"Tucked away in a rear courtyard on trendy Potsdamer Strasse, this dapper restaurant—run by the owner of the equally swanky and highly popular Katz Orange—draws on a famous German children’s book as inspiration, and offers a forward-thinking and global-minded menu that effortlessly spans items like char tacos and venison tartar. The restaurant’s two distinctly different floors, designed by Karoline Butzert and Nora Witzigmann, match comfortable and stylish furnishings to eye-catching artworks such as a bone-shaped neon sign by Kerim Seiler, and a chandelier made of vintage lights by the artist Björn Dahlem. A birthday meal for two and it felt very special. The sommelier was super stylish and very helpful, taking care to chill the wine to the recommend level. We enjoyed the chefs menu, expecting a selection of their recommended dishes we were surprised and thrilled to be served the ENTIRE MENU. What a treat. So many delicious flavours, unusual and creative combinations and thoughtful journey through the dishes. Recommended!

The overall note would be between 3 and 4 because after having tried many Michelin-list restaurants "Oh Panama" doesnt feel like a 5 in terms of the variety and "explosion" of tastes, and the interior. The 4 courses dinner was nice but too pricey vs the relative simplicity of the meals on my opinion. The service was nice even though the staff was changing 4 times during the service which was a bit confusing. The atmosphere is nice but not more than this, it didn't feel as an exceptional design effort as it could be the case in some other places with a similar price for example. The food itself was good actually, but not at the level where I'd expect it to be for a similar price. It's German cuisine and not knowing it that much, I'd say it didn't leave any special memory compared to similar experiences with French or Japanese ones for a similar price. Generally speaking, I'd say it's a very nice place but too expensive (overpriced) versus it's taste experience.

Perfect meal from the beginning to finish. Welcoming greet by the host and prompt seating to the table. All staff were attentive and friendly throughout. Expert wine presentation and service, better than most 1-2 Michelin star restaurants. Very exciting wine list that is obviously put together with lots of thought and care. Food is fantastic, complexity and depth in flavors, lots texture play. Truly enjoyed the chef’s course. Thank you for the great evening.

Enjoyed the expanded set menu with both wine and beer pairing. Staff was wonderful and the careful thought and delicious execution of the courses made the experience exceed expectations.
