Gotta love any place that gives Calamari that looks like this. The fry was crunchy and the flavor was spot on. The prices are on the higher side but its worth every sent. The mixed drinks werent too strong but enough to get a good buzz going. Seating was intimate to say the least, the staff was more something to note.

I stopped in for lunch today, and had an excellent meal! I came to try the shrimp corn dogs, and they were fantastic! They used a light batter, as perfectly pairs with shrimp, not the normal, heavier batter used with hot dogs. It was served with cocktail sauce and a wonderful mustard sauce. This dish alone was worth the visit, but I also ordered the fish and chips, which were also great! The fries were light, and the fish was perfectly done. I sat at the bar, and received excellent service, and to round out the meal, they had a great selection of beers on tap. The Deschutes lager paired perfectly with the fish and chips. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch!

The food here is always outstanding! Especially if you hit up happy hour. Good deals on oysters and drinks. And quite possibly the best cooked calamari around. The clam chowder is insane too. Servers are great.

Great restaurant. Our server Melissa was very personable and she always made sure to check on us. Went in for dinner with a friend and we got the halibut ceviche which was perfect since the lime didn't overpower the fish. I had the lobster roll and my friend enjoyed the macadamia crusted halibut. Both dishes were very well balanced with the flavor of the main ingredient shining through. The drinks were also really good. Definitely recommend!

We have visited there 3 times. We have lucked out and had the same server each time and she has been amazing. We have been seated outside and had a very enjoyable experience. Would recommend this place.

This is one of my favorite spots to come to. The atmosphere, is lively and energetic. You can sit inside where the bar and TV screens are or sit on the welcoming patio. They have heaters outside with live music. Free parking, and we've been seated quickly. All I tried here was great. Claim chowder, avocado egg rolls, with a sweet and flavorful dipping sauce, and lobster roll. The Verlasso Salmon pasta is my absolute favorite. I've also tried the chicken sliders when I wasn't so hungry, they taste good with the dipping sauce from the avocado egg rolls.. the staff is always friendly and welcoming. They are eager to answer any questions you may have. The prices a little up there but quality and service is well worth it..this place is never empty.

This Saturday evening wasn't as busy as I thought. Got seated after a few moment and our server greeted us right away. I was craving for the lobster roll but got the pasta instead. My goal is to try something new for each visit. The white clam chowder was so creamy yummy! Hawaiian sparkling water came in a whole glass bottle, filtered Hawaii volcano water. Enjoyed our dinner with great live music.

My husband has been talking about the oysters here like they changed his life--so we finally came to see what the hype was about. Of course, we showed up at 2pm on a Saturday: not happy hour, not busy, just that weird restaurant twilight zone where vibes are high but service is on vacation. To their credit, the place looks great. Indoor and outdoor seating with solid ambiance--would've been a vibe if we weren't busy waving down servers like stranded sailors. The staff seemed more invested in their group chat IRL than in, you know, noticing us. When the food finally arrived, it was good, but not "I'm okay with this bill" good. The hamachi crudo was so tasty I briefly considered licking the plate. The oysters? Super fresh and living their best life with cocktail horseradish and ponzu. The crab dip was rich enough to be an entree in disguise, and the halibut ceviche was mostly onions and tomatoes cosplaying as fish. Moral of the story: come during happy hour, when the prices (and servers) are more present. Otherwise, enjoy the scenery--because you'll have time to soak it all in.

Visited on an early Sunday evening. There was no wait time for a table. Was seated outside where there were patio heaters, potted plants, and string lights throughout. Ordered the Prime Kobe Beef Flat Irok Steak & Petite Lobster Tail, along with their macaroni & cheese. Everything was delicious and well-seasoned, though I did order my steak rare and unfortunately, it was served medium. Despite this, it was a very tender. The pasta in the mac n cheese was not overcooked, and the peppers added a nice texure. I can't wait to try their other dishes and cocktails for my next visit.

I had a couple of IPAs and a wedge salad. Everything was tasty. The wedge salad has delicious candied bacon, and the bleu cheese dressing is scrumptious. The sourdough rolls are unmatched. My dining partners' split the crab/lemon pasta. One of them had a Caprese salad and the other one had the arugula salad. Everything was delicious by report. The IPAS were both quite good, although I liked the Liquid Candy hazy IPA over the Belching Beaver IPA. We split the brown butter cake and it was like a warm hug. Our server, Ashley was sweet and attentive. If you haven't been to the Original Fish Company or Off the Hook, you're missing out. They are sister restaurants with Off the Hook being a little more casual. They have entertainment on certain nights. There's plenty of adjacent parking.

Took a couple of friends for lunch since they hadn't been here before. Glad to say they loved it! We started with their Burrata Crostini as an appetizer, perfect to share with 3 people. I had their Watermelon Basil-tini and it was so good. It had a little piece of watermelon in it that was scrumptious to eat after. We had a clam chowder, Ahi Tuna Tataki & two of the Chilean Seabass off the day specials. They were cooked to perfection! The service was friendly and was always around to check in on us. They are always awesome. We sat outside in their patio because the day was gorgeous so the ambiance was just perfect.

A neighborhood gem! Saturday brunch with live music is the best. Food is always on point, fresh and delicious.

I ordered a lobster roll to-go. Ordering over the phone was easy. I asked about whether the lobster was cooked with alcohol ( since I don't have food with alcohol in it), and the lady who took my order double checked which was really sweet of her! Parking was no trouble at all. I paid $33 for my order. I wasn't surprised because lobster, in general, is pricey. I think it's worth the price when the food tastes so good. The lobster roll comes with fries, ketchup, and salad. One of the BEST lobster rolls I've had. The bread was so buttery and soft; it went so well with the lobster and coleslaw which was flavored and well seasoned. They gave a generous amount of lobster which was topped with aioli sauce. Will definitely come here to dine-in and eat the lobster roll again!

Stopped by for dinner the other night. Had a cup of clam chowder and a Braised Short Rib Taco. I love the clam chowder here. Warm cup of goodness. Shouldve ordered a bowl. The taco was good. Only thing is the tortilla fell apart. I dont think it was heated properly. Other than that, food was delicious. Service was quick. Very attentive. Friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.

My hubby and I love the restaurant next door and always wanted to try Off The Hook. We finally did and it did not disappoint. The food is just as delicious and they are just as friendly but I like this atmosphere more. It's chill and they always have live music. Their live music is awesome!!!

We have always gone to the Fish Company but it was our first time at Off the Hook. We went for happy hour. The lobster taco and short rib taco were delicious and a good size. The burrata crostini was good but small, I wouldn't order it again for the price. The fish and chips were delicious! Smaller than what I've been used to at Walts Warf but really good. I had a glass of Treana Sauvignon Blanc and I loved it! My husband had the hazy ipa and enjoyed it as well. Of course we enjoyed the clam chowder too. The service was prompt, and we were taken care of. We sat inside at a high table and it was comfortable, started to get louder as the night went on. We will be back!

They have live music, which is great. The service was fantastic for a Friday evening. Food was good. Appetizer crustini. Fish tacos, crispy cod and salmon. We had some lovely cocktails, Pretty Girls Walk Like This, Watermelon Basil-tini, and Prettier in Pink.

I had been wanting to try the lobster roll here for weeks since I've heard good things. I visited around 5pm on a wednesday. The original fish company is located in the same parking lot so you can imagine that it took me a while to find parking. After checking in with the hostess, they sat me down pretty quickly. They have indoor and outdoor seating but I chose to sit inside. The ambiance of this restaurant was exactly what I was looking for, it was low key and comfortable for solo diners. On Wednesdays, they have specials on the oysters so I ordered 4. The cocktail sauce that it was served with was delicious, the horseradish gave it a nice kick and flavor profile. I ordered the Lobster roll as my main dish and I would say it was a good price point considering that it comes with fries and a salad. I would also like to note that it came with a hefty amount of lobster that was cooked perfectly. The sauce on the lobster roll was delicious as well. The food was fresh and I had a pleasant time. I would have liked to try some dessert but I was pretty full. The service here was good, they checked in from time to time and were very polite. I will be visiting again soon for more oysters!

We came here for a quick lunch in the afternoon and we sat outside. The day was beautiful. The restaurant was not too crowded on a Wednesday. Everyone ordered delicious items from their ample menu. The Chilean Seabass was our favorite. But the appetizers were also lovely. Service was attentive. This restaurant is part of another main restaurant called the Fish Company. Finding the entrance can be a bit confusing. There is plenty of parking though.

Located next door to Original Fish Company in Los Alamitos, Off the Hook is a more casual seafood restaurant than its neighbor. Here, you can still get the awesome oysters and clam chowder that you'd get that the Fish company; however, you can also get exclusive items like lobster rolls, spicy tuna crispy rice, and banana foster brulee. Their lobster roll is reasonably priced and it's full of lobster meat. I actually think it's a great deal and it's filling. Food is consistent. My only complaint is that I never have enough room for dessert; however, I think that's a "me" problem. I need to plan to have their banana foster brulee some day.

Great food, great service! And one of the best Happy Hours I've been too! I love the outdoor patio with live music. It's good for dates, families, or friends...

We met our brother In Laws for dinner at 1745 hours. We sat outside where heaters were present as it was cold . We ordered drinks and appetizers, avocado rolls. They were hot and very tasty. Our waitress was a little overwhelmed with customers so our drinks on occasion would take longer than expected. We received a dish with bread and butter, rolls were hot, but not plentiful. We eventually ordered dinner, 3 of us ordered Halibut and one ordered Sea bass. All four dinners were delicious. We proceeded to a deer desert after words, the Brown Butter cake and chocolate soufflé. Both were very good. We spent almost 3 hours at the restaurant. Good times with family. Service a little slow, food was great and drinks after several prompts to waitress got our drinks correct. A little pricey, 2 beers, two vodka-soda, 2 glasses of Merlot and 2 martinis and dinner came to $314 plus $70.00 tip and earlier bar of a glass of wine and two martinis $67.00. Crazy these days, $ 100.00 per person it seems to spend to have a good time. Jeff Downey

Most expensive and most delicious Halibut Fish and Chips I've had in a long time. It normally comes with cod but you can upcharge to halibut. It is so tender and flavorful! The place is a fancy bar attached to the Original Fish Company. I believe it shares the same kitchen.

I have been to their fish company next door many times since living in the area for over 20 years. The food was great especially the grilled fish but pricing has been so high recently years when the food quality has become mediocre. Today we tried Off the Hook for happy hour and they had a power outage. Patrons weren't told immediately that there is a power outage and since we already had our food we didn't noticed. The guitar singer was super loud today and our young lady waitress was not very attentive. We waited over 30 min to get someone to have her bring our check and then we found out the computer is all down. The nice manager was getting stressed. Their clam chowder is still consistently good but rest of the items were mediocre. The loud music today was not pleasant even though it's outdoor dining but still we would like to be able to hear our conversation.

We had lunch on a Sunday and they have a musical playing. He was good. I had pulled pork sandwich which was very good. I like their thin fries. Only bad thing was service. Waiter was not attentive and food was late. My wife and I got our food and another person got their salad about 5 minutes later. A fourth person in our party got theirs (pulled pork tacos) several minutes after that.

After an afternoon of lite shopping me and my granny were starving and we didn't have the kids so we wanted to try a grown up place. This place caught my eye on the way to home goods so all while at home goods I was thinking about this place and then when my granny asked what I wanted to eat naturally I replied "the place I seen on the way here " parking was a breeze easy breezy literally. We were seated quickly basically wherever we wanted because there were plenty choices. We sat down at this cutesy corner got our menus looked over them and decided what to order I got this crab lemon pasta with breadcrumbs my granny got braised shortrib over cheesy potatoes. I also got a guavatini because, yes.

We love this place! Great food! Great ambiance! Great drinks! Great entertainment! Order the special salmon with pesto! It's wonderful!

Did I change? Did they change? I don't know which one it was, but I was even more impressed than in the past. Ok, hear me out. Their Garbage Cesar Salad is one of the best salads I have ever had. If you are a Caesar purist, this may not be for you. They have got you covered because there is a regular Caesar. The dressing is just chef's kiss. It's really what dreams are made of. Our servers have always been amazing and attentive. Their drinks are killer. It's classy in here. A little dark but not overly so. Lots of TVs and a central bar. How they envisioned this elegant set up when it used to be a Charo chicken, I have no idea. But this place is just too good to pass up.

We had to adjust to all the noise from the abundant crowd, though it was Friday night and it's a fish place. The guitarist in the patio was playing at an 11 volume and could be around 8 or 9, we shouted at each other across the table. A massive high school reunion crowd was there for dinner the night prior to their big bash. That did not deter us from the expansive menu. Was started by sharing a delicious arugula salad, appropriately dressed (not too much, not too little). I ordered the short rib melt and Pat had the shrimp tacos. Both were there in two shakes of my vodka martini, both perfection. The short rib dissolved in my mouth, on grilled sourdough it was A+! The service was A+ plus! We will be back, perhaps not on a reunion night

Based on the effort I did on my pics hope that shows this place is worth definitely going to. Enjoyed every bite! Hung out with a few friends for brunch outside patio mid-day air .. loved it!!! Was late so kinda didn't get the waitress name but service was amazing & quick. Literally saw a dish go by & asked what it was & thats how I ordered me the Fresh Alaskan Halibut 10/10 definitely will get again! Watermelon martini was on point !!! Enjoy your next meal here :)

Went here for lunch on a Friday with my work wife and it was our first time. Wow! I am sold on this place. Here's why: The service is outstanding. We were seated quickly and even though it was busy the service continued to be excellent. Our server, Priscilla, was funny and relatable from the onset. She made us laugh. She brought us drinks and made excellent recommendations for us. It was like having a friend over who made you lunch. She's a star. We got the crispy avocado egg rolls and the shrimp corn dog skewers (not the name but that's what it was lol). Also got one of the valentines drinks - I believe it was called a Cupid's kiss. It was a Valentine's Day drink special for the week. Was delicious. We weren't super hungry so we both got a bowl of their clam chowder and boy was it legit. They have a lot of similar things on the menu to Original fish -just a little more hip. Yes, it's the patio-child of Original Fish company but it's a lot less stuffy and it's more fun on the patio anyway. I have my eye on several things to try next time. The meal was a bit pricey for a lunch but well worth it for the food + service. We will definitely be back to see our girl, Priscilla, and to hang out on that patio. If it were happy hour, we would have been there much longer. Add to your list for lunch in Los Al for special occasions or a ladies lunch. Definitely recommend

So, my friend wanted to celebrate her birthday at this spot, and we figured a Saturday brunch would work best for us. We sat under the covered patio, which was cozy with comfy chairs and greenery. The server was helpful- friendly and full of good suggestions. I ended up with the Short Ribs and Biscuit Eggs Benedict, and while I forgot how runny the eggs are for this dish, the meal tasted great. My friend's lobster Cobb salad looked amazing as did some of the dishes I saw others getting.

Food was great. We ordered fresh salad and clam chowder; tomato caramelized salmon and smoked Chilean bass. I recommended the salmon and white clam chowder. Phone service and table service were excellent. We had questions specific for health reasons; they answered promptly from their chefs before we decided it's safe to dine. To-go boxes were generous. We chose to sit in the patio for live music despite the summer heat. Fresh food and cold water made us forget the heat; we also had good summer vibe from the live singer/electronic pianist - reminiscent 2000 mix. Will be returning here for more special dates with my girlfriend ‍‍

Friday. Early Happy Hour. Met up with a former coworker. Arrived early. Lots of parking. That changed later. Sat at one of the booths in the bar. Know that there are two restaurants connected - Off the Hook and the Fish Company. I wasn't specific and my friend took a minute to find me as he was looking for me at the bar at the Fish Company. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Pretty quiet at first however, by the time we left, it was filled up and getting loud. Everyone having a good time for Happy Hour. Includes drinks and food items. Service was great. Server was attentive, nice and fun. Both funny and professional too. Can't ask for much more in this department. The food was good. I enjoyed the oysters and how the brininess was balanced out by the grilled cheese. Also ordered fries and I'll just say all the serving platters were wiped clean. Really enjoyed my experience here and will hopefully be back soon to try food off the regular menu. I didn't look at it as I was there for Happy Hour but dishes looked and smelled great as they were being brought out to other tables.

Ordered simple fish and chips. It was $34 for 3 small oily pieces of fish. Unsalted fries. One tiny condiment of tartar sauce and 1 lemon wedge. Also asked for ketchup and it's not name brand, obviously knock off. Not worth it at all. Very disappointed

Went on Wednesday and we had the Wednesday special: A dozen of oysters + 2 bubbles only for $33. Also ordered: - Lobster Roll (generous chunks of lobsters, includes fries and salad) - Wild Chilean Seabass They have a cozy indoor with bar seating and tvs and a very nice patio outdoor seatings!

This place is lovely, family friendly need to visit if near the area. They have a live music, band, when we go around 7 pm for dinner and it's packed, but service is fast and friendly. The foods we ordered are all recommended and their all amazing and delicious.

We have been coming to Off The Hook for years and have always enjoyed our food. My one complaint is the service could be better. On Valentine's Day we went for lunch with our two kids, and our daughter slipped through the high chair as the chair was missing the middle strap.... Luckily we caught her before she got all the way through and to the ground. Fast forward to Mother's Day. We double checked the high chair this time and I re buckled the straps twice as they came undone, until AGAIN she slipped through and was stuck/almost to the ground. The buckle was broken. We informed the front desk and got a new high chair. The manager came by to check and was happy to see the baby was fine. But that was it... We definitely left with a sour taste in our mouth. A nice restaurant should do a little more to make sure their customers are taken care of and more importantly, children's seats are safe.

Great ambiance, nice live music. Lisa, our server, was good, but not excellent. Food is outstanding! Reasonable prices, good wine selections.

I guess you could call this a "side hustle" for the Original Fish Company. Located next door and much more casual that the parent restaurant. The menu is different but still has some favorites like the classic clam chowder (it's really good - my favorite is at Pour Judgment Pub in Newport, RI.) as well as fish & chips, etc. Service is reasonably good. The place is loud but comfortable. Inside seating is at bar, or high top table. There is outdoor covered patio. The Fish & Chips were very good. Short Rib Melt was excellent. Caesar salad was just ok. Overall nice menu.

I have been going to Original Fish co since I was very young. Since Off The Hook opened we love to come as my daughter is a guitar player and really loves the live music. You guys helped up celebrate their moving onto middle school last night. We had the best server and really enjoyed the music and I am very thankful I could show these girls and great night and introduce my daughters friends to oysters! The shrimp bucatini and halibut was outstanding as was the Pino Grigio and my little guy enjoyed his chicken tenders. We have been so many times we have all our menu faves memorized but we were able to show those and share those with her friends last night. All I can say is THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I would not recommend this place the service was horrible it took over an hour and a half to get our food from the time we ordered it. We asked about our order and were told it's on its way. When our food finally came several things were missing from our order. When we asked we were they were on their way but of course never showed up. When we got the bill the items that never made it out were already removed and we were told sorry for the inconvenience. We will not be returning.

The food and service was great. The issue was my cousin made reservations and they sent him a contract which he signed confirming our dinner. Unfortunately we had two late cancellations and they added $25 person for NO Show. Never have I ever experienced such a charge and I do a lot of business entertaining. I will say our server brought her manager over and they did remove the fee. This was appreciated but going forward they lost my business Az. Hope this post has them reevaluate this business prohibitive practice.

Wonderful night. Music, food. Fast seated, great services. Came here to get some good time music and food with my sis. A wonderful night and time to be out on a Friday night to enjoy the food and to relax.

OMG!! what can I say about this place other than It's me and my daughter's favorite place to go! I have been to this restaurant more times than I can remember! Each time they never disappoint! We know almost every server and each one has been the most kind, sweet and professional. I have come there so much most of the servers know me and my daughter and it's just such a peaceful and relaxing place to be. The live music is nice and the food is OFF THE HOOK yummy!! I love every dish I have tried. The calamari is by far the BEST! clam chowder the hot bread and the Short Ribs, burgers, and many other items I have had! Thank you for the great food and ambiance!! Me and my daughter just simply say this is OUR PLACE! this is our code word LOL.
