The Best New Restaurants in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"A new sourdough-crust-slinging pizzeria has swung into Oceanside, where it offers an array of inventive topping combinations on its 48-hour-fermented dough. Try the Biggie Smalls as a traditional round pie with vodka sauce, fresh and aged mozzarella, sausage, and shaved Parmesan, or the Cowboy Dan, which can be made grandma-style with pesto, aged mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, and zig-zags of hot honey. Starters like pizza pockets (golden dough balls filled with mozzarella, marinara, and pepperoni); glazed chicken wings, vegan wings, and chicken tenders; salads; and vegetable crudite round out the savory side of the menu; for dessert, try the Root Beer Fl-Odie, which is exactly what you would imagine." - Helen I. Hot San Diego Restaurant Openings You May Have Missed, June 2025 | Eater San Diego

"A new sourdough pizzeria two blocks from the Oceanside Pier that features chewy, crispy crusts fermented for 48 hours using a 25-year-old starter acquired from an acclaimed Portland pizzeria. The owner, who previously ran a Detroit-style vegan pop-up in Portland, uses organic Pacific Northwest flour and names pies after song titles; standouts include a barbecue shredded chicken pie with ranch and cilantro (Dude Ranch) and an EVOO-based pie topped with whipped burrata and hot honey (Benny and the Jets). All pies can be made vegan or gluten-free, and the founder plans to open additional locations in the region." - Helen I. Hwang

Review of the vegan options, grandma style. Definitely better than most vegan options of pizza in North County but not what I'd consider AMAZING. Grandma style crust isn't something you see often so it's fun to give it a try. Enjoyed that it's sourdough, too. Be prepared to wait, or just call in an order. When we ordered the line wasn't terrible but we waited at least 30 minutes and during that time the line grew out the door and stayed steady on a Wednesday evening.

Man, I was hoping for so much more. I watched them building this place with high anticipation. I ordered two slices, two different kinds. Both crusts were soft, gummy texture with little to no crunch. I hate leaving a review like this because I’m sure they put a lot of money into this build. The place was crowded and to their defense they seemed a little overwhelmed, but I have to call a spade a spade. So much room needed for improvement. Maybe it was an off day because they have signs on the door that read no slices sold after 3PM, only whole pizzas. Best of luck.

This place is all the hype. Amazing dough, so much flavor and depth, I’d eat it by itself. Pies are great, more neopolitan style than New York, still, amazing flavor. I don’t have enough words to describe the taste. Advice, order too much, take some home, and enjoy some truly amazing pies.

Stop Update: I came here for a second time expecting the same great experience and food and was sadly disappointed. I used to manage restaurants, so to me, the details and small things really matter for customers' experiences. We came to an overly loud space and ordered 3 different slices (cheese, the evoo slice, and a BBQ chicken) of pizza since they were out of the Cowboy Dan. We were so excited to get our pizza, but when it arrived, all the slices were burnt. I then looked up to see if it was just ours because we ordered slices, but it wasn't every single pie that came out burnt. Honestly, I would be pissed if I ordered a $23+ pie, and it came out burnt. Bad reviews coming from many is my guess. That said, I proceeded to taste it, and all I could taste was a burnt flavor. Not good. I got up after I ate ate to mention to someone working, I told him I came on my birthday and the pizza was amazing, but today it's not good, everybodys pizza looks burnt. He proceeded to say "yeah sorry we're having problems with our ovens." I thought well thanks for sharing, but that's your resolution. I'm not sure if he was a manager or employee, but I thought there were a million other ways to solve a problem like that. First things first. Get someone into fixing the oven stat (even if it's Friday), or close the doors. Or offer us to come back another time on you guys. Anyways, it got knocked a star for that. Past experience: This place is epic. They have yummy everything. And it's dangerously good. The full and bloated feeling you get from normal pizza isn't present here. The sourdough pie is the only way to go. Plus, the owner is super laid back, friendly, and approachable. A hotspot for sure, and many have already learned about this spot l, and will continue to. A+++++++++ all across the board. The best pizza is the Benny and the Jets, though. And epic pie!! It's probably the best pizza I've ever had. It was a nice surprise for my 40th birthday celebration. I hope they will consider making that available in slice form. I'd be here all the time for that. Thank you for great care, food, and a good time.

Google
I had lunch there today, I had the sausage, pepperoni, honey drizzle pizza that was beyond my wildest dreams. The sourdough crust the cheese, the red sauce, the perfect pepperoni and sausage with a honey drizzle, and the right spice. I’m not one much for reviewing, but when the food is this good, I just have to! Can’t wait to try the other yummy menu items of salads, frozen ice cream sandwiches and more.

Google
I really want to write a better review considering my friends got really great pizzas when we visited and ordered pizza to go, but my experience was different. I got victor Vaughn grandmas style, which has pepperoni on it. My friend grabbed the pizzas and we headed home, and when I opened it most of it was quite burnt. (First pic) I tried my best to eat it anyways as I didn’t want to waste $25 and I was hungry, but the burnt pieces and pepperoni made me nauseous. My friend offered to go back and ask then to remake, so I said sure. (I had to stay back for my kids naps). They agreed to remake it. My friend noticed she was getting a parking ticket so ran out with the pizza fast, and when she got to the car it looked pretty much the same as the old one. Still very burnt pepperonis and crust. I told her to just come home rather than try again. My friend got one with pesto and pepperoni and hers weren’t burnt at all, so I don’t really know what happened with mine.

Odies pizza is the best pizza I’ve had in Oceanside. The pizza came out very quickly and the “undercarriage” was immaculate. Very crispy and great wood fired flavor. I had the biggie smalls and will be back for sure. Great vibes too and awesome people- the $3 soft serve is great too!! You should check this place out; a true gem in downtown!

Google
We tried Odie's largely due to the fact that there are vegan options. As someone who loves pizza but can't have dairy anymore, I have been on the hunt for places with a quality pizza that can substitute vegan cheese. Odie's is by far the best alternative I have found to date. I got the 14" (squared) with extra real pepperoni and mushroom. I think the square thicker dough helps in the masking of what is usually creamy vegan cheese. And there's vegan ranch, that actually tastes good!! 10/10
google avatar

Alyssa J.

Yelp
Loved the delicious sourdough crust and really appreciated the vegan options! The vegan cheese they use is delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the restaurant can get pretty loud with the high ceilings, busy crowd, and music. I can't wait to come try some other vegan pizzas and even wings!!

Yelp
So for starters let me say not being able to make a phone order or online order at this point has to be a joke. I understand being busy but get with it. So I decided sure I'll head down there and scoop a pie up. Boy was I wrong. Got in line with two people in front of me to wait just about 15 minutes because the staff looked to be running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Just to get up front and ask how long will it take for a to go for them to respond with probably an hour. I'm sorry but no thanks. Just so happened to see a friend having some pizza so went over to hang out with him for a quick chat. He offered a slice which of course I obliged being a pizza connoisseur I never turned down a pizza slice. Apparently it was their pesto option, and after trying it frankly I'm glad I didn't wait because what a disappointment. Not only is this place overpacked because of its size they apparently tell nobody that they're busy and have no room at this point. So you're literally sitting side-by-side rubbing elbows with people. So in good conscience no the ambience of this place in my opinion is not worth it especially having no out of restaurant ordering options. Which mine you I still can't believe is not an option at this point. So no, I can't recommend this place right now in good conscience. Not only was the slice of pizza I had subpar at best they still can't figure out how to keep that place running efficiently having been open for well over a month now. While this whole experience has left a sour taste in my mouth I'll check back in a few months and hopefully they got it figured out by then because frankly, it's ridiculous.

Yelp
I just got back from Italy and this is the only pizza that is comparable to that. The quality is great, grandma style has a nice crust that I had never tried before. The cheese was very flavorful and the hot honey on top gave it a nice touch. I also learned the owner, Odie, is from Buffalo so I got the Buffalo wings and they were hands down the best I've ever had. Very crispy and saucy. Don't sleep on these when you go

Yelp
Friendly service upon entering the establishment. Greeted with a hello and smile. Its busy here but this is a good thing as they have just opened not to long ago so they are the new buzz in town. It's a great location near the beach and hotels. The ambiance is open and very chill. It has a bar at the counter as they serve brew. It has a garage let up window " a new style where the inside dinning opens to the patio combined. It's really nice so even if you're inside you still get the nice breeze from the outside. I ordered the NY style Harvest Moon which is a veggie pizza with shredded chicken added. The prices are moderate but what sets them apart is that they use organic unbleached and unenriched flour for "all" their pizzas which is awesome as it's gut friendly. I initially ordered this pizza Grandma style which is like deep dish but they ran out of the dough. So memo to yourself to come early to get the GM style as once sold out you have to get the NY style. The NY style is pizza oven cooked as you can see the charr on the crust. It was light crispy edges and chewy at the same time. It was really good wish they had added more shredded chicken and pizza sauce but for what it was it was ok. It wasn't bad it just would have hit hit if it were more to it. A family of 4 can get two slices of a NY pizza which is ok and we paired this with a Cesar salad with the dressing which was really good. They only have pork and shredded chicken to top pizza but I would have like to have beef as an option. They do have chicken wings, chicken tenders but it was 6 wings for 12.99 and tenders were about the same. I wasn't in the mood for wings but I would def try them the next visit. I think the service was awesome and the pizza was good for the most part. A 16" inch pizza and large salad was about 42 bucks for us. I think the service made up for what it lacked. I do recommend eating here as those who like pepperoni pizza may not be disappoint as they pile those on a pizza so much that I saw people taking them off not because they weren't good but because that's how loaded it was. I just wish my chicken was at least close to that... as seen below you can't even see my chicken. Give them a try if you're in Oceanside.

Yelp
I ordered The Bennie and the jets and cowboy Dan style. I was excited to trying this new place but pizzas came out really burned. A bit disappointed

Yelp
Heard about odies a couple weeks ago when it opened in Oceanside and it was definitely on my list to try. I planned to put a big order in for Father's Day but management responded back that they were only taking orders in person because of the demand. No problem as we showed up right as they opened at 11am sharp ! We ordered 2 grandma style pizzas (biggie smalls, harvest moon) 1 New York style (viktor vaughn), 6 piece buffalo wing, 1 chopped salad, 2 Caesar salads, 2 pizza pockets to take home. As we were waiting for our order the crowd started to form and 20 minutes in the seating was mostly taken and line half way to the door. I'd say there is seating for 30-40 people with a little seating outside with a view of downtown mission av. Everything made it home hot and fresh. The pizzas were bigger than I thought and were outstanding. My favorites were the harvest moon ( so good ) and the viktor vaughn. The chopped salad and wings were great too. The pizza pockets were so-so Plan to be back for the dine in experience soon. Take out was also a great experience being very busy to start as others had even bigger orders than mine to go too.

Yelp
Food was good. I just got a slice so definitely look forward to coming back to get a full fresh pizza. Normal price for beer is $6.00 which is so crazy good, and they have my favorite hazy so even better. Happy hour daily on beer, $2.00 off each beer. Brit was a great help with what to order and answering all my questions. They have a great lunch special ( see my menu post). This is my first time but talked to a gal eh comes here a lot and says they love it and says the wings are good

Yelp
I love sourdough and and I love pizza, so I had to try this place! I came around dinner time thinking I would just get a slice, but they only serve slices up to 3pm. That's okay, I can have leftovers! I ended up getting the Dude Ranch. This pie has bbq sauce, aged mozzarella, smoked cheddar, red onion, shredded chicken, bacon, ranch, and cilantro. OMG! Sooo good! Definitely want to come back to try the other flavors! So, if you're in the area, check it out!
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
Came in on a Tuesday afternoon to grab a slice. FYI they stop selling individual slices after 3PM which is a little unfortunate because their happy hour is 3-5PM offering $2 off beers. Beach town parking. Store was about 50% full. Offers many alcoholic drink choices, but 2 of the fountain drinks options were out of service already. The inside wasn't too loud. Food - Dude Ranch: Definitely one of the better slices of pizza I've had. The fresh cilantro is so refreshing. Service - Can't say too much since I ordered take out. Seems like workers overall are still learning through "soft opening" mistakes which is understandable so please be patient. My friend and I ordered a slice each and when we received them, they were missing a couple toppings aka the finishing touches (cilantro, ranch, honey, etc) so do a check before you leave.

Yelp
The family decided to go out this weekend to drive up the coast. So we stopped through Oceanside which is a beautiful place all year around. We were looking for a place to sit down to eat and ran across Odie's pizza. This was our first time going and I love the ambiance. It gave me the "Saved by the Bell" restaurant "The Max" vibe, but with an open bar/ beer . The staff was very helpful with the menu. I wish they had more to offer on the meat side since we don't eat pork. They do have a opinions for vegan style pizza, wings, salads. We decided to go with the large veggie style pizza ( I forgot the exact name of the pizza, sorry) with shredded chicken and a large Caesar salad. The price wasn't crazy high, but with a family of four it didn't break the bank. The overall taste of the food was good. In my opinion it needed some salt, but still a great pizza! I highly recommend this place for a late night snack or visitors passing through Oceanside.

Yelp
Pretty good pizza with lots of potential. Odie's is still pretty new and still working out the kinks. It was a busy weekend dinner rush, and the space was overcrowded with the line out the door. Part of the reason for the long line is the slow service at the register. They only had one of the two registers open, and the cashier wasn't knowledgeable about the menu. The people in front of us took forever because she had trouble answering their multiple questions. The bar was sparsely manned and they took a long time to pour our beer. Saw them walking around with beers calling names and not finding people easily. It would've been much better if they stayed at the bar and poured it when we paid at the register. Our pizza took a long time to come out too, and people were hovering over tables as we ate because seating was at capacity. All in all, not the best experience, but I think it will improve. They have a busy corner in the heart of downtown Oceanside, so they'll definitely get plenty of business. Looking forward to coming back after they've had a chance to get the flow down better.
google avatar

Noah K.

Yelp
Some friends of mine went here a few weeks ago and told me that I had to come here, so I did. Odie's did not disappoint. The atmosphere is pretty casual and there is a good variety of pizza options. We ended up going with the Benny and the Jets grandma style. It is counter service and it was busy on a Friday night so it took a few minutes to find a table. The pizza took about 20 minutes to arrive from the time we ordered, not bad for a busy Friday night. The pizza was amazing. It was a tasty pizza that didn't feel over the top. They have a sourdough pizza dough which had its own flavor, but didn't overwhelm the flavor of the toppings. Definitely have to come back and check out more pizzas and their happy hour!
google avatar

Yelp
Great Pizza! Tasty, delicious and really good ranch dressing as well! Now I see why their only flaw is running out of things.
google avatar

Dezi L.

Yelp
A Must-Try Spot in Oceanside! Tried Odie's Pizza and was seriously impressed! I had the Dude Ranch pizza and hot wings--both were absolutely delicious. The pizza was packed with flavor and their house-made ranch ties it all together perfectly. But the real star? The wings. Easily some of the best I've had--meaty, saucy, just the right amount of heat, and zero skimping on quality. That ranch dip? Next level. If you're in Oceanside, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Came here Friday around 5pm and It was pretty busy! They just opened Thursday so to be expected. I did walk by Thursday as well and It was very busy so decided to try again the next day. They have inside and patio seating. You order at the register, so It went by quickly. They have a menu for on tap drinks so you can have a drink while you wait. Sarah was very helpful on making recommendations. The crust was tasty, I love sourdough in any form They have $2 off drinks 3-5pm and also had slices sold until 5 pm. The pizza was a good size and I enjoyed It. I think next time I have a beach day I will grab a pizza to go on the way. Yum!
google avatar

Brittany A.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Their variety of pizza options is great and the crust is *chefs kiss*. My son who has autism and is very particular about food LOVES this pizza and often tries to steal his sisters. My daughter Odette, who we call Odie, now thinks this is her pizza shop and requests to come in for pizza daily. Y'all have some loyal customers.
google avatar

Yelp
Finally able to check out the new pizza place, Odie's. Nice and bright when you first walk in. The went with a red and white theme. They had all the doors open so there was a serious breeze flowing through. Should have brought a jacket. Menus are at the door, so make sure you grab one. You might find one at the counter but when I went to order, there wasn't one. Large selection of beer. That menus was on the wall. And the lunch special was right there at the register. They had slices of pizza that were available. Since there were new, was sure what to go with. Ended up getting a slice of Cowboy Dan. This was with pesto sauce so we were curious. Actually really liked this. We also ordered a Biggies Small grandma style (squared). This was made with vodka sauce. Very tasty. And the sausage was really good. The crust was crispy. They have an area where you get your own paper plates and plastic wear. A little confusion in bring out the orders. We got the slice of pizza within 5 minutes. Thirty five minutes later we're got the whole pizza. So basically the whole pizza took 50 minutes. A tad long to wait but this place is very new and I'm sure they are still working out the bugs. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Jonathan B.

Yelp
I ordered a pepperoni and jalapeño pizza with an order of buffalo wings. The dough is unique and presents a good flavor with the sauce I do wish it was thicker though. The wings were crisp and the buffalo sauce was delicious. My only issue was the staff didn't know if they should tend the cashier or help the bar and they had two people at the to go orders which seemed excessive compared to the line of people waiting to be served.
google avatar

Penelope P.

Yelp
Extremely overrated pizza. They call it "pie" and every time some place calls it a pie, it's not even close to Italian anymore. It was a 55 minute wait for a 10 inch basic pizza and they for my friends order wrong. They then told her she would have to pay again for remaking her pizza when they got it wrong. The place was crammed with people, it was very loud, and there was nowhere to sit. I have had better at Little Ceasers pizza.
google avatar

Kiana F.

Yelp
We went to try Odie's pizza after seeing an Instagram ad, and I can safely say this is the BEST pizza we've had in the north county area. It was busy due to just opening but worth she short wait it entailed. We ordered a NY style Dude Ranch pizza with no onions and it was packed with flavor. The ranch definitely made the pizza. We were so glad to have made the choice of a full pizza vs. just a few slices. They advertise the sourdough crust in which I am not a sourdough fanatic but the crust was definitely delicious. We will definitely be back to try the other flavor combinations. They offer gluten free options if you are GF. It's in a great location in downtown Oceanside where you can just park at the transit center and walk. There was plenty of seating. The workers were very attentive and friendly even though it was packed.

Yelp
I was excited to try this new spot with a friend that had been here once before for lunch! We arrived for dinner on a Saturday night at 7pm and to no surprise, at this time during the summer, it was packed. We waited about 15 minutes in line to order at the counter and then attempted to find a place to sit. Apparently we made the mistake of not snagging one while in line, because every spot was taken (small space, crowded) and a few others who hadn't ordered yet took tables. Our Caesar salad came out before we sat, so we awkwardly continued to look until a very nice couple offered to have us join them at their 4-top. The grandma-style (deep dish) was out so we ordered the New York style of Benny and the Jets. It took about 40 minutes to come out but was soooo good! I'd love to come back when it's not so busy and try the grandma style. They're doing something right, I hope this place sticks around longer than the last businesses in this space!

Yelp
The sourdough crust is SO good it deserves a standing ovation. Tons of vegetarian options, which made my little veggie-loving heart do a happy dance. We got lots of slices to try, the one that blew me away which was so simple was the Rebel Rebel cheese pizza, grandma style, and I'm still thinking about that crispy, cheesy crust situation. But all of our slices were 10/10! Their pesto is nut-free (!!!) and is packed full of delicious flavor. we also tried the cheese pizza pocket with their house-made red sauce, and I swear I blacked out for a second, it was so good. I'm a weirdo with parking and Odie's is in a perfect spot, huge free parking structure a black away, another one in the building, and tons of street parking. Zero stress, just pizza joy. Prices are fantastic too!! Run, don't walk. Grab a slice, grab five. Your mouth and belly will thank you.

Yelp
We were so excited to try this new pizza place in Oceanside and we did not get disappointed. We stopped by after 7pm and were so busy. We waited about 40-45 minutes. They have a nice selection of beers. Service was attentive and we love all the skateboards and vibe. We try the chicken wings and coupe pizzas, Benny and jets is our favorite. The pizza dough is delicious we can't wait to eat there again.

Yelp
This pizza will make your mouth cum. If you like that then this is the place to go! The duderanch pizza is a sexual experience.
google avatar

Sam E.

Yelp
Enjoyed a slice of Sourdough New York style pizza;-) Flavors pop. Fresh ingredients. Quick lunch service. Plenty of indoor/outdoor spots for dine in. Will return to try the 'Square Grandma" pie;-) and soft serve with jimmies;-)
google avatar

Kokoa L.

Yelp
The ambiance is super cute, pizza is absolutely delicious! Hot, fresh and super yummy ingredients BUT the Cesar salad was terrible. It literally tasted like water. Not sure if that was because the Lettuce was frozen or not but my daughter and I love Cesar salads. We order them almost everywhere we go so we kinda consider ourselves experts on Cesar salads and this one gets zero stars. Will still definitely return...for the pizza!
google avatar

Geoff L.

Yelp
Let me give you a description of how good this place is...we were delivered our pizza as we sat on a street-facing bar, and the amount of passers-by that stopped and stared at this pizza as we ate away was COMICAL. With mouths full of delicious pizza, as people tried to engage us and ask how it was, all we could do was nod aggressively with wide eyes of approval. Go for the pizzas, and be forewarned- don't be surprised if people stop and ask how it is. Don't worry, you don't have to say anything back, just be patient and nod.

Mi M.

Yelp
Too burnt It was decent but almost an hour wait, so we chilled at the Lab across the street until it was ready. Crust and bottom were burnt. Of the 5 of us I was the only one who ate the crust.
google avatar

Harrison T.

Yelp
Hands down the BEST pizza I've ever had. From the first bite, I knew Odie's was something special. The crust is perfectly crisp, the ingredients are super fresh, and the flavor combos are out of this world. Add in the friendly service and awesome Oceanside vibe--this place is a 10/10. Can't wait to come back and try every pizza on the menu!
google avatar

Tiffany-Joy M.

Yelp
Pizza was so delicious, the dough is amazing, the red sauce was so fresh tasting, fun location and ambiance. Only reason I docked a star (I'd only do half if could) is not enough seating for how busy they were. We also wished they offered more size options, not an awful thing, just it would be nice to get more personal size pizza besides the gf option. Next time we visit Oceanside we will be back though!
google avatar

Lavynder H.

Yelp
TODDLER APPROVED!!! My toddler can be moody to go out to eat so I often get takeout & head to the park. The vibe was awesome, cool decor, and nice fenced in with a big open concept. My child at the end of the meal looked at me and said "It [the piza] makes her feel better" . The customer service was smiley and attentive, the chef come out to confirm the customization we requested. Everything was delicious and so is the dessert! Thank you, Oceanside!
google avatar

Christine D.

Yelp
Great pizza! The crust was crisp and flavorful. We had the vegetarian pizza, Harvest Moon and it was so good! Fun eating on the patio people watching. We will be back.
google avatar

Andrew K.

Yelp
$10 lunch special! I haven't seen a $10 lunch in years at this point. Pizza is sourdough and salad dressings are olive oil based.= a guilt free pizza and salad experience for a great price. People are normal and nice, not weird at all. I will be back often. They will crush it this summer. Lines around the corner
google avatar

Olivia E.

Yelp
Love that this place is popping with folks visiting the downtown. Pizza is delish and the employees are so friendly and chill. A fantastic addition to the downtown. I'll just need to figure out how to get my slices in while also getting my Craft Coast tacos too. Yum!
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
The sourdough pizza is great, and the lines are shorter than the opening weeks, but would it be too much to ask that you don't sell out of the Grandma's style pizza every day by 4pm? I mean if your people tell us this is the case, maybe plan to have more on hand?

Yelp
Sourdough crust! Pies and slices! Craft beer! Soft serve ice cream! Friendly staff! Diverse crowd! Convenient location for watching life roll by!

EVERY. STAR. POSSIBLE. We love great pizza and we're pretty picky about what's great and what's "just good". This pizza hit all the marks. The crust isn't overly sour like you might be expecting from a sourdough, but it had a mild tang. The crust was airy, soft, and perfectly crispy on the top and bottom. We tried several different pies and all of them were well balanced and delicious. All of the ingredients taste fresh - especially the basil. Go for the grandma style crust if you want that extra crunch of crispy edges. We live in La Mesa, but we will definitely be bringing friends back here. I'm only sad that it's going to be so busy next time we go, because this place is going to be so popular!

Yelp
The experience we had today was truly frustrating. We arrived before 3pm specifically to order from the lunch specials. Unfortunately, the couple in front of us took an unusually long time to order. Lots of back-and-forth, endless questions, and indecision. We patiently waited our turn, clearly standing in line before the lunch special cutoff time. By the time we finally got to the counter (a few minutes after 3pm), we were told the lunch specials were no longer available even though staff clearly saw us waiting. There was zero flexibility or acknowledgment of the situation. So paid the full price. And just when we thought it couldn't get worse, the pizza we received was burnt! I'm extremely disappointed not just in the food quality but in the way we were treated. No apology, no effort to make it right, nothing. Do yourself a favor and walk a block over to Pier Pizza for better prices, better pizza, and actual customer service. Won't be coming back here.

Yelp
Busy... hard to get seating... burnt crust... if you like New York style pizza then you will like this place. Staff could be better.

Yelp
My new favorite pizza. We had the rebel rebel grandma style and it did not disappoint. Wait time was short and ambiance laid back.

Yelp
Good pizza if you want to wait over an hour for it. They get busy and I saw more burnt pizzas than not for takeout.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal. The crust is amazing, the toppings are delicious, everything about this pizza is great. The employees are chill and it's a cool spot. I think of all the places that have been in this location, this one will definitely survive. Highly recommend and so excited they finally opened!!

Yelp
The food is AMAZING, friendly staff, lots of beers on tap, fun vibe, and arguably the best ranch I've ever tasted. Seriously, no notes, this place is legit. We are so stoked to have Odie's in the neighborhood!

Yelp
Super Clean, Great staff, Center of all the action in Downtown Oceanside. Pizza was good, and the wings were great. They ran out of the grandma style which was frustrating, also it takes about 40 minutes after you order to get your food. Wish the were a little bit faster cooking the pies.

Yelp
Finally a local spot with a chewy gluten free crust :) Great flavor in all the ingredients
