Oh Mexico Ocean Drive

Decided to stop in for dinner while staying the night in South Beach. Service was fast and the food was great. Super sad to hear this location is closing next week but there are a few other locations near by. To start we ordered the nachos with Chicken. Incredible amount of toppings - wish we had more chips for it all! We ordered a variety of tacos: Shrimp Enchipotlado, Shrimp Gobernador, and the Carne Asada. Each were flavorful and packed with filling. And finally we had the Mole Enchiladas. The Mole was probably some of the richest I’ve ever had. Love Mole anything but not sure I’d order it again here, just not my taste. Would highly recommend stopping by before they close, the atmosphere is unmatched!

If I could give 6 stars for the service, I will do that for sure. The waitress Eric and Caren - just incredible… the best waitress that I’ve met in Miami, so professional! The food was AMAZING! It was one of the best restaurants in this area. The salad remind me about the tastes of Italy, Spain and Greece. Perfect flan for desert and churros. I never ate the salad so tasty like this one. Good music, clean toilets. One thing that should work on- too have more lights and try too look another than other restaurants because they are just awesome😍 They also give me free seeds in sugar(?) because I fell in love with this one. I’m sure that I will come back many times here. I recommend this restaurant for everyone. 😋

While in Miami, a friend of mine and I stopped here for dinner. When we arrived, we sat right away. We had a nice young lady as our server. I started with red wine, which was tasty. For my meal, I got the shrimp tacos, which was delicious. My friend got the cauliflower and fish tacos. She preferred the fish over the cauliflower. My friend also had a tres leches dessert, but it was super sweet. The bill included gratuity. All in all we had a good experience.

Good place to grab some mexican food on Ocean Drive. The service was a little slow. We had the same restaurant chain right by our hotel and the atmosphere there was definitely better. The place was newer. We had the nachos and i had a salad. We also ordered the pulled pork tacos - they were the best!

Went to “oH! Mexico” restaurant with family because we had vouchers for welcoming cocktail from staying at Penguin Hotel. Great location on the pedestrian part of Ocean Drive. Friendly and efficient staff, even tough they where rushing and running everywhere. Cocktails were so good that we decided to have dinner there. Everything was very good at honest price, we had a very good time…arrived early, left much later!!!

Incredible, simply Incredible! From the moment we walked in, the ineffable qualities of a truly exceptional restaurant became apparent. The service is a current of professional individuals, all working together to provide an exceptional experience. This level of attitude I would expect from a 5-star establishment. The food is exceedingly fresh and creative, yet a tribute to cultural traditions. Every dish is delicious and inspiring! Everyone visiting Miami needs to experience La Cerveceria!

We had an absolute blast w our server Mikka during our girls trip. The food was absolutely delicious and the margaritas were perfection. Thank you so much for a lovely time.

Yummy food!! The guacamole with steak was fab! We ordered Margaritas and were asked about which size. We chose Medium and my goodness - the size!!! We didn’t manage to finish them and were very drunk when leaving. The whole lunch experience was fun, but we would liked to be informed the drinks were veeeery pricy - 35 and 45 USD each. This wasn’t stated in the menu. But all in all, we will keep this memory in a fond place!

They are walking distance from out hotel, so it made it and easy choice to go here. My wife was sleeping but I was hungry so I walked over. I sat outside along the sidewalk and the evening weather was extremely pleasant. That made the long wait for a waiter to come by not as unpleasant as it could have been. I ordered a medium Cadillac margarita, chips and salsa sampler, and the Baja chicken tacos. The salsa is in order of heat and I found the middle and second to last to be the best, although they all had great flavor. The Baja tacos were delicious as well, the chicken was seasoned and cooked just right. A second margarita was needed to finish the meal. My only reason for 4 starts instead of 5, is because even though I enjoyed the meal, I cannot fathom how it cast me $120. Not being from the area, realizing that this is South Beach, this is most certainly a one and done for me.

We were enchanted with the food, service and hospitality. Our super server Jeff was attentive, friendly, polite and informative. The ambiance is perfectly suited with gorgeous views. Thank you for your service.

Ordered take: Tacos Al pastor $20 Side orders rice and beans and 2 guacs. Chips and salsa assortment. Came out of kitchen and 2 minutes back to hotel room. Tacos beans and rice cold. Guacamole sides $3 the size of salsa containers. Not the best tasting (not the worst) but a rip off for over $45! On Ocean so maybe better in person but...this place not 4 stars! Maybe they think takeout deserves less care than dine in? How did they survive this long?

My family and I were walking down Ocean Drive, and we were getting hungry when we spotted Oh Mexico! My dad was in the mood for tacos, so after perusing the menu, we decided that this spot fit the bill. We were seated within minutes, as it was early dinner-time, around 5:30. The outdoor front patio is really cute and nicely decorated. When I walked inside to the use the restroom, I noticed the interior is pretty nice, as well. For food, we ordered a mix of tacos, quesadillas, and some potato flautas. All of the food was great, and so were the drinks! We loved our Tequila Pops, so fruity and refreshing! Both the passion fruit strawberry flavor and the mango peach flavors were really good. Our server, Roberto was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this spot for some good food and drinks!

So, the girlfriend and I were in Miami for some vacation and stopped here for dinner. This place is on Ocean Drive, and it was better than I expected. If you have never been to South Beach, the restaurants are very aggressive as they all try to capitalize on people walking by and tourists. For an appetizer, we went with fresh guacamole. It was good but not as good as mine. It was good, though. We went with the Crispy Fish taco for our dinner and the Baja Chicken taco. The food was good and seasoned well, but the experience differed from what we expected. The staff was friendly, but they certainly do not cater to you as they are trying to encourage other patron to try their establishment. Another thing that I am starting to notice, especially since I have been out lately, is this standard 20% gratuity that is automatically added to the bill. I assume this is a byproduct of the pandemic, but I wouldn't say I like it. The staff is getting paid regardless of whether they provide good service or not. This may change my choices of eating out in the future. I would still go check them out because the food is good, but be expected, to get your food, and that's it. Y'all be easy now! Drew

My mother and I came here for dinner while we were on Ocean Drive visiting Miami Beach. I checked this spot out on Yelp and it had mix reviews but we decided to try it out. We ordered the Chips and Salsa sampler that consisted of Crispy White Corn Tortilla Chips served with Pico De Gallo, Green Tomatillo Salsa, homemade Orejona Salsa, Red Chile de Arbiol Salsa, and 12 chiles Salsa. The chips were homemade and cooked fresh but some of the salsas were a hit or miss. Some were a bit to spicy which I don't eat spicy foods but all in all, a good sampler. I ordered the Taco Birria which consisted of Slow Braised Beef, melted Mexican Cheese Birria Broth, Onion, and Cilantro. As I bit into the the taco, I really didn't get that flavor from the meat and I felt like the taco was missing something. I'm used to Birria Taco's being soaked in that delicious sauce and it was on the blain side. My mother ordered the Fresh Seared Tuna Loin Tostada and the Ceviche Tostada which she said was okay but tasted better after her drink. Lol. The service was okay but could have been better. The price for food wasn't that bad and the restaurant definitely has a vibe since you're right across Miami Beach with a terrific view.

Staff are friendly, food is delicious, service was a little slow but music and ambiance are great. Would definitely come back to try more things.

AMAZING. my boyfriend and i stayed on ocean drive for a week and came here i don't even know how many times it was so good. i have the fish tacos everytime which were so good. it is right in the beach and has absolutely gorgeous views from the patio. the servers were super knowledgeable on the menu and patient with us s as we were just having our abs going out amazing margaritas.

Great food. Fast services. I really like the mixed Fajitas, and shrimp tacos. Our waiter Jose is patient with our ordering.

Location couldn't be better, Ocean Drive right near our hotel. Location and love of Mexican food is what got us there. We ordered Salsa Sampler - chips were tasty, salsas were quite good. I ordered the Fajito Taco, which was fine. Soft blue corn tortillas were a nice surprise to see on the menu! I can't remember what the others in my party ordered, but they were happy with their dishes. I was disappointed in the service - I waited until I got home to do the review, which was a good thing because it appears that our lack of service here is pretty much what we experienced while in Miami Beach. We were never asked how our meal was, nor were we asked if we wanted another drink (we would have ordered, had we been asked). They waited quite long to approach us after we were done eating, I do appreciate that they didn't want to rush us but by the time our wait person finally checked back in wall we wanted was the check. I was in the restaurant business for a number of years, as well as being the child of restauranteurs, they not only lose out on income with this kind of service but no matter how good the food is I'll likely not go back to any of these restaurants because we did feel neglected at each of them. And since this seems to be how restaurants on Ocean Drive operate, I'm not sure that this is where I'll want to spend my next MIA vacation. Overall the food was good, we weren't disappointed with anything that we ordered.

The 2 fajitas we ordered were good but the tacos weren't so great. It was taco Tuesday but when we wanted to order, we were told we would only get the 3 tacos, without rice and beans. The service was okay but our server was not attentive, few times we had to ask the other server to help us. Even though the place wasn't busy, our server seemed to hang out with the other workers. There was no ambiance except the beautiful designs and decorations but the place was almost empty, there were 2-3 tables besides us. The total price wasn't bad but when the added the taxes and service fee, we ended up paying $175 for 2 fajitas and 2 taco plates. We didn't have any drinks, just 2 cokes. If I were in South Beach again l wouldn't visit this restaurant again

The vibe, view, food, drinks were amazing, but it is slightly on the pricey side (considering is it on the South Beach). The server was really polite and suggested us the food and drinks.

Literally best Mexican restaurant I've been to in awhile. Eric was an amazing bartender and the margaritas are fresh and absolutely amazing.

This near branch of 'Oh Mexico' is right next door to the Marriott Pulse Hotel (so in a really popular touristy area, with a lot of foot traffic), so we stopped in right when they opened at noon for lunch. Summary: Really, really good, well-executed food with decent prices comparable to the area. Started off with a bit of confusion about what type of water we wanted...just wanted simple glasses of ice water. Ended up getting still, bottled water in glasses...reminded me of my mistake when dining in Europe and asking for 'water' and getting bottled water that you had to pay for. Sent it back, and wondered how I could have been more clearer: Server: "something to drink?" Me: "Water, pls." Server: "still or bubbles" (he might have said mineral or carbonated). Me: "definitely still, just still, tap." (I probably should have emphasized 'tap', or just be uncouth and say 'free'). Server: do you want a bottle. Me: (at this point, I thought he was being kind and would give a carafe/bottle so we could refill our own glasses). "Yes, that would be great" He came back with an opened bottle of still, european water in a bottle. I realized the mistake, got irritated at the situation, and just said I wanted free, ice-water. But he was good about it, and came back with ice water a bit later. The funny thing is that we had to ask to get our empty glasses refilled (never offered), and when it was, it was done through a bottle (just like the kind that a server would leave for us in a US italian restaurant to self-fill our water). We ordered two things, and both were excellent. The quesabirria ($22) has choice of corn/flour tortilla filled with beef birria and cheese, grilled in fat until it is crispy on the outside and melty on the inside...coming with a side of consume for dipping. It would normally have cilantro and diced onions mixed with the meat and cheese, but we asked for it on the side. Because the tortilla had been dipped in some sort of grease (hopefullly the consume), it was crispy (almost crunchy) and provided a great texture between all the ingredients. The side of rice and black mashed beans was also very tasty. The chorrizo nachos ($20), had great, thicky tortilla chips on top of black bean dip, and was expertly assembled with queso blanco, guac, crema, sliced jalapenos, diced tomatoes, topped with optional chorizo crumbles. All the ingredients were excellent, well mixed together...each bite providing all the flavor profiles that nachos should provide. It's full table service, so they will bring out your bill to you and you can pay at your table (I really love the portable pay units that a lot of restaurants are using these days). Note they put a 20% tip (calling it a service charge) for any party size, but it's clearly marked on the given receipt and quite reasonable to do for a full service restaurant (which this is) that a lot of tourists that are not used to tipping, would frequent. Just make sure you don't unintentionally double-tip. Service was OK, had plenty of staff to take care of patrons, and it never got that busy when we were there. Small annoyance: we got to choose our spot when we arrived, so went near the side that wasn't that crowded and remained not crowded through-out our visit....well that area ended up being pretty high-traffic (even though it was away from the main entrance) of servers coming/going AND where they would sometime congregate to socialize (and we would overhear their conversation). Not nearly as bad as sitting right next to a bathroom entrance, but not necessary when the restaurant isn't full.

We went to this place for lunch. Service was timely and friendly. We ordered Ceviche and tacos. Both very delicious. We didn't like the color of the ceviche. It didn't have the bright colors of an excellent ceviche. Also, a little bit overpriced. But almost all the restaurants in the south beach look overpriced for a guy like me who comes from the fabulous steel city. Overall, we liked our lunch experience in this beautiful restaurant.

Truly surprised how much I enjoyed my lunch considering it was right on South Beach. My server & service was really good & fast with a great view.

It's a good spot. I got the shrimp tacos. Rice was nicely seasoned and the watermelon Margarita was HUGE!!!!

This is hands-down, the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been too. . The location is fantastic too. This part of Ocean Drive is now closed to cars so it's very peaceful. People strolling down the road and riding their bikes down the road. The park is right across the street and then the ocean. The ceviche was the best. Had the most unique amazing flavors that I've ever experienced. They also had a fantastic mole chicken to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff was great to quick service friendly and nice.

The service was nice, but the food is not authentic Mexican food. The food was a 7 out of 10. The nachos were a nice American- Mexican fusion. I liked the taste, as an American appetizer. I ordered the molcajete and the steak was delicious as a medium rare steak. The sauce was nice. However, I did not like the chorizo served with it. It's not the traditional chorizo served with a molcajete, but the rest of it was delicious. If you're in the area and want a quick bite or are craving Mexican food then go for it because you're not going to find anything else around!

Food was excellent and the service by Jose was great !!! We had nacho and chicken tacos. Must eat while in Miami.

We enjoyed leisurely delicious food last night at Oh! Mexico on Ocean Dr with Lea as our server. We sat looking out at Lumus Park enjoying the evening fresh air. We had Double Margaritas, very delicious guacamole and Birria tacos. Lea was attentive but not pushy allowing us to take our time and enjoy the experience!

Do you know when you walk into a Mexican restaurant and the first thing you get is incredible chips for your dip and order some Guakamole yo-yo headed for a good experience there. Margaritas were incredible the food everybody you are a different items that we ended up eating off each other's plates just to taste it the work is the wait is the everybody work? Is it one unit team we had an excellent time and for South Beach the prices are really reasonable. I must say it's my pick of the week give it a try you'll love it.

Margaritas are very good, also very pricey. Try to go at happy hour. Food was ok. Overpriced like most places on Miami Beach.

Find another location or choose another restaurant. Great food, Disrespectful service Wrong food for one person in my party, had to stop dinner midway waiting in water we ordered when we first sat down. Server refused to bring check after asking 3 times and stated policy is they have to clean table before bringing check. So we had to wait even longer. I'm local and won't be bringing my family or my frequent guests back here. So many things wrong and no acknowledgment.

Food was amazing, so good!! We ate dinner there twice during our time in South Beach. Our waitress, Luciana, was the best! The mixed fajita's and chips and salsa sampler were so good! I highly recommend!!

Just had an awesome time at 'Oh, Mexico'! The food was seriously amazing, bursting with flavors that made my taste buds dance. The atmosphere was a blast, and the service from Lea was top-notch! Can't wait to go back for more.

The decoration of the place is very beautiful and represents Mexican culture, also the service was really fast . The drinks and food were very tasty. I would return to this place delighted.

Stopped in on our first night. Got seated promptly. I had the crispy fish tacos; my spouse had the chicken tacos. The fish tacos were pretty good - ample pieces of fish, topped with cabbage. The chicken tacos were very poor. Small cubes of dried out chicken. I also had a very pricey bottle of domestic beer. Overall, I thought the prices were a bit steep, especially considering the quality of the food.

IMHO..... this is the best Mexican food in South Beach. We ordered the salsa sampler( which is a must), the tampiqueno steak that came with a cheese enchilada and the Molcajete. Everything was delicious!! Service is really good. Located on Ocean Drive (which is very touristy and overrated, I think) but a very cute spot. We come to Miami often and go to a lot of Mexican restaurants because we're from California and I'm always craving Mexican food. Everything I've tasted here has been very good! I was so full but wanted to keep eating because it was that good. I highly recommend this place!

Very friendly staff food was ok I'm Mexican so wasn't to original for me and no hot salsas yes it's the point of salsas to be hot and spicy but some people I'm sure they be fine without a spicy salsas.

Having been to the Oh! México on Española Way, I knew what to expect. With that said, I (and my Méxican wife) was very impressed. The prices weren't super outrageous as with most Ocean Drive establishments. Pricey, yes, but not over the top. The service was next level. We had our baby with us and they accommodated both our stroller and got us a high chair for her. We had a couple of Micheladas and the nachos, which were ample for our afternoon snacking needs. The Micheladas we're on point: big frosty goblets with ice, Tajín rim, lime, chamoy stick, and our choice of beer. They had every Mexican beer available (a rarity). My wife truly prefers Tecate Light, so it was nice to see that on the menu. The nachos could probably feed three people. We barely finished; solid mix of chips, cheese, chorizo and other toppings. I'd order again. We also got our munchkin a cheese quesadilla and fries. She ate the fries and part of the quesadilla. Again, I can't say enough about this place on the most touristy street in Miami. A huge shoutout to the most accommodating waiter too: Thomas, you rock! He always anticipated our needs, from fixing the wobbly table, to cleaning the table as we are/finished items.

Really wanted to like this place, food was okay. Service was not so good, food turned up as not requested. Also, asked three times for water for the table for none to turn up. Also had to ask a few times for another drink. Would not recommend this place. And I had to pay 20% service charge for the bad service!

Tourist trap. We just arrived and got 2 chicken quesadillas. $36 right? My bill came to $49. That's because you are charged 20% instant gratuity, tax, possible card use and anything else that they can slide in. Just be careful not to get scammed and overtip. Look at the bill. Not worth theyre not upfront and honest from the beginning. Ritz Carlton has way better good and you'll pay less. Trust me.

Agostina was amazing, accommodating, and attentive. Can't go wrong with oh Mexico! The food is always good and consistent I go with the steak tacos that have chorizo in the!

Opening day for this location. We just a had appetizers such as soup, seared ahi and volcano nachos with steak like small tostadas. Food was very good. Service while attentive one could tell that there were signs of inexperience. With that said I would love to return.

Oh Mexico Ocean Drive in Miami Beach is a great place to go for delicious and flavorful food and drinks. Good experience every time I have been here. I have been impressed with their level of customer service and everything that they offer here.

Visiting from Chicago, and this was better than the food in 26th Street! Authentic and delicious, it made our visit to Miami perfect! Hospitality was perfect! My flauta dinner was delicious, appetizer, Molcajeta was delicious! Prices are very reasonable. Great food!

Food was really good and the server Lisa was thorough and communicative. We got the green enchiladas and ceviche tostada, both of which were excellent. Nice sidewalk seating. Recommended!

Food was decent, we had the fajitas. Service was rather slow and confused. Three different times they brought us the wrong food. And there were only two tables in our section.

The service with Esmeralda was amazing, she is very attentive, got our order correct every time and came back to check on us to make sure we were not in need of anything else , I applaud tyou Esmeralda we sure enjoyed your service.
