"Nestled in a quiet alley within the ultra-trendy Garosu-gil district, L'Oignon, which means “the onion” in French, is a French-based pescatarian restaurant that offers dishes made only with vegetables, fish, eggs and dairy products. With a steadfast dedication to the principles of ecological harmony and compassionate treatment of animals, the chef opened this eatery with the intention of imparting to patrons the wholesome sustenance he himself reveres. The kitchen uses vegetable broth with mushrooms as a substitute for rich meat broth and creates the texture of its cakes using cauliflower and pecorino cheese instead of flour. Yet, the umami flavors and textures produced through these novel means are as deep and as luscious as those concocted by conventional recipes. If the allure of a plant-based diet beckons, why not indulge in the captivating flavors of L'Oignon's pescatarian fare?" - Michelin Inspector

Restaurant is cozy but fancy. Food has great taste and technique yet has a sort of heartiness to it too. Chefs are very careful and kind, so we really had a pleasant time. Not to mention the moderate, affordable price... The chef here also pays extra careful attention to each and every ingredient used in the dishes, which is something worth mentioning.

The name of the store, which means onion in French. It is a vegan course meal that does not use chicken stock or meat. You can feel the delicate food on the plate. Cooking using abalone, fish cod, and mushrooms and citron desserts were so delicious and healthy. I recommend adding onion soup, and the family who went with me also enjoyed it so deliciously. I want to revisit dinner! The store is a small store that can accommodate a total of about 10 people, but it's an open kitchen, so you can see them making food in front of you.

A contemporary French restaurant with the pescatarian orientation, which gives the course freshness and lightness through the use of vegetables, herbs, and fish-based ingredients instead of meat. The chef's thoughtful development of the menu is presented through the delightful balance of flavors throughout the course, delivering richness without being heavy.
