I've been meaning to try Odette for some time. I went to the store just by the Notre Dame. The service was pleasant. Many different flavours to choose from. I was recommended the classic vanilla and chocolate. I chose the chocolate and pistachio ones. Absolutely delicious. Really light but with generous amount of creme, which tasted just right and not too sweet.

A gorgeous pâtisserie in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Odette's celebrated cream puffs are known as the best in Paris. They are simply delicious!

Google
Friendly staff, average desert. Place is very close to Notre Dame. They have many flavors. We tried pistachio one and it tasted very much like marzipan. Not the best desert I had in Paris but you can give it a try.

Nestled in the charming streets of Paris' Latin Quarter, Odette is a must-visit destination for lovers of French pastries. Known for its signature cream puffs, or choux à la crème, this quaint café delights visitors with an array of flavors, from classic vanilla to exotic pistachio and rose. Each puff is beautifully crafted, making them as visually stunning as they are delicious. The café itself exudes Parisian charm, with its cozy interior and a picturesque view of Notre-Dame Cathedral from the upstairs seating area. It’s the perfect spot to indulge in a sweet treat while soaking in the city’s timeless ambiance. However, Odette’s delightful offerings come at a premium price. While the cream puffs are undeniably delectable, some visitors might find them a bit expensive compared to similar options in Paris. Still, the quality and artistry behind each creation make it a worthwhile splurge for those seeking an authentic taste of French pastry craftsmanship. Whether you're treating yourself to a single puff or indulging in a box to share, Odette promises a memorable experience. It’s not just a café; it’s a sweet escape into the heart of Parisian tradition.

Google
The most iconic Choux in Paris ❣️ A very Parisian cafe located behind Shakespeare and Company and looking directly at Notre Dame de Paris this little cafe offers not only a great ambience and delicious Choux but a very Parisian spirit. To begin with the service is great ❣️ The girl was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. She was also very fast to serve us. We spent a lovely time in the café and enjoyed our stay there. Needless to say that the Choux are delicious and out of this world. They are of different flavours and rich in texture and taste. I opted for the Pistachio one and my daughter chose the one with raspberry ❣️ Even though the Choux is quite small, it is absolutely fulfilling. The coffee was also great and the hot chocolate that my daughter had. The prices are super affordable and reasonable taking into account the location and the view on Notre Dame that it has. Thus, if you want to spend a lazy and quiet evening in the very heart of Paris, France, definitely go to Odette. I myself will definitely be returning there the next time I am in Paris ❣️ Highly Recommend ❣️

Google
Best cream Puff near Notre dame, amazing terrasse ! So much worth it! A cream puff is 2,5€ goes lower as you buy more, 1 bite of divine pleasure. The cream puffs are very good, amazingly good in fact, you have about 8/9 variety that don’t seem to change and always a different Chou ( cream puff) of the month. You can order as few as just one and sit on their terrasse, what a treat. One can also order different sizes of boxes and tower made out of it. This is one of my favorite terrasse of Paris, it overlooks Notre dame, it’s on a piece of sidewalk that is very quiet and for most of sheltered from the rain. There are toilets on the second floor, on and the first floor you can also enjoy the view of Notre dame from your chair. Definitely a must go to places while on the Latin quarter or at Notre dame.

Google
My wife and I bought a box of Odette’s delicious cream puffs in Paris, as they were highly recommended by our wonderful Paris guide. She declared that they were the very best in Paris and she certainly was right! In fact, we wish that we had bought a few more! We purchased a box of cream puffs in a lovely long, rectangular box where we chose a variety of flavours and they were all absolutely delicious! My wife and I had eaten cream puffs before, but these were on another level! Definitely not your average cream puffs! We still talk about them to this very day! A Paris experience not to miss from our local guide! She certainly knew that Odette’s was the place to go!

Ryan Ho

Google
They make tasty and pretty cream puffs called choux. They have a few floors for dining in, and you can get a nice view of the street from the upper floors.

Yelp
If you're visiting Notre Dame, a trip to Odette is an absolute must! The macarons here are nothing short of spectacular, with an incredible selection of flavors that will delight your taste buds. Each bite is bursting with authentic, vibrant flavors that are perfectly on point. It's a true Parisian gem that will elevate your experience to a whole new level. Don't miss it!

Janis W.

Yelp
Had already been on our feet for several hours and needed a pick me up, and we turned the corner and there it was! Very excited to try this amazing patisserie, and it certainly didn't disappoint. We all picked our favorite flavors and enjoyed some amazing deliciousness that is Paris! Definitely a must stop!

Saira K.

Yelp
Wow! This place is wonderful! Thank you, Marina, a really lovely lady working there. She helped me when I was lost! I had the pistachio choux. It was so good! Highly recommend this place!

Alan T.

Yelp
This place is unreal. You can only see the three puffs I got because of you knew how many we got after....ya. Nuff said. Find this place. Sample all the puffs. All Of them. Yes. Every. Single. One. Because why not. When else will you ever taste anything like this ever again unless you live here??? It's a small shop but has such big flavor. Very fast and I like how you can order and get a plate to sit outside and eat as you people watch and drink your cafe. Ohhhh such good fond memories here because of the food. Not too sweet. Not so sweet that it's like...ya I can only eat 2 tops. No. It's not rich it's perfect. My memories are vivid because my brain didn't take a snapshot...it was on record because of how delish the puffs were. Come here. You will not regret it. Try everything. My favorite was the chocolate. Easily.

Ellen S.

Yelp
The service is as rude as their drinks are tiny. 100% do not recommend. Go elsewhere for your tea needs.

Andrea U.

Yelp
Thrilled to see this quaint and charming little cream puff shop opened. The flavors look wonderful from chocolate, Carmel, pistachio, butter cream.... unfortunately the chocolate, coffee, praline and pistachio cream puffs were sold out. We ate one of each left & they were so good we purchased and ate more. We tried citron, passion fruit, vanilla, caramel and framboise. They were so fresh & filled with so much cream inside!

Mark B.

Yelp
Always a line out the door of this place. To give it perspective, it is a small place. They do have a sitting area on the second level to sit. Most people are queuing up for these delightful morsels called pate choux. Varied flavors of coffee, chocolate, caramel, raspberry, and others. These bites are very perishable and you have to consume them in two days. No chance to bring it on the plane. This place is across the street from Saint Severin church.

Janelle S.

Yelp
Cute little crème puff shop. 2 euros per crème puff. Got the peach (which I believe was seasonal), coffee and lemon. Lots of cream inside. Tip: Don't eat these and walk (my sister and mother got the inside of the cream puff all over their jackets)

Joanne T.

Yelp
I'm not a huge fan of cream puffs but my mom really wanted to see this place on our trip. She and I are both huge fans of Gossip Girl and this was mentioned in an episode. In addition, it was located across the street from our Airbnb. I gave in and had some and I'm glad I did! They were delicious. Almost tasted like ice cream!! We ate the whole box in one day.

Vivian T.

Yelp
It was a rainy day, I was walking back to my apartment and decided to stop by for a coffee and treats. They turned out to be quite delightful. Upon some recommendation by the helpful staff I ordered: Passionfruit, Raspberry, and Coffee and a latte. Coffee flavor was my favorite. This location faces Notre dame cathedral, so i enjoyed the view while watching the rain fall -- and met some friendly people from Montreal.

Rain G.

Yelp
Odette made DELICIOUS cream puffs! I've wandered around Latin Quarter and saw this quaint place and ordered 6 different flavors. The service was quick, staff were friendly and these cream puffs were heaven! I recommend the Chocolat and Praline flavor.

Bruce K.

Yelp
Little pastry spot, that I would have to say after eating one you'll won't be able to stop yourself! What Odette offers are these cream puffs, not just any cream puffs, but absolutely to die for cream puffs. In fact we actually went there twice because we wanted to get another serving before we hopped on the plane. We tried all the flavors and I have to say none of them disappoint. Some were not our flavors, but overall every one of them were unique and you could really tell the different type of flavors that were offered. The puffs were light and airy in your mouth and wasn't too sweet either. I would definitely recommend to come by Odette and pick up a whole box and try all of their cream puffs!

Steve B.

Yelp
A few years ago Bloomberg published an article called The Best Pastries in Paris, According to Top Chefs. This place was recommended by Nobu Matsuhisa. I'm not a great fan of puff pastries, but these are incredibly delicious. We thought the chocolate, caramel and the raspberry were the best but unfortunately we did not have enough elastic in our pants size to try them all.

Linda C.

Yelp
How did I not know about this place sooner? On a recent trip to Paris I did some planning ahead for all of my favorite French pastries and desserts and found this as one of the best for cream puffs so I added it to my must-go-to lists and I'm so happy I did! Location: It's located within a couple blocks of the Notre Dame Cathedral so it's the perfect stop before or after to grab a snack when visiting the cathedral. Staff: The woman that took our order spoke enough English to understand our order and respond back to us in English. She was also very patient with us as we read through all the flavors they had on display before we decided what we wanted. Cream Puffs: I never knew I was a fan of cream puffs until I tried the ones from Odette. I had the passion fruit and a vanilla. The puff on each one had the perfect texture. They were light and fluffy and really was just a shell for the cream portion. They almost had a light crunch but not really; it's hard to explain. The cream's were heavenly. I could eat these all day every day. I'm totally a fan!

Sandy T.

Yelp
Yummy cream puffs with a great view. Like most places in paris eating in will cost more than taking it togo. Sitting outside there is a view of the Notre Dame. There have a variety of different flavors. I loved the chocolate and the the passion fruit. Definitely a must try if you are in the neighborhood!

Betty T.

Yelp
I went to this cute café two times when visiting my sister in Paris. Their cream puffs are delish!! My favorite fillings are coffee, chocolate, and passion fruit. An employee that took care of us was also very friendly! Will definitely go back!

Nataly K.

Yelp
It's very lovely pastry shop. Very tasty and fresh I had coffee, lemon and caramel flavors. Location is perfect. Service is very friendly

Trish W.

Yelp
After visiting Nôtre Dame, my son Paul and I stopped in for espresso and to try the famous cream puffs which seem to be filled with, not chantilly cream, but rather a light, yet unctuous, pastry cream mixed with intense fruit or other classic dessert flavors. We ordered: vanilla, caramel, chocolate, pistachio, raspberry and passion fruit. They are €1.90 each or 6 for €10.90. We were full from lunch but still managed to consume all of them in one sitting. Each puff was only two bites worth (or one for Paul), and just so unique and exquisite in flavor, with the choux acting only as a neutral, chewy vehicle for the rich, but somehow light, filling. There are several tables on the second and third levels and a restroom on the second. Lovely view of Nôtre Dame can be had from the indoor tables-see my pics

Violet B.

Yelp
I am not a fan of cream puffs but these are AMAZING! The raspberry tastes like raspberry sorbet and the pistachio was so good. The decoration on top was very cute. The packaging was very nice, we got 6 for 10.90 in a nice box. The salesperson spoke some English and was very nice, service was fast and efficient. Highly recommended even if you never liked cream puffs.

Darylynn D.

Yelp
Great cream puffs! I tried the green tea and caramel and they were really good and beautifully decorated. The top is topped with the color of the flavor of the cream puff and filled with cream of whatever flavor you choose. It's a cute little shop not far from Notre Dame.

Puxan B.

Yelp
The boutique is in a very picturesque part of the 5th district in the Latin quarter of Paris. Amazing opportunity to get a beautiful picture of the facade, enjoy some amazing creamy puffs (choux à la crème - they have 9 flavors) and gaze out to the view of Notre Dame. A great sweet coffee break opportunity during your sight seeing!

Angelina M.

Yelp
Quaint little pastry shop with views of Notre Dame! We stopped here on an afternoon to sit outside and enjoy some of their beautiful puffs. We stopped inside and I ordered a passion fruit and my husband got a pistachio. We also each got an espresso. The prices are not cheap but it's worth the experience! We sat outside on one of the little tables and watched as a bride came down the street in a vintage car to arrive at her wedding! This couldn't have been a more special experience. The puffs are delicious! The passion fruit cream was so flavorful and light and the puffiness of the pastry was delicate and chewy. The staff were super friendly as well!

Gab G.

Yelp
Amazing cream puffs in a cute little store. I had a caramel cream puff and it was just delicious. Looked like they had about a dozen different flavors, but I had a lot of other pastries to eat that day so I just went with the one. Perfect amount of cold cream and the decoration on top wasn't sickly sweet. I'd come back! Note: this bakery ONLY sells cream puffs.

Sarah S.

Yelp
I think Meg G. sums up Odette perfectly. All this adorable patisserie has is cream puffs. It's an adorable shop with the choux a la cremes on the first level in a beautiful case with a couple of charming workers. You can also order teas as we did and then take it all upstairs where they have about six tables you can dine at. We loved Odette's upper floor! It had a beautiful window with red flowers - simply epitomizing what you think a french bakery would look like. My friends and I took turns having our photos taken in front of this picturesque window. You have a beautiful view out the window while gossiping and eating the goodies. We absolutely loved Odette and would recommend the shop to all in the Notre Dame area.

Gabby C.

Yelp
I went to Odette with one item in mind: les Choux (aka cream puffs). After doing some research on various pastry spots in Paris, I needed to visit this place. It was pretty reasonable in terms of pricing (1.90€ per puff). I went with 6 puffs for roughly 10€ to get the full effect of these little balls of heaven. I tried the vanilla, berry, pistachio, chocolate, caramel and coffee flavors. It's safe to say, these guys were mind-blowing. If I had to pick my favorites, hand's down: the Berry and the Vanilla. The vanilla was a classic, while the berry was super refreshing. This place is a must-try for anyone visiting Paris.

Brooke S.

Yelp
We stopped in for a quick cream puff and had the best time picking them out! I went with the pistachio because I love anything pistachio and it was so delicious and almost too beautiful to eat! Also, Odette is located in one of the cutest buildings I've ever seen. It wasn't too busy when we went in the morning and staff was very helpful. They have nice seating up on the second floor but we didn't stay very long. Highly recommend!

Sam R.

Yelp
Odette 4/5 This has been such a Instagram famous spot; every time I see an Paris image odette would be in the rotation. The location wasn't hard to find at all, it was tucked away in a small corner of a alleyway, GPS is prime. So as for the image I'm sure you've seen it so it does look pretty. This review is for the dessert and the coffee. The coffee we got was absolutely amazing, def would be up there. I say this with a grain of salt because it was coming from an automatic machine and how good can a machine get right?! We got the cafe au lait and would recommend that one, usually I like it with no sugar but added half the sugar packet that was served with it and it was just perfect. I say this with a grain of salt as well because MAYBE the pairing of the coffee and the dessert made it awesome. We got what they only serve; it's like these little doughnut holes but they're filled with cream inside. You can also think of it as a cream puff too. We got the praline and the raspberry filled ones. Both were pretty excellent; my wife loved the praline but I really liked the raspberry. It reminded me of a really good raspberry donut back home. I would def get both the desserts and the coffee again. We could come back here and would recommend to everyone who wants a Instagram famous image, a really good dessert and coffee. Side note: they have three floors; the second floor has more seating although it may be small there were about 5-6 tables. Third floor has a bathroom, it is small but honestly everything in France is going to be small, you just got to get used to it and once you do it's all good. For those that complain about things being so small or cramped, it is what it is and that's how it is everywhere Would def go back for more to this cute cafe!

Serena K.

Yelp
Bite size pieces of cream puff heaven. If you love cream puffs you must stop by. They can get a little expensive but they're worth it - TRUST. Loved every single flavor I got the chance to try - I tried the praline, coffee and vanilla.

Rebecca T.

Yelp
Such a low-key, obscured, underrated place- but has the cutest, scrumptious cream puffs ever! Frankly, I don't even care for cream puffs. But Odette changed my mind! Bought myself a box of 6. I was really looking forward to the green tea flavored one, but surprisingly, I was disappointed. It lacked flavor, barely any taste of the green tea. I was almost going to give the establishment 4 stars based on the green tea cream puff alone. But the others: they completely changed my opinion. The praline one was AMAZING. The caramel was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Why let one sub-par flavor ruin the rest of the experience? I refuse! Doesn't come cheap (10 euros for 6), but they are well-crafted, made with love. Go there if you get the chance!

Jannice A.

Yelp
Very cute little patisserie for cream puffs near the Notre Dame! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Speaks a little English too, for those that are touring Paris. I ordered the chocolate and vanilla cream puffs. They were filled with a sweet and delicious flavored custard. Great for those with a little sweet tooth!

Meline V.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to indulge on choux and coffee. It is tucked in the street behind the famous Shakespeare book store. You can have a seat and feel like Parisian and indulge on espresso and choux. It's a must have when in Paris!

Shannen B.

Yelp
I decided to come here because of all the Instagram pictures I saw and I wasn't disappointed. The cream puffs were delicious and they were super photogenic. Their small but attractive shop is also ideally located near the Shakespeare & Co bookstore and the river.

Beverly T.

Yelp
Cute little shop filled with cream puffs that won't disappoint or break the bank :) They come in a variety of delicious flavors and pretty colors. The hubby and I made a quick stop here during our walk from Luxembourg Gardens to the Notre Dame Cathedral to pick up a box of 6 for later. They still tasted great after sitting in our hotel room for a few days. I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a nice place to take a break from exploring and indulge in some sweet treats!

Adrian S.

Yelp
With Paris having so much to offer I recommend you keep looking for another place to eat...unless, you have the kind of kids that suck the life right out of you and you need a place to rest your feet for a few moments. The staff is friendly and the view of Notre Dame is spectacular, but the other guests were kind of crappy. And by "other guests" I mean my kids.

Kenyatta B.

Yelp
All I can say is WOW! Tucked away in perfect view of Notre Dame was this amazing little place. I had two cream puffs and a café whilst soaking in the surroundings. Everything was perfect there. I highly recommend swinging by this spot when in Paris.

Meg G.

Yelp
Odette is right across the river to the south from Notre Dame, on the animated street, rue Galande. It has a beautiful black awning and red flowers in the windows from its 1st floor salon de thé. On the ground floor is where the magic is: choux à la crème. Or as we anglos call them, cream puffs. Odette is the perfect mixture of traditional French feel, with the black and white tiled floor and antique silver trays and cake stands, and that surprisingly modern je ne sais quoi of "what's cooking in grandma's kitchen". As the owner will share, Odette is his grandmother. And these delicious cream puffs, are made from her traditional recipe. After you order your cream puffs and bevvies, the narrow stairs lead you to the most precious room with tables and mirrors. Right outside the window is Notre Dame. French music is playing, and you'll down your cream puffs they are so delicious. You've got quite a few flavors to try. They are all just fabulous and perfect with a tea or a hot cocoa. Each cream puff is 1,90, or you can by them by the group of 6 or 12. So delicious. It's considerably busy in the afternoons and on the weekends.

Kim V.

Yelp
Odette is the place to be for your choux de la crème. Cream filled pastry puffs that come in various flavors, topped with icing. They are not big but big enough the enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea without the worries about too much calories. You can enjoy a choux or two at Odette, sitting on the cute little terrace with a hot drink of choice, or you can buy these little pastries and eat them at home. I choose six different flavors and brought them home with me so we could have them in the evening. I tried the lemon, pistachio and berries. They were all delicious, especially the pistachio. Creamy, soft and full of taste. When you buy them for at home they come in a pretty Odette box. These choux also make a great gift for a sweet tooth friend. It is something else than macaroons, the most typical Paris gift, and that is also fun for a change :)

Margret L.

Yelp
Wonderful choux pastry (cream puffs) in cute setting just off the main drag enough to feel serene. The choux makes nice gifts and come in adorable boxes. BUT the coffee is terrible. Please change the water out. It's OK it's from a quick machine, but I felt I got a really nice gulp of stale Paris pipe water (same every time). When you're having a lovely pastry the coffee matters, so please remedy this issue.

Haley H.

Yelp
I love Odette so much! When me and my 2 kids, Jack and Olivia, and my boyfriend went to Paris for the summer a while ago, we stopped by Odettes every day. I never, and I mean NEVER, liked cream puffs but I fell in love with Odette's cream puffs. I was born in France but moved to America at 7 months, my parents are both only french speakers so we went to Bordeaux but never found out about Odette's until I went with my kids.

Faye B.

Yelp
The cream puffs here are incredible. They are also simply adorable and come in a variety of flavours with pastel-coloured tops. I cannot recommend this place enough not only for the cream puffs but also due to their ideal location. You'll take a little winding staircase to a tea room with views looking out to Notre Dame. If you're able to try and nab the table by the window as it has such a romantic feel to it and you'll feel as though you can nearly touch the church. Very good prices I would say considering how centrally located it is and we received very friendly service. One of the cutest little spots for a little pick me-up and a coffee.

Lisa M.

Yelp
The best choux puffs in Paris, at VERY reasonable prices, that also serves champagne and drinks, with a charming tea salon upstairs, and outdoor seating on historic Rue Galande, with historic view of Notre Dame. This little place is in an iconic picturesque Paris location that has been photographed countless times as a focal point at the center of Medieval Paris. Chances are you've seen it in lovely Paris photos before. Come here!!! Also has gift boxes of all their choux puff flavors, that make a perfect gift.

Sneha S.

Yelp
This place had pretty awesome cream puffs and an even better location. The outdoor tables are fantastic just for sitting and mulling as well as people watching. It's also located in a really beautiful part of town and is just perfect around evening :) We had a couple of cream puffs - the passionfruit, raspberry and lemon were all delicious and did not disappoint :)

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
Two-bite beauties, like other Yelpers mentioned for approximately €1.9 each with a sweet fondant icing that you should taste but can be removed. The shop itself is what you could call Instagram-worthy and service is pleasant. Location-wise, it's a block from the Seine and right across from Notre Dame. You could probably miss this shop if you weren't looking for it because it's just a tiny bit off the street right behind an Asian food shop. Other Yelper's photos do show off the color palate in the glass case once inside---take your time picking flavors. Travel buddy and I chose the more traditional flavoring; and, my personal favorite was pistachio. Next time I'd try coffee, blueberry, and green tea. Note that there are seats on the second floor and one restroom on the third. Surprisingly I remembered this place from our trip that seems a lifetime ago, but definitely brought back a happy memory. Wonderful little shop and a tasty break. Recommend!

Mark D.

Yelp
While in Paris in July 2014, I walked past this amazing little shop on my way to my favorite cathedral, Saint Etienne du Mont, and I thought "oh I need to try that place". Not only because of the amazing pastries in the display case, but because of the beautiful view from the cafe. I'm SO glad I went back because it was amazing. It helped create the most perfect Parisian experience for me.... I sat outside staring at the Notre Dame cathedral eating a caramel cream puff and drinking espresso. My version of heaven. You must try this place in paris. You will not be disappointed.

L L.

Yelp
I love this place. It was our first stop upon arrival after a long flight. This is an endless heaven of French cream puff. If only cream puffs and French red wine or champagne went well together. Do make sure to stop in when visiting Paris.

Drea G.

Yelp
Best little cream puff ever! It has a fancy French name (choux à la crème) but it's essentially the best cream puff I've ever had! Light perfect pastry shell with heavenly creamy filling that has the perfect sweetness.

Kalley L.

Yelp
Very, very cute place. We mainly stopped because if was so charming and we wanted to sit outside. The cappuccino and latte were both good, but the creme puffs were to die for! Not only were they adorable but they were delicious as well! Highly recommend.

Ray S.

Yelp
Excellent cream puffs with a fantastic View of Notre Dame! Staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is very convenient when visiting the Catherdal.

Alison L.

Yelp
I loved these cream puffs!!! The shop is quaint with a bit of outdoor seating. I tried the vanilla and chocolate which were fantastic and had the most perfect crust. (I personally thought the icing was overkill but it's easy to peel off and toss to the side.)
