The Best New Restaurants in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"A new sourdough-crust-slinging pizzeria has swung into Oceanside, where it offers an array of inventive topping combinations on its 48-hour-fermented dough. Try the Biggie Smalls as a traditional round pie with vodka sauce, fresh and aged mozzarella, sausage, and shaved Parmesan, or the Cowboy Dan, which can be made grandma-style with pesto, aged mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, and zig-zags of hot honey. Starters like pizza pockets (golden dough balls filled with mozzarella, marinara, and pepperoni); glazed chicken wings, vegan wings, and chicken tenders; salads; and vegetable crudite round out the savory side of the menu; for dessert, try the Root Beer Fl-Odie, which is exactly what you would imagine." - Helen I. Hot San Diego Restaurant Openings You May Have Missed, June 2025 | Eater San Diego

"A new sourdough pizzeria two blocks from the Oceanside Pier that features chewy, crispy crusts fermented for 48 hours using a 25-year-old starter acquired from an acclaimed Portland pizzeria. The owner, who previously ran a Detroit-style vegan pop-up in Portland, uses organic Pacific Northwest flour and names pies after song titles; standouts include a barbecue shredded chicken pie with ranch and cilantro (Dude Ranch) and an EVOO-based pie topped with whipped burrata and hot honey (Benny and the Jets). All pies can be made vegan or gluten-free, and the founder plans to open additional locations in the region." - Helen I. Hwang

Odie's Pizza Co is Oceanside's newest pizza spot and it's a real gem for the community. This small-owned pizza shop is located near the heart of downtown Oceanside, just 2 blocks away from the ocean. Odie's Pizza Co. offers a new twist to the pizza scene and delivers delicious sourdough crust and sporting over 20 adult beverages on tap. They also carry a few delicious hard seltzers. Their house-made ranch and dill goes perfectly with their sourdough crust, which has known to be easier on our digestive system than typical flour dough. This place is very popular and one of the downsides is that there can often be a line coming out the door. But they do have lunch specials with great pricing and their service is spectacular. One advantage is that they also serve pizza by the slice, which is perfect to pick up and go take a walk to the pier nearby. They also serve delicious chicken wings with a very addictive sauce. There is even a vegan dough option for their pizza and vegan chicken wings. Another downside, which is not of their fault, is that parking in the downtown area is extremely limited. Overall, Odie's pizza is still a great addition to the downtown Oceanside food scene and I highly recommend them!

Ordered the Good Good Things pizza for takeout. Was expecting much crispier and well done as compared to what I got. Ordered online and it was ready in just 12 minutes- maybe part of the issue…? While the dough was good, it seemed the crust covered 25%+ of the pie. May give it another try, but round one definitely fell short of expectations.

Man, I was hoping for so much more. I watched them building this place with high anticipation. I ordered two slices, two different kinds. Both crusts were soft, gummy texture with little to no crunch. I hate leaving a review like this because I’m sure they put a lot of money into this build. The place was crowded and to their defense they seemed a little overwhelmed, but I have to call a spade a spade. So much room needed for improvement. Maybe it was an off day because they have signs on the door that read no slices sold after 3PM, only whole pizzas. Best of luck.

I went sunday after attending padres game. Decided to celebrate win with Sister . We where craving pizza wings and beer . Beer on tap choice are good . Service was friendly and nice. Ordered sat down outside it was pretty bussy so we watched low riders and people walk by while we sipped on our 🍺 beer. My sister had a fly land on her beer and fall in she brought it up to staff and they kindly and quickly provided another beer a t no charge. The food was so yummy the wings where tastefully and pizza was very yummy definitely coming back again soon.

When it opened, Odie’s was our *favorite* pizza in north county. The grandma style was like nothing else - super fluffy, crispy cheesy edges, just perfect. I don’t know what changed, but the grandma style hasn’t been the same the last two times we’ve been and is really disappointing. The crust is now super thin and crunchy like a cracker. Would be 5 stars if the grandma style came back to what it used to be

Google
I had a fair amount of expectations walking in given the hype built around the shop and super happy to say that it ALL deserved! Odie and his team have found something special. The pizzas - I found - are super delicious, their beer selection is great (shoutout to the Odie Lager), and space is gorgeous. Always a fan of grabbing food to go and hanging at the beach and think I found a new staple, yeww!

Google
Review of the vegan options, grandma style. Definitely better than most vegan options of pizza in North County but not what I'd consider AMAZING. Grandma style crust isn't something you see often so it's fun to give it a try. Enjoyed that it's sourdough, too. Be prepared to wait, or just call in an order. When we ordered the line wasn't terrible but we waited at least 30 minutes and during that time the line grew out the door and stayed steady on a Wednesday evening.

Stop Update: I came here for a second time expecting the same great experience and food and was sadly disappointed. I used to manage restaurants, so to me, the details and small things really matter for customers' experiences. We came to an overly loud space and ordered 3 different slices (cheese, the evoo slice, and a BBQ chicken) of pizza since they were out of the Cowboy Dan. We were so excited to get our pizza, but when it arrived, all the slices were burnt. I then looked up to see if it was just ours because we ordered slices, but it wasn't every single pie that came out burnt. Honestly, I would be pissed if I ordered a $23+ pie, and it came out burnt. Bad reviews coming from many is my guess. That said, I proceeded to taste it, and all I could taste was a burnt flavor. Not good. I got up after I ate ate to mention to someone working, I told him I came on my birthday and the pizza was amazing, but today it's not good, everybodys pizza looks burnt. He proceeded to say "yeah sorry we're having problems with our ovens." I thought well thanks for sharing, but that's your resolution. I'm not sure if he was a manager or employee, but I thought there were a million other ways to solve a problem like that. First things first. Get someone into fixing the oven stat (even if it's Friday), or close the doors. Or offer us to come back another time on you guys. Anyways, it got knocked a star for that. Past experience: This place is epic. They have yummy everything. And it's dangerously good. The full and bloated feeling you get from normal pizza isn't present here. The sourdough pie is the only way to go. Plus, the owner is super laid back, friendly, and approachable. A hotspot for sure, and many have already learned about this spot l, and will continue to. A+++++++++ all across the board. The best pizza is the Benny and the Jets, though. And epic pie!! It's probably the best pizza I've ever had. It was a nice surprise for my 40th birthday celebration. I hope they will consider making that available in slice form. I'd be here all the time for that. Thank you for great care, food, and a good time.

Yelp
Pizza was great! Service was outstanding! Ask for Charlie!!! We'd definitely go back.

Yelp
The pizza is so good. I have yet to snag an elusive granny style, but I will keep persisting. Nice selection of beers. There's only one order line, but if you are enjoying your pizza and would like a second beer you can order at the bar usually. The staff is always really friendly. The lay out can be a bit cramped so I only order to go if I'm bringing my baby. Would not recommend for shy dogs.

Yelp
Good great, good location. Service is "no" oriented. Can you just charge me and add pepperoni to half the pizza? The lack of modification options is tough... There are a few low top tables, 4 high top and a bunch of single bar type seats. The pizza display is down on the floor blocked by the line which makes everything take longer. The wedge salad is good. Wish they offered it with the lunch special for an extra charge.

Yelp
When I saw this place open about six months ago, I was excited to try it. Since then I have been reading great reviews about it all over the place. Being from the Bay Area originally, I was excited because of the sourdough crust. I love anything sourdough. Recently, a friend of mine is renting a place just above the beach, not too far away and invited me to visit. There are so many places up-and-coming in that area, but I knew I wanted to try Odie's. It was just a short walk away an upon arriving. It was very busy. The decor is very skate friendly with skateboards on the wall and radical tiled on the floor. It's a big open space with a rollup door so you can sit outside. After perusing the menu, we decided on the pepperoni pizza and a root beer float. We ordered and waited to find a seat because there weren't any at the time. As we waited, a group got up to leave so we took their spot. Within minutes, the staff was there cleaning the table for us. We got our root beer float first so we were happily sipping on that. The pizza itself did not take that long when it was delivered. I asked if I could have a side of hot honey, which is my preference on pizza. The staff member cheerily agreed and brought it back quickly. At first bite, it was delicious. I added some of the hot honey and my friend added red chili flakes. I did try it without the hot honey and it did have a little bit of a kick to it which I did not hate. The crust was perfectly cooked. I could taste the sourdough. It wasn't soggy at all like most places. It definitely kept a crunch to it all throughout the pizza. I wish pepperoni didn't leave so much grease but that's not their fault. We couldn't finish the pizza so we took a few slices that we had left to go. The next day we had it for lunch and it was just as good. I'll definitely come back and try some of the other flavors. I like that they aren't just standard boring flavors they're different. I understand why it's so popular. Great service, delicious pizza, and a wide variety of choices!

Yelp
SOUR DOUGH PIES (4.5 stars) ... Radical Vibes!!! - FOOD: good - PRICE: ok - SERVICE: good - AMBIANCE: smaller for its popular corner location The simple way to my to my heart... beach, chasing sunsets, and a slice of pizza! This is one block from the beach/pier area so there can be slot of foot traffic. On week days they have lunch specials but not on weekends. HARVEST MOON ($6.17) - red sauce, mozzarella, mushroom, olives, bell pepper, red onion. The crust, never had sour dough pizza crust before and it's similar to normal dough but more subtle in the sour. Had a nice chew and crunch for a thin slice. The toppings were fresh and a good ratio of each. RECOMMEND I wish there were more selection of single slices. There were very few and this one sounded the best. Their pies offer a lot more selections. It's order at the counter and have a seat until the food is delivered. They have 2 bathrooms and the code is #0802. The toilets were very dirty with poo squirt marks on the rim but the bathroom itself was ok for public restrooms. I don't think I'll use their bathroom again and would rather home it. Until the next review...

Yelp
GI had been really excited to try this spot after hearing so many great things, and overall I enjoyed the experience! The presentation of the pizza was beautiful, and the flavors were good. It was a little softer than I expected, but I could tell they were working hard to keep up with the busy Sunday crowd. The staff was friendly, and although service felt a little rushed at times, I completely understand since it was such a high-traffic day. I appreciated how clean and presentable everything was--the ambiance was nice, and the bathrooms were spotless, which I always notice and appreciate! I'd give it around a 3.8/5 for this visit. I think with a bit more crispness to the pizza and a touch more attentiveness from the staff, it would easily be a 5. I'll definitely be back to give them another try because I can see the potential and understand that everyone has those hectic days.

Yelp
TLDR: indoor outdoor feel in downtown Oceanside, sourdough New York-style pizza with chewy, flavorful crust and generous toppings, amazing homemade ranch, only downside: prepare for a 30-minute wait for the pizza to cook We ordered the 16" New York-style pizza (8 slices) with pepperoni and added pineapple, which was technically meant for 3-4 people, but my husband and I ended up finishing the whole thing ourselves. The sourdough crust was spot on: chewy, airy, and crisp around the edges. They're generous with the pepperoni, and the pineapple added just the right touch of sweetness and acidity to balance it out. The homemade ranch was amazing! It was creamy and full of flavor. Honestly, I could drink it. The undercarriage was a little limp (see photos), but still held up well enough to enjoy every bite. It's your typical casual counter service with a cozy, beach-town vibe that fits Oceanside perfectly. The only real downside was the wait. It took 30 minutes for the pizza to come out after we ordered. Downtown parking can also be tricky, but we got lucky with a free spot around the corner on a Saturday late afternoon.

Yelp
After a movie and sunset stroll by the Oceanside Pier, dinner was on my mind. I was open to anything tasty. When we walked passed Odie's, I was instantly drawn to it. It seemed semi-busy from the outside looking in. I loved the lighting, its clean appearance, and pizzas with fresh pizzazz. Yayyy, pizza night! Inside, the staff were super welcoming and efficient...counter-service was easy and quick when placing our orders....table service was on point...timing was just right. Our Cowboy Dan Pizza was sooo darn good...wanna say "Yeehaw!!". Odie's definitely pushed the boundaries with this signature pie. Thank you Odie's Pizza Co. for going over and beyond with your flavorful gut-friendly sourdough pies. Because of your "pizza made with purpose" moto, you've already made your mark in downtown Oceanside within 3.5 months. I'm now a huge fan and will be back to try the other yummy food options. Got something for everyone!!! I highly recommend this pizza spot to the Yelp Community :-D

Yelp
The pizza here is AWESOME. Been here twice in the last month and they knocked it out of the park both times. The Cowboy Dan is our favorite it's delicious. The service is friendly and the people are fast and really great! We like to eat there when the pizza is fresh out of the over and then go take a walk on the Oceanside pier after and do a little people watching lol Keep up the great work Odie's we will def be back soon!!

Yelp
Yo -- Captain 619 cruised into Odie's Pizza in Oceanside and grabbed a pie. Backside had a nice char -- exactly how I like it. Ambience was super cool, chilled SoCal vibes, but real talk: the place was swarming with flies. That's something they gotta fix. I asked for my pizza in a box to keep the bugs off -- not sharing my pie with those little freeloaders. Flavor-wise it was solid but not standout. We were hunting for that unique aged-sourdough tang and I didn't really taste it. Overall a clean 3/5 -- decent spot, just needs to handle the fly situation and let that sourdough character shine.

Yelp
E V E R Y T H I N G!! It was amazing from The location, service, ambiance, and the food!! The pizza was out of this world. The fact that it's sourdough is icing on the cake! Made it taste that much more better. I believe Sarah was at the register taking orders, she was delightfully kind, big smile, very welcoming and hard working. They were short staffed and there was a bit of a wait but she put us at ease. The servers were very polite and kind let us have a pitcher of water. We came with our five daughters this past Friday night and will definitely be coming back. We ordered 3 pizzas NY style: Benny and the Jets, Biggie Smalls and Cowboy Dan. The best one was Benny and the Jets. But we devoured all three. We all got some ice cream cones as well. The whole experience was 10/10!
google avatar

Yelp
The line was long on Sunday afternoon.... We walked around Oceanside about an hour and came back.. walked right up & ordered.... veggie pizza... no grandmas style today.... just thin pizza.... we ordered it to go.... Two large screen TV's Padres game.... Parking is a real struggle in Oceanside especially weekends....
google avatar

Ana N.

Yelp
I came here on the weekend and the food was great. We had pizza and wings. The only issue was the sitting, which after a while we did find seats and the extra honey on the pizza. It was but too overpowering. Would I come back? Yes, customer service was great and bathrooms were clean.
google avatar

Yelp
Odie's Pizza Co is an amazing new pizza spot in Downtown Oceanside! They serve high quality pizza with several gluten free and vegan options. I loved their "Welcome to Paradise" slice because of their crispy, cupped pepperoni. I also enjoyed the "Biggie Smalls." I'd never had a pizza with vodka sauce, and it worked really well here! We came for happy hour and got a good deal on drinks, too. I'll be back to try more slices!
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly service upon entering the establishment. Greeted with a hello and smile. Its busy here but this is a good thing as they have just opened not to long ago so they are the new buzz in town. It's a great location near the beach and hotels. The ambiance is open and very chill. It has a bar at the counter as they serve brew. It has a garage let up window " a new style where the inside dinning opens to the patio combined. It's really nice so even if you're inside you still get the nice breeze from the outside. I ordered the NY style Harvest Moon which is a veggie pizza with shredded chicken added. The prices are moderate but what sets them apart is that they use organic unbleached and unenriched flour for "all" their pizzas which is awesome as it's gut friendly. I initially ordered this pizza Grandma style which is like deep dish but they ran out of the dough. So memo to yourself to come early to get the GM style as once sold out you have to get the NY style. The NY style is pizza oven cooked as you can see the charr on the crust. It was light crispy edges and chewy at the same time. It was really good wish they had added more shredded chicken and pizza sauce but for what it was it was ok. It wasn't bad it just would have hit hit if it were more to it. A family of 4 can get two slices of a NY pizza which is ok and we paired this with a Cesar salad with the dressing which was really good. They only have pork and shredded chicken to top pizza but I would have like to have beef as an option. They do have chicken wings, chicken tenders but it was 6 wings for 12.99 and tenders were about the same. I wasn't in the mood for wings but I would def try them the next visit. I think the service was awesome and the pizza was good for the most part. A 16" inch pizza and large salad was about 42 bucks for us. I think the service made up for what it lacked. I do recommend eating here as those who like pepperoni pizza may not be disappoint as they pile those on a pizza so much that I saw people taking them off not because they weren't good but because that's how loaded it was. I just wish my chicken was at least close to that... as seen below you can't even see my chicken. Give them a try if you're in Oceanside.

Parker D.

Yelp
When Odie's hit the news it was coming to north County the excitement in our house was unmatched. My girlfriend has celiacs and it is always limited on finding GF pizza. The non GF and GF pizza were freaking phenomenal. By far our favorite pizza spot. Something about the sourdough crust is amazing! We have sat inside and loved the customer service along with the beer selection on tap. Additionally, we recently tried the wings... and GF! If you have celiac you know it is difficult to find chicken wings GF. Knowing this is a pizza joint... the wing are absolutely phenomenal!
google avatar

Gina L.

Yelp
Oceanside got lucky when Odies came to make this their home base!! Came in tonight after they had to shut down for a few hours. They opened the doors at 6 and a big line of people came in and placed their orders. Before I knew it all of the tables were full. I definitely expected Chaos and long wait times due to the large amount of orders that had come in at once. Well...they somehow executed everyone's orders with ease and in a perfect timely manor. I haven't had their normal crust yet but the gluten free is sooo good. My kids loved the cheese pizza and ice cream! I can't wait to go back! They also offer good glasses of wine and a lot of beer options!!!!
google avatar

Mikey S.

Yelp
Ordered for delivery to my hotel. Got a Cowboy Dan. It had mozz and aged mozz, cupped pepperoni, sausage, hot honey, and pesto. The sourdough crust had a nice flavor; be prepared to chew when you get to the end pieces. I got some of their dill ranch to dip the crust, and that was delicious. Toppings had a good flavor, too. I'd give it 4 stars because of the chew and the crust isn't crispy; but the flavor is there.

Yelp
Grandma style pies are my new favorite! Awesome pizza, better staff! Y'all are great!

Yelp
Heard about odies a couple weeks ago when it opened in Oceanside and it was definitely on my list to try. I planned to put a big order in for Father's Day but management responded back that they were only taking orders in person because of the demand. No problem as we showed up right as they opened at 11am sharp ! We ordered 2 grandma style pizzas (biggie smalls, harvest moon) 1 New York style (viktor vaughn), 6 piece buffalo wing, 1 chopped salad, 2 Caesar salads, 2 pizza pockets to take home. As we were waiting for our order the crowd started to form and 20 minutes in the seating was mostly taken and line half way to the door. I'd say there is seating for 30-40 people with a little seating outside with a view of downtown mission av. Everything made it home hot and fresh. The pizzas were bigger than I thought and were outstanding. My favorites were the harvest moon ( so good ) and the viktor vaughn. The chopped salad and wings were great too. The pizza pockets were so-so Plan to be back for the dine in experience soon. Take out was also a great experience being very busy to start as others had even bigger orders than mine to go too.
google avatar

Roz E.

Yelp
I love sourdough and and I love pizza, so I had to try this place! I came around dinner time thinking I would just get a slice, but they only serve slices up to 3pm. That's okay, I can have leftovers! I ended up getting the Dude Ranch. This pie has bbq sauce, aged mozzarella, smoked cheddar, red onion, shredded chicken, bacon, ranch, and cilantro. OMG! Sooo good! Definitely want to come back to try the other flavors! So, if you're in the area, check it out!
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
Came in on a Tuesday afternoon to grab a slice. FYI they stop selling individual slices after 3PM which is a little unfortunate because their happy hour is 3-5PM offering $2 off beers. Beach town parking. Store was about 50% full. Offers many alcoholic drink choices, but 2 of the fountain drinks options were out of service already. The inside wasn't too loud. Food - Dude Ranch: Definitely one of the better slices of pizza I've had. The fresh cilantro is so refreshing. Service - Can't say too much since I ordered take out. Seems like workers overall are still learning through "soft opening" mistakes which is understandable so please be patient. My friend and I ordered a slice each and when we received them, they were missing a couple toppings aka the finishing touches (cilantro, ranch, honey, etc) so do a check before you leave.

Yelp
My wife and I had odies on our way to LA after leaving San Diego. We stopped by the water and decided to try a few spots before heading on back. We love pizza and Odies stuck out due to the open windows, bright colors, and expansive menu. We were immediately greeted, and our pizza was ready in under 20 minutes! The pizza was an amazing and we would definitely visit again!!!
google avatar

Kathy S.

Yelp
Was downtown today for farmer's market and on the way back to the car noticed no waiting at Odie's. Have been reading reviews and had been wanting to try. I was greeted as I walked in and one of the team was enthusiastic answering my questions and making recommendations. Decided to get the 2 slices and drink lunch special. He said the slices were massive, showing size with his hands. They were decent size, but wouldn't consider them extra large. Got a slice of Welcome to Paradise (pepperoni) and Dude Ranch (bbq chicken). Lots of pepperoni on the one, the other had one piece of chicken, guessing there was bacon but didn't remember tasting it. It was good, guess I'm not really a very think crust girl. Each slice came in a box, both could have easily fit in one. Nice addition to downtown.

Yelp
We had a great night at Odie's Pizza. The pizza is remarkable. Sourdough crust is absolutely delicious. Pizzas are cooked to perfection served piping hot. All of the staff at Odie's were very pleasant and helpful. A new bright spot to Oceanside. Odie's Pizza after a good day of surfing or Boogie boarding load up on some carbs at Odie's Pizza.

Yelp
This pizza was insanely good. I went here with some family that were visiting for a quick bite and we went 2 days in a row. I really liked the slice that I got and the sourdough crust was really good. It was really busy inside and they were playing South American little league baseball on the TVs which was funny. The service was friendly and fasts I know next time I'm craving pizza I'm going to think about here.
google avatar

Yelp
Ive been wanting to come here for a while now and today I finally had the chance! They have delicious pizza by the slice and great staff. It has a cute retro theme inside too!

Yelp
I really was excited to try this spot out as I love sourdough, and heard good things about it. Sadly, when I was finally able to make it over there, they only offered vegan/dairy free options as a whole pie. Now, while I kinda understand, it still was a big disappointment when as I really just wanted a slice or two. I get that it may seem like it's not a popular option, to offer vegan/dairy free single slices....but there are a lot of people who CAN'T dairy! With that said, this will not be a place for me sadly.
google avatar

Heather R.

Yelp
Pizza was good- they were out of gluten free (which i wouldn't order anyways-ha. And grandma, which we wanted to try) we came on a Sunday night and it was PACKED- like wait to order and wait to find a seat- it's summer and there's a lot of tourists- so it's to be expected. It's a small place. But has outdoor bar like seating. Pizza was definitely sourdough, wings had a nice flavor. Will try again when it's hopefully less busy and they have the grandma style pizza
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered The Bennie and the jets and cowboy Dan style. I was excited to trying this new place but pizzas came out really burned. A bit disappointed

Samantha H.

Yelp
We heard about Odie's and it lived up to the hype! Great menu, great beer, great service, great vibes, and best of all, great pizza. We tried the Granny style crust and it was so crispy and good. Can't wait to come back for the thin crust. Also, the merch here is sweet.

Yelp
Food was good. I just got a slice so definitely look forward to coming back to get a full fresh pizza. Normal price for beer is $6.00 which is so crazy good, and they have my favorite hazy so even better. Happy hour daily on beer, $2.00 off each beer. Brit was a great help with what to order and answering all my questions. They have a great lunch special ( see my menu post). This is my first time but talked to a gal eh comes here a lot and says they love it and says the wings are good

Yelp
The family decided to go out this weekend to drive up the coast. So we stopped through Oceanside which is a beautiful place all year around. We were looking for a place to sit down to eat and ran across Odie's pizza. This was our first time going and I love the ambiance. It gave me the "Saved by the Bell" restaurant "The Max" vibe, but with an open bar/ beer . The staff was very helpful with the menu. I wish they had more to offer on the meat side since we don't eat pork. They do have a opinions for vegan style pizza, wings, salads. We decided to go with the large veggie style pizza ( I forgot the exact name of the pizza, sorry) with shredded chicken and a large Caesar salad. The price wasn't crazy high, but with a family of four it didn't break the bank. The overall taste of the food was good. In my opinion it needed some salt, but still a great pizza! I highly recommend this place for a late night snack or visitors passing through Oceanside.

Yelp
Pretty good pizza with lots of potential. Odie's is still pretty new and still working out the kinks. It was a busy weekend dinner rush, and the space was overcrowded with the line out the door. Part of the reason for the long line is the slow service at the register. They only had one of the two registers open, and the cashier wasn't knowledgeable about the menu. The people in front of us took forever because she had trouble answering their multiple questions. The bar was sparsely manned and they took a long time to pour our beer. Saw them walking around with beers calling names and not finding people easily. It would've been much better if they stayed at the bar and poured it when we paid at the register. Our pizza took a long time to come out too, and people were hovering over tables as we ate because seating was at capacity. All in all, not the best experience, but I think it will improve. They have a busy corner in the heart of downtown Oceanside, so they'll definitely get plenty of business. Looking forward to coming back after they've had a chance to get the flow down better.

Yelp
Amazing pizza! We ordered the dude ranch pizza "grandmas style" -- seriously phenomenal. The wedge salad was also super good

Yelp
Sourdough pizza crust and delicious toppings! This is our new favorite place to go for pizza. Get it Grandma style and you won't be disappointed! Our favorite is the Biggie Smalls and their salads are good too! Service is excellent and they also have a large beer selection.

Yelp
odie's Pizza? More like shi**y Pizza. Pizza was terrible, cold, unseasoned and burned. I knew I should've went to domino's pizza instead which is down the block. Avoid the line and the nasty pizza. I do not recommend this place

Yelp
Loved the delicious sourdough crust and really appreciated the vegan options! The vegan cheese they use is delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the restaurant can get pretty loud with the high ceilings, busy crowd, and music. I can't wait to come try some other vegan pizzas and even wings!!

Yelp
I just got back from Italy and this is the only pizza that is comparable to that. The quality is great, grandma style has a nice crust that I had never tried before. The cheese was very flavorful and the hot honey on top gave it a nice touch. I also learned the owner, Odie, is from Buffalo so I got the Buffalo wings and they were hands down the best I've ever had. Very crispy and saucy. Don't sleep on these when you go

Yelp
This place seems to always be busy! The vodka sauce pizza is amazing! Great location a couple blocks from free parking. You can get pizza by the slice or a whole pie. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I wasn't sure about sourdough pizza crust, but I am now totally on board with it. I was really impressed by the Grandma style pizza. Plain cheese, or with toppings, either way it is absolutely delicious. I'm normally a thin crust, NY style person, but the flavor and texture of the dough is perfect. Their thin crust pizza is just as delicious, so either way you can't go wrong. We have been there several times, and for the most part, they are very consistent. We do request that they don't over cook the crust because I don't like the crust as much if it's charred or tough. The service is great and the line moves quickly. The place is small, but we haven't had any problems getting seats because tables open up at a decent pace.

Yelp
The sourdough crust here is just unbelievably good, and then the people working here seem to really enjoy their job and make you feel truly welcome. I felt compelled to give this place a 5 star review and cannot wait to come back.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this pizza place. Went on a Monday, drove around for a bit trying to find a place to park. Downtown and all it can be a challenge. Place was busy and pizza looked great. We were just going in for slices. Kind of weird how the front low case is where u view what type of slices they have. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was NO vegan options. So we weren't even able to try a slice. I would think with peep being lactose intolerant, vegan or by choice a restaurant would have at least 1 vegan pizza slice to offer. Bum bum bummer!!

Yelp
Some friends of mine went here a few weeks ago and told me that I had to come here, so I did. Odie's did not disappoint. The atmosphere is pretty casual and there is a good variety of pizza options. We ended up going with the Benny and the Jets grandma style. It is counter service and it was busy on a Friday night so it took a few minutes to find a table. The pizza took about 20 minutes to arrive from the time we ordered, not bad for a busy Friday night. The pizza was amazing. It was a tasty pizza that didn't feel over the top. They have a sourdough pizza dough which had its own flavor, but didn't overwhelm the flavor of the toppings. Definitely have to come back and check out more pizzas and their happy hour!

Yelp
Food was amazing! Great ambience, they clearly want to make this place a hang out spot, watch the game, enjoy happy hour etc.. pizza was crazy good, and the pizza rolls were also delicious. Only downside was the service, it was our first time there and they forgot our appetizer. No biggie at all, we went up to ask if we could still get it to go and they were pretty hostile when we asked which felt weird. No apology or like "hey sorry about that", just straight up aggressive. We took it to go and enjoyed it later. We all discussed after and loved the food, just wished the customer service was maybe on a better level. Seriously weird vibe from the staff. Will be ordering it to go next time

Yelp
The pizza was pretty good. The lunch special was awesome and the staff was really friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the openness of the building itself. Was visiting from out of town but would go back for sure.

Yelp
Came here Friday around 5pm and It was pretty busy! They just opened Thursday so to be expected. I did walk by Thursday as well and It was very busy so decided to try again the next day. They have inside and patio seating. You order at the register, so It went by quickly. They have a menu for on tap drinks so you can have a drink while you wait. Sarah was very helpful on making recommendations. The crust was tasty, I love sourdough in any form They have $2 off drinks 3-5pm and also had slices sold until 5 pm. The pizza was a good size and I enjoyed It. I think next time I have a beach day I will grab a pizza to go on the way. Yum!

Yelp
Great Pizza! Tasty, delicious and really good ranch dressing as well! Now I see why their only flaw is running out of things.
