So cool here and such good poke bowls! A little pricey but the food is so fresh and big servings! I recommend BYO bowl and putting as many toppings as possible with the Ohana sauce on the side! Tastes better at the beach;)

Lynn S.

Google
Best BYO poke bowl!!! Very fresh ingredients and you can choice as many toppings as you want. I go for the tuna, salmon and shrimp. I love the OHANA sauce. Big portion and very healthy. Love the crunchy add ons!!! Service is quite fast and employees are very helpful and friendly.

Karl B.

Google
Quick counter service. Miso salmon poke bowl was good, but the ahi tuna nachos were fantastic and highly recommended.

Google
Yummy poke bowls at my husband's go-to restaurant! Ingredients are fresh, and there are plenty of options for every taste. Prices are high, but the quality of the food matches the prices. Service was friendly, and they took their time with our food. It was much appreciated as they were well crafted. Unfortunately, the dining experience when you eat there is less than ideal - people took advantage of their tables by eating food from Pizza Factory next door. Very odd. I would come here again, but next time we will stick with takeout as the atmosphere inside isn't very inviting.

Jeffrey C.

Google
Eh. Not a good value, unfortunately. Taste is OK. Freshness OK. Nothing extraordinary. Sinewy in the small portion of Tuna (which is allegedly a double portion!) was off putting, indicating a lower grade of cube. Bottom line - a lot of $$ for an inferior experience. Photo shows the sinewy I speak of. Every bite has had that so far. Looks like some pieces are free of it. Also, the seaweed salad (photo below) which I’m sure features some sort of local sustainable seaweed is plain and simple inferior in taste and texture to the “stuff were used to” at Japanese restaurants and grocery sushi cases.

Google
Built my own bowl and the first bite was incredible! I love how healthy and accessible it is. I also got the tofu musubi which was my first time trying it and it was very good. Nice quick snack to hold me over until I could eat the rest. Will definitely be returning!

Jason F.

Google
Amazingly fresh. Great flavors. Staff were very friendly. The spam musubi was my favorite. Tuna was excellent. Great spot for lunch.

Google
Came from Hawaii recently and I can tell this is an authentic poke bowl place. Very fresh, full of flavor, texture and great ambience! What a great find. I order build you own and it was absolutely amaaaaaazing. Great job!

Yelp
I've had poke from most of the usual suspects in the NBPT area. There's a lot of options and most restaurants have it in one form or another as an app or special in the summer. This is one of those examples where the master of one trade beats the jack of all trades. They specialize in poke and the quality shines though. A cut above the average poke appetizer experience.

Yelp
Consistency across the locations seems to be the issue. After a disappointing experience at Exeter, stopped by Portsmouth location a few days later. We weren't served iced cold rice at this location. The salmon was diced a bit larger, the add ons a bit more generous, how they served the tobiko was different (added as a few dollops here vs Exeter it was mixed it) while I think I would have preferred it all mixed in, it isn't an issue. Mine lacked enough sauce in comparison to my counterpart which was heavily sauced and seasoned. Rice was well cooked, not mushy this time. But again, IMO the protein to price ratio is low. Essentially $20 for rice and veggies and collectively maybe 1/4 scoop of protein at best. Service was a bit more friendly, quick. The owner has yet to reach out like he indicated he would.

Yelp
Queer o meter 10+ most excellent service with a genuine smile and nice folks! If I could swear in a review I'd say this place was f*n BANGIN! Fresh, fully customizable and DELISH! I can't say enough good things so I'm just going to leave it at a great find! Cheers!

Yelp
I was unfortunately not crazy about this poke place! It felt like there were a lot of upcharges, more than other poke places (seaweed salad, kani salad, macadamia nuts), and the fish wasn't particularly fresh tasting. The sushirito is also a much smaller portion than a regular bowl for the same price. I had quinoa as a base instead of rice but unfortunately it was quite undercooked, the quinoa hadn't bloomed at all. The veggies were also cut in large, clumsy pieces, which isn't very fun in a poke bowl specifically.

Alissa J.

Yelp
Solid place to get poke! This place was very good! Good seating, food and service! Would love to come back here!

Yelp
My kids loves poke bowls and was glad there is one in our visit to Portmouth. They like to build their own bowls. Kids are approved of their bowls. The only complain is they didn't have their choice of sauce to put in their bowls. So they pick the one closest to a ln eel sauce which is the shoyu ponze. Would go back when we visit Portmouth again.

Yelp
Incredible food!! Please do yourself a favor and stop here to grab something to eat. I love the crunchy garlic topping! So good! Brings me back to Hawaii -- love this cute spot!

Yelp
Ohana is my go-to when I want something fresh, healthy and flavorful for lunch. I really appreciate that you can order ahead online and pick up at the store. My orders have always been delicious and accurate. I love that they use compostable containers and utensils. I highly recommend the yuzu-miso dressing! Service is always fast and friendly.

Eric D.

Yelp
Good food and great service. Ago was very fresh and tasty. Bowl was delicious with a hint of spicy. Definitely going back again.
google avatar

Yelp
Ohana means family and felt treated like family at Ohana Kitchen. Plus can't go wrong with a poke bowl. Price to portion is fair, given that the poke bowls may come with sushi grade fish. Went for a miso salmon bowl, plenty of toppings and good amount of fish. Good sized area for dine in, though chose to take out. If anything, I couldn't find any plastic spoons, just forks and chopsticks.

Yelp
Had lunch at Ohana yesterday, with my brother who is a local to the area. I am from about three hours away and have been lamenting our pokey options in western Massachusetts. Ohana was delicious. The large build your own is the way to go. I had enough for two meals, and it was just as good at lunch as it was for dinner. All the toppings were excellent. The fish was delicious and the price was decent. Even though I went for that mega menu item, I would do it the same way next time.

Brian C.

Yelp
They serve spoiled food and the manager wont refund you smoothly and she never apologize you. So gross

Yelp
As a displaced local, every chance I get for local grindz I jump at it especially on the East Coast. This is the most north I have been. While I am always in the mood for a poke bowl (best poke is at Kahuku Suparette - I dare anyone to argue with me on this) but I saw that they had a lunch special of chicken katsu. Well that's surprising. The katsu came on a bed of red cabbage which was different but good! Typically katsu is on a bed of shredded green cabbage but that's because Tonkatsu is pork. I like the red cabbage bed as it goes well with the chicken. The chicken was well battered and cooked the way I like it - a little darker. The amazing thing is the Mac salad which was really good - local style! Also picked up a Soam Musubi for later on! Service was great and the food came out quickly! The even have an ice water dispenser with plastic cups ... that's very local .

Yelp
Food, seating, and workers were nice but not a worth of almost 20bucks for a small portion of tuna&salmon which is the main reason why I visited this place but wasn't satsfied w only a few pieces of raw fish.
google avatar

Lila M.

Yelp
I always go here when I want something fresh and high quality!! the staff are always so friendly and the build your own option on the menu is something not every place offers. I asked for extra of something and they listened and gave me a lot which made my day.
google avatar

Yelp
This is neat place for poke bowl. The food is fresh and tasty. The price is reasonable. The service is fast. We ordered Ohana classic, spicy crunchy ahi, and miso salmon. Our favorite is spicy crunchy ahi. We also ordered miso soup, but it was barely lukewarm..... other than the lukewarm miso soup, everything was perfect. All in all, we would recommend this place for a quick and healthy meal.
google avatar

Nicole R.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible! Wanted to try a sushi burrito for the first time and it was delicious. You can make your own (and your own poke bowl ) but my husband and I chose from an already curated meal. It didn't disappoint. Flavorful, spicy, fresh! Only bummer was that we didn't realize we needed to order by phone and we couldn't go inside. Visiting from out of town and so glad we ordered!
google avatar

Paul H.

Yelp
This was really good really quick and just great after a king beach day . The bowls are awesome and the miso soup rejuvenating!
google avatar

George L.

Yelp
I ordered the WestEnd Shrimp Bowl. Super fresh and served with smiles! Definitely a !

Yelp
As someone who was born/raised in Hawaii and moved to the area in the last year, I was so excited to find a poke place! I've been several times and the ahi (tuna) is always fresh. I'm glad they have the make your own option so I can make it more like how it is back home. The haupia is also good too. I knocked off one star because I've had the spam musubi a few times and unfortunately it's always disappointing. It tastes like there's too much vinegar in the rice and the meat is always dry/hard on the edges. My suggestion would be to not over cook the spam and get a heat lamp to put it under instead of just leaving it on the counter. Other than that, this place is great!
google avatar

Joseph W.

Yelp
Wow this place is delish. Very flavorful and healthy bowls. Build your own or try some of their specialties. Even my kids enjoyed them. So fresh. Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Yelp
I live across the street from Ohana and order on a multi-weekly basis. For a very long time, I loved ordering here and was always satisfied. In the last few months, there appears to be a difference in the quality and preparation of food. For example, why is there SO MUCH RICE in the spam musubi?!? This is so unusual, the spam:rice ratio is 1:5 (see pic)! Way too much rice, cut it back. Also, the lack of sauce ruins the entire bowl. Asking for heavy sauce in Toast, it's always a gamble. Sometimes there is, and sometimes there isn't (depending on who is working, I presume?) There is not a consistency to the preparation of the meal. Overall, I would say this place is meh.

Yelp
Ecstatic to have found a solid poke spot in Portsmouth. I opt for the build your own bowl since I love a range of toppings. The ingredients are always fresh and I love the house pickled onions. The interior is nice, the staff is friendly, and I'm a sucker for their refreshing mint infused water.
google avatar

Frank P.

Yelp
I love Ohana Kitchen because of the endless flavor combinations plus there is something about quality clean eating that makes my day that much better. I have been to two of the three locations in New Hampshire multiple times and I have yet to have a bad experience. Everything is fresh and made to order, enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
Changing my stars after an absolutely rad experience with Brittany. She totally took care of us on our recent walk in to Ohana. -- Plenty of tuna this time haha. -- I want to make it clear to all the readers out there that I would never not go to Ohana even after a few bumps in the road. Sh*t happens and life goes on. You can't beat quality ingredients like those the Ohana crew add into their bowls, and I greatly appreciate the owner Stacey also reaching out. If you're in Portsmouth and looking for good poke, Ohana will be your best choice. Only -1 star because lets be honest... poke tastes better when consumed somewhere in the middle of the pacific. ps: would love to see an spicy oyster sauce, or ahi limu poke one day.

Yelp
Taste of home all the way here. I was yelping Hawaiian food and there was kalbi and ramen but what stood out was poke. I took a couple of back roads to get here and happy I found this place. There was only a couple of people when I came in but when I left there was almost a line out the door. It's a simple order process poke bowl or burrito. And I thought Up Roll was the first to do Asian burritos. I was wrong but I know you read that review already. Next step is the protein. First time I have ever seen chicken as an option. I think it's called a chicken salad at non Hawaiian food joints. I do want to say I love the ability to order cilantro and Japanese chili relish. Both musts but extra cilantro is the key. Lastly pick sauces and topping. I'm trying to remember the last time I saw macadamia nuts as a toppings but I really liked the shallots crisp. So my creation was a small ahi bowl with extra cilantro and chili relish. I got the shallot crisps with seaweed, masago (of course), sweet onions, cucumbers, wasabi, and Ohana sauce. Mission achieved. My delicious bowl was ready in a few minutes. You don't have a plastic display to see them make your creation like home so I just picked a seat. Traditionally my bowls have always had warm rice and it would be a great option but I was still happy. Overall four stars. Great bowl and I wish I got the burrito but that's next trip. The workers were very pleasant and take pride in their work. I just wish I could watch them create my bowl so I could say more or less of toppings. And I wish they had more drink selections. Orange bang or Lilikoi would be refreshing then what I got. M

Yelp
I loved this! I bought two bowls for the weekend and they were fantastic! My favorite was the soyboy bowl, but I craved both for days after eating there!
google avatar

Yelp
So fresh and delicious! Lovely presentation and excellent service I was in town for an appointment and it was a perfect lunch stop. The interior is cute and there's complimentary mint water. Love it!
google avatar

Devon R.

Yelp
Excellent sushi and waitstaff. Went for a birthday celebration and had a great time. Will definitely go again.
google avatar

Monica V.

Yelp
Delicious! I got the Miso Salmon bowl regular size. The portions are deceptively filling-- don't be alarmed by the size of the bowl. I recommend getting a base of half rice and half kale.
google avatar

Summer C.

Yelp
This is a tough review to write. While the food was good, two things were missing from our order. I called and left a message asking for a refund and never got a call back or refund. Unfortunately, because of this, we most likely won't be back even though the food was good.
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
Fantastic Poke Bowls!!!! Ono Salmon is my favorite. For the same price as a single salmon specialty roll at a sushi restaurant, you can get a delicious, fresh, and tasty lunch bowl with salmon. They are located in an obscured location by Hannford - near Dogland (which is also the best place for top quality dog food). There's lots of FREE parking. I predict that we'll see more locations of Ohana (fingers crossed)

Karen O.

Yelp
The food was fresh but the flavorless. Very disappointed not the kind of poke I'm used to. Service was fine.

Jason W.

Yelp
Haven't been to Ohana in a while. Ordered online and went pick up my food and had a promotion card that indicates if I bought 11 bowls the next one was free. The person working said they would not honor that card because it was only for last year...There is no expiration on the card. So the last time I was there was the 11th time. Not a good practice to run a promotion and renege at an arbitrary time.

Yelp
Tried out on a Friday night around 5:30, it was busy but not standing room only.. was able to order sit and wait - took a few minutes fird service but it was anticipated as meals are prepped freshly. The tuna was really good and fresh..all the flavors YUM.. I'll be back fo sho...got the large bowl for dinner for the added protein and it was MORE than enough.. so thankful to have a poke joint in Portsmouth..one thing I wish was you could see the preparation most places I have gone to allow customers to point to what they want this one make it tough especially if you are new to Poke.
google avatar

Paul T.

Yelp
Amazingly delicious!!! We treat ourselves to Ohana a few times a month and what a treat it is!!! I usually do the spicy tuna bowl, but honestly you can't go wrong. Pick your favorite protein and toppings and enjoy a delicious, healthy meal! We usually do pick up and it is always ready on time. Do yourself a favor and check them out!!
google avatar

Stacey A.

Yelp
Love this new place! We tried it out last week and it did not disappoint. I got the spicy crunchy ahi tuna and it was absolutely delicious....so fresh and flavorful. This is a place that we will most definitely frequent. Mahalo!
google avatar

Craig T.

Yelp
I didn't love it but I'm updating my review because the issue was with staff not the restaurant
google avatar

Alyssa H.

Yelp
I was visiting from NYC and this is some of the best poke I've ever had! The ingredients tasted so fresh, the order was quick, and I received a quality portion of protein. Wish there was a location in NYC so I could have it more often!!
google avatar

Robert D.

Yelp
Ohana use to be a regular rotation place for me. Recently the quality and quantity has gone way down. The bowls have less and less in them, especially protein. I know times our tough, but don't skimp. Raise prices of you have to. I think we all understand. It use to be crave worthy now it's more disappointing then not.
google avatar

Caitlin F.

Yelp
Always fresh and amazing! My favorite poké place, hands down!! Ohana sauce is so delicious too
google avatar

Joy S.

Yelp
If you like sushi, you'll love Ohana! The ingredients are always incredibly fresh and the bowls are a good size. They have numerous toppings and ingredients to meet every flavor profile. The mix of the ohana sauce with the spicy aioli is super tasty! This is a great place to grab and go for a quick and healthy meal!
google avatar

Tim M.

Yelp
What a find! Went with my wife and daughter. I got ahi tuna and salmon in a spicy bowl of my own creation; wife got double chicken (if you like one protein you can do this), while our daughter went vegetarian. The food was amazing! The tuna and salmon were better than many of the sushi places I've been to. My wife and daughter both raved about theirs. If it's busy seating can be a challenge, but if you time it off peak or take it to go it's worth it. Definitely going back! Talk about service! Immediate reply - can you teach more businesses about this? We live out toward Manchester but spend a lot of time in your area. Please come to Nashua/Manchester!
google avatar

Rakhma A.

Yelp
I accidentally found Ohana Kitchen in the map when I was looking for a coffee shop around Portsmouth. I have been craving for a good Poke bowl so I was super happy to find Ohana Kitchen. We ordered 2 bowls for takeaway: the Miso Salmon and Spicy Crunchy Salmon (it's actually Spicy Crunchy Ahi Tuna but I swapped the tuna with salmon). All the ingredients are fresh, the toppings and crunch really add good layers of texture. What I love more is that the vibe inside the store, it's very chill and laid back, yet so colorful. Will definitely be back here! Aloha to you my new Ohana :)
google avatar

Sean V.

Yelp
Ohana Kitchen is a great place to grab a great, flavorful, and healthy meal. Their ingredients are as fresh as it gets. If you like poke/sushi then this is the place for you. Fantastic detail is included in each dish and each time I try something new on their menu I am truly amazed. My favorite menu item has to be the Spicy Crunchy Ahi and it's just the definition of perfection. *chefs kiss*
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
I cannot say enough great things about this place! I recommend it to everyone I know. I love all the different options but usually stick with my go to: the spicy crunchy ahi bowl with extra garlic crisps! The only thing that would be better... open a location in Dover NH!!
google avatar

chiu t.

Yelp
Heard about good stuff about the place. So I tried today. Got a spicy ahi bowl with quinoa. First of all, I was waiting for almost 20 min for fast food!? And they charged me one extra dollar without even telling me. They were so rude and just calling "XX food to go" why? You called everyone's name and I don't have a name? The food. All cold. 90% was quinoa. Very few tuna and it was super fishy and raw. Nothing talked about the fish was raw on the board . After a few bites, I had to vomit... and just dumbed the food. Last, super expensive. I paid 13$ for mediocre cold food with raw fish that made me sick!! If you love real Asian food, skip this place! If you like this kinda healthy food, go to Sweet Green, bigger portion, cheaper, fast and delicious!!
google avatar

hans k.

Yelp
Just so delicious and fresh! Can't say enough about the flavors popping out in my mouth. We had Tuna, Avocado and West End Shrimp - all were our favorites.
google avatar

Pam I.

Yelp
I like everything about Ohana Kitchen except the past two times I've gotten takeout there the rice has been undercooked. Ordering from the website it clear and easy. The location is convenient with lots of parking. The fish and toppings are fresh. It's all good until I get to the slightly crunchy, undercooked rice. And that kind of ruins everything else because I think of how much better it could be if the rice was properly cooked.
