Octo

"With bare brick walls, a wood-clad high ceiling and black metal accents, the interior is the epitome of faux-industrial. Drenched in sunlight during the day, it is moodily lit at night. Either way, it has a real buzz that makes for a fun visit. Octo, which bills itself as a tapas restobar, is ideal for Spanish tapas, like their famous traditional croquettes, gazpacho and 48-month Iberico ham, washed down with a round of drinks." - Michelin Inspector

Went back after 2 years and food was still amazing! Favorite dishes were the anchovies toast and the pulpo. 6 dishes are good for 2 we feel. Sangria is very very good!! Dessert is decent, but personally thought the chocolate cake was a bit ‘normal’ (moist, but hard to keep up with the savory courses). The space and location is quite perfect :)

I had a fantastic experience at Octo Taps Resto Bar! The ambiance is beautifully designed—simple yet sophisticated, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. The location is right in the heart of the city, making it super convenient to visit. One of the things I loved most was the entrance—you have to walk up a staircase that gives a sense of discovering a hidden gem, which adds to the charm and excitement. The food is not only delicious but also visually stunning, with well-thought-out presentation that makes each dish even more appealing. The menu offers a variety of unique and flavorful dishes that are definitely worth trying. Whether you’re looking for a romantic date spot or a chill weekend hangout with friends, this place is perfect. Great vibes, great food, and a truly enjoyable experience—I’ll definitely be coming back!

Nachos- he is the best headchef ever i have been talking with, he has very nice cooking skill, amazing creative, and so much gently. He made amazing food and he know alots about the wine, so much good headchef Beside the food was made by him, the dessert is super amazing also. I love so much the cheesecake and the olive cake. It was amazing, it’s softy and silky, abit wet on top made you feel like tiramisu, olive oil’s taste (not too much he made it so much balance) it’s going with the vanilla ice cream on top and abit salt, yes!! I know you guys thinking it’s so weird but so much cool trust me, the cream from olive - sweet from vanilla and abit salty- balance everything together!! Nachos you should be open une pâtisserie. C’était super délicieux!!! Octotapas Restobar - LEVEL 2, 75 Hồ Tùng Mậu, P.Bến Nghé, Quận 1. (Not downstairs)

A very nice Spanish restaurant in the center of the city - a good choice in case you got bored of Vietnamese kitchen. The food quality is amazing - especially the seafood dishes. Definitely worth a visit!

I need more flavor to the food. Customers need more professional staffs who should have known more about the food. When I asked them for foods and drink recommendation, they were completely confused, and they just knew a little about Tapas.

nice spanish restaurant with decent food. our main issue was the pacing of each dish. before we were halfway with a dish, the staff would bring out our next 1-2 dishes even though we asked for them to bring out one at a time, or two at a time and wait until we’re done before bringing out more because our food got cold before we could get to them.

Interesting entrance where you walk through another restaurant to go up to level 3. The gambas was fresh but could use a touch more seasoning. Huevos rotos was missing the runny yolk which usually covers this dish. The smoked anchovies on toast with potato salad was very good. The anchovies paired with the light potato salad and the crispy toast was a delicious combination every mouth full. The grilled octopus was cooked until very tender and soft. But was too full by the time this came.

7 courses dinner on Valentine day. The food is no where near Michelin. Below average for me. Not worth the time and money. The service is alright, big crowd to please. Very disappointed!
