"This Calgary-based concept started in 2009 by chef Mauro Martina made its OC debut in April 2022. A torched pavlova French toast trifle is layered with lemon curd and in the confit de canard, shredded duck meat is tossed with crispy potato wedges on this playful menu." - Jenn Tanaka

Very Cute well designed Egg theme breakfast shop. We had egg breakfast and nachos set and signature latte. The ham is flavored with rosemary while the waffles are buttered with almond milk I think. The Nachos mixed with fresh tomatoes slices as well as fresh avocado along with beans pastes taste quite fresh not heavy at all. The latte is well brewed and balanced with the milk while the bitterness kicks in a bit. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience and the staff are friendly.

What a treat! Holy Crab was delicious. There was no mistake that you were having crab. The beef tallow fries were fantastic as advertised. Shishito peppers were perfect with brunch. The French toast was substantial and the pancake was soft with just a little chew to it. Super cute interior. The whole family approved.

Google
Had the Crab Benedict - Best I’ve ever had. The potatoes are fried in Tallow and are incredible delicious. Highly recommended ❤️ my wife had the bacon and eggs with pancakes and OMG it’s the best pancake I’ve ever had. Fantastic breakfast and lunch menus. Healthy dining with inside and outside eating. Plenty of free parking. Endy was fantastic and welcoming to all patrons. Checking with us to be sure everything is beyond excellent. Food was served fast and hot and super delicious. It the first time I’ve been treated with fresh ground pepper on my breakfast.

Google
Most delicious green machine smoothie I have ever tasted! I just stopped by for a quick dessert and loved the atmosphere, you can even get breakfast at the bar and meet lovely people. ☺️🤌 Beautiful, clean, friendly!

Google
One of those places where I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take pictures of my food first. The Bulgogi Benedict was delicious a little too much onion for me but the flavor made it bearable. Potatoes were cooked perfectly and had such great flavors. Also shared a traditional breakfast plate that came with eggs, sausage and two well sized pancakes! Staff was so nice and attentive. I will for sure be back to try other items.

Google
I had an amazing breakfast experience at OEB Breakfast Co!! The food was absolutely delicious especially the shakshuka, which is such a great option for vegans. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with a charming artisan touch to every dish. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and that we felt well taken care of. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy spot with fantastic food and wonderful service!

EDITING MY REVIEW: Service SUCKS! Especially if you get "Cesar "! Doesn't ask if you need anything. I had to ask for water, bigger plates to share the meals with 3 little ones, more napkins, etc. Asked for very soft scrambled eggs and got hard scrambled eggs. I think he's racist and maybe prejudiced? PREVIOUS REVIEW: My daughter loves this restaurant for its natural ingredients! I, personally, like the greasy and junk food, but I went to OEB for my grandkids because my daughter insisted. To my surprise (I guess you have to know what to order), I ordered the 3-some and two child meals (pancakes and French toast). Surprisingly, we ate up all the food! Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was conducive to eating and relaxing!

Google
After visiting this cafe in Vancouver I was delighted to find one in Newport Beach! Food was fantastic! OEB breakfast bowls are sooo good 🤤, largely because of the duck fat fried potatoes. You can do 50/50 potatoes and fresh greens mix, which is perfect. Decaf coffee is just as good as regular. Lastly, the desserts, they not only look great, but taste amazing as well! Good service and easy parking. No cons really, definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Walid, Lennette, and Celine were awesome. Thank you for making it a great experience.

Yelp
Went here on Father's Day around 12:30. Joined the wait list from Yelp and when we arrived we were seated immediately. Jonathon was our server and did a phenomenal job!! He was attentive and knew the menu well. He told us the history of the how the restaurant began and had great recommendations along with explaining how each dish got its name. The Get Shorty Rib was amazing! I got the mix of potato and arugula with it! The eggs were perfect and the flavors exploded!! My wife had the Gold Digga and loved it. My daughters got the Benny and French toast. The Benny was perfect but my youngest daughter thought the French toast needed more lemon curd and berries in between the slices. After eating the top slice she said it seemed dry. Not a diss on the food, Just her preference. All in all it was an amazing breakfast with great service! We can't wait to return!!

Robert F.

Yelp
Came here for Father's Day, the ambiance is a trendier breakfast spot playing mostly TikTok type songs, very nice servers, and the food was creative and well put together. Balances flavors and well cooked. Definitely a place to try. We'll be back.

Yelp
It's been a year since my last visit so I was excited to come back! Their menu has changed a lot since. My friend got the banana cream pie french toast while I ordered the korean bulgogi with waffle fries. Portions were bigger than we thought but good for the price & definitely shareable!! The waffle fries passed the crunch test :-) YUM! But the bulgogi sauce soaked the bread/bun. I actually wasn't too bothered by it though. The french toast was insanely big and while my friend liked it, she couldn't finish. Drinks were okay honestly. I didn't realize their matcha comes unsweetened so I had to use their sugar packets. I asked if they could take it back to the kitchen & add sweetener but they don't allow it...A little off-putting ngl. Service was amazing though! The waiter kept checking on us & was very friendly. TIP: Waitlist on Yelp before you get there so you can be seated as you soon arrive :-) We waitlisted on a Saturday afternoon right before we left & were the 5th in line. When we got there, we were the 2nd so not too busy at all.

Yelp
There's just something about great service that just really makes for an amazing dining experience. From arrival, the staff was so on point. Its nice to see staff that do their job well and look like they enjoy working with each other, joking around and smiling. But priority for me is the food, of course, haha. OEB is a cute little brunch spot located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. I liked the decor and bright casual vibe. The hanging ball lights look cool and unique. I ordered my usual go-to for brunch, which is a Florentine Eggs Benedict. As I was taking a photo, the poached egg rolled right off my avocado! (see pictures haha) Our server was great and replaced the egg for me right away. I really liked their eggs benny. I loved that it was on a buttered croissant! The potato wedges were really good too. The seasoning and the way they fried it it was so flavorful. Loved my meal. I also ordered a mimosa flight. A mimosa flight is great for being indecisive on which mimosa to get. So gotta love a flight to be able to try all the different flavors! I liked mango the best. OEB is definitely a brunch spot I'd visit again next time I'm in the area!

Jessica N.

Yelp
Our server, Cesar, was fantastic. Funny guy and he checked on us often. Very fast and friendly. He made our brunch at OEB a real delight and I'd go again thanks to him. A bustling brunch place with a 20+ minute Yelp wait-list on Saturdays but lots of parking. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It's not too loud that you can't have a conversation though. French Toast Trifle: a sweet berry french toast made of two very thick slices that were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. A generous amount of berries and very rich. One of the best french toast I've had in awhile. It was good as leftovers the next day too. Short Rib Bowl: a big serving of roasted potato wedges and big chunks of short rib. The sauteed peppers and eggs made for a very filling and hearty meal. Not too much cheese and sauce so it was perfectly balanced. Food and drinks came out quickly so no complaints here!

Jenae S.

Yelp
Avocado toast was bussin!!!! Orange juice was fresh Service was great I didn't love sharing the table with others

Agnes H.

Yelp
Amazing food and service was fantastic ambiance was great. We came from out of town and found this place on Yelp. Reviews do it no justice this place is a must go and cost of reasonable.

Gabe D.

Yelp
I took my daughter here on her way to school. The cheese curds do not disappoint. The waiter was super friendly. It's has a diner vibe, but healthy food cooked with real fat. I'm getting hungry thinking about the bacon with duck fat potatoes.

Aisling S.

Yelp
Food: Portions are massive. I ordered one of the eggs Benedicts. Potatoes that came with it were very tasty and crispy. I found the half avocado a bit excessive as it took away from the other flavors but I prefer more avocado to less so I'll give them a star for that. Benedict sauces was great which is the true sign of a good brunch spot. Definitely would return and try something else. Service: was great, they readily refilled our coffee and water when needed and everything was efficient. Ambiance: it's got a cool diner vibe but it's pretty tightly packed.

Yelp
Birthday brunch with the cousins today. This was on our list of places to try so we went for it. Chilaquiles were ordered twice, with substitutions, waffles for the birthday girl and the farmer John's special for me. Order a Diet Coke and they handed me a bottle of DC with a glass of ice. Bummer. I love fountain drinks. The chilaquiles had a hint of cinnamon in the sauce. Not a fan of adding cinnamon and it took away some of the flavor. HUGE skillet full. It's a ton of food. Tables are too small for such big plates! The Farmer John's plate was good but lacked flavor. Needed salt & pepper but we didn't ask for any. Waffles were good when whipped cream and a side of berries were added. The server was great but we had to keep asking for ice tea refills. It was fresher brewed tea so it was hot so we needed to keep asking for ice. One of the servers made a crazy eyed face at us! The butter for my toast was served as a small ball in a large metal cup. The ketchup was half full in a small metal cup. Perhaps they should switch the small & large cups and maybe fill them up a little more? Maybe they are conserving since people are wasteful. All in all it was good, not great.

Emily M.

Yelp
Best brunch I've had in a long time! They have such a unique menu with tons of options. Huge portion sizes too. We ordered the blue crab Benedict, the bacon ham mushroom omelette, and the short rib breakfast bowl. Crab was fresh and they were generous with it. The sauce is better than a traditional Benny sauce and it's much lighter. Love the way the potatoes come with these dishes. They're all nice and crispy and just a little soft inside so it's kinda like home style fries but literally every potato was perfection. We got half arugula half potato base on the Short rib bowl which definitely made it less heavy and the arugula freshened it up a bit. Huge fan and would get both of these again! Omelette was pretty good and came with much fresher seasonal fruits than most restaurants. I'd prefer a fluffier omelette but it was still pretty good. Shoutout to the cute interior with the fun egg lamps and country diner touches. Attentive service though the food took a bit long to come out, probably around 25 mins. Going to be a regular here!

Yelp
OEB has recently (in the last couple of months 2023) updated their menu and added a few must try's. It's not even been a year since I've been here and already there's a wait for me to write the next review, can't wait long enough to say extras about what the menu has to offer. The current menu consists of Mattina Bowl instead of their Chia seed pudding. Honestly that was the only downside to the altercation, the Mattina bowl had more bulgar like grains than I would like for something oatmealy but the fruit is the same as the chia seed pudding. Which was very pleasant to enjoy if you don't feel like any meat or greens. Just grains and fruit with a dollop of yogurt. The market salad is very yummy!! It has all my favorite fruit on there-- if you count avocado as fruit. So addicting. The quinoa harvest bowl was also very flavorful and such a generous salad with all the ingredients balanced at a fat-skinny diet. Just love it. Something for everybody. Their eggs are always soft boiled to perfection. I don't know how they peel the eggs while maintaining such a great shape. Perfect. The eggs Florentine is consistently dreamy. Nestled in a giant avocado is your favorite soft boiled egg in the yolkiest Sunday dress. Mmmm. Where do they get their eggs and can they make me six everyday?! Service is routinely dependable, beyond friendly and just people who even if you found wandering in your backyard would soon become dinner guests served with fine China. Presentation of the food, decor-- its all on point and cluck-a-licious. I still need to say though the avocado toast would be way better with hummus spread on the side. And keep making them pancakes the way you do, OEB may just become the next unofficial pancake house for all griddle-connoisseurs.

Andrew G.

Yelp
It was good. A little expensive for what it was, flavors were ok but nothing super new. The breakfast gnocci on the menu was super interesting and very tasty, outside of that it was very standard for a breakfast place imo!

Airi G.

Yelp
In love is an understatement. Brunch is my favorite meal and OEB is THE place to spend it if you're in Newport Beach. They recently came out with 12 new items and if you know me, I can't resist trying out new or seasonal items. The new item I tried, or my brother ended up ordering and I got to try a bite of, was the Cali burger which was loaded. It reminded me of an extravagant In-n-out burger so I loved it. I also couldn't resist the classics and I'm glad I didn't skip out on them or I would've regretted it the whole day. We got the Threesome to share which came with scrambled eggs, double-smoked bacon, and a pancake. The pancake was large and fluffy with the maple syrup providing the perfect touch of sweetness. I ordered the Huevos In'na Burrito which was an interesting take on a breakfast classic because it was served more like a wrap than a burrito. It also had a fun twist of being topped with shishito peppers which I thought complimented it surprisingly well. I love the little things about restaurants and the plates they served it on were gorgeous. I also don't know where to begin when describing the interior because it felt so cozy and at home, or I guess like a classic diner from back in the day. It was very spacious and pretty empty on a Tuesday at noon. There's outdoor seating too if the day is nice out. The service was also amazing. They checked in on us often, refilled our waters, and had great attitudes.

Yelp
Came again because I was invited to come to their new menu VIP tasting. My experience this time around was not as good as last time. Probably because we came in at 1 pm before closing. All the servers and bussers were doing their closing side work in front of us while we were eating (I get it they want to get out of there after their shift asap but it's annoying af) and a worker spraying chemicals and putting cellophane on the glass at a table next to us. I don't recommend coming after 1:00 pm due to this issue. Nevertheless our sever was very helpful and accommodating and told the worker to stop doing his stuff till after we left. All the servers here are super friendly and courteous. The food was a hit and miss. Their new chicken sandwich is SUPER BOMB. Highly recommend this sandwich. So good. Filling and great taste. We both thought this was the best thing we got. The Pastrami sandwich was a huge miss for me. It was just ok. It lacked flavor and it was dry. It's like they took two pieces of bread and spread some mustard on it and pastrami meat. All I could taste was mustard. Very lackluster. Needs more sauce or something to enhance the flavor. I feel I could make a better pastrami sandwich at home. It also needs cheese or sauerkraut. Just didn't do it for me. Overall it was a good lunch. It's a great place to come and eat. I normally don't come before closing when eating out because the experience is just not the same. I should have known better. Will definitely be back for breakfast instead. Plus the girl I was with speaks fluent Spanish. She could hear everything the cooks were talking about because we were sitting next to the kitchen in the booth. She was laughing because of "what" they were talking about. I won't say what it is on this review lol.

Tammy S.

Yelp
Everything is good here and that's why it's crowded. Came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Ordered french toast and it comes with 2 THICK slices of bread with egg and potatos. My friends ordered omelets, benedicts, pancakes and they all look good. Service was great, employees were friendly. It was an enjoyable brunch.

Mary Ann P.

Yelp
This place is always hopping! The food is soo delicious and the servers are so attentive and kind! This is my second visit and while I live a bit away, it is definitely worth the drive. It's a casual atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Great little neighborhood place with plenty of parking too!

Nadya A.

Yelp
Their fried hero potatoes were heavenly as they're fried with duck fat. For any of their breakfast bowls, you can sub 1/2 potatoes with 1/2 spinach or arugula. I find this best as it makes the meal portion perfect and not too heavy. The brown butter hollandaise that comes with all of these dishes is the star. On our second visit, one of our dish potatoes is kind of bland though, a bit of inconsistency there. Not sure if they forgot to season it or something, but it does taste different than the potatoes that comes in the other bowl on the same day. The place can be pretty packed on the weekends, but I've never had to wait the past 2 times I've been here. (Follow @hangrytrails.us on instagram for more SoCal foods)

Cathlyn D.

Yelp
Amazing!!! Service was amazing!!! Ambiance amazing!!! Food was soooo tasty!!! I love this place! Came here to celebrate my friend's 25th birthday! We ordered mimosa flights and a couple single mimosas. Single mimosas were only $5! Other brunches I've been to charge around $10-12 for a single mimosa which is insane. There was great variety on the menu and things were reasonably priced for the quality of food. Sooo tasty, cohesive, and great flavors. The Korean Bulgogi eggs benny was the best!! I loved it and would order it again if I didn't insist on trying something new every time I come again. We also got the Do Not Even Go There and it was delicious. 10/10 recommend!!!!

Marcus A.

Yelp
I'm so bummed we found this "hidden gem" visiting our daughter for her graduation at UCI! I wish we would've found it 4 years ago!!! Luckily we came here twice & they did not disappoint! You feel the "energetic vibe" (a la South Beach, Miami) as soon as you walk in! The decor is Vibrant, the music gets you in the mood, the wait staff are fun (caffeinated with 2 cortado's) & then the food arrives! It doesn't disappoint and makes you want to get up and dance b/c it's so good!! UCI should have a link to here because it's that good!! So if you're in the area and are looking for a great breakfast/lunch spot with great food, a great vibe and friendly staff, take a drive to Costa Mesa and check it out!!

Crystal K.

Yelp
The food was good with lots of options with a nice atmosphere. They do offer both coffee and alcoholic brunch drink options for you to choose from. They also have the option of indoor and outdoor seating. They are dog friendly so you can be seated outside with them. The service was great and they made sure to check in multiple times. They're friendly, nice, and attentive. I ended up ordering the Florentine Eggs Benedict, which was tasty. Enjoyed the potatoes that came on the side as well. There's plenty of parking in front of the restaurant.

Jeremy B.

Yelp
Nestled in a quiet complex. Came on a Sunday for brunch and didn't wait long despite the restaurant being packed to the brim. FOOD: Per the menu they are known for their signature breakfast bowls so we ordered from this section. They seemed to be a play on poutine with the fries, cheese curds, sauce. We ordered: Get Shorty Rib - The short rib was soft and tender and meshed well with the mushrooms, peppers, and onions. Gold Digga - The pork pieces were crispy and the truffle flavor added a much needed nuance to the salty/savory dimension. Overall, I loved the potatoes, fried to perfection and seasoned perfectly. I will say though that the potatoes dominate the bowls and in my opinion, the carb to protein ratio is quite off. For poutine this is fine, but for a "breakfast bowl" I would expect more balance. My partner subbed half of the potatoes for veggies and I will be doing this moving forward to correct this. Also, the eggs are closer to soft boiled than poached. SERVICE: prompt, friendly, everything came in a reasonable time. AMBIANCE: Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. It was such a beautiful day that we opted to sit outside. The inside was very modern with lots of bright colors and trendy decor. Would I come back? Sure, certainly wouldn't be opposed.

Lamia A.

Yelp
I've been wanting to go here for such a long time. I was surprised how fast they sat us down. Our server was good and friendly and I understand he was busy, so it took a little longer to put in our order and get our food. I started with the green machine smoothie and it was absolutely delicious and refreshing!!! My fav thing we had tried. We got the shakshuka, quinoa bowl, and egg Benedict. The shakshuka came in a tajin bowl so the presentation was excellent, but it tasted very average. I was disappointed as we asked for over hard eggs, but they were def not. The bowl was alright. Nothing special and I did not try the Benedict but the fries were amazing!!

Krista P.

Yelp
Yum! Will return and recommend!! We dined during the week and I can understand this place is probably busy on the weekends. Everything on the menu looked delicious and it was hard to choose. I want to go back and try the other foods. I loved the names and descriptions of the items, too. Made the experience fun! Staff were friendly and efficient - 2 were working the floor and took care of all the patrons with ease. The restaurant was clean, had nice decor, and a bright welcoming vibe.

Courtney T.

Yelp
I got to come in to try their new lunch items & let me tell you it did not disappoint. They were super understanding since I was running late to my reservation when I called over the phone. The service throughout was outstanding. I could see the owner talking with some of the diners so I can tell he really cares about his restaurant. There was also plenty of seating in the patio too! I tried the Smoked Chicken Club Sandwich, so yummy. All the ingredients were fresh & they used yellow tomatoes. The waffle fries were super hot & crispy and fried in Beef Tallow making them extra tasty. I asked for Chipotle Aioli on the side & it went perfect with the fries. The Shakshuka & Pastrimi Sandwich were some of the other new lunch items but I didn't get to try it. I definitely want to come back here!

Fran L.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast place that is located in one of the nicer, an old neighborhood in Newport Beach well away from the more expensive and glitzy coastal area. It's easily accessible by a bike path from the city of Irvine via the 12 mile of dedicated bike trails along the large drain ditch that provides safe passage for serious bikers. The restaurant is open, airy and friendly staffs with fast service and solid breakfast and brunch offerings with flight of four different mimosa with Prosecco. There are plenty of options to choose from and also breakfast bowls and healthy options that are refreshing. I enjoyed the Threesome with a thick pancake and two eggs over easy and chicken links. Everyone else had lobster bowl. I would definitely go back.

Kathryn G.

Yelp
A go to brunch spot for me here in Newport. A wide selection of sweet and savories, but my favorite go is their bowls!

Bally L.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for breakfast on a random weekday and didn't have to wait long. It's inside a shopping plaza so there's a decent amount of parking. We ordered: *get shorty rib (the beef tallow fried potatoes were probably the highlight-- so good!) *banana "cream pie" french toast: not too sweet; we wanted to try it for the novelty We also ordered the mimosa flight which included orange, pineapple, grapefruit, and mango. My favorites were the mango and classic orange. Definitely a cute spot for brunch in Newport Beach.

Trisha V.

Yelp
Been dying to eat at this place and I finally went with my friend Christy and I can't wait to go back. I had her choose most of the items and wow, the ones she chose, I would never order but it was definitely one of the best things I even ate. The new dish, Shakshuka, was literally one of the most delicious things and I would never even think to order it. I don't really know the best way to describe it, it's obviously not a typical breakfast dish so just trust me and order it!!! This place was packed and super busy nonstop and I could see why. Everyone was super nice and I will definitely come back for sure.

Crystal W.

Yelp
My friend took me here for my birthday and must I say this was SOOO GOOD! We luckily went on a Tuesday afternoon, so there wasn't much of a line. We got seated and serviced immediately. My friend ordered a langoustine omelette and I ordered the breakfast trio (I WAS BLOWNNN away by their pancake. I'm a huge almond fan and their pancake was gluten-free because they used almond flour). So so so good. Can't wait to come back.

Maddison H.

Yelp
Cute fun spot! I got the B.I.T. burger (sounds like it should stand for something but it doesn't? ) it was really good! It came with a truffle mayo and it was sooo good my friend got the Chicken Club and said she liked it, the fries hers came with were O.K. I got the side salad and it was just dressed greens but the dressing was really good and the arugula was fresh! Service was fine, not super attentive (they forgot my friend's drink) but the server was really friendly and welcoming. They gave me a whole bottled Diet Coke with a glass of ice when I ordered a soda- that was cool

Vijaya K.

Yelp
Good food, many choices, fresh ingredients from local farmers. Great ambience and service.

Claudia G.

Yelp
We only went here bc it was near the UPS Store we had just visited...so glad we did! I had the Belgian waffle w/berries with a hot peppermint tea and my daughter had the Cali burger with an iced matcha latte, both meals were delicious!! The service was top notch, the hostess, our server (John), and the expediters were all so friendly and helpful!!! Highly recommend :)

Patience M.

Yelp
One of my new favorite breakfast places. It's located in a busy strip mall so parking can be tough on the weekends but it's worth it. During peak hours be ready for a wait. Service is always great as well. Whatever you do, make sure to get their potatoes! They are so crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside-always a favorite. The only thing that wasn't my favorite was their bloody Mary's. They are pretty weak, I just stick to their mimosas now. Can't wait to come back. Also dog friendly! They brought my pup out some water outside.

Maritza S.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The quality of the food is what keeps me going back. I've tried several items and I'm still obsessed with the Gold Digga breakfast. The service is always on point. This last time we ordered drinks and they didn't have mint for mine but the drink was still tasty. Later on the server delivered a drink made with mint and it was even better, the best part is that the manager comped the drink. The ambiance is welcoming and lively. Lastly, the cleanliness of the bathrooms needs to be mentioned. This place pays attention to every detail.

Carina V.

Yelp
Cute breakfast place with solid food. Shrimp on the lobster shrimp omelette was a tad overcooked though, but other than that, solid breakfast options and drinks

Tanya M.

Yelp
We came for Mother's Day with a party of 15 and they were totally accommodating! Food was excellent and so was the service ! Get the pastrami Benedict!

Kelvin W.

Yelp
We ordered the chasing chickens, which is the smoked chicken bowl with egg and potatoes. The dish is not too greasy, which I prefer for brunch. We also got the crepes with poached eggs and bacons. There is an option to reserve a spot before hand, which helps as the line can get quite long on the weekends.

Andrew B.

Yelp
Wonderful staff, fantastic bacon, and eggs. The egg quality is so good it's definitely organic. Great bread quality had the French toast. It was a little bit lacking. My children enjoyed their meals. The ambience was cute and modern diner style. Nice little patio also.

Amanda B.

Yelp
Cute vibes, LOVE the service, the food and the portions- one of our fave brunch spots!

Angelo C.

Yelp
Super delicious food. Came here for brunch with my friends and the food was exquisite. I did not take a picture of my food but I ordered the classic with scrambled eggs, maple sausage, and potatoes and it was phenomenal. The scrambled eggs were probably the highlight for me and they cooked it exactly how I like it. I also requested for the truffle aioli which went really well with my potatoes. Service was excellent. Our waiter was super attentive despite it being busy and always refilled our waters. Overall I highly recommend this place if you're in the Newport area.

Kennon C.

Yelp
Food was good. Our favorite was the beef short rib breakfast bowl. Wait is lengthy but it was a good overall experience.

Wesley S.

Yelp
This place is an all around hit. Service is fantastic, the food quality is high, and ambiance is spot on for the area. I definitely recommend trying this spot out and the Shakshouka was excellent!!

Yelp
Was near the end of our vacay and decided to have brunch at a local place. We didn't have any reservations but the gentleman who greeted us was SO FRIENDLY and WELCOMING! If I lived close by this would definitely be my local hang out!! The restaurant is so cute and open and clean. Server was so friendly. First of all - I LOVE Chilaquiles... so anytime I see it on the menu it's a MUST order for me! And OEB did not disappoint!! I think it was one of the BEST and BIGGEST Chilaquiles I've ever had! All the flavors on the crispy tortillas... most were still crispy which is a HUGE plus and everything tasted so fresh and vibrant! Having the pickled onions took everything to the top - chunks of fresh tomatoes and avocado!! And the creama! with the creamy egg yolks! Mouth is watering just remembering the dish!! Youngest had the classic breakfast with their sausage and scrambled eggs. She especially was excited to try their duck fat fried herbed potatoes which were delicious - flavorful and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside... Middle had their Soul in a Bowl which is poached eggs, duck fat fried herb potatoes, fresh local cheese curds, slow cooked bacon bits with brown butter hollandaise. She did a half and half of potatoes and arugula which was perfect for her... She was happy with the dish and was stuffed!! So filling. Hubby had the Tuna Crudo which was a breakfast bowl with poached eggs, Ahi tuna, Hass avocado, sesame, soy sauce, pommes frittes, cilantro crema with an Asian vinaigrette. So fyi the pommes frittes are the waffle fries! So much crunch all around - He devoured it so fast! He wished it had more ahi tuna as most of the bowl was the frittes but overall he was satisfied. We also decided to try their pierogis which was delicious but honestly we couldn't do it justice as we were all stuffed on each of our own plates! I can't remember what drinks we go - I know I got coffee which they kept my cup filled and hot which was perfect!! LOVE the food, love the atmosphere, love the service and the greeter! Our go to when we come back for sure!

Yelp
One of just a few amazing 5 star worthy breakfast spots in OC! Located inside a plaza in Costa Mesa/Newport this restaurant is tucked away and surprisingly not busy on a Friday morning. Mt husband and I tried two of their most popular dishes: the Huevos Inna Burrito, and the Soul In a Bowl. Both were fantastic with amazing flavor and with beautiful presentations. The burrito was packed with beans, eggs, cheese, sour cream, salsa and roasted peppers. My soul in a bowl was made with fried potatoes, a delicious hollandaise, and chunks of pork. There's nothing to edit or add to either they are literally perfect as they are! Excited to try some more dishes from here in the future but so far the service, food, ambiance, and everything was amazing!

Yelp
Was able to grab a reservation easily via Yelp! I ordered the Threesome and the Chilaquiles. Super delicious dishes -- you can taste the freshness of each ingredient. My Threesome came with pancakes, eggs and ham. Our waiter was super attentive and his energy was so bright. We also loved the coffee!

Yelp
Great place to eat breakfast/lunch. The food is super delicious. If you like french toast or crepes this is the place. I'm a French toast and crepe person. The severs are nice and welcoming . They give it and go above & beyond for all customers. Their coffee is delicious . The restaurant is nice and clean. I Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Great breakfast spot, modern, clean and inviting. The staff is polite, on top of things and attentive. We tried the Soul in a Bowl and HUEVOS IN'NA BURRITO. Both items were tasty and highly recommended. The peppers on the burrito where charred perfectly and so sweet. The bowl was so rich, yolkie and that sauce was amazing. Will def come back again to try more of the sweeter options.

Yelp
I've had this place bookmarked for months and was thrilled to finally dine here! Went hiking this morning with my friend and we were jonesing for a delicious, filling brunch. OEB fit the bill! I put us on the waitlist and our table was ready right when we arrived. We were seated inside and right away noticed the similarities to another one of our favorites, Snooze. We started off with some delicious fresh squeezed orange juice and marveled at the number of dishes made with poached eggs! Fittingly she got a benny and I got a breakfast bowl - both were delish! The eggs were cooked to perfection and the duck fat potatoes were flavorful and crispy. We didn't try any of their mimosas or cocktails, but they had a cute bar that made me want to come back and try them. OEB is located next to Pick Up Stix and Anthill in the shopping center on Irvine and Westcliff. Parking is hit and miss here, but this place is worth it!
