Oh! Mexico

We’ve been to Oh Mexico twice now, a couple of years apart, and it’s been consistently great both times. The restaurant itself is so fun and festive, cute details everywhere. From the lighted woven lamps and glass orange star hanging lights to the patterned floors, tiled poles, and playful wall art, the space is full of colour and character. The teal barstools pop beautifully, and there’s a mix of booth and table seating, plus indoor and outdoor options. It’s one of those places where you can’t help but look around and take it all in. As for the food, delicious across the board. Today we tried the nacho salsa sampler, Mexican ceviche, carne asada tacos served with rice and refried beans, and the tortilla soup. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and well-prepared. A great spot for tasty Mexican food in a lively, inviting setting. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Miami Beach.

I recently revisit this restaurant after some time I was delighted to find that the food and service remains the same as perfecto. Delicious as ever with consistent quality. Diana Gonzalez was our waitress. Great customer service. I look forward to dining here soon definitely worth coming back.

I’ve been coming to Miami for several years and without a doubt Oh! Mexico is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Miami! Being Mexican, standards are probably a little higher for Mexican food than they are for others. We’ve branched out to other areas and keep coming back to this restaurant, specifically the one on Washington Ave. To say the least, this is the THIRD DAY IN A ROW we’ve ate at Oh! Mexico during this trip! Our server was Augustina and she was the best. She suggested menu items and seemed to know all the details pretty well. We chatted as if we had known each other for a long time, it was great! Everything was amazing, from our server to the ambiance to the food! 100000/10 recommended ♥️🫡

Hidden gem in the Miami Art Deco district! This spot has such a beautiful, bright, and chill vibe — perfect for unwinding after a South Beach day. The margaritas are next level — made with real fruit and hands down the best we’ve ever had! 🍹 Their nachos are homemade, loaded with fresh ingredients, and so delicious. Our waitress Azul was so pleasant and attentive, which made the experience even better. A must-stop if you’re in the area.

This is my second time after few years visiting this restaurant and the service and food was as good as the previous time. Our server Toni was very pleasant and knowledgeable with recommendations about the food we ordered. Food was great quality and service was very quick. Would highly recommend and return when I’m back to the area

Great place ! Very welcoming ! Very authentic Mixican , during Halloween stuff dressed up in costumes, creating an amazing vibe. Diana, took care of us, so sweet , kind and knowledgeable . She suggested to try tacos El Pastor, absolutely delicious. Will come back again! Strongly recommend!

Isela was an amazing waitress. She was very attentive and ensured that my order was correct. She kept checking up on me to ensure everything was good. This is my 3rd visit to Oh Mexico! The Jalapeño margarita was really good and the tacos 🌮 were delicious 😋.

Azul was amazing she was friendly recommendations were perfect! We really enjoyed our experience together with her!

Delicious. The margaritas here were fantastic. My group ordered the jalapeno margarita and the kiwi. The ones pictured are the medium size. We had the option for sugar or salt. I tasted both and the jalapeno was both sweet and spicy while the kiwi balanced out the citrus perfectly. The food was equally incredible. I had the birria tacos. The meat was perfectly cooked with the right amount of cheese and onion. The sauce was delicious and it came with rice and beans. My partner had the cheese enchiladas. We came for an early dinner. Service was prompt and attentive. The outdoor seating has great views of the park. Plenty of things to see while you eat.

We came here for a late lunch earlier today (on a Saturday around 2pm) and loved it. Thomas was our waiter and took care of us. The food was delicious! Definitely liked the guacamole, and the quesabirria was good with a large portion of protein. The shrimp quesadilla was solid too. Prices were also reasonable for downtown Miami right by the beach, and we were seated without a reservation too. We would come back here again.

Stopped in when we got caught in a downpour. Had some nachos and margaritas. Loved the veggie nachos. Normally not a fan of cheese sauce on nachos. They were some of the best tasting nachos I have had and not heavy and greasy like most places. Highly recommend.

Good place to stop in for a drink. I ordered wrong though. My drink was way too spicy and had to switch with Husband but he loved it. We weren't hungry but it was a refreshing comfortable bar experience.

We passed by this location every day while in Miami and decided to have our final meal here as we loved Mexican food. We sat outside which if I was to go again I would seat inside. We started with the guacamole and ceviche which both were very disappointing as they both were lacking flavor. We also had the elote which was really good and the perfect amount of spiciness. I had the tacos birria for my main which was good but not the best tacos I've had. The service was great very friendly and helpful. Our server Abril was attentive and very proficient even with a full section.

Kevin was like, "woah!" And I was like, "really?" And he was like, "yup!" And honestly, I'm happy whenever anyone bites into some food and it's better than they expected. Makes me happy. He loved his shrimp tacos, I had some of his picadillo, he yelled at me, we laughed about it, this is love.

This location of Oh! Mexico is on Washington at the corner Espanola Way. Prime location for a lively, colorful Mexican cantina in a fun, touristy part of South Beach. A huge selection of tequilas and mezcals to get the night started. Campechano tacos were flavorful and hit the spot. They also have 4 or so sauces of varying taste and heat intensity so there's a sauce for everyone. Outdoor seating is great for people watching but can get windy.

Ambiance was cute, the wait for a table was not that long Food we got: - Ceviche: It had a red sauce ceviche that I have never tried before, and this is the only way I would love to eat ceviche now. Seafood was super fresh! 5/5 - Nachos: I loved the green sauce and the queso that they put on top 5/5 I know this is a big chain restaurant in Miami, but honestly it did wow me and I was nervous at first. Highly recommend.

A delicious first meal in Miami Beach that we stumbled upon when we first arrived. We sat outdoors in the shade and I enjoyed a deliciously cold skinny marg while pursuing the menu. I opted for the 3 shrimp tacos which were delicious after a long flight. As with some of the other reviews, I thought that the meal was overpriced for lunch and was hoping for some complimentary chips but those were extra. Still its a good place to stop and grab a bite in the area

The magic that is their Ceviche Tulum! I was convinced that it was some kind of sepia/squid ink preparation, but that's the alchemy of charred peppers and lots of acid. My mouth is still tingling. It is a must try!

Love the red sangria. It's addictive. Tortilla soup is excellent. That's first thing I got when I arrived as I don't get to indulge in authentic tortilla soup often. They now have an $18 lunch special that's a good deal. I think it goes til 4. And on Taco Tuesdays you can get veggie tacos. It doesn't seem like veggie tacos are offered on any other day. They have expanded to Ocean Drive and if you bring your receipt, you'll get a discount.

Tasty food and great vibes! The place is so colorful and is so fun. For drinks, we ordered margaritas (cucumber, watermelon, and classic) - the watermelon margarita was amazing and our favorite! For food, we ordered chips and salsa, al pastor tacos, carne asada tacos, and enchiladas. The carne asada tacos were the star - the steak was so well cooked and so tasty. Prices were kinda high, but in line with what I'd expect for south beach restaurants. Overall, one of the better Mexican spots I've been to and would def come back!

5star 100%! Delicious food, beautifully served perfect portions! I sat at the bar was welcomed immediately by a bartender, he explained all the specials. I got spicy margarita, it was one of the best i ever had. Tacos were great! Came with beans on the side. I definitely recommend this place and will be back again. Inside was nice and clean.

The stuff is very friendly but the food is terriblemakes you feel like after you eat it , even the guacamole was bad doesn't taste fresh. We went there today, such a disappointment

Matias was our server. Food was extremely appetizing and the flavor was poppin'. I recommend a mango lemonade (best mango lemonade I've had in ny life) and the birria tacos. I tried them at another restaurant and they were not so good, but the ones here totally changed my perspective on them. the guacamole is a chefs kiss and a great choice for an appetizer. i definitely recommend this place .

What a shame - this place used to be fun and tasty! It is a great location, friendly service and terrible food! We kept it simple - tacos. How hard could that be on a busy Sunday afternoon (April 7, 2024)? Apparently tacos are beyond the kitchen's abilities. Both the shrimp tacos and shrimp tacos were inedible. I am not sure what the protein actually was, but I doubt a stray dog could even stomach it. Tasty margaritas at least (and one smart friend ordered a good cheeseburger!) - maybe just drink here until the kitchen staff gets replaced for busy season.

Service was great!We had a young lady waiting on us.She was fantastic! The food is very good! Everything was delicious! Miami Is the place to be !

Our server, Matias, was great and attentive throughout our meal. I used to be in restaurant management, so I know a good server when I see one, and he definitely is good one (not to mention really cute- that doesn't hurt either). The food was just alright, could have been served more warm & portions larger...but good service always surpasses food.

Used to be great, but now a couple disappointing experiences in a row. Dirty silverware. The guacamole was okay but the chips did not seem fresh. Here is the dumbest thing: the menu has chicken or cheese enchiladas. Three come in an order. Can I get two chicken and one cheese? "No, it's chicken OR cheese enchiladas. They cannot be combined." The only logical explanation I can think of is if they come frozen in packs of three and the kitchen doesn't want to break up a set.

Very friendly staff. We ordered margaritas and chips and salsa and the tuna tostadas. The tuna tostadas were very flavorful and delicious. The guacamole was good as well. But nothing outstandingly different from any other guacamole I've ever had. I enjoyed their margaritas. They were well made. But if you're the type of person who likes your margaritas nice and sweet, this is probably not the place for you. It's more for a real deal margarita. I got buzzed off the small one. My husband who has a rather higher tolerance than me got buzzed off of the medium one. Why three stars? This place needs a little bit more maintenance for the bathroom. Both bathrooms had issues. They had those European style low flow toilets. One of them was over flooding and the other one needed to be reset. Good thing I knew how to do that. Otherwise, very nice ambiance. Near the beach. I definitely come back again for another cocktail.

Our server Ulises was great! Food was delicious! We had Guacamole Red snapper with rice and side salad - this fish was cooked to perfection! This was a well balanced meal. Steak and enchilada with mole was good too! Margaritas are nice and strong! Great place to people watch and enjoy good music.

Everything was delicious! We got three kinds of tacos and shared them - they were all amazing! All of the salsas in the sampler were great - the spiciest had some heat to it! To cool down, we had the tequila pops which were a fun twist on a traditional margarita. For dessert we had the churros which were tasty!

Just understand going in that it's a complete tourist trap. If you don't expect much the ambiance is nice. Also don't bother getting a double margarita, even as a double I couldn't taste the alcohol.

Fun Mexican restaurant located on the edge of Española Way! A great variety of tequilas, lots of tasty food options, and wonderfully sweet staff. We had the enchiladas (chicken + verde) and tacos. Absolutely delicious! Both were served with large portions of rice and beans. We also ordered the medium sized watermelon margarita (YUM) Complimentary chips and salsa were provided. Great place to try out; expensive but nice for a date night.

Took the day off and spent it at the beach like a tourist! I normally bring my own food to the beach or hit up a sandwich shop but decided to try something a little different so we walked down Espanola way and ran into this adorable gem! The place is clean and the environment is so refreshing that I truly felt like I was on vacation. The service -- impeccable! The hostess was so cheerful and didn't judge my beach attire. Our server, Evelyn, truly made our day. She had the best recommendation and best demeanor!!! She was so sweet!!! I'm really impressed with the recommendations (nachos and the watermelon margarita). I would def recommend this to anyone going to the beach or visiting South Beach.

All style. Little substance. Full of pretty people who provide warm service, but the food and drinks are decidedly subpar. Worst birria tacos in Miami. Not made with love or attention. If it weren't for the clueless tourists from the Midwest flocking to this place, this joint would fold. Avoid.

Cute spot at the "front" of Espanola Way. We got the lunch special of chips and salsa, three tacos, and rice & beans. The chicken tacos were amazing and the salsa flight was delicious and interesting. Can recommend that lunch because it was tasty and reasonable. The regular menu seemed overpriced. The highway robbery was $26 for a medium sized margarita. Marg was good but ridiculously priced, even for South Beach.

Don't forget to stop by at oh! Mexico and ask for Ulises The besttttt server in this place So sweet, Smart and nice person to talk to! Food was good we tried the fajita mix chips and steak and we enjoyed it! Margaritas we got La vieja Double and it was on point!

This is the best Mexican restaurant ever but they up graded the menu and it was a bit more expensive. Than late year this time everything is charged separately but who's complaining the food is really amazing. The shrimp tacos are so good every year I come here I always have them there so good. Better than any spot I ever had here or in Manhattan. This here is a try me spot for sure if you come to Miami come here you won't be disappointed.

The food was delicious!!!!!! So flavorful and fresh especially the rice and beans. The kiwi margarita was good but needed a little more kiwi flavor. What made it even better ......PABLO!! He was the most friendliest waiter. He was attentive but not overbearing and smiles the whole time. I opted to sit inside this time since I got stuck in the rain the other day at another restaurant. There was good music and the place was vibrant

3.15 One of the first places I visited in Miami. Below-average Mexican food, nothing too bad or too good. 50% tourist trap. Prices are higher than you would expect, but that location is prime. $4.50 for a diet coke is no bueno. Included service charge of 20% doesn't excite me as well, especially since it wasn't up to par. Pass!

I have eaten all over the world. I love people and I love a great food. Occasionally there is a place that surprises me and it is always because the people that work in that place care about those they are serving. Oh! Mexico is such a place. There are many restaurants in Miami Beach and South Beach and we all have experienced the ones where the service is, "Oh, another tourist. Whatever!" Oh! Mexico, is so different and it is because of the staff and two stand out. First and most importantly is Agostina. Her smile starts your evening by lighting up the world around you. When she knew I was learning Spanish she immediately spoke Spanish with me and helped me when I was unsure. Did I mention her smile? It is truly heaven because it starts in her heart. I only have a son, but if I had a daughter I would want her to show her what wonderful is and to touch the world with her light. She suggested shrimp when I was going to have salmon. The shrimp is exquisite! Then my girlfriend asked for some type of salsa that was a bit spicy. Agostina brought four and explained them to us. The one most spicy was so delicious I could not stop. There are only three red wines here, but don't be fooled. The Malbec is fantastic and I know my red wines. Whenever we needed something Agostina appeared right on time. She engaged with us and made us feel as if we were not just another customer. We felt special. There was also a waiter who I watched help a blind man on the street. The waiter went into his pockets and I watched as he counted out bills to give the man and then he gave them to him. Because I make more than a waiter, I went to the waiter and asked him to give some money to the man. In one night, two service people made my evening wonderful. I have five more days in Miami and I will try other restaurants. I will return to Oh Mexico because of Agostina and one young man who cared for another. Did I mention the food is world class. If you eat seafood, take Agostina's recommendation and get the shrimp (camarones)! They are some of the best I have ever had. Thank you Oh! Mexico, you made our evening perfect.

Came super late on cinco de mayo. The tacos are authentic but super tiny. The service was nice but definitely not worth 20% service charge being included in my bill and the ambiance is typical Miami South Beach vibe. I came here because they had a vegan option but I was still hungry after I ate so I had to go eat again haha! I got the cauliflower tacos. They were ok, but definitely not filling. Sub par food at best. Go to Taco Rico if you want a bang for your buck.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised after stopping here for dinner. It's in a very busy and albeit touristy part of south beach, but the ambience was amazing and food packs a punch. We sat at the bar and service was phenomenal. We started with the chorizo fundido then split steak tacos. Everything was AMAZING. The blue corn tortillas and fresh homemade salsas were on point. I'd go back here in a heart beat. I've been dreaming of this food for two weeks now!!

I love Oh Mexico! Such a cute location on espagnola way, the food never disappoints me (at this location, the one on the beach wasn't as good) the guac and chips are delicious, the Mole sauce is divine, amazing carne asada tacos although everything is pricey and portions are small for what you pay, keep that in mind. That's why I gave 4 stars. But the service is always great, and the food is always delicious very consistent.

This place was awesome!! Antonella was our waitress and she was amazing!! We never had to ask for anything, instead she would ask us if we needed anything before we needed it. If I lived in the area I would be a returning customer just to be served by Antonella. The food was amazing, the drinks were equally amazing.

My family and I were just in Miami for a couple days and decided to try this place out. It's definitely a tourist spot, which is great for people-watching as it's located right in the hub of the Miami Beach strip. Food was okay. I think this might be more of a fun place to come for margaritas and such vs trying to grab authentic Mexican food.

3.5 stars? Came here the other day, they only had seats outside but luckily we sat under the shade. For drinks we ordered a frozen passion fruit margarita & a frozen pomegranate margarita. Honestly I liked the passion fruit one better, my pomegranate margarita was very icy compared to the passion fruit one which had a smoothie-like texture. We ordered 2 appetizers- nachos with chorizo and we tried the ceviche tulum. We asked the server which ceviche he recommended, the ceviche tulum or acapulco and he recommended the tulum. So we decided to go with that. The nachos were a pretty good portion, but just disappointed there wasn't much meat in it. And the ceviche was just okay. I was actually surprised when the ceviche came out, the color was black! But they said the color is from the charred onion. I've had ceviche before so I know what it tastes like. It has a slight sour taste from the lime but honestly the lime in this dish was overwhelming! I think they put too much... I was excited to try it with a charred taste from the onion, but was disappointed in the outcome.

I went with my wife and kids. We shared the chips and salsa sampler. All of the salsas were very good and tasted fresh. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, which was cooked perfectly. My wife had fish tacos, which she enjoyed. I only had to take 1 star away because our waiter seemed like we were bothering him when we asked for extra napkins and sour cream. He was in the back/kitchen area most of the time we were in the restaurant. Fortunately for him, the restaurant had an automatic 18% gratuity, so he still got a substantial tip.

Service was a little slow! Menu is limited. Food is excellent though. Margaritas are tremendous and the atmosphere is top notch.

So many places in this area, we ended up here and were so happy! The drinks were stellar, the food delicious, with amazing salsas, and Hugo, our waiter, was so attentive to our needs. It was very busy, but we never felt neglected. A very fun place to spend some time. Try the marguaritas, they are phenomenal:)

After a morning of walking around looking at everything before the city woke up we found ourselves needing refueled with food and water. Stopped in for some tacos and guacamole. The guacamole was fresh and tasty as well as the fish tacos. Might go as far as saying some of the best tacos I've had in a long while. The salsa was awesome as well. Service was good but as always they do add 20% gratuity automatically so make sure you understand what your tipping or if your wondering what the surcharge is that's it.

Charming location and decent service but extremely overpriced. 2 beers ($9 each) + 1 margarita ($17) + 1 chips/guacamole ($15) cost $64.50 (including auto 20% tip and sales tax).

Me encanta la comida de ustedes un sabor riquísimo pero tengo una observación muy grande e importante unos meses para acá hemos pedido tacos pero la tortilla es demasiado mala los tacos se rompen parece que estamos comiendo chilaquiles y cuando te dan tortillas para el molcajete no saben ricas no tienen ese olorcito de tortilla mexicana.

This Oh! Mexico location in Miami Beach is a great place to go for delicious and well prepared food and drinks in a cool and relaxed atmosphere. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need for the best meal.

Tried Oh!Mexico at a different location and it was great! Stopped by this place and the food was not the same at all! Dry chicken, not much flavor. Fish tacos are frozen stick fish, the other location had a sample of salsa that came with our food, not here

Matias was an amazing server, attentive, friendly, and quick with his service. He was a pleasure to dine with. 5 stars on service and ambiance. Didn't give 5 stars as food was good but not exceptional. Drinks were STRONG! Def would recommend, is vegetarian and vegan friendly.
