORT If you're in the mood for affordable seafood, look no further. Nice atmosphere & Amazing service. Most importantly good food!! You can't go wrong!

Yelp
Came today based off of reviews I got from some friends. Customer service was really good my server was nice and attentive. I loved all the tvs were already on sports as I was watching the lacrosse championship (go Irish!) The restaurant is spacious and there's patio space upstairs and tables on the sidewalk. I ordered a sweet tea ($3.75) and started with conch fritters market price of $18.50 they were decent and extremely hot fresh out the grease bc I burned my mouth lol. The conch was there bc I could see it but it was more breading than meat. Also ordered the oyster Rockefeller ($25.50) they were good and meaty but flavor wise I should've ordered the garlic ones bc it's lacking season. For my entree I got the fried catfish platter with a side of turnips and corn ($21) sadly like my starters it lacked season and when my husband asked how my food was I could only describe it as bland. I usually don't use hot sauce but I had to use it today. The corn was good and sweet though. I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately compared to the reviews I gathered from some people I know, it just wasn't the hype I was expecting. 3 stars bc it does seem to be a good place to come for drinks and to watch a game and the customer service we received was good.

Yelp
Meh. Nothing special about this place. The salmon I ordered was fine, not dry, but also not incredibly juicy and flavorful. My salad was boring but that's mainly my fault because I asked for no dressing. My husband got the crab cakes and he said they were average... He did have a bite of my kid's cheeseburger and he said that was good. This place got the job done but it won't be a place I dream about and crave in the future.

Yelp
Ambiance was cool. Packed place. We were seated immediately on a Saturday night. Waitress was okay and attentive for the most part. Now for the cons....the food sucked. I've been here many, many times and it's been great. You have fallen off completely. This food was a bit under cooked...Fish, shrimp, calamari...and the batter fell off. I hate that. It came out looking good but a different story when you dive in. The fries...greasy and soggy. Please stop placing greasy fried food on top of fries. Sense wise...it makes none. Logically, think about it!? The sodas were flat. Yuck. Had to send those back. Paying at the table using the bar code...cool, easy. But we opted out and paid directly to her after you force a percentage of tip on the ticket meaning you are unable to change it whether it's more or less. I probably won't be back.

Yelp
Six Feet Under never disappoints! Great food, service was Outstanding! Thanks Spring James greeted us at the door, very nice. I recommend checking this spot out for good seafood! Does not disappoint!

Yelp
This place never disappoints. You can smell the deliciousness from the road. My husband and I came on Mother's Day and immediately were able to be sat down stairs or first come at the upstairs bar. We decided on the upstairs bar. Drinks were delicious. Food was delivered fast, hot, and tasty as always!

Yelp
My friend and I stopped in for lunch after visiting the Oakland Cemetery across the street. We ordered the fish & chips with hush puppies and a blackened fish sandwich with fresh made chips. The fish & chips only came with 2 smaller pieces of fish, which was disappointing & the sandwich was soggy and fell apart. The chips were delicious though, and the drinks were strong. Our waitress was very friendly, and offered suggestions while we were deciding what to order. Overall, everything was just okay and I probably wouldn't return.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate my son receiving all A's his first semester in college. It's been a while since I been here and I forgot how good this place was. I had a tequila lemon drop to start. Calamari as our appetizer. The star was the mussels in green curry. I had not expected this to look like it did and was a little skeptical about the pairing. It blew my mind! It was a special so I am not sure how long it will be there. We got there about 11:30 so we got in before the rush and were seated right away. Our waitress took her time , explained things and gave recommendations. I needed a different type of seafood place and it did not disappoint.

Yelp
Solid seafood spot! Great location, food and service. We sat outside on the roof which was great. Casual vibes and larger party friendly. We started with the steak salad which was hearty but not too filling before our mains. I really loved the fried okra with the baked fish plate. The fish is baked in parchment paper which keeps it moist. My Bf didn't love the steamer but that was bc he's used to eating fried and wanted something healthier. Which is the perf option if your avoiding fried foods. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
We ate here after a morning tour of Oakland cemetery. Been here many times. This is the first time for lunch. I love the atmosphere and retro beer decorations here! I had the blackened grouper sandwich with a side of the roasted corn. This is a great sandwich with lots of flavor and the jalapeño tartar sauce was fantastic. The corn was fine, but a big miss as an actual side item. Service wasn't overly friendly, and it was also rather slow

Janet W.

Yelp
My husband and I were seated immediately on a Saturday at 6 pm. The restaurant was busy and it was a loud crowd. Despite this, I could hear my husband at our booth table overlooking Oakland cemetery. We shared the buffalo oysters as appetizers which I liked, and my husband ordered the shrimp boil. I ordered the fried grouper sandwich and got the fried okra as a side. The foot portions were filling and I liked the various dips that came with they oysters and fried okra. If you like fried seafood, this is your place!

Jarsmon P.

Yelp
In my opinion, this place isn't the same (food quality) how it once was a few years back. FOOD: OVER ALL; 6/10 my niece had what was supposed to be a shrimp boil(which was $43 btw) it was TERRIBLE! no seasoning, the boil, no nothing! just shrimp with cocktail sauce, corn, and sausage. AGAIN NO SEASONING AT ALL. I had the Rockefeller oysters 6/10 lacking flavor as well and too cheesy and drowned out the little flavor that was there. I also had the conch fritter 8/10. DRINKS: Anna was the best! she got me good and right with the martinis and lemon drops Definitely ask for her when you go! AESTHETICS: we sat on the rooftop and it was pretty cool, and also a prefect fall evening to sit outside. I won't be returning back for the food, but I would return for a few cocktails and girls talk. Thats it.

Joy M.

Yelp
Service is fine. I purchased a seafood quesadilla the filling was like mush. I've been here I know 4 times, 1st time I said won't be back. I must believe in myself. All of the food is below average. Buy a flight to New Orleans and eat for the day or more if you like.

Janell H.

Yelp
Came here for a coworkers birthday during the day on a Tues. Parking was bananas. Once inside we were seated immediately; im not sure if we had reservations though. The server was a pleasant young lady; i didnt get her name. Our order was taken & drinks came out shortly as did our food. I ordered the catfish basket as previous reviews made me nervous to even eat here so I tried to keep it simple. The catfish was fried crispy just the way i like it. My only issue was there was no seasoning. Once we were done w our food one of my coworkers noticed old bay was on the table so I assume that was suppose to be used to season the fish. I may come again if in the area but its not something Id be laying around thinkin dang I have a taste for some SFO. Sorry I didn't take photos.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and I must say that this restaurant has immensely improved from the past years that I've dined here. We went here for a quick drink and snack, so we didn't get seafood (what they're known for). Just got some beers, a cup of soup, Buffalo bites and fried zucchini. Service here is a hit or miss, though our server this time around checked up on us a few times. We asked her to refill our drinks once and she did do it right away. I ordered a cup of chicken tortilla soup and it was a nice serving filled with chicken, rice and topped with avocado and tortilla chips with hush puppies. I didn't care so much for the hush puppies and didn't eat them. The Buffalo bites were nice sized pieces and cooked nicely, tossed in tons of Buffalo sauce. Fried zucchini here is always my favorite, I love the breading they use and I'm pretty certain it's the same breading they use for the fried basket items. There were quite a few people waiting for tables to become available by the time we left. Are there better seafood restaurants in the city? Yes. But if you're looking for a casual/dive-y ambiance, then this is your spot.

Justina M.

Yelp
I ordered the crab legs and the fish and ships. The fish and chips were absolutely terrible. No seasoning on the fries on the fish, not even in the sauce. Also, we were charged a 20% service fee and our ticket was under $100. I truly feel cheated by my experience and will never come back.

Yelp
I love a great seafood-fish joint and this place fit the bill for me. We showed up with 10 hungry folks fresh from watching the Atlanta Falcons give the Chicago Bears another whoopin' (as they say in the South), from the beautiful Mercedes Benz Stadium. Chicago can only dream of such a stadium. But I digress. Here they have a great menu full of steamed shell fish, shrimp, gumbo, salads, seafood platters, baskets and a whole lot more. I love the spiced cornmeal crust and the jalapeño tartar sauce. Great service, fairly priced and free parking behind the restaurant. Wish they were in my neck of the woods

Yelp
Six Feet Under is a remarkable seafood restaurant that's perfect for a delightful date night, gathering with friends and family, or even hosting work lunches - I noticed quite a few business groups during my visit. Keep in mind that parking can be a bit of a challenge due to the lot filling up quickly, so planning ahead is wise. The ambiance at Six Feet Under is absolutely captivating, adorned with an array of fishing and ocean-themed decor that resonates with the spirit of both the sea and Atlanta. Stepping inside, you're immediately immersed in the intended vibe of the restaurant. During my lunchtime visit, the place was bustling, but I was promptly seated upon arrival. My server was incredibly kind and attentive, making several visits to ensure my experience was exceptional from beginning to end - a touch that didn't go unnoticed. For my entrée, I indulged in the Combo Basket ($21.50), a delightful assortment of Calamari Jalapeños, Oysters, Shrimp, and Chicken Strips (all fried). Choosing three (shrimp, chicken & calamari) of these delectable options filled my basket, which also came with crispy fries and a handful of delicious hush puppies. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can enhance your meal further by adding Scallops ($4 extra) or Catfish ($5.50 extra), limited to two and one respectively. The speed at which my meal arrived was astonishing; it hardly took any time at all, and the freshness was apparent with every bite. From the succulent shrimp to the tender chicken, every component of the meal was fried to perfection and seasoned impeccably. Even the fries retained that delectable crunch. The flavors were a delightful dance on the taste buds, and I couldn't help but appreciate the attention to detail in each bite. To accompany my meal, I chose a glass of sweet lemonade that was an absolute masterpiece - not too sugary, striking the perfect balance between tart and sweet. Six Feet Under is undeniably a seafood haven that excels in every aspect. From its captivating decor to its attentive service, and most importantly, its exquisite cuisine, this restaurant has truly carved its place as a seafood lover's paradise. Whether you're seeking a memorable outing with a loved one or a casual gathering with friends, Six Feet Under is an experience worth savoring

Yelp
Food wise this place is not that great, I ordered the pick 3 the catfish batter was falling off and not all the way cooked, the shrimp barely had batter as well. Honestly the best thing was the sweet tea which was very good. The only reason we got sweet tea cause the 2 sodas were super flat. Nah I won't be back it was a waist of money.

Jade C.

Yelp
This was my first visit to Six Feet Under, and I couldn't help but chuckle at the irony of its location right in front of a graveyard! In all seriousness, the food was quite enjoyable. I particularly loved the flavors, and their homemade lemonade is absolutely delicious! The service was exceptionally friendly, and I'll certainly be returning in the future.

Kathleen K.

Yelp
Great menu! So many different options. Food has been cooked perfectly. ambiance can be a little loud especially if there is a game on TV. Will be back to try all the dishes!

Joshua E.

Yelp
Sophia, was wonderful thank you for the great service. She was always smiling. And did a good job recommending food choices. Everything was good. Except this corn salad. Horrible. Lol

Sebastian M.

Yelp
First time eating here. Food was absolutely delicious. The catfish basket came with chips but I subbed for fries and added the turnip greens. Seasoned well, tasted good. They also brought around a small sample of their newest item, shrimp & scallion soup. Service was nice, country bar vibes. They are cashless so be ready to pay via car or mobile pay. I had trouble paying through their QR code, that's the only reason I gave 4 stars.

Jeff A.

Yelp
Great meal of scallop and grits, blackened salmon, oysters and rat toes. Great service

George C.

Yelp
Came here and, upon looking at the menu, noticed almost all their menu consisting of fried food. Okay, no big deal as the place had "pub" in its name, but then again, the prices were pretty high for a pub. The table ordered Conch Fritters (I didn't eat this), Fried Zucchini Fries (ate this), two orders of hush puppies (ate this), fried chicken sandwich (my entre), (fried onion rings (my side which I took home since I didn't eat there) and the other two individuals in my party ordered their food. Here's where the issue lies.. The next day, one of the persons in my party texted me telling me that their stomach was on some funny business. Her entree was the fried cod sandwich (which wasn't good due to the tiny size of the pieces, no flavor). Needless to say, the bathroom at her job was put to the test the next morning. Yesterday, I decided to heat up my onion rings that I took home in my air fryer and ate them with that sauce they have at the pub (forget the name). I fell asleep early and woke up to my stomach gurgling. Let's just say it felt like a bunch of bad ass toddlers doing gymnastics in my stomach. Spent the whole night in the bathroom, pleading to the most high for him to take me out of my misery. Sorry to be graphic, but there's got to be a connection. I reached out to the third person, who also said their stomach was giving them some issues but not to the extent that mines and the other person were. I will not be coming back to this place. On a positive note, the waitress was great. One last part I realized after the fact that they add 20% on the bill on top of the $20 tip I left the waitress. So total for the tab was almost $160. There are plenty of places in ATL to spend that money on and get great food.

Riquel J.

Yelp
The food was wonderful, their service was amazing!! The bartender GiGi was so accommodating. She made my drink so goodt!! I would def come back!

Chelsea G.

Yelp
My perspective on pub food, going in, is always negative. It's like going to a dive bar versus a cocktail bar, you feel? Typically low quality ingredients; clog -your-arteries greasy a'f; just throw-it-on-a-plate-and-go typa ugly; etc. So my bar of expectation was rather low when my friends wanted to go here. I stood rather impressed with the menu and the resulting presentation of the dishes. Things you should know: I. PARKING Six Feet Under shares a private parking lot with Little Tart Bakeshop. The available spaces are BEHIND the building. But wait, hold up, they fill up and stay filled up. You're lucky if you find a spot. But, breathe, I got chu with an alternative. Scale the lot out first.. by then you'll see an obvious apartment complex adjacent to the restaurant. Go ahead and find you a parallel parking spot there if you didn't find a space. OR along Woodward Ave SE. I've done both of these choices various times so you won't get towed. Guaranteed. II. QUALITY I got the gumbo soup. Me and my friends were very happy with the quality and presentation. It's better than your average bar food. III. SERVICE Our waiter was chill. He gave us all the details and answered our picky questions (haha sorry, waiter). No crazy wait periods for drinks or checks. He even offered us water cups to go. IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of available seats for a Friday lunch hour

Michelle E.

Yelp
Loads of fun and great food. We went to Six Feet Under after the graveyard tour on the Saturday before Halloween. The food was great and the service was great even though the place was very busy due to the holiday. Would definitely return.

Tyron H.

Yelp
Amazing customer service, good quality food and delicious craft cocktails. Price was affordable.

Renee P.

Yelp
Stopped in for an early dinner sat at the bar since there was a wait. I ended up getting The fried chicken salad which was delicious. The salad itself seemed to be lettuce and avocado with little else but the chicken was moist and well seasoned. I also got a Texas margarita that was delish and had a kick, kudos to the ladies at the bar their service was great. I would definitely return

Donna G.

Yelp
Food was great. I had the fish & grits's. Delicious! I went with a large group and we all had fun- will definitely go back.

Skip G.

Yelp
It's been awhile but we went yesterday. I got the fried Grouper sandwich and it was fantastic. It will be my go to from now on. The homemade chips are great especially with blue cheese. Only complaint is the prices are way too high now. Will probably not return soon.

Tani S.

Yelp
My fried catfish was underdone and mushy, they replaced it with overcooked fried shrimp (yuck). My server (Spring) then went missing for like 20-30 minutes so I had to go up to the bar and get more drinks. The hush puppies used to be so good and full of flavor, they were flavorless and dry. Me and my bf had some great memories of this place in the past but I don't think we'll be going back. The two stars are for the amount of booze in our cocktails...they were nasty but they were strong.

Danielle P.

Yelp
Food: 3 Customer Service: 3 Ambience: 0 Location: 3 Parking: 2 Cleanliness: 4 Reservations: N/A This seafood restaurant is situated in the heart of Atlanta, but we truly felt like they were more like a pub/brewery with fried food on their menu. There is some street parking nearby, but I didn't see that this location had a business parking lot for their customers. We decided to seat in the bar area when we arrived, because there was a wait in the restaurant seating area. But once we realized that the bartender wasn't enforcing the COVID-19 pandemic precautions of 6 feet between guests...we decided to move to a table. The menu offers a wide variety of pub drinks and many fried food platters. My spouse and I decided to get their conch fritters ($13), 2 drinks ($16), and 2 fried catfish baskets ($16). We enjoyed the vibe, but we were overwhelmed that we spent $70 for lunch dining experience. Much of this is because they have a policy that they add 20% to every bill over $50 (per table). Which we knew prior too and were willing to accept if the quality and quantity was good. Our overall experience after visiting this business, was disappointment and we're positive that we will not be back for a returning visit.

Shawna J.

Yelp
Great food and drinks! Kinda dark inside and the hightop table seats are not for those with a lot of junk in the trunk! lol! But it was a good energy in the restaurant. We had a great time and our servers were amazing!

Gina F.

Yelp
I love this place! It's a pub, so if that's the atmosphere you are looking for, this is the right place! Came in on a Saturday early afternoon after a training at work. Came and had a seat at the bar and luckily we arrived just before it got too busy. Delta was the bartender and she is absolutely awesome! If ever you have never had a proper bar experience, come to Six Feet Under and sit at the bar and ask for Delta. She smiles is very personable, has great good and drink recommendations, very attentive, funny and engages with all her guests at the bar! We had the Bloody Mary bar which seemed popular on a Saturday and added some blue cheese stuffed olives! I took Delta's recommendation of what Bloody Mary mix to use and for my taste, she was right on point! Ordered some rat toes and onion rings as an appetizer! Rat toes is a interesting name, but boy are they tasty and spicy! I had a salad with shrimp and the food came out quick and was very satisfying. I will be back again for sure!

MsToya H.

Yelp
Our server was extra nice, but my food was underwhelming. I ordered the gumbo, and the presentation was lovely, but it lacked any seasoning whatsoever. The last time I checked, gumbo is supposed to be filling and flavorful. But, this was bland and only had spicy heat with white rice and green onions on top. And the broth looked like mop water Such a letdown, but the other food seemed to have been enjoyed. I'm not sure if I'll be back for the food.

Larissa E.

Yelp
Used to come here often. The service has been awful the last two times. Bluepoint used to be the best oysters on the menu. For $3.25 each. They were terribly small. Was not even acknowledged at the bar when I was by myself for over 20 minutes yet people who came in after me and sat at the bar were served before I even got my drink order. Such rude service never going there again. What a bummer. It's just not what it used to be and it's completely overpriced.

Ryan G.

Yelp
The food was awesome!! We shared fried shrimp, shrimp tacos, and calamari tacos for the table and loved all of it!!! Service was great too! We will be back !!!!!

Paul S.

Yelp
spinach Salad was good. Ask for extra dressing though. Fried oysters were good but a little spicey. Biggest issue was the very very very long wait after ordering. Expect to spend two hours for dinner. Ambiance was too rough for me.

L P.

Yelp
Love this place. The food is always good, the atmosphere is lively and the service is excellent. Don't forget to try the bread pudding for dessert it is the best!!

Margaret B.

Yelp
I went around 2pm on a Saturday. It was no line and no wait...and easy breezy good time. It was my birthday and I made it known! I was treated with all kinds of love! It's a casual vibe with solid food! I had the oysters that were great! All of the food was good. The service was impeccable! Courtney was our waitress and I'll definitely look out for her when I return!!! Peaches at the bar is so personable and full of personality! I'd go back just to talk to him! I will be back!

Mandy C.

Yelp
This place was full of families and definitely seems like a neighborhood spot. We came looking for fish and chips and a little snack. We got seated quickly and the server was really sweet. Food came out quickly. We ordered the gin cocktail and it was very okay. Conch fritters were pretty good. I got a Caesar small salad with fries. The plating was very annoying I couldn't mix up my salad and everything was falling off the plate. The Caesar was okay. Lots of clumps of shaved parm. The fries were just okay too. Not much seasoning. Can't say I'd be dying to come back

Kyra M.

Yelp
visited on 7/20/2023. Lobster Cobb salad was great however, the AC IN THE RESTAURANT DIDN'T WORK . The ambiance made it miserable.

Simone H.

Yelp
The last time I went to six feet under the food was underwhelming and the service was the same. Service was excellent today. They have 20% mandatory tip on any bills over $100, however, I would have tipped additional if I was the person paying. I'm not sure if the servers name. He was the only black male working and he was great. Pleasant, food came out within good time, and he complimented me which always works. We had shrimp quesadillas, fried green tomatoes, fish fritters, and I had calamari tacos from my entrée everything was good.

Kassidy F.

Yelp
Blake was an excellent server and described the menu very well! This place wasn't tok packed for a Sunday night

Andrea M.

Yelp
If you don't do the fried stuff then you can actually taste the food quality, and hence an updated review is needed. The hubs and I had a bunch of fried items the last few times we were here, and all fried things taste universally the same: oily. Even though we left this time still needing to drink lots of water due to the sodium intake, it wasn't as bad. The big tuna platter: The tuna had a nice color with it being rare. There was a beautiful sesame crust that gave the tuna some pizzazz. It sat upon a bed of stir fry spinach and chopped veggies with fried jalapenos. The cucumber wasabi provided an interesting flavor profile as well. Salmon BLT sliders: There were 3 sliders enclosing grilled salmon and bacon. These were simple sliders: one slice of tomato, romaine lettuce, and a remoulade sauce. I subbed the potato chips with zucchini fries (at no additional charge?). The fries were pretty good but a tad oily.

David L.

Yelp
We got dinner here before a movie at Madison Park and the line at Muchacho was too long. Apparently this place used to be a neighborhood hotspot but many of the newer things further east have taken their business. Dinner was good. I got Seared Tuna and Jalapeño Hushpuppies, which were both pretty good. The atmosphere in here is also pretty cool - kind of like a beach bar. Good seafood and good bar atmosphere, just not stellar.

Mike L.

Yelp
This was my first time coming to this location in a while. (Since my college days at GSU) It was lunch time and I wanted to try something different for taco Tuesday. I ordered the fish tacos and they were spicy but good. They came with a side of fries and I washed it down with a glass of water. Everything was going fine until the check came. I'm a GSU Alum and I'm used to Six feet under honoring their partnership with GSU Alumni. However, not today. The bartender either did not want to give me the discount or just didn't know what to do but it left a bad taste in my mouth. The bartender asked me for proof that I went to GSU so I showed him my GSU alumni card. He did not accept it and did not put the GSU affinity discount on my bill. I was disappointed but life goes on. I hope management does some training or they contact GSU Alumni offices to update their partnership.

Tawanna J.

Yelp
First visit. Waitress was pleasant, for starters we ordered buffalo oysters. We ordered them with blue cheese crumbles, and they were delicious. Our food came out shortly after. I can't say that the fries I ordered were hot because they were not and they were not all that great. The rest of the food was good. My partner did say the slaw was ok but the fish and chips were good. We sat in a booth with a view out of the window. It was not a most pleasing view so be mindful of your seat choice because across the street is a graveyard. Military discount only when in uniform. The overall experience was nice and inviting. I'd recommend to friends.
