Absolutely outstanding. I was completely blown away by the flavor! The mushrooms were bold and delicious with a tang sauce. The herb & pecan crusted venison chops over squash and polenta was so good, executed so well, I couldn’t believe I was in KC. The tamales with the sauces were so delightful and fun, I can’t believe we almost passed them up. The Chef designs the menu around the featured artist and exhibition, so it changes every month or couple of months. The way that he was able to execute on these local foods - wild nettle pesto, mushrooms, corn, squash, beans, kale, paw paw ice cream - leaves no doubt in my mind that whatever it changes to is going to be worth a visit, and any chance taken on a menu item will be a rewarding surprise. We built in time to check out the art, and I was impressed and so pleasantly surprised. Getting a chance to experience the menu inspired by the art made for a delightful and memorable evening for us. We can’t wait to come back! I seriously can’t recommend this place enough for a special dinner.
