Oh My Gyro

I’ve been enjoying OMG since 2018, and even after moving away, I always come back here when visiting. My favorite item are their platters, but everything on their menu is tasty (they have gyros, burgers, different types of marinated grilled proteins, falafel, and desserts.) Their white sauce is scrumptious but is NOT tzatziki, which could throw people off if they’re looking for authentic Greek food. If that’s what you want, you’re best off going somewhere else. They are NY style halal, a completely different genre with their own unique flair. They always hit the spot if you want quick, yummy food while supporting a small family business.

Oh My Gyro is my go-to spot whenever I’m craving this type of food, and it never disappoints. It’s a fast-food spot that serves New York–style halal cart food that always hits the spot. They’re especially known for their chicken and lamb over rice platters, served with rice, salad, and pita bread—generous portions and full of flavor. And the sauces? The white sauce is seriously addictive, and the red sauce brings the perfect spicy kick. Consistently good food, great flavors, and exactly what I crave every time!

I had a very unpleasant experience at this location. I came in from out of town for a fitting at Uniformity next door and hadn’t eaten all day, so I decided to stop here since it was convenient. From the start, the cashier was extremely rude. When she asked whether my order was for here or to go, she was speaking very low, and I also had difficulty understanding her due to her accent. I politely asked her to repeat herself. In response, she bucked her head at me and repeated the question louder with an attitude, as if I were incompetent. After that, I answered “here.” The entire time, she had AirPods in and appeared more focused on whatever was playing on her phone than on providing basic customer service. When my food was ready, she yelled “excuse me” in a rude, impatient tone, as if she was trying to rush me out so she could get back to whatever it was she was doing. First impressions are everything, and this was a terrible one. On top of that, the food was mediocre. This was my first and last time coming here. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone living in Longwood.

Just found this hidden gem. The owners are super friendly greeted us at the door. The place is clean and they have a good selection of food and very reasonably priced. My wife ordered a gyro and the lamb and sauce flavorful and high quality. I got a spicy burger and it was low key one of the better burgers I've had in the area. The fries are also exceptional. Small shoestring but cooked nice and crisp. We will be back soon!!

The service was kind and friendly. The food was delicious especially the sauces just be careful with the red sauce it's spicy (in the best way). It was a nice ambiance with plenty of seating and parking. The person in the front even asked us how our food was. My favorite is the chicken over rice and the tandoori chicken is delicious too and worth the extra wait. This is one of my top spots for New York style chicken over rice in Orlando and will continue to visit!

It was a great experience enjoying the chicken platter along with the excellent service. Previously, I’ve tried their Sakela Tandoori, Mishkaki beef shik, and samosas — all were delicious. Their signature Wrapped Gyro Combo is definitely the best!

Customer service was good. The girl at the counter was very pleasant knowledgeable and attentive. Only upsetting thing really was the pop machine had no ice and the pop was hot. Was not cold order the lame chicken Gyro. It was good would’ve rather had to tzatziki sauce. Didn’t care for their sauce. The hummus was good needed a little bit more flavor. The pita was soft the fries are a shoestring fries not bad, but I prefer crinkle cut fries. Overall experience was OK nothing to write home about but the food did taste fresh so I’ll give them that.

Wonderful food. Cooked well. Love the giant bottles of sauce for the table. The platter is a good value. Only complaint was the floor was a little sticky, but that didn't detract from the great food.

Have been looking for a good Gyro/Halal spot up on this side of town and found this place via Siri. OMG! Everything was fantastic (ordered chicken and lamb platter with a side of falafel) but the falafel and their white sauce stole the show. Best falafel I've had in Orlando! Been back a few times now. Great service, amazing food. The hot sauce is hot. Start with a little. Have tried several things and never disappoints.

First time I came here and I found there was lots of choices to pick from, the place was clean and also offers ice cream. The food was really good and reasonably priced for what you get. The service was great and the location is convenient and easy to find with plenty of parking. Overall, I can't wait to come back and try something different at this location.

This place may not look like much from outside but it's a nice find. Easy to spot too! My daughter enjoyed her burger and didn't make a fuss! Win win! I ordered a gyro with rice which was very flavorful and nice. It was somewhat comparable to the halal guys cart style gyro... The staff was very friendly and welcoming, food was fresh and tasted good.. I was pleased to find this place which was not only halal but also a good find. If you're in search of halal gyro you should definitely check this place, i will be visiting in future whenever I'm in the area!

I passed this women owned establishment on occasion and decided to pop in for lunch. For $10 you will definitely be filled. I tried the mixed platter (lamb/chicken), comes with rice, pita, lettuce and tomato. Served with a hot sauce and a white sauce I'm pretty sure was ranch dressing. The hot is hot if you like spicy. If I had some tzatziki sauce instead of ranch, I would've been in heaven. All in all, pretty good and I was too full to finish the entire platter.

This place isn't much to look at, unless you like looking at chest freezers, but it was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the Gyro combo I had was cheap and delicious. They gave me a great hot sauce, which I enjoyed on my gyro. I had the lamb, and the combo came with fries and a drink.

10/10 recommend!! The gyro is the best I've ever had tbh, that staff was so nice and helpful with the menu!

Nice and friendly service. Good food. Fair prices. They, as most small businesses, are short staffed. Running a small business is tough as it is. They do a fantastic job. Definitely recommend!

Great food. Fast service, even when it was busy. Had the steak , kids had the burgers. Amazing.

Fast and friendly staff. Grill closes 30 min before so come a little earlier if you want their grilled items. Like Halal guys and yummy.

Not too crazy about the food. The meat was a bit dry and greasy. The service was good fast. The people were nice location looked clean. I was only there for about 10 minutes.

Food is great for dine in, you get unlimited white sauce! If you are craving for New York style halal chicken over rice with lots of white sauce! You gonna like it here!

Was referred to Neat Auto for some car repairs, and found out the owner also owned Oh My Gyro. So, after I picked up my car, I went to check it out. If you don't know it's there, you're liable to pass the small plaza where it is located. It is very clean with quick service. I wasn't super hungry, so ordered some chicken samosas. They were pretty tasty. They also have vegetarian ones. I also ordered the lamb platter (regular size) for a friend and she was quite impressed. It came with rice, salad, and pita bread, and seemed pretty filling. The have a decent menu with reasonable prices, so I'll definitely be back when I'm a little bit more on the hungry side.

Good food. Had the chicken platter. Was really yummy. Service was so fast and very courteous. Would go back again.

Food where can I start I came in soo hungry I was hangry and it did not disappoint this place is all that and the bag of chips had the chicken gyro the fries are soso but that gyro and chicken wings !!!!!

This place has become a favorite of mine! The Indian/East African street food comes fresh and very quick whether you're dining in or picking up. This has been my go to for gyros when in the area, and these gyros are no where near skimppy! They do have a good variety with chicken, lamb, mixed (lamb and chicken), or falafel. There are also platters of the same proteins options that come with rice, salad, and pita bread. The samosas that are available are a nice side to mention! Similar to have meats or veggie fillings with a delicious sauce for dipping. There are also desserts available with their baklava, cakes, fruit cups, and smoothies. I'm a fan of their Mango Lassi, which is a mango yogurt smoothie and Gulab Jamun, which is similar to a donut hole in a liquid sugar. Very sweet indeed!

I finally had a chance to visit this place after driving by so many times. We were greeted and asked if this was our first visit. The menu was thoroughly explained to us and was also told about the meals that would take a bit longer for them to cook. I appreciated the info upfront. My kids each ordered a burger (seasoned well and had a delicious grilled flavor). The hubby got a traditional lamb gyro and I opted for the regular sized mixed platter. I chose lamb and falafel. I recommend getting the regular portion which is significantly larger than the small and only one dollar more! The meat was full of flavor, the falafel was one of the best I've tasted and the veggies served alongside were fresh and crunchy. They do have bottles of extra tzatziki sauce and a SUPER spicy sauce which I mixed together. It made the perfect addition to my meal. I was very pleased with my visit. The ladies the front were so nice and accommodating. I will definitely come visit again.

The staff here is rude. They behave like they are doing customers a great favor. I called to place an order and was put on hold indefinitely. After about 10 minutes I hung up. Later when I complained about this behavior they refused to take my order.

I am skeptical of anything in Florida being like NYC, but OMG has recreated a NYC experience. It's a also a cute homage to the city. You won't regret it. We had the gyro platter mishkaki, burger and sekela chicken. I recommend it all. The sekala chicken is a unique combo of south asian, East African, NYC flair. Give it a try. My mom says it's the second best she's ever had. The service was also excellent and the owners are very kind. Also there are clean bathrooms and a prayer room!! Meat is halal.

I heard a lot of positive things about here and decided to head over to Longwood to try the business known as Oh My Gyro. The description I received about here was that it was like the gyro stands in New York City and growing up in New Jersey and spending a lot of time in the City (even going to school there), I anticipated a fine meal akin to what I had from many of the vendors throughout New York City. What I received instead was bland, uninspired good from an impersonal staff. I will say that the gyro meat came off the spit, a plus for sure, but honestly, that was the only positive that I found here. Oh, the spicy red sauce was good, though they gave very little so we had to use it sparingly. The white sauce was, well, I will paraphrase how my daughter described it. She compared it to a sour tasting ranch dressing. We had three regular bowls (two with extra meat) and a gyro with a drink and fries and the total was close to fifty dollars, so the price was a bit much for what we got. Oh, the fries were pretty miserable, too. I honestly cannot see myself returning here. Fifty dollars for bland, uninspired food just doesn't make sense.

This is now my favorite Halal spot in Florida! I've had combo platters in about 5 different restaurants and this one takes the cake. Rice is cooked perfectly the chicken and lamb were well seasoned and cooked. But that white sauce and hot sauce!!! They did their thing! I was greeted by Tanaz and greeted like family. If you ate from the halal carts in NY, you gotta eat here too!

I wasn't a fan. They use a mayonnaise based tzatziki and quite frankly I don't think it taste that good. It was close by so we tried it but I won't eat there again. 3stars because the wait was long and there were only 2 other customers there

Highly recommend. Nothing fancy but what I've had I've been happy with. Two issues. 1) drink fountain doesn't work so have to buy cans or bottles. 2) some of the lamb in my last couple of visits were old and dried out so not exactly fresh. BUT they are friendly and helpful.

This is a hidden gem! The food was amazing, the owner is divine, and the atmosphere is great! The food is a mix between Indian and East African- if you want the tandoori- call before, it takes 30 minutes to make, but it is well worth it! Mango lassi for the win. Whether you're feeling adventurous and are open to suggestions from the awesome employees or owner, or you are going with your safety food, you won't be disappointed!

OMG OMG OMG guess what?? OH MY GYRO of course! Lol sorry, just being dumb First time checking out @ohmygyro and got the Chicken/Lamb Mix (regular size) consisting of Yellow Rice, Salad, and Pita The meats were both well seasoned that the Tzatziki sauce wasn't even needed (but it also was delicious and I still used it all up, lol). And their hot sauce, DEFINITELY had a great kick to it In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hasta la vista baby.. wait, I mean I'LL BE BACK!

My family LOVES this little spot and ingredients are always fresh. Doesn't even compare to other local places for us.

OMG! Oh My Gyro is amazing! Everything we had here was delicious and I'm already planning our next trip back. The staff was really nice and happy to answer all of our questions. I also really like how the kitchen is open and you can see them cooking up everything fresh! I had the mixed plate with half falafel and half chicken. The chicken was moist with lots of flavor, but the falafel was the show stopper! Very crispy on the outside but still soft in the middle and it wasn't super greasy. I loved the rice with chopped pita on top, the sauces were really good. They aren't kidding when they say the hot sauce is hot, but so good. I had the regular size plate and it definitely more than I could eat, but yay for leftovers! My husband had the lamb Gyro with hummus and pita on the side. The lamb was so tender and juicy! We loved it all.

Had a pool day at a friends house and we wanted something yummy for dinner. This place is right by her house. She went and picked up a small Falafel Bowl for me and her. They are $7.99 each. Super yummy. The Falafel are not dry and have a great flavor. They are served with salad and rice. They also provide sauces on the side and I really enjoyed the Herb sauce. My friend liked the spicy sauce. All in all, the place was clean, friendly and quick to prepare dinner. I will be back, for the great food.

All of their menu items are extremely delicious and the service is excellent. Extremely pleasant owners and employees. Their best items are the grilled chicken, beef sheesh kebabs, burgers and their tandoori chicken wings. We go there regularly.

Gyros are definitely a favorite in my family. This place has got it down exceptionally well. I would recommend the platters. Ordered them twice and loved the mixed platter. The platter is full of delicious selections including soft pita bread, salad and combo meats. Overall, the platter was very flavorful and satisfying. Another new dish I would recommend is the Chicken Sandwich. There are loads of toppings and the chicken is deep fried. The result is a flavorful sandwich I could see myself ordering again in the future. It tastes better than the picture depicted. Pretty much what I want when I order a chicken sandwich from a fast food restaurant. Definitely a great place to eat out.

I like this place. It has the elements to make a great meal for you and you can spice it up if you like. The dining room is clean and simple. The to ho ware makes sense. I like it. The food makes sense to me and it's affordable. Tastes great and is fresh.

I kept seeing this place very time I drive by and I saw the reviews but clearly photos looks better than what the food actually taste like... I brought my husband to try it with me but I was Very disappointed was expecting a gyro with real lamb and it was something else, the lettuce was old and the sauce forget about it. The falafel was disgusting it was still raw the oil was probably old. The cook was nice but cashier had a little bit of an attitude, I was thinking of walking out but gave it a chance. But if you have crappy food and crappy customer service. That's a wrap for a place like that. (And I threw up the food ) -_- Nothing against the owner but that place needs Jesus.

I expected a ton more from this place. It's okay Halal that I'd get on the streets in NYC. Tiny chipped up lamb, okay spicing, a lacking sauce that you'd have to add yourself, including the white and red, messy, as expected. The hot sauce is definitely spot on with heat, but they give you just a hair to coat the smallest sauce container ever.

Wow! Got an amazing lamb plate here. Lamb, Rice, salad, all covered in that yummy white sauce. Watched it down with a bottle of coke too. This is the closest thing I have had in Florida to the carts on 6th Avenue in New York City. Run, dont walk, you won't be disappointed.

OMG! I've found my new favorite spot for falafel and amazing halal food IMO! FML that it's just a bit of a drive from me, but it's totally worth it. I first heard about this place from friends on their snapchat. I was instantly FOMO. I was all TFTI guys! So happy i was able to try it IRL!. Get the mixed platter FTW and make sure to include some freshly made falafels with their white sauce. FYI, everything is made to order so NVM the little bit of a wait and expect delicious fresh food. The sugar cane juice is made on the spot. They take fresh sugar cane and run it through the grinder. Give it a try, YOLO! The portions are hefty, and I'd probably do better with just the small platter and double meat, so i can get more protein LOL I couldn't finish the large and had saved some for an afternoon snack. I didn't feel like PTFO at the office either after eating the food. Was that TMI? Anyway, definitely a fan of the place and will make sure to get here more often. TTYL y'all and SYOY! Oh My Gyro is my go to halal spot especially when in Altamonte. Not only is the service fast but the food is reminiscent of the food trucks back home - which are some of my favorite halal spots. The spice is the perfect amount of spicy and the presentation of the food is great. I can appreciate any place that is somewhat fast food but still manages to make sure their food & platters are presented nicely to he customers. Realized they offer chicken wings after ordering but was okay with it because it gives me something to look forward to for my next visit!

Cheap deal for a decent amount of food! Stopped here and ordered to go post workout. Quick and friendly service. Got the large platter with mixed chicken and lamb. I was so anxious to eat that I forgot to take a picture of the food :/ Chicken wasn't really worth it, but I would return just for more lamb!!!! The white sauce blends perfectly with the dish. The red sauce - WOWZERS!!!! It's so spicy I almost knocked out all my taste buds; it should come with a warning! Overall, glad to have this spot nearby and will return for a quick bite (especially for post workout fuel!!) and on a budget!

This is a nice spot! The guy who works the register always greats you with a smile and the food is always ready in a reasonable amount of time!

This place is open for business and you CAN dine inside. OMG is so yummy. The value and quality are the picture I post does not do justice. But the plate is jammed packed with flavors! It comes with rice, a small portion salad and your choice of lamb/chicken/falafel. You can do all lamb, chicken or falafel ~ or you can mix. I order mine with chicken and falafel. And trust me, they don't skimp on the falafels ~ they serve four and that's for a mix option! Definitely worth a trip to OMG for a tasty meal that'll leave you full and satisfied!

Still my favorite halal eatery one year later. The food is always presented beautifully, the service quick. I've purchased several bottles of "dragon" sauce (my goodness this is THE BEST hot sauce - it has flavor, heat, & is the best accompaniment to meats. I put that stuff on practically everything, use it as marinade - mix it into bbq sauce, it's amazing). I will always have a special place in my heart for OhMyGyro. It's my slice of Philadelphia & always brings me back home to when I was on Center City with my dad as a kid introducing me to gyro & finding the best ones on food trucks. Their gyro meat always reminded me of that I loved so much. A lot has changed - I eat a little cleaner & I go here for the salads, but the meat is so good! Always 5 Stars. Will always be a place I go to & will always recommend.

This spot was solid but wasn't exceptional, I'm not sure why people rated five stars. The lamb was tasty but the tzatsiki sauce was weak and the hummus was not truly flavorful. Not to say that it was bad it just wasn't exceptional.as.it didn't have much tahini or lemon flavor.

Love this place, food is consistently good every time. I always get the combo platter and and have never had a complaint in the 2 and a half years I've been ordering from them.

Can't brag to my friends enough about this place!!! Wish there were 20 more across Orlando.. Definitely a New York vibe with all of their interior decorations.. The platters are ahhmazing!! I always get the same thing mixed platter (large of course) with chicken, gyro and rice... sooo good! Their hot sauce is the best HOT sauce I ever had.. and yes it's really HOT...

My husband brought me here for lunch one day because I wanted mediterranean food. The people were welcoming and friendly. They have 9 meals your can choose from or you can just get a sandwich or platter. We received our food and it was delicious. I got the small chicken meal with just salad (no rice) but included tomato, lettuce, pita bread pieces and white sauce on top. It was a big enough size to get you full for lunch. They also have gyro meat, lamb and falafel that you can choose. My husband got a large mixed meal and he said it was too much food for him. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to try an alternative to Halal Guys, since they have lamb here. The space is clean and spacious for large groups. Next time, I want to try the other meats and the dessert.

Oh My Gyro was a great place to grab some tasty takeout! I ordered online and my order was ready when they said it would be upon my arrival. Everything was accurate and hot as well. All the food we ordered was good including the lamb and a mixed platter with falafel and lamb and the springs rolls. I would definitely recommend ordering extra sauce just because it's really good! The rice was cooked well, veggies were crisp and fresh, the meat was well seasoned and the falafel was fluffy inside but crispy on the outside! The shop itself is in a small plaza right off the road next to the big storage facility. The inside is simple and clean with chairs and tables to eat. The menu is not super descriptive, but the staff was nice and was able to answer the couple questions I had before heading out. I'll definitely be back and would recommend everyone to check then out.
