Oh Yeah Chinese Bistro

Went to this place yesterday. The food was so fresh and hot! The flavors were perfect. I got the Bento and it had crab Rangoon, egg roll, my entree, steamed rice and some deep fried veggies. The service was excellent. The inside was inviting and decorated very nicely. I can’t wait to go back.

This is an absolute hidden gem. The atmosphere is gorgeous, the food is absolutely fantastic, at a very reasonable price, staff is very tentive and professional. Also just a small nice thing their restrooms are absolutely spotless and also decorated beautifully.

Found this place a couple of weeks ago, and we’re in love. The service is amazing, the food is incredible, and the best part is their vegan options.

Lots of gluten free and vegan options. The menu is huge and has a ton of different options. The sauces were on the sweet side for my preference. The egg flower soup was good but had lots of celery or onion pieces, which I do t personally care for. The Thai style spring rolls were great, very similar to lumpia if you’re familiar. The fried rice was amazing, more of a dry, Vietnamese style fried rice to me than your normal saucy or fake yellow fried rice you see a lot. The lunch bento boxes are a great deal. We ordered an appetizer thinking we would need extra food, but we did not. We ended up leaving with a yogi box. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Wichita!

Always fantastic! I have eaten here and ordered to go food from here for years since they opened as Zen and then changed to Oh Yeah China Bistro. Food is always consistently excellent. Great for vegetarians or those who have dietary restrictions. My favorite place to eat in Wichita for over a decade!

Whenever my husband and I find ourselves in the area, we always make a point to go here. It has become one of our favorite spots, particularly because of its extensive selection of vegetarian dishes. We greatly appreciate the thought and effort put into crafting flavorful and satisfying options for us. The variety of choices ensures that we never get tired of visiting, and the quality of the food consistently exceeds our expectations. It's truly a gem for anyone seeking delicious meat-free meals in the area.

First visit. Benny kindly greeted and sat us, but we were distracted by an employee's continued coughing and not covering her mouth at all. We asked if she'd be preparing anything & were told, "No," she's the OWNER. Seriously?? We ordered, and she continued to cough but now was behind the door where they were cooking. It was very unprofessional and bad enough we absolutely considered leaving. Food was good, yet Asisn Wok down the street is still our #1. We started with egg drop soup, spring rolls, and crab rangoon before chicken lo mein, broccoli beef, veggie fried rice, white rice and sugar donuts. Good, quick, go to.

I appreciate that there are so many vegan options. My son, grandbaby and I ate there a few days ago and had delicious tofu dishes. Our server kindly gave us warm water to make a bottle for my grandson. I left my debit card there by mistake. Thankfully, I realized the next day. They had saved it for me. This is a nice place, with good service and beautiful, tasty food.

Amazing food. Food well prepared. The spices were spot on. Texture perfect. Will be back anytime I'm in Wichita

I love moo shu. One of the few things that you can do to make me not like it, is to give me a flour wrapper instead of a rice wrapper. Oh yeah, gave me a flour wrapper. Then they made the moo shu filling with stocky broccoli that ripped through the flour wrapper. The egg blossom soup had no flavor and did not come with any crispy crackers. The fried rice was exactly that rice that was fried. I couldn't say any onion, peas, egg, or anything else. Everything was bland. Part of my order was missing. I have enjoyed Oh Yeah in the past. Not today.

* oh yeah! chinese bistro: surprisingly classy for a place with an exclamation point in the name. * took my mom, who treats trying new chinese places like skydiving--high-risk, high-stress. * she panicked when there was no chow mein on the menu. like, real stress. they made it for her anyway. crisis averted. * i had the musha chicken, which is kind of like chinese fajitas. 10/10 would sizzle again. * tables? nice. staff? nice. service? good. ambiance? solid. * great spot if you want to sit down for a nicer chinese dinner that still lets you leave with leftovers and dignity.

The food was all very delicious! The fried rice was a little bland. The appetizer sampler for 2 is very filling. All in all, 4.5 stars.

This place is overall the best Asian place I've been to in Wichita!!! The flavor in the bibimbap was simply amazing!!! Highly recommend!!!

OH YEAH, has always been my favorite China bistro; However, the last time I went, the food was bland and tasted different. I inquired of the waiter if there was a different cook. Indeed they do have a new cook or at least they did have a new cook it's been about, two months ago when I went. It's really disappointing when you take someone someplace to eat because you know how great it is and you get there and the quality of the food has changed. Very disappointing after several years

Two words: Ma La Chicken. Or, is that three words? Whatever, try it, it's great!, especially with Spring Rolls and steamed dumplings!

We t for my first time today and enjoyed every single bite!! The be to box for the luncheon special was fun. Service was GREAT! I have been looking for a great Chinese place since we moved here 4 years ago and I have found my new fav!!! The restaurant was so clean too!!! Just a great experience! Will be back soon

Amazing gluten-friendly food with terrific service. We had numerous dishes at the table but everyone agreed Happy Family was the best dish (although the orange chicken was 2nd)! Can't wait to go back!!

Very disappointing food. The flavor I look for at a Chinese restaurant just wasn't there.

Still our favorite for Chinese food in Wichita. Always good service and good at reasonable prices. Tonight I had the mixed vegetables in brown sauce with chicken while the wife enjoyed her meal of cashew with chicken. They also serve a nice bento box lunch but we are typically here for dinner. While we consider this primarily a dine in restaurant, they also do take out. We've done the take out and the food is just as good, but we really prefer to dine in and enjoy the service.

Fun name, for a restaurant. Food was very good. Service was excellent. We started out with Thai style spring rolls, edamame and a bowl of won ton soup. All were good tasting, for the most part. However, I could taste the oil the rolls were cooked in, the edamame was virtually unsalted, and the soup was won ton and bok choy in broth, nothing else. For our entrees I ordered the General Sao chicken with medium spice and added zucchini. I requested no broccoli, but agreed to the carrots and peas that are already in the mix, but I only got the zucchini. That was ok though, it was great just like that. Only thing I didn't like was I could again taste the oil they cooked the breaded meat in. The other plate we ordered was the Beef Extravaganza. Now that was excellent! Wonderful flavor. Highly recommend this dish. Overall, this is a good dining experience. Not my favorite, but worth another to try a couple different plates.

Good food, just kind of small portions and very over priced for what you receive, especially carry out. Their online pricing is not what the in restaurant pricing is. You have to watch because they like to not include white rice if you order fried rice. Well I paid for the white rice which is included with a meal, and bought fried rice full size on side, I should get both. First time I let it go. Next time I called them out. Third time they knew what they were doing. Overall good food though.

They were very courteous when I called to put place the order and they have delivery. The driver even thanked me for the tip. Food is great! I get the red curry.

Really nice restaurant. I order the general tsos chicken and the portions were not great for the price. Also the flavor was not very good either, I will come back at some point and try another dish. But my first visit was just average

THE BEST Chinese I've found in Wichita in the year I've lived here. It's a nice sit-down restaurant. Nicely decorated in traditional Chinese (and other oriental) decor. The food is what stands out. They haven't "dumbed down" the flavors for the local pallet. Their "spicy" dishes are truly flavorful. I like "spicy" and Oh Yeah! didn't disappoint. The "hot-sour" soup was peppery - if not particularly sour - but it was hearty with a rich broth and lots of Chinese style veggies and tofu. The Kung Pao beef I ordered was really tasty, it had a variety of vegetables in it along with a rich and spicy sauce. The beef was tender and the presentation was outstanding. My wife had the General Tso's chicken which was also pleasantly spicy and rich. The hot tea was a very tasty "Jasmine-Green tea". It got better as it steeped. It was a pleasant change from the weak, virtually tasteless green teas I've had at other Chinese restaurants in the ICT. We had two minor disappointments which kept this from being a 5 * review: 1. It was COLD inside the restaurant - especially when someone came in from outside. I suspect it was the location of our table, but it was, frankly, uncomfortably cold. 2. We ordered the "Cream Cheese Rangoon" as an appetizer and it never arrived. Not sure if it got "grabbed" for another table. They offered to bring it out, but we opted to skip it this time. We will definitely go back and give it another try

I went in to get take out. The place was clean, there were two people at the counter that helped me pick out food. I got the pineapple curry right and boy was it delicious and I will be ordering it again.

A little pricey but the food and service were excellent. Docked one star for the prices which were a little higher than comparable establishments.

Consistently good food time after time. I've been a customer for at least 15 years and have never been disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I've made menu choices when I was feeling adventurous that didn't work for me, but that was on me. The sesame chicken is outstanding, broccoli beef is excellent. My personal favorite is "Buddha's Delight" which is a great vegetarian dish with this delicious brown sauce on the side.

This place came highly recommended, yet it was just okay. Orange chicken was too spicy for me, didn't think to request it mild. I've never had it served spicy. The beef broccoli was nothing special, edible and served hot, the stir fried noodles were disappointing. That too was edible and served hot. Will probably not return. Food was just okay.

Food is very good but prices are higher than portion sizes justify on the dinner menu. Lunch portions and pricing is fine. Service is always good. Atmosphere is clean and inviting.

The food is delicious even with the new owners. It has a nice atmosphere also that isn't too loud, like many restaurants.

Ordered take out online. Process was simple and accurate. Food was done on time and still hot when I got it home. The crab Rangoon is really good. The pad Thai was good, tasted more "clean/ healthy" than other places I've tried. My daughter got fried rice, she loved it. I think they make it with quinoa and brown rice because it also taste like a healthier option of fried rice then I've ever had before. I'll definitely be trying more in the future.

I ordered Orange chicken, $15. This was not spicy or did I taste any orange flavor. Place looks nice and the service was good. Food came quickly and hot, but nay tasty.

We frequent Oh Yeah regularly and always get superb and friendly service from Danny and Sunny. Their Lemon Chicken is always a hit with a side of fried rice. Very delicious and priced well. Also try their hot and sour soup!!

If you are expecting fast food Chinese or Chinese food from a buffet this is not the place for you. If you are wanting unique food prepared with love and quality ingredients, you are in for a treat. It really feels like each dish is a family recipe and is made with precision and care. I have been going here for many years and have always had great interactions with the staff and enjoy speaking with the owner/manager every time I am there. I am vegan and it is nice to have SO MANY OPTIONS (the soy is a must in anything)! For you meat eaters out there my father in-law who grew up in the bay area near China town has had the duck and loved it. We brought our friend who does a lot of business in China and speaks fluent mandarin. He ordered the Chinese ribs off of the special menu and loved it 10/10

If I could give a 10 star I would. Wait staff and owners are amazing. You top that with amazing food on their menu you can't ask for more. If you see a bad review chances are the person never gives 5 stars. I got the yellow chicken curry and it is by far the best in town. Could be a bit spicer but you can always add more heat. Can't wait to go back again and again. Edit. Had to go back and get moo shu. Amazing.

Food was okay, and service was pretty good, but j probably wouldn't go back on my own. I ordered for pick up and it was easy, fast, and the restaurant was nice on the inside!

The food is consistently delicious, the staff is very kind and accommodating! The ambiance is really nice and we love the owners! They're just the "BEST"!!!! We highly recommend them!

We haven't been here in several years. Not sure why because this restaurant is great. The host recognized us and greeted us as we came in. Very much enjoyed our meal and the calm atmosphere. We won't wait so long for our next visit.

I have now been here more than 5 times and every time is spectacular. Today I tried the Yellow Curry with Chicken, Honey Chicken and Pork Fried Rice. I haven't found good fried rice in 6 years because I've been living in Kansas and Florida. I finally found it...it's phenomenal. The Honey Chicken is crisp and served with broccoli. All of it is just so good. The service is also always great. I've always had the same guy and he's very honest about recommending food even if it costs less than something else. The music here is also always great. Light piano music of classic songs like "Rain Drops Keep Falling on My Head." I will continue to come here often.

The restaurant is kinda small but the ambiance and the excellent food make up for it. We ordered the lettuce wraps for an appetizer and then I ordered the Honey Chicken and my husband ordered the beef Lo Mein. It was all delicious!! The service was great as well. We will be going back. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

No meat in the tiny, breaded pieces of orange chicken. Very expensive for the quality and quantity of dinner entrees.

Stepping into the Bistro I noticed right away that it was very clean and calm environment. The service was quick and attentive. The food was a whole other level! The Korean pork was tender and had a slight smoke flavor that was unique and surprising! I couldn't get enough! Will definitely be back!

A group Had a luncheon date with a friend moving to Oklahoma. We are all ate different luncheons. all agreed the food was very good. good servers! light and A very cheery atmosphere.

My wife and I tried this restaurant a couple of days ago and thought everything was delicious. We can't wait to go back. Had the fried dumplings and General Tso chicken.

Solid chinese place with a nice interior. My son had the sesame chicken and I had the seafood delight. I would recommend both. The service was great and the food came out hot. Will definitely hit this place again.

Worst fucking Kung Pao I ever fucking have by the way. I do not understand why I need yellow fucking mustard for... KUNG PAO. The food taste bland as fuck

This spot is so good and service is amazing.. I had 2 great waiters that we're very polite and charming.. They tried very hard with the table across from us to make them happy but it seemed to no avail.. though with us they were prompt and very attentive. Amazing!! And the food to die for.. sesame chicken was perfect.

An elegant Chinese bistro with vegetarian options. I've had food here twice, once for takeout and another time to dine in. Both experiences were very positive. The atmosphere is very inviting. When I ordered takeout, I was asked if I wanted to sit at a table and have a glass of water while I waited. Not only that, but the food was ready really quick. When I had lunch inside, the staff members were all very polite and helpful. The two bright spots on the menu that separate this place from others would be the vegetarian and bento box options. In addition to having tofu, they can also substitute soy protein for meat. That's true for most items on the menu too. The General Tso's Soy "Chicken" was excellent. The texture was chewy and there were a lot of wonderful flavors on the plate. A little spicy and sweet, not too salty either. The bento box is a great option to get the most for your money if you're looking for an affordable lunch. The staff is great here and they'll take the time to explain dishes and dietary options to you. I'll be back next time I'm in Kansas!

Great place, food and service was awesome! We had lunch plates, shrimp lo mein and Bugovi beef(extra spicy). Plenty of food. Definitely be back.

I cant say how pleased we were!! You can definitely tell a lot of people order to go here but we happened to come in and eat dinner there. The service 10/10 and so was the food!!!! WOW and it came so fast which I know sometimes can almost be sketchy when good food gets done within what feels 10 minutes but I can promise you we all left happy and pleased with the food we got! The fried rice was tasty and traditional with veggies and eggs, the wontons in the wonton soup delicious, and my friends had spring vegetables rolls which they raved about wishing they got more. My other friend gets the "moo goo" dish, which she gets everytime she comes so must be good and ill have to try next time around. The menu has such a range of options i cant wait to try more out!!

Food lacked freshness (veggies such as broccoli tasted frozen) and flavor. I'd sum it up to say that It tasted like cheap, below average American Asian fusion cuisine. Not worth the effort to place an order/pick it up. 2 stars for having a decent vegan menu, we well as observing COVID-19 protective measures.
