A 600-Mile Quest to Savor Japan’s Kissaten and Pizza Toast | Eater

"A quietly masterful kissaten run by a bespectacled longtime owner who has been making pizza toast for over four decades; his version is a marvel of technique: bread cut into long thirds and scored on the bottom with the crust mostly (but not completely) removed, topped with a light sweet tomato sauce, mozzarella, green peppers, onions, mushrooms and thin-sliced salami so that gentle tugs yield perfectly bite-sized, pizza-like nuggets while the trimmed crust can catch extra char for those who want it." - Craig Mod

An ideal transfer point when travelling around Kanagawa Prefecture. It has nice convenience stores and tip top service in almost all its outlets.

It is the terminal station of the Keihin Tohoku Line. It is possible to transfer to the Tokaido Line and the Yokosuka Line. There is a Shonan Monorail station a short walk away. The Shonan Monorail is convenient for getting to Enoshima.

Convenient station. If you have a JR Pass you can take the Narita Express free from Tokyo or Shinagawa to get here quickly then take the local train to Kamakura

Google
A station that connects the JR Yokosuka, Negishi, Shonan monorail, Narita Express, and the Shonan-Shinjuku lines. It's pretty huge for a rural station you know. Also it's O-fu-NA. Not O-fu-NE. W/E right.

Atrocious!!! Massively delayed by staff's incompetence! Station signs are headache - this is like a spider web. Truly a nightmare to try and find your train. Tokyo should forget Olympics!!!

Yelp
Convenient access to elevators for travelers with heavy luggage. There's a Starbucks inside a department store at the South Exit. Plenty Japanese eateries at the station too. For day-trip, there are coin-operated luggage deposit cabinets of different sizes.

Yelp
Nice station. There are a ton of shops, cafes, and restaurants. The station looks new or recently remodeled. There is a restaurant made by Ippudo that I want to try next time I'm back in the station. If you needs transfer to the Ofuna Monorail station, it's a 3 minute walk. Follow the signs. It's pretty easy to find.
