Oil Can Harry's

The best disc in town (Studio City. CA). My alumni for my DJ career, starting in 1978-1985. Retro disco Saturday night is still going strong.

Great, unpretentious atmosphere. Huge dance floor! The one Saturday we went there the disco DJ was fantastic. Awesome bar with very reasonably priced drinks (killer whiskey sours). One note though - they don't serve food there so eat before you get there or bring a snack with you. They will let you bring your own food but no drinks of any kind from the outside, not even water.

Each story of the 2 story bar is like a totally different place. Upstairs it's more a chill homey vibe with karaoke and the bartenders are nicer. Downstairs there's a huge dance floor, the music choices could be better. Also don't bother ordering from the bartenders downstairs, they're too busy flirting and taking shots with random people. Also better to go on any day besides Friday or Saturday.

DISCO! But neglected. Great music, not enough bartenders for the business.. Which is up and down and ever-changing. But the music is consistent. If you like 70's and some.80's.. And a bar with a dance floor, OCH is a fun bar on a Saturday night. The 5 dollar cover supports the place.. Don't expect updated though. Upstairs you'll find a karaoke crowd with different music, seating, and a full bar.

You need to know it's a gay club, so don't walk in if you are easily offended. Been here twice on Saturdays to celebrate friend's birthdays. While there's Disco on the main floor, there's Karaoke on the second floor. Drinks are potent after making friends with the bartenders.

I really enjoy visiting and patronizing Oil Can Harry's every time I'm in the Los Angeles area. People of all ages are so friendly. Bar staff is fabulous. I really feel welcome from the moment I walk in. Never had a negative experience. Great job to all that's responsible for creating such a down home, inviting atmosphere. I've been to other great bars and clubs in notable cities. Oil Can Harry's ranks definitely within' the top 5 and I travel a lot. Great job. Guys and Gals. Cheers.

This club has been open for more than 50 years. Country dancing on Tuesdays and Fridays and Classic Disco on Saturday nights. Country dance lessons on Tuesdays. The upstairs bar is open everyday from 3 until 7. Half prices all the time upstairs.
