Most flavorful soups I’ve ever tasted. Everything tastes fresh, carefully prepared, and works perfectly together within each dish. We especially loved the black and yellow shiba soups, but you can’t go wrong with anything! The yellow shiba curry broth was wonderfully seasoned and spicy, just thick enough, and bursting with flavor; I normally tire of thicker broths after a while but got through the whole bowl without issue. This is easily the best choice for a more adventurous and hearty tasting soup. Our personal favorite, however, was the black shiba; the garlic flavor was just prominent enough to be delicious but not overpowering, and the seasoning was excellently balanced between light and flavorful, with hints of a traditional, woody flavor that I’ve never tasted in soup before. We also greatly enjoyed the teriyaki chicken, which was very tender and flavorful… the appetizers were traditional and cooked well too! The restaurant itself is atmospherically nice and wasn’t too packed, and we enjoyed the music and vibes. Service was incredibly fast and our waiter was helpful and efficient. Overall, this is our top spot in the area and worth every penny!

The food was delicious—every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the presentation added to the overall experience. Our server, Eugene, truly enhanced the visit with his friendly and attentive service. Overall, a wonderful dining experience—I’ll definitely be coming back!

First time coming here. Ethan was our server. He was very polite. Food was amazing. Very flavorful. Its a cute little restaurant. Gives a very cute authentic vibe. Def coming back when we come back here to visit!

Google
First time eating here at Oi Shiba! Ramen was really good overall. I had the Red Shiba, which had very rich tasty broth with a generous portion of meat and toppings. Chicken karaage was also yummy! I recommend coming here for a casual lunch or dinner to satisfy a ramen craving. Our server Eugene was attentive and kind. Very cute restaurant.

Google
The Ramen is so delicious! My fave is the Veggie Shiba. It has a crispy little hash brown on top that goes so well with the flavors. We’ve been in a few times now and are never disappointed. Friendly and attentive servers. Parking has been hot and miss since it is in PB and the lot spaces can be tight. Highly recommend!

Google
We loved Oi Shiba! Ordered white, black garlic and red soups and all had flavorful broths. We also ordered the karage and was well cooked! Generous portions. The chashu was not fatty and the egg was perfect. Eugene our server was very tentative and checked in often. The only thing I wish was that they served sake. Highly recommend!

Google
Me and my husband found our new favorite ramen place!! This place was so cute and the food is absolutely delicious. It was a perfect late night date night spot. And the service was awesome, Eugene was WONDERFUL! Thank you so much! We will be back soon!

Google
Spectacular ramen. Flavorful rich broth and yummy chewy noodles make this ramen extra tasty. Eugene was welcoming, attentive and recommended the Black and Red Shiba and both were delicious. Chicken karaage was juicy and the portion was generous. We will be coming back!

Yelp
Our new favorite place for ramen and it's local! We've had to go across town for good ramen. Oi Shiba is better than them all. It's new. The decor is funky. You'll have to check it out yourself (including the bathroom). The menu is simple. The spicy miso is good. The black garlic oil ramen is the best. I add chili oil.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem at a small strip mall in PB. We were in the mood for ramen but dreaded going into the convoy area so we yelped different ramen joints and this popped up as one of the top and we can see why! On a Sunday it was nice open seating, not crowded at all. We got the black Shiba, hubs had no complaints and finished his whole bowl, red Shiba which wasn't super hot and had a nice kick, and the takoyaki, spicy salmon and imitation crab yubu (my favorite). We ended it with the matcha tiramisu and I'm not a fan of either but this combo I sure am! It was great! Try not to skip it if you're not too stuffed! Unfortunately I didn't get a pic because we scarfed it down. Service was quick and efficient, food was great and just an overall great experience! PLUS parking is relatively easy. Check this place out! Not much options as far as adding toppings is concerned, but still good amount of ramen for the price you pay.

Yelp
Great service, great ambiance! Alex is welcoming and knowledgeable on the tastes and history. Totally wonderful Ramen!!!! Walking distance to beach and bay plus the Catamaran. Black Shiba is mind-blowingly fantastic. Rich, creamy and the food coma is solid after effect. The mochi and matcha tiramisu are hard to save room for, but a must forkful. New and now our goto Ramen. Thank you for opening so close to our home

Yelp
Cute little place walking distance to the beach. They have a small parking lot but also street parking available (2hr limit). They are next to a yoga studio so if you are lucky, you will arrive right when a bunch of parking spots open up all at once. We came around 1pm on a Saturday and there were plenty of parking in the lot and street and the restaurant was empty. To order, you have to use the kiosk but the staff was friendly and stood nearby to answer any questions. The menu on the kiosk wasn't too detailed so we ordered based on the photo. It took less than 10 minutes to get our food from the moment we placed our order. We ordered the black and red shiba which had a completely different flavored broth though I think the base should have been the same? The difference was, red comes with house-made hot sauce (but it is not spicy). The black is with black garlic oil which had the garlicky flavor but not too over powering. The broth wasn't too thick but had a good hearty/oily flavor and it went well with their thin egg noodles. Their chashu pork is thinly sliced but HUGE. They did not have any grilled flavor and they did come cold so make sure to dunk it in the soup when you first get your order. We wanted to order the yuzu sparkling lemonade but they were out so we got the peach which was still sweet and refreshing. It was a great refresher after the ramen. There was only 1 staff working the hall and he checked in on us frequently and was really friendly. Overall, I feel the price is a bit on the pricier side compared to the noodle portion it comes with but good flavor.

Yelp
There's a small shared parking lot, but was lucky enough to get a spot. Brightly decorated inside (with added cobwebs for Halloween). Quite a few tables inside and outside. I opted to sit inside since it was a little cool outside. They use QR code menu, but you can ask for a physical one. Cute and simple menu. I was intrigued by the Green Shiba, which has pesto in it. The service is very friendly! The ramen came out pretty quick. This was a good thing because there were so many customers coming in. Yuzu Lemonade has a great yuzu flavor that was balanced with a little sweetness. The Green Shiba (no scallions) has thin bouncy noodles, a few huge thinly sliced pieces of tender chashu, a jammy egg, lots of wood ear mushroom and sun dried tomatoes, and the perfect amount of truffle Parmesan cheese! Very interesting combo of flavors but works well because the flavors balance each other out. I was stuffed with just the ramen! Great spot if you're in the mood for a quick hearty tasty bowl of ramen.

Yelp
Let me start by saying the food in this place is great. I'm giving it two stars because I want to bring to the management's attention that the ordering interface/kiosk up front is pretty poor. As it happens, especially the first time you come in - you really need the server to walk you through it. They are happy to do so, but they have been told not to - instead to direct people to the kiosk. After struggling with the kiosk... did you know the add-ons are on top of them already included? Or the difference between black and white broth? The kiosk then asks you for a tip - which it doesn't deserve - but the server does! So please change this workflow! Allow/encourage the server to walk patrons through the kiosk and let them stay engaged and get their tip!!

Yelp
We are ramen lovers and enjoy trying new spots around the city. We've tried some of the best ramen spots and Oi Shiba stole my heart on a relaxed, cool, weekday afternoon. We tried the red and black shiba and they were creamy, HOT and so very tasty! The ambience added to the vibe - fresh ocean beach, PB energy and great service. Special shoutout to Cherie, our server, who ensured we were well fed, surprised us when we unsure of which appetizer to land on, and had a smile on throughout. Thank you! Matcha Tiramisu here I come...

Yelp
Oi Shiba was bomb! I got the Red Shiba with black garlic oil on the side. My friends got the Green Shiba and the Yellow Shiba. They both loved their choices. We also ordered the karagee and gyoza to go. The staff was so kind and helpful. Jacky is the best and answered all our questions. The ambiance is chill and is cohesive with their sister restaurants. 10/10 recommend!! So good I forgot to take a pic of the actual food lol

Yelp
I just stopped by for a quick snack. The cashier, Alex, was extremely friendly and reviewed the menu with me. He was very attentive and the food came out quickly. I ordered the Gyoza. It was very crispy and light. I love the that the cokes are canned and not fountain. I will definitely come back and spread the word with my daughter and her friends.

Yelp
Oi Shiba is hard to miss because it's in a small corner in a plaza, but I'm so happy I stumbled across this restaurant! The interior design and decorations provide such a fun and warm atmosphere. The staff is also super friendly and welcoming, they even went through their entire allergen list for us. Our server Alex was The food was amazing! I got the Red Shiba and forgot to take a picture when the food came out because it was just so good.

Yelp
Ethan was a very attentive server who gave us great recommendations. Food was spot on. I would recommend the White Shiba and spicy mayo salmon yubu which both tasted great! I will definitely be coming back here for my ramen cravings!

Yelp
Must start with the Tonkotsu base....DELICIOUS! I was tempted to ask if I could order more base soup just to drink! Noodles were fantastic as well. Pork large portion and thinly sliced. Also ordered Chicken Karrage and it was hot, tender and delicious with the dipping sauce. I am a fan!

Yelp
Oi Shiba is a new ramen shop that has debuted this weekend at a suite in the Clock Tower Plaza of PB. The ownership is the same as that of the restaurant empire featuring Steamy Piggy in the Convoy District. The suite was not particularly large with sufficient seating for about two dozen customers. The parking situation was ideal with lots of shared spaces with the neighboring businesses that don't have heavy patronage. The one-page menu was simple with six Shiba (ramen) bowls featured, all named after a color plus one veggie variety. The remaining offerings were three deep fried sides, four drinks, and a dessert. I chose the Takoyaki and the White Shiba for my meal. The deep fried battered octopus balls topped with bonito flakes were served as eight pieces. I would say that the presentation of this side dish was one of the better versions I have seen. The crispiness of the fritters was just fine. The bowl contents were chashu pork, tonkotsu broth, wood ear mushrooms, scallion, egg, and noodles. The pork was sliced thin while an entire soft boiled egg was included. The broth was heavier than I preferred. The diameter of the noodles was mid-range, not too thin or thick. The service from the waitress was fine. The prices on the menu sheet may differ slightly from that on the website so note the possible variation(s).

Yelp
I was impressed by the good sized chashu flanking the ramen bowl and the abundance of Benito flakes lining the takoyaki plate. A good dinner place 5 minutes away from sea world. Service was good too.

Yelp
Cute and home-ish vibe. Decent price. Food was good! The demon sauce was my favorite. Service was probably the best part by Justice

Yelp
This anime-themed ramen spot in PB is such a vibe! It's finally cozy soup season, and I was craving some good ramen but didn't feel like driving to Clairemont or North Park. I saw it the other week, and told myself I needed to come try it. I loved it. The place is super fun, the ramen hit the spot, and the whole vibe is perfect if you're into anime (or just cool decor). Our server was super helpful with the menu and brought put our food so fast. Wish there was a little bit more broth in proportion to the noodles. Definitely worth checking out!
google avatar

Rose Y.

Yelp
This restaurant is such a hidden gem! We came out of SeaWorld to find some food. The ramen and the rice bowl are both delicious!
google avatar

Courtney L.

Yelp
Wow. Flavor! Since moving from north park my partner and I have been looking for a ramen place comparable to our old favs. This place is right on the mark! Amazing rich broth, good portion sizes, and a few unique items on the menu! We both enjoyed the black shiba- their take on black garlic oil ramen. As well as the gyoza for appetizers. All were great. The service was also top notch. Our server was kind checked in with us often. The vibe was cute with LED lights from the ceiling. Parking can be hard as it's a small lot but there is plenty of street parking around. we will for sure be back!

Yelp
Name was too cute I was not really expecting too much about taste. I am so much into Kawaii stuff, I was not sure if this place was suitable for me. But this is the best ramen in PB. So sorry the other ramen place, the one on Garnet, you are #2. Cuz my focus is always the soup. Does the soup make me wanna come back here again. And the answer is yes. The soup definitely had the depth in the spectrum of flavor I wanna experience. Only downside is, I wish there is some kinda rice menus because I wanna come back here with my family next time, and it makes things easier if I can get my hands on rice for my kid to eat. And also, I do wanna give a shout out to the staff here. Thank you for hanging on to my wallet that I accidentally forgot. They made sure I got it back in exact condition I left it in. Saved me all the troubles of having to cancel and getting new ID's and credit cards and stuff. Many thanks.

Yelp
I ordered online take out at Oi Shiba, they were quick and efficient when I picked up the order. The shop is small but cute with easy parking. I decided to get a red shiba and a black shiba. The red was for me and I thought the spice level was perfect. I also liked that it came with two full eggs. It was also packaged well with the broth on the bottom and other contents separate on top. I also saw they have a green ramen with pesto that sounds really interesting. I'll try that next time!

Yelp
Visiting San Diego, stopped by Oi Shiba to get my ramen fix. Food was delicious and hit the spot. Servers Liana & Justice were great.

Yelp
Got the Demon Shiba. It's a huge bowl and super delicious. I'm leaving very happy and full. Annika provided great service. Super prompt and friendly. This place is brand new and very cute on the inside. Great for a date night or ramen lunch spot.

Yelp
The ramen was amazinggggg Great customer service from Ethan. We loved the red shiba, white shiba, and the chicken karaage. Our 3 year old loved the chicken karaage and the hanging LED lights. We look forward to coming back.

Yelp
Empty bowl! It was great, Alex was super nice and attentive. The service and food were great, definitely recommend coming here for a meal.

Yelp
My second time here and still did not disappoint. I got the black shiba ramen (black garlic) they have a few other options as well such as spicy, vegan, pesto, etc. A lot of options to choose from in terms of ramen and other appetizers. The decor is so cute and is revolved around shibas! The team here is also awesome! Jacky is great he was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Customer service was great. Will be coming back again soon and maybe next time with a special guest shiba pup!
google avatar

Grace T.

Yelp
Great new ramen place in Pacific Beach. Easy parking on Garnet. We got the fried pork gyoza that was hot and crunchy. I had the white shiba ramen with egg, mushroom, and green onions. Not too salty.
google avatar

Mia S.

Yelp
I have now tried 4 different ramens from here and none of them disappointed! I couldn't even pick a favorite one. This is one of my favorite ramen spots I've tried. They are all unique and so flavorful. I only wish that they had more appetizers but it's still a 5 star spot. The staff is also so wonderful.
google avatar

Rosabel L.

Yelp
I love the theme behind this with the Shiba Inu dogs. The service was great. We got to talk to the manager for a bit and he was very friendly and excited about the place. Parking is relatively easy for this place. We went for late lunch. I got the red Shiba and with a side of hot sauce. Honestly, I didn't need that extra hot sauce. It was perfectly seasoned and perfect spice level for me (I tend to like spicier things). Presentation was good and the ramen was delicious. I would definitely have it again. George had the black Shiba which he loved. He accidentally spilled all his ramen while taking a picture of his and management was nice enough to give him a new bowl free of charge. We really appreciate that. The ramen is made fresh to order. We definitely loved it and will come back when we visit.
google avatar

Kevin D.

Yelp
Vibes were immaculate and very dog friendly which is awesome! I really enjoyed the white shiba ramen waiter was on it very fast and friendly I really enjoyed my visit

James A.

Yelp
Black Shiba Ramen (Black Garlic) - nothing spectacular, but satisfying. Portion size felt a little small for the price, but was balanced out by more meat than I'm used to seeing. Only real downside was the temperature was inconsistent. Noodles were much hotter than everything else. Not an issue really if you mix your ramen, but just an oddity Takoyaki - pretty good. Could go for a bit more octopus, but texture was perfect and it didn't burn my mouth which is often an issue when served too quickly. Service - Lee was very friendly and straightforward. Regularly checking in if we needed anything. Thanks! Atmosphere - very cute place. Not a lot of parking, but good location overall. Overall - nice ramen spot, great if you like the modern asian style and tasty/filling food.

Angeles M.

Yelp
Not only was the food amazing, our server Alex was phenomenal as well! I am not the biggest fan of pork so I decided to try a veggie option. And let me tell y'all it was the best decision ever! Will be trying veggie ramen more often. Please do not skip over the hidden gem!
google avatar

Matt L.

Yelp
One of the best ramen spots in San Diego, potentially the best I've had here!! Seriously excellent quality, flavor, noodles perfectly cooked, the egg was amazing Service is solid. Our boy Kyle was super fast and polite. Awesome little spot with great vibes too.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
The ambiance on the patio was delightful with the nice breeze from the beach. The server was very nice and prompt. The food came out quickly as well. My husband and I ordered the shiba red and shiba black with gyoza. Each ramen dish has so much flavor and these were equally delicious. I hope to return

U Thot U.

Yelp
The yellow Shiba ramen was amazing a rich curry broth that wasn't too thick. The honeydew lemonade was perfect with it, Very fast and friendly service with Ethan with a welcoming atmosphere, will be coming back again. Seeing a Shiba butt in my bowl made the expirence even better :)

Henry L.

Yelp
Yellow Shiba and Takoyaki were fire!! Our server Alex was very friendly, attentive and helpful! My friends got black and red shiba and both were also amazing. Good portion size. Cute vibes. 100% would come back

Yelp
A welcome addition to the area. Excellent ramen. Definitely the best in PB and some of the best I've had in San Diego. Menu is fairly simple but each ramen is flavorful and nicely composed. Thinly sliced chashu and perfectly cooked eggs. The broth is flavorful and just the right amount of fattiness. Noodles are perfectly cooked. Prefer this to Nishiki which is another favorite SD ramen.
google avatar

Anjuli B.

Yelp
This ramen was DELICIOUS. I got the White Shiba. Broth was creamy and flavorful! The egg was cooked perfectly. Noodles has right amount of chew. Staff was super friendly

Yelp
Parking - small parking lot and street parking. On a Thursday night, parking wasn't too bad. There were some spots available that are limited to one hour; we were able to find street parking within 5 minutes. Ambiance - clean and good amount of space. Decor - sleek furnishings and neon signs are a nice touch. Service - Matthew was very attentive. Our water cups were always full and he made sure our experience was top notch. Food - we ordered the Black Shiba, Chicken Teriyaki bowl, Chicken Karaage, and Matcha Tiramisu: *Black Shiba was tasty with the right amount of garlic, thinner than usual (not a bad thing) noodles, and a great broth. *Chicken Teriyaki bowl was good; I liked the char of the broccoli. *Chicken Karaage is where it's at. The pieces of chicken are HUGE! Definitely a must order. *Matcha Tiramisu was a good way to end the meal. Overall - 4.6 stars Cheers!

Yelp
The ramen was Delicious!! I tried the black Shiba option, and my goodness it was delectable. It has strong flavors but nothing too overpowering. Very balanced, most times black oil ramens tend to end up being too oily due to tonkutsu being on the fattier side. Not here! The noodles were thick enough and chewy and the added ingredients were a great addition to the dish. The smallest of gripes is maybe the chasu was a little thin, but it made it up in flavor and texture. The aesthetics were really chill. I loved the art they have on the walls. Plus the neon signs on the ceiling were a unique touch The service also was great right as we walked in greeted and seated. Gio, our server, was very attentive and offered to explain the menu to us, as it was our first time. Refilled waters and happily answered any questions we had about the place. Definitely coming back!

Liz F.

Yelp
Food here is soo good! We ordered the Red Shiba and loved it. Egg Yugu was so fluffy and divine.

Yelp
I stumbled across this ramen place by pure accident as I was on my way home. I was looking for late night chicken wings but all the kitchens had closed around PB which serendipitously led me to Oi Shiba!! They don't have physical menus but the person working, Annika, was super sweet and offered me their iPad to peruse. I was torn by the different ramen options and am normally non-verbal but she picked up on it quickly and asked if I'd like recommendations and whether or if I'd like more time. She was very accommodating and after much deliberation, I went with the yellow curry ramen. It was delicious and I'm sad I didn't take a picture when it first came out because the presentation was wonderful as well; I was just way too hungry to stop and take a photo XD All in all, glad I made the U turn to stop by for late night snack. ^-^

Alena M.

Yelp
Oi shiba is a local mission beach ramen. The food was amazing and our server Eugene was an exceptional server. He was attentive and was very kind. You should definitely come here.

Ve V.

Yelp
Stumble upon this amazing ramen place with cute decors and great service!! Rich and creamy broth, but not overly heavy after finishing the bowl. Would definitely come back!!!
google avatar

Rina S.

Yelp
I had black shiba. The noodle was thin and the flavor of the soup was good. It was a good snack for Saturday afternoon.
google avatar

Sheila K.

Yelp
Came here after hot yoga and had the black garlic and demon ramen. Both were so flavorful and the noodles were so fresh and soft. Would definitely recommend coming here for some good ramen in PB. Service was quick and the ramen come out fairly quick after we ordered. Eugene was our server and was very attentive.
google avatar

Ana B.

Yelp
The red Shiba was delicious. The gyoza dipping sauce was the best with a hidden spice level to it. Our server justice was great and so nice. The karaage was OK.

Haley H.

Yelp
Eugene was our server and he was so attentive and quick! The food was amazing and it was my first ramen and won't be my last definitely recommend this place! It's in a cute part of San Diego and a quick stop if you're looking for some good hot food!
google avatar

Yelp
Spotted this restaurant while in PB and had to go because I'm obsessed with Shibas. Got the red Shiba ramen which has a good kick, decent textured noodles. Takoyaki was nicely crispy on the outside and the chicken teriyaki bowl was solid. Cute interior. Would come back for more ramen.

Katie C.

Yelp
Yummy ramen and gyoza with super friendly service from Lee and easy to park on the street nearby! Seating was quick and our food came out pretty quickly too. This spot is kid friendly - lots of cool neon lights on the ceiling and the kid loved the chicken karaage.
