For the short-attention-span crowd:
PROs: Great food, great service, great prices.
CONs: Limited seating, kitchen is medium to slowish.
Long version:
Dining solo, walked in on a whim about noon on a weekday. Place was full but they have a tiny, 4-seat counter and a space was open. This put me close to the noise and activity of the waitstaff hustle and bustle, but also guaranteed me always-topped-off coffee and water, so a win, especially as the coffee was top-notch. Sesame chicken sandwich was wonderful with a generous side of kettle-style potato chips. Only bummer was that sometime between when I scanned the specials and finished lunch, the blueberry pie was erased from the blackboard. Said I ruefully to my wonderful waitress, "Guess I should have ordered the pie when I walked in!" She laughed and confirmed it always goes quickly. Two minutes later she put in front of me the last piece they had deemed "too ugly" to serve. And it was a mess, but who cares, especially when it's topped with delicious, clearly hand-whipped cream?!? There was a bit of a wait after ordering, so not for the half-hour-lunch crowd, but my waitress (did someone call her C.C.?) chatted when she could so the time flew. Just a FABULOUS waitress and tasty food. My only regret after examining the omelet specials was that I'd already eaten breakfast -- they sounded amazing. Ah well -- something to look forward to!
