"At Ocyá, fisherman-chef Gerônimo Athuel serves sustainably caught seafood on Ilha Primeira, a small island in Barra da Tijuca, accessible only by boat—and at a just-opened outpost right in Leblon."
On the day of our visit, several cocktails, several starters and several main courses were not available. Disappointing, but still 4 stars from me for a good service, the quality of food and a nice environment, (despite hard and uncomfortable chairs).

Do not miss this restaurant. Best in the area. Take a bot at Barra Shopping an in 5’ you are there.
The chef suggestion: sarda fish with banana smash was delicious!

Fresh, delicious food! I’m glad we were able to get a reservation because this place got pretty crowded by the time we were seated. The service was really efficient and the menu options were plentiful. Great prices and great selection.

Favourite, already one of my favourite restaurants in Rio / Barra da Tijuca. The setting, the staff, the cold bottle of Rose wine and the incredible seafood - all 5 stars. Taking a boat there adds to the adventure and secluded nature of the restaurant. Also the prices are reasonable considering the quality and location. Pair a visit with a lagoon tour for a great day out.

Gorgeous location, incredible food, wonderful service. Everything we had was absolutely delicious, would go back in a heartbeat. Take cash for the boat ride there and back.

In order to get here you need to take a boat. We parked in a parking lot after the golf club. R$ 20 to park. The boat was R$ 7. The place was infested with mosquitoes, they provided mosquito repellent. They run out of octopus, so I had to order something else with octopus, which only had a little bit. It took a long time for the food to come, 40 min. The food was average. They charge 13% service.

Thanks so much for the wonderful experience. Outstanding fish in an amazing setting and very friendly team. Just don't be in a rush when you come and make sure you add little mangrove tour to see come jacarés

What an amazing recommendation from our friends. We went for dinner and the scenery was beautiful. We got as starters the sashimi and the octopus and wow, best octopus we’ve ever eaten. And as a main we had their classic fish dish with picanha and was so yummy! Thanks for an amazing evening
