Oenophile Institute

What a find! I’ve taken 2 classes/tastings at this wine “school”. Both were super interesting and fun. And while you are learning cool info, you get to drink great wines, ask questions and enjoy the company of others in the class. The owner has filled the calendar with a wine variety to different types of classes and tastings. I’ve already signed up for my next one.

Taking my WSET Level 1 Award in Wines course and exam at the Oenophile Institute was an excellent experience. From just one class it’s clear how much effort and enthusiasm Ted and Chelsea put into their teaching. The content was approachable, well-structured, and engaging for all of our group's varying levels of knowledge. I’m hooked and have already signed up for another course! Highly recommend Oenophile Institute to anyone curious about wine and looking for a great place to start OR continue.

The Oenophile Institute provides an amazing setting where wine education, at all levels, can flourish. For me, OI has become the fertile soil where my personal and professional passions coincide. I’m forever grateful for being introduced to Chelsea and her network as I continue my wine education journey, and take it as far as possible!

The Oenophile Institute is one of my favorite places in Atlanta. Chelsea is a fantastic and fun teacher and the vibe that is created in the classes and events is friendly, welcoming, and non-judgemental. If you want to learn more about wine, this is the place for you!

I signed up for a Sighted wine tasting to learn more about comparing wines. The class was set up when we arrived and the conversation was amazing. I am learning more about comparing wines from similar regions. The classes are run by certified sommeliers. They take the time to help everyone attending to understand the objectives of the class. I am a wine newbie, but was treated with respect and all my questions were answered. I learned the differences of three French regional wines and expanded my pallet. I am thinking of signing up for a wine certification class. I feel this is a great place to start. The other participants were testing for certification, I liked that any level could attend this class.

I had a great and wonderful time here with my mother and the other few guests that were in the February 3rd class. The wines and chocolates were fantastic, Kim Jones was an amazing teacher and I would definitely be coming back. 10/10

I've enjoyed learning about wine by attending classes here. The space is comfortable. The detail and information is well presented. The wine selection during tastings has been phenomenal. I also have been able to meet so many new and wonderful people. Couldn't recommend it more! I'll absolutely continue to visit.

Chelsea and team are amazing. I’ve had the opportunity to take a few different tastings with her as well as a WSET course and my experience has been amazing. If you’re looking to learn about wine in a chill environment this is your place!
