Hidden Gem With Class: A Speakeasy Vibe & Elevated Eats Tucked directly next to I-35, this upscale bar strikes the perfect balance between vintage charm and modern sophistication. From the moment you step inside, the dim lighting, plush seating, and quirky ambiance transport you to a more refined era—yet everything feels fresh and current. The bar program is outstanding, offering expertly crafted cocktails that show off both classic technique and inventive flair. My drink, Honey, it's thyme, was light and refreshing with the ginger beer spice, while my wife had the "Going Bananas" which was a balance of tropical juices and rum floater. But what truly sets this place apart is the food. Their English breakfast is a masterclass in comfort and quality—hearty, beautifully plated, and made with top-tier ingredients. The chorizo breakfast burrito? A bold, flavorful standout. Packed with just the right amount of spice, it’s the kind of dish that lingers in your memory and keeps you coming back. Food Network host John Green has hit the mark. Music was solid and there are tv's above the bar. The club next door is a poker place and you wouldn't know it's there. Full menu available till 12 on weekdays and 2am on weekends. Whether you’re here for an early brunch, an intimate date night, or late-night drinks with friends, this place delivers on all fronts. Upscale without being pretentious, nostalgic without being gimmicky—this is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food, great drinks, and a bit of mystery. Ritzy in Round Rock is here to stay.

We stopped in to check out the happy hour and we are so happy that we did. The craft cocktails were delicious, and the draft beer selection was amazing, especially for the price! The bartender recommended the wings to snack on, and they were fantastic. We enjoyed the atmosphere and chatting with employees behind the bar. Highly recommend!

We ate dinner here last night. Love the decor/atmosphere. They have a nice streamlined menu, small but varied. We had the truffle fries as an appetizer which were great. I had the Burrata and arugula salad and the pasta Bolognese. The portions were generous and the ingredients were fresh. Presentation was nice. The only thing is that both were pretty bland. When I ate my leftovers today, I added my own seasonings to both. My husband got the Korean beef rice bowl, which he really liked. It was pretty spicy, but he likes spice. The desserts looked delicious, but we were too full to try them. We saved a few bucks on beers and the appetizer with happy hour, which lasted until 6:30. Service was great. We look forward to trying this place again.

Google
Went here on our date night. It was a very nice evening. We really wanted the Braised Short Ribs, but they had already sold out. The food was good, and presented nicely. Drinks were spot on and made with good liquor and ingredients. I would have liked the sprouts to be a bit more cooked (slightly Al dente) and I could have gone for a slightly larger slice of cheesecake (never had cheesecake made with goat cheese), but all in all it’s a nice spot to meet up with friends or a nice night out with your partner…. Will be back!

I arrived late Thursday night from Miami, tired and not expecting much more than a quick bite and a drink. But from the moment I walked into Odds Bar & Bistro, Tim the bartender changed everything. He greeted me with genuine warmth and hospitality that instantly made me feel like a regular, even though it was my first time there. That first nightcap set the tone for my entire stay. Tim guided me through a lineup of incredible aperitifs, each one better than the last, paired with a perfect soundtrack in the background that made the whole experience feel cinematic. It was relaxed, elevated, and unforgettable — exactly what I didn’t know I needed after a long travel day. The food, of course, sealed the deal. As someone from Buffalo and a serious wing purist, I was skeptical. But the rubbed smoked wings? Easily the best I’ve ever had — no exaggeration. Add the crispy sweet potato fries with a ridiculously good aioli, and it was game over. And then came the Secret Beach IPA — bold, balanced, and hands-down the best IPA I’ve tasted anywhere. Odds isn’t just a bar or a bistro — it’s a place you want to keep coming back to. The atmosphere is effortlessly cool and inviting, the food is out of this world, and Tim? He’s the kind of bartender who turns a stop for a drink into the highlight of your weekend. If you’re in or near Round Rock, make this your first stop. Ask for Tim. Trust his drink picks. Settle in. You won’t want to leave.

Google
Odd’s Bar and Bistro is absolutely a new favorite. The menu has an interesting and different combination of things. I got the salmon with mashed potatoes and broccolini and he got the Korean steak stirfry. The beer and wine were both good and I tried a margarita that was totally on point. I had an espresso martini, and he had a double shot of espresso with the churro and the cheesecake desserts. Not only is the food excellent, the staff is professional, and the bartenders are knowledgeable. Love this place!

Google
This is a place with a fresh look and a totally cool vibe. The food is excellent and the drinks are stellar. It’s fancy enough for date night but laid back enough for a drink with the boys. Shout out to Courtney and Matt for always making me feel at home!

Google
This place really does beat the odds. Named after the poker hall next door....it's hands down the best cocktail lounge in north Austin. Each beverage is crafted with top shelf ingedients and rare finds. It reminds me of a lounge in Chicago or New York. Great food also....stays open late.

Yelp
Courtney and Odlays were the best servers/bartenders I've ever had, they were so welcoming and so patient I couldnt have imagined anyone better. highly recommend.

Yelp
Excellent food and service, and great ambience for a dine-in meal. I ordered the Odds Burger with Fries and it was delicious.

Yelp
Came in for bday brunch for my significant other. We got here right as they opened. Staff was friendly. We both had a mimosa ($2 for Sunday brunch) . He ordered the All-America breakfast no meat replaced with avocado instead, I opted to get the French toast. He enjoyed his all-American breakfast - great portion size , and taste was as to be expected no thrills about it. The French toast was different. The whipped cream was homemade. I loved that with the fruit however, the toast itself was super thick came with four squares, due to the thickness - it makes it about two slices of bread. The inside was slimy. I guess more like a bread pudding than a French toast And it had a bit of a pumpkin flavoring, or maybe it was a lot of nutmeg. I'm not too sure it was good, but I wouldn't order it again due to the texture - prices are reasonable, and the establishment itself is very modern with odd photos and wallpaper surrounding the place, lots of seating and nice lighting would be good for a cute brunch/lunch or dinner with friends/ family. Full bar. Great concept and I hope they get more vegetarian options soon and they place does well. Lots of potential. I will definitely be back to try more of the menus.

Yelp
Decided to make another visit because I loved the Yelp event here! Some of the items I got at the Yelp events weren't on the menu and I was a little sad about that. The Cuban sliders, tropical shrimp, ceviche tostado, or the salmon canape wasn't on the menu. However, I'm always open to trying new things Appetizer -Truffle fries- tasty and you can taste the truffle Main/Entree - Salmon- I got my salmon with the cream sauce that typically is for the chicken. It was so good and I highly recommend adding it as an option. It was a very comforting way to eat salmon. -Brocollni- Just typical brocollini, nothing over the top. It was solid and a good side item -Brussel sprouts - These were a hit at the yelp event. I wish they were prepared the same way. The sauce on top is better than on the side. I think they should let customers choose if they want it on the side or over the top. I didn't enjoy this dish Dessert churro with churro gelato- YUMMMMMM add it to th menu OFFICIALLY I will be back for brunch to decide if Odds will be a regular spot for me

Yelp
An unassuming, "odd-but-in-a-good-way" spot for dinner, happy hour, and a date night! I first learned about this spot after such a positive experience at the recent Yelp Elite event and told my husband we should give it a try for a date night. We went on a Wednesday night and made sure to take advantage of their weekday happy hour that occurs 3-6:30pm. From the happy hour menu, I got a New York sour ($10 classic cocktail) and he got a $5 draft, and we shared the truffle fries and salt and pepper wings (each $8). We were still feeling like eating more food so we ended up also ordering and sharing their classic burger. Neither of us expected much from their food since it looked more focused on their bar area, but all the food was surprisingly delicious! Their truffle fries were lovely with a light crisp, pillowy inside and savory aioli. Their wings were extremely crispy with plenty of meat on them, and were so well-seasoned that you didn't really need to dunk them in the provided sauces (buffalo and bbq) - my mouth is watering just remembering how good these were. Then, there was the wonderful burger which maybe couldn't beat but would definitely rival some of the best we've had in town! The patty was a decent sized hunk of well cooked meat with paper thin crispy onions, non-soggy tomatoes and lettuce, and a hearty bun. I wished I had a second stomach to finish it all, but I was so full after all the wings and fries. We plan to come back to this spot for the burger alone. Our server was extremely friendly and very on top of taking care of us the minute we sat down. She was there every step of the way, and had given us the heads up recommendations for the wings and burger. A+ service! Parking is plentiful as it is located in a large shopping plaza.

Yelp
So Odds was started because of the poker club next door. That club had gone from providing dinner for players (BBQ, pizza, etc.) to having vendors come in to sell food to selling pre-packaged food (sandwiches, etc.) but apparently didn't want to be in that business. So, they open Odds as a separate restaurant with a mission to be a good place to eat, even when you're not at a poker table. Odds is good. The food is good quality, the flavors pop - nothing wrong with that at all. The problem lies in pricing and price-to-value ratio. They're clearly pricing to a captive audience (as soon as Odds open, the poker room disallowed ANY outside food, including UberEats or other restaurants in the shopping center). $17 for a chicken sandwich and fries - even a good one - is ridiculous. $23 for a korean BBQ and rice bowl? And the cheesecake... see my picture of the three spoonfuls of cheesecake they call a serving. Also: advertised as a Basque cheesecake... was barely blonde. Cut the prices by 25-30% and you've got good value. But they won't - they have a captive audience. That suggests that the quality is likely to decrease over time, too, as they look to eek out even more profit margins. Bottom line - would I go to Odds as a standalone restaurant? Absolutely not - there are too many just-as-good restaurants very, very nearby to justify the price difference.

Yelp
The Wednesday lunch bunch tried the new bar and bistro in Round Rock today. Odds Bar and Bistro is very upscale with a nice bar and the requisite tvs scattered around the bistro. No host greeted us when we entered until the bartender hurried over and told us we could sit anywhere. It appeared that there was no waitstaff on duty and we were the only customers in the restaurant. He promptly brought us menus and water and returned shortly to take our orders. Three of us ordered the odds burger with fries. The lettuce, tomato, onion, etc were supposed to be on the side but everything was stacked up on the burger. After deconstructing to our preferences, we dug in. The 1/2 burger was well cooked but no apparent seasonings and lacking flavor. Overall, we wanted to like Odds Bar and Bistro but the experience was average at best. We all rated it a 5 or 6 out of 10. We hope to see some improvement next time we visit.

Yelp
It's hard to find a place that's both cute and serves substantial food without breaking the budget. Burger (blue cheese and steak sauce one) was one of the best I ever had. Espresso martini was perfect. The bartender (Courtney i think) was super knowledgeable about the menu and so mindful. Will update post when I inevitably go back and remember to take pictures.

Yelp
Co-owner John Green, with the help of his wife, designed the building and helped build out the space. The team behind Odds Bar and Bistro are clearly passionate about the craftsmanship of the furniture, from the cheeky wallpaper down to the black walnut that makes up the cocktail bar. Check in was followed by a sparkling drink of champagne or an Arnold Palmer for sober attendees. Bathroom is flanked with the same booze-drinking monkey and cigar-puffing birds, while the faucets are golden goose heads. There was a refreshing assortment of passed tapas featuring salmon ceviche, smoked salmon crostini, coconut shrimp on salsa verde, caramelized plantains, and a sweet Cuban slider. The drink I chose was the rumplespritzkin; a bright series of mint meets fruity meets smooth liquor with a bubbly finish. Our group was fortunate to be delighted by a characateur giving out portraits, and a calligraphist personalizing canvas bags in our ink color of choice. The main menu and brunch menu seems to have something for everyone, ranging from burgers to hand-made pastas to a full English breakfast. While in conversation with John, he did share some apprehension at the people of Austin finding their restaurant given the location in an older plaza, but with the quality of food, passion for excellence, and unique and inviting ambiance, I don't think they have anything to worry about.

Yelp
This is a NICE please. The food and drink menu is nice and elevated. The kitchen staff does a stellar job with the food. The decor and environment is fresh, different and elevated. BUT... The large screens everywhere throw it all off. Odds Owners - what do you want to offer us? A nice, classy, elevated experience and an awesome place for dates and celebrations? Or, do you want to offer a nice sports bar experience? If this is what you want, nothing wrong with that, let's do it, change the menu to nachos and wings, lower your prices and get rich. But if you want to offer a nice bistro experience, DITCH the TVs! It's one or the other. You need to choose one clear concept and not confuse your clientele. I personally will support either one, but can't support both. You got everything you need to become a legend and offer something remarkable but right now your bipolar proposal is costing you business.

Yelp
Come get into these DETAILS!!! I spy with my little eye a new bar and bistro on the outskirts of downtown Round Rock and you won't be disappointed! Not only are the staff amazing but the food choices are so authentic and delightful. Ceviche with salmon 10/10!!! The salmon bruschetta is amazing too!! I cannot wait to experience their Sunday brunch and outside patio that will be open soon. This is how you make a splash!! I cannot brag enough how the decor is so thoughtful and unique...the industrial open ceilings to the wallpaper, bar stops and tile plus the portraits that are a mix of modern art with a twist. This place is a vibe. The STAFF is amazing!! Idk how they managed to find the most kindest souls to work here and make you feel valued. I will def be back. Do not continue to be an outside observer please check them out and enjoy the menu and beautifully crafted cocktails or mock tails you won't be disappointed. AND to the CHEF I adore you never stop your creations are unique and divine.

Yelp
Comfortable, cute, good service and food. Happy hour 3 - 6:30 everyday. Half price appetizers and drinks.

Yelp
Odds Bar + Bistro opens to the general public in January and get ready for a great meal! Wonderful evening here and for a soft opening, everything went smoothly. Great cocktail menu (I ordered the New York Sour) and the chili lime wings was a great appetizer. We ordered the Korean Gochujang Satay Rice Bowl and the Nashville Hot Sandwich. I'd get them again. And you need to save room for the made-in-house NY Cheesecake, so creamy and delicious!! Shoutout to Luci for answering all our questions and the great recommendations. I can't wait to go back and may need to try one of the burgers next.

Yelp
Three of us went for a girls dinner here. The drinks were just okay. Pricing is in line with a good quality craft cocktail but if I'm paying that then I want the good quality craft cocktail. We tried specialty drinks and normal drinks and all of them were just mediocre at best. Same goes for the food. It was either too soggy or mediocre. Candied bacon was soggy and brussels sprouts were definitely soggy. The wings weren't bad but they brought us carrots that were brown. I was shocked they didn't at least just shave that part off! Went there on a Tuesday night. It was probably halfway full with plenty of staff on hand. The service was horrendous. We were only checked on once at the end otherwise had to wait and flag someone down. The worst part is there are jumbo TV's EVERYWHERE! Probably from the poker lounge that used to be here. They left them up and put tables underneath them so beware if you have any light sensitivity or motion issues as you will likely be seated near a TV. I don't have other issue but I still left with a headache because we were sitting two tables away from a ginormous TV that was playing a college basketball game. The TV's also make the vibe a little weird. It's a harsh contrast to the swanky vibe they were going for. I was excited to see something go into the shopping location, but do not plan to go back. If it was just the food or drinks, I would give them a chance, but the service and TVs really solidified it for me.

Yelp
Was told half my meal wasn't is stock, then 20 minutes later (after my SO meal came out) my full meal came out (they had it in stock but makes me question where it was hidden). Service was slow, bartenders cared more about making them selves drinks over customer service. Food was bland. Maybe we went on a bad night but not worth it in our books to try it again. Hope it is better for all those after us.

Whittney B.

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere. Delicious food and a whimsical experience with an edge.an experience you won't be disappointed you had.

Yelp
FANTASTIC first visit to Odds!! We read about it, saw the photos and couldn't wait to try it out. And our visit went above & beyond our expectations! The vibe/ambiance is just so cool!! Courtney and all of the other staff we interacted with were just wonderful. The food was delicious & well-priced and the cocktails were on point! We live in Cedar Park but will definitely be spending more time in Round Rock at this lovely place!! Can't wait to go back!

Jake G.

Yelp
Bad food, super slow service to the point I had to look for a server to pay for overpriced meal. Honestly just avoid.

Yelp
Pleasant experience very welcoming I ordered the expresso martini, odds burger, and the chocolate lava cake. All were delicious and affordable. My fiancé got the stirfry. Also it's cute that they have monkeys everywhere.

Yelp
I saw this little gem on social media and my husband and I decided to go for lunch during the week for my birthday. Courtney was amazing, the place was empty and she was the bartender and server all in one. She had great energy and was awesome, I highly recommend you try her drink special on the Special Spring menu, her name will be by the drink as I can't recall what it was but it tasted great! We tried the Tuna Poke Bowl and the Bolognese, both were perfection. I definitely recommend trying this place, we will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Yelp
I love hanging out at Lodge Card Club, so I thought I'd test my luck with the food at their Kitchen Odds Bar and Bistro. The chicken burger? Let's just call it mediocre. It wasn't bad enough to ruin my day, but it's definitely not earning a spot in my food fantasies anytime soon. Still, I'm an optimist (or maybe just a glutton for punishment), so I gave their breakfast a second chance. Big mistake. Let's just say the only thing cooking in that kitchen is pure chaos. I ended up nibbling on the bread, omelette, and a few sweet tomatoes (grilled, allegedly). That said, I'm feeling generous, so I'll give them one more shot in a month. Here's hoping third time's the charm! Just because I like Lodge card house.

Yelp
Food was great, really appreciate the gluten free options and indicators on the menu. Cocktails looked amazing though I didn't partake. The design of the place is stunning.

Paige W.

Yelp
The deviled eggs had no salt. The poke tower was ok and the Brussel sprouts were tossed with Balsamic, mushrooms and bell pepper. Taking the Brussel sprouts home to the air fryer. The bartender cleaned the bar next to us and the ammonia from the cleaner with our food on the bar. Basically it is a really nice looking restaurant with over priced food that serves a variety of cuisines. The food does not match the restaurant vibe.

Amanda M.

Yelp
My husband and I visited on a Saturday night with another couple, we had a reservation. The hostesses were very nice but seemed to lack training in how to determine who to seat first. After a few missteps we were seated. Our waitress was kind and told us that the restaurant had only been open 3 weeks, was an entirely scratch kitchen and also services the card club next door (I suspect this is a huge part of the problem). We waited 30 minutes for our cocktails to arrive after ordering and when they did, one old fashioned had a cherry, one did not, one cocktail was fine but the last one was the biggest problem- the rim was covered in leftover lipstick. My friend took it back to the bar and they kindly remade it and the manager comped our whole first round which was unexpected but appreciated. Since they were trying to make things right we ordered appetizers, the sweet potato fries and edamame. They took another 30 minutes to come out and were stone cold. The fries were pathetic, not a single one was longer than an inch and a half and the serving was more of a side dish than an appetizer to share. When our second round of drinks had still not come out after more than 30 minutes (all simple pours of wine or whiskey) we decided to not stay for dinner. Judging by the size of the restaurant there is no way that only 2 bartenders and their kitchen can handle the restaurant and the card club which appears to be huge.

Yelp
Odds B&B started out on a high note. Sadly, it has not kept up with the 'high note'. It seems to be morphing into a place for the next door high-rollers to feast. The drinks, for example, are way over-priced compared to their competitors. Let's hope this fall-off is temporary as they continue on their journey to make their restaurant and bar great again.

Patrick H.

Yelp
The decor of Odds is stunning. The staff was friendly and my hot chicken sandwich was great.
google avatar

Cheryl D.

Yelp
Great ambiance, love the decor. Menu is small, good pricing. Caesar salad was small, they were out of chicken. Cheesecake was delicious however the portion was truly underwhelming. There were 4 of us splitting it and we literally had one bite each. Service was great, no complaints there. My friends were underwhelmed with the fish and chips and the poke bowl. Improve on the food and you will have a winner!

Yelp
I am really rooting for this place, but they have a lot of of kinks to work out. Wait staff is very friendly and it looks like it's well staffed. Here is the good: great decor, great old fashioned, buratta caprese salad was decent, braised short ribs were super tender but tasted like pot roast (not what I was expecting from the description I have definitely had better), mashed potatoes were delicious and the carrots were cooked perfectly. The not so good: edamame was extremely overcooked and mushy, 2 of our 3 cocktails were not good. The bad cocktails were very disappointing considering the proproiter is in the business of cocktails. One would assume the Rosemary Blonde would have some kind of hint of rosemary, even perhaps a sprig. The drink itself tasted like a very tart lemonade with a hint of grapefruit. The Oaxacan Martini was slightly better, but still not impressive. It was not balanced in it's flavors and was heavy on the mezcal. I love good mezcal drink. A good cocktail should be balanced in all it's components and should not taste like pure alcohol. Like I said I am rooting for this place, and they are still new so hopefully it gets better. I am willing to give it another try.

Suzie Q.

Yelp
This place was delicious, comfy and perfect for a little birthday celebration. The American Breakfast came out perfectly as well as the burger. Especially tasty and CRISP were the home-fries. We will return! Thank you Noelle (Noel) for your super sweet smile and great service!

Yelp
'Odds' just opened and are still working out a few kinks. My husband and I found the new restaurant well-appointed. The food quality was excellence and savory. Our wait staff member was very helpful. The tatted-up female bartender would be much better suited at a bikers bar as their taste is less discerning. We went at night and they really need some outside lighting and lighted signs. Finally, having a drug-infused white male hustle us for money as we walked to our car after dinner was most alarming.

LeAnn L.

Yelp
Lovely addition to the Round Rock area! We had apps & drinks for lunch today and they were delicious. Nicole, our server, was delightful and suggested two of her favorites...the Caprese salad & the lava cake for dessert. They have a newly expanded menu (I'll be back to try other items) and I highly recommend the beef rib appetizer. The drinks were top notch too. Give it a try!

Allie F.

Yelp
This place is a breath of fresh air. Love the food and the cocktails are unique. Courtney is a great bartender!

Yelp
Food, service , and restaurant all really good. Parking is a definite issue - but wouldn't keep me from trying again!

Yelp
Vibe was great. Lunch was super good. Got the black and blue cheeseburger. Would like tp go back for HH.
