Oise By Brad Kilgore Opens in Wynwood | Eater Miami

"At a Wynwood pop-up from James Beard nominee and finalist Brad Kilgore and Andrew Mayer of OG Hospitality, I experienced an ‘itameshi’ approach that blends traditional Italian and Japanese elements into intensely umami dishes. The counter-service menu features inventive items like a chicken parm katsu sando made with dashi-brined chicken and smoked mozzarella, an umami pomodoro, and an udon carbonara that combines egg yolk, black truffle, and toasted sesame seeds; there’s also a cacio pepe breadstick served with peppercorn miso Alfredo or an upgrade to uni fondue. The fettuccine pomodoro pairs Italian pomodoro sauce with basil, olive oil, and yuzu butter, and the tuna nigiri is seasoned with tamari-Calabrian chili ponzu; dessert is a dark cherry–infused kakigori shaved ice with pistachio gelato. An Itameshi-inspired $60 omakase platter is available, and Kilgore’s Pizza Freak Co appears here as an Itameshi Pizza topped with Italian herbs, shredded nori, and pickled cherry peppers. Drinks highlight frozen sake slushies (yuzu margarita and strawberry versions) infused with sake, alongside an eclectic sake bottle selection, wines, and beers. The pop-up is walk-in friendly with a large outdoor patio and lounge, located at 2335 N Miami Avenue next to Miss Crispy Rice at Oasis, and will run through early summer 2024 with opening hours during the first month Thurs–Fri 5 p.m.–10 p.m. and Sat–Sun noon–10 p.m." - Olee Fowler

Oise Ristorante is an absolute gem! The Italian–Japanese fusion dishes were bursting with flavor — truly 10/10. Every plate we tried was to die for, beautifully crafted, and so unique. The drinks were just as impressive: refreshing, delicious, and perfectly paired with the menu. The atmosphere was such a vibe — modern, stylish, and elevated by lush green décor that makes the whole space feel vibrant and refreshing. Everywhere you look, there are picture-perfect backdrops that make the restaurant as visually stunning as the food itself. Service was excellent from start to finish, and the bartenders were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. This spot is definitely an up-and-coming restaurant that deserves all the hype. We will absolutely be back! 🍣🍝✨

I honestly can’t stop thinking about my meal at OISE — everything was amazing from start to finish! The gyoza dumplings have an amazing ramen broth, and the dynamite crab roll and spicy tuna crispy rice… wow. Total flavor bomb. The bolognese was rich and flavorful the skirt steak and golden potatoes were perfectly cooked, and the desserts were next-level — that caramel tiramisu and pistachio gelato unreal…. You can tell every detail is made with love. The cocktails were awesome too (the yuzumisu margarita was perfection). The staff is on it ! Super attentive! Such a fun, welcoming vibe and incredible food — I left already planning my next visit!

Food and drinks were outstanding. Great vibe. Esthetically pleasing all around, from the decor to the food and drinks everything was beautiful and had thought put in. Lucas and Anthony made the visit that much more special. They truly understand the meaning of hospitality and deliver it effortlessly. They gave great recommendations on the menu and also places in the area to visit. Can't say enough. We will 100% be back when in the area and will be recommending it to everyone.

Hunter was absolutely amazing so personable and amazing at making guests feel welcome! Thank you to Jessica and Luke who made the best mocktails! Pedro and Brad also stopped by to say hello during our visit. I highly recommend. We dined at 5:30 and the timing was so perfect, we beat the dinner rush. The mocktails were fresh and the food was incredible. I loved the sushi and the sashimi. I also loved the pistachio gelato!!! 10/10

When Italian and sushi collide, you get pure magic. Every bite at Oise Ristorante in downtown Fort Myers, FL delivers a bold, savory punch that feels straight out of L.A. The vibe? Spot on—trendy, energetic, and full of flavor. The Coco cocktail and margarita went down like ice cream—smooth, perfectly crafted, and dangerously tasty. The dynamite crab roll was melt-in-your-mouth amazing, and the sashimi was as fresh as it gets. The caramelized meatballs were unforgettable, and both the local grouper and filet were cooked to absolute perfection. Hands down, this is the best food and drinks you’ll find within 100 miles. The guy at the bar said he’s eaten here five times already and couldn’t stop raving about it. He wasn’t wrong—this place is that good. Welcome to town, Chef Kilgore—you’ve officially raised the bar for Fort Myers dining. #OiseRistorante #FortMyersFoodie #ItalianMeetsSushi #FoodieHeaven #DowntownFortMyers #FloridaEats #SushiLovers #ItalianCuisine #FoodieGoals #RealEstateJodiEats

Google
I typically don’t write reviews, but after my recent visit to Oise in Fort Myers, I felt it was worth sharing. Unfortunately, the experience started off on the wrong foot, the blonde hostess was extremely rude and had an attitude not just toward me but several guests waiting to be seated. It really sets the wrong tone for such a lovely restaurant. She should absolutely not be the first face people encounter when walking in. Thankfully the manager was there to save the day. That said, the evening was completely turned around thanks to Dylon and Ari, who were both outstanding. They went above and beyond, attentive, warm, and seemingly able to anticipate what guests needed before asking. Service like that is rare and truly appreciated. Josh, the bartender, deserves a special mention, his crafted cocktails were nuanced, well balanced, and easily some of the best in town. He genuinely elevates the entire experience at Oise. The food took a little longer to come out than expected, but it was well worth the wait. The meatball in particular is divine, rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed. The ambiance captures that East Coast fun energy, stylish, social, and lively. Despite the rocky start, Oise remains a great addition to Fort Myers, thanks to the incredible service and culinary team behind the scenes. I would give this establishment 5 stars if it wasn’t for the hostess.

I visited this restaurant last weekend for a birthday dinner and was really excited because of how beautiful and aesthetically pleasing the interior looked. We arrived around 7 PM and waited about 15 minutes for the rest of our party. We placed our order around 7:50, but the service was extremely slow — it seemed like they either needed more servers or more cooks. Our waitress, Ari, was very friendly and clearly doing her best with limited support. When the food finally arrived around 8:30 PM, we were disappointed. The sushi platter (around $50) looked very plain, and one of the rolls, the Snowbird, had a strong fishy taste, so we didn’t finish it and sent it back. It was expensive but not enjoyable. One of our friends ordered the Wagyu steak, which came out quickly, but her potatoes didn’t arrive for another 30 minutes despite asking several times. Ironically, the potatoes ended up being the best-tasting item of the night — I’d actually recommend those. The bathrooms were another letdown, with bins overflowing with toilet paper, which was not something I expected from a restaurant that otherwise looked so nice. Overall, I left feeling like I overpaid for the food and was mostly paying for the restaurant’s aesthetics rather than the quality or service. After dinner, our waitress gave us cards for a bar across the street, so we went there afterward. About 15 minutes later, she showed up with another employee (Carlos, I believe) and asked my friend if she knew who Alejandro was — referring to me. She then talked about my review and asked me to remove it because it was negative, while also buying our group eight shots. At the time, I felt pressured to delete it, but looking back, I realize how inappropriate that was. I’m reposting my honest experience so management is aware. I truly hope the restaurant invests in better staffing and training because the atmosphere itself is great — it just deserves better service and professionalism to match.

Yelp
Oise Ristorante in Fort Myers knocked it out of the park! We had the pleasure to meet one of the owners Brad and he was very much engaged and involved in restaurant operations, very nice personable guy. The ambiance is lovely with nice comfortable curved booths along with regular tables and a decent sized bar. Although the restaurant was fairly busy, it was easy to converse and not one of those restaurants where you can't hear yourself think. We had Dylan for our server - he made such great suggestions from start to finish! Not to mention being very attentive! We will ask for him when we return. The vibe is very much what we like, being from Philly, it reminded us of some restaurants we used to frequent. As far as the food, you won't find this anywhere else! From the cocktails to the sushi rolls to the entrees with the perfect combo of Asian and Italian. We started with each of our favorite drinks, a margarita and an old fashioned. They put their own twist on both and they were a great sign of things to come. We then moved on to appetizers (yes we overordered but were excited to try as many menu options as we could). We ordered the dynamite crab roll and the spicy tuna roll along with the prosciutto and burrata. I loved them all but the one I will dream about is the crab roll! For entrees, I had the chicken parm and my husband had the giant meatball. Both absolutely amazing! We finished with the pistachio gelato which was finished with sea salt and it was the perfect ending to our meal. Simply delicious! The chef here is amazing and I will ask to meet him next time we visit. And yes there will be many "next times"! I think this is exactly what Fort Myers needed! Looking forward to bringing our friends and family.

Yelp
I had the chance to visit the new Oise Ristorante this past Saturday, and it's safe to say it exceeded expectations. Having walked past earlier in the week, I was already looking forward to my reservation -- especially once I heard DJ [@chrissygarcia] would be setting the soundtrack for the evening. From the moment we sat down, the service was exceptional. Our server, Ranie, set the tone with small details that made a big impact -- like the slow, classical opening of our bottle of 1985 Carbiòna Sauvignon Blanc. It was such an elegant touch, the kind that makes you pause and appreciate the craft. The night started with Rosé Whispering Angel, crisp and refreshing, before moving into shared plates of Ginza dumplings. The flavors were balanced and thoughtful, pairing beautifully with the wines. Oise's menu is clearly designed for those who want more than just dinner -- it's a culinary dialogue between Italian depth and Japanese precision. As the evening progressed, the vibe shifted seamlessly from fine dining into something more vibrant. Once [@chrissygarcia] started her set, the restaurant came alive -- the music added rhythm to the laughter and conversation at our table. It wasn't just a meal; it became an experience. We closed the night with a toast among friends, glasses raised in celebration of food, music, and community. It's rare to find a place that captures all three so perfectly. Highlights: * Service by Ranie: polished, warm, and attentive. * Wine program: thoughtful, with classics like Whispering Angel and unique vintages. * Atmosphere: intimate yet energetic, especially with live DJ sets. * Location: a fresh branch, close to the taco shop with a hidden speakeasy -- turning this street into a true food + culture hub. Pro Tip: Order the dumplings, let the staff guide your wine pairing, and stay long enough for the music to transform your evening. Oise Ristorante isn't just a new restaurant -- it's a signal of how Southwest Florida dining is evolving: more refined, more experiential, and absolutely unforgettable.

Yelp
Was absolutely blown away by our dining experience at the brand new Oise Ristorante in Downtown Fort Myers. The meal was prepared by the impressive Chef Brad Kilgore and the menu was a unique fusion of Japanese and Italian flavors. Here's what we ordered: ~Sakura Sour: Japanese toki whiskey, umeshu, lemon juice, egg white, cherry blossom bitters ~Matcha Vesuvio: haku vodka, matcha syrup, whipped lemon, matcha ash ~Surf n turf roll- torched scallop, smoked bacon, Aji-roasted garlic aioli, blistered green onion, rosemary. I'm not usually a fan of sushi, but this roll made me a fan! It was absolutely delicious and the aioli was perfection. ~Dynamite Crab roll - togarashi aioli, garlic chips, warm buttered crab, lemon butter ponzu, scallions Another incredible roll! ~Wagyu sirloin steak 8oz with wasabi horseradish, yuzu-mustard brown butter, sweet sorry black peppercorn sauce. The steak was beyond tender and cooked to perfection. Absolutely one of the best steaks I've ever had and a MUST order. ~THE Caramelized Meatball- wagyu beef, caramelized fondue, red miso marinara, toasted sesame garlic bread. Probably the biggest meatball you've ever seen. ~Crispy golden potatoes- truffle-Parmesan dashi, fried rosemary, black peppercorn, bonito flakes Make sure you go out and try Oise Ristorante. The decor is trendy and earthy and the food will absolutely blow your mind. Make sure you try that wagyu sirloin.

Yelp
Innovative and imaginative menu with Italian and Japanese fusion. Enjoy sitting outside on beautiful fall nights, though the inside decor is really cool. Really enjoyed the dumplings (with the broth). Just the perfect amount of heat that lingers. The burrata and prosciutto was good but messy and could have used to point toast points. We enjoyed the unique variety on the rolls, though they are some of the thinnest we've had. Service was really good too.

Yelp
Not sure when this place opened or if it was always here and I never knew but the food was great. The decor was very modern with minimalist but japanese decor and greenery. We had reservations for a Saturday night and it was busy. We had reservations but for outdoors and we decided to sit inside, meaning we sat at the bar. The staff was running around and busy but the service could've been better. We had an evening planned, arrived at 7:50, didn't order until 8:05 but food didn't come out until 8:40 which set us back. The disapointing part was that we had expressed that we were in a rush and thought we ordered dishes that would be out quickly but we didn't get to eat any in the space, instead had to take it all to go, bummer. Would love to come back but now knowing that it would take some time.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had to check out Oise when it opened up as it's definitely the most aesthetically appealing restaurant in Fort Myers. I really enjoyed the interior design which focused a lot on greenery (although my boyfriend didn't appreciate that it was fake greenery lol). We started out with the sushi. I can't tell you which one is which, but the truffle one came the truffle yuzu dipping sauce which was to die for. The sushi was good but the sauce made it great. The caveat to that was that they all tasted somewhat similar but oh well. Then we had the meatball. The meatball was good but nothing crazy. It came with an awkward piece of bread that didn't make any sense for the dish. It was tough to break apart and it didn't do anything to the meatball so we weren't sure why it was there. Then came the pasta, which was good but tasted better as my leftovers the next day lol. Then we had the tiramisu which was really unique and yummy. All in all, the ambience is there and there's room for improvement but I enjoyed everything to a degree.

Yelp
A fantastic fusion of Italian & Asian in downtown Fort Myers with a Miami vibe we needed around here. Loved everything my friends & I tried. Pretty much tapas style. The decor was inviting with lush green wall flares. Excellent service to go with it. I particularly enjoyed my pasta bolognese & Tuna rolls pictured below.

Yelp
We started celebrating Rebecca's birthday month.. early with a night out in Downtown Fort Myers. We began with dinner at Oise a new restaurant that just opened in Downtown Fort Myers. Oise's decor is chic and modern. This place did not disappoint. It truly left you wanting to come back for more. It was not just the food it was an experience!! Miami - based, and award winning Chef Brad Kilgore and partners are completely changing, and up leveling the culinary scene in the area. Stay tuned for another Oise opening in Downtown Cape Coral. She started with a crafted cocktail the Matcha Vesuvio - A blend of matcha, likely with other complementary flavors, described as herbal, earthy, and unexpectedly smooth. It's a great twist to a peruvian Pisco Sour. We started our culinary experience with the Peruvian Ceviche Roll - Coconut Leche De Tigre, Aji Amarillo Aioli, Red Onion, Swirled Culantro, an explosion of flavors in our mouth! It truly tasted like ceviche! Then we had the Caramelized Meatball - Wagyu Beef, Caramelized Fondue, Red-Miso Marinara, Toasted Sesame Garlic Bread. Just WOW!! For main course we had the Truffle Sesame Carbonara Pappardelle Pasta, Black Truffle, Pecorino, Egg Yolk, Black Sesame. I wish you could see my face when I tasted and ate this!!! We also had the Black Angus Skirt Steak, Medium Rare. It was perfectly cooked and extremely tender. The flavors were so intense - it didn't need any of the three choice of sauces that are served with it on the side. But they are a nice compliment for those who like to add sauce. And For dessert we had their Tiramisu not like a traditional Tiramisu this was next level. It was so good that I realized it was gone before I could even take a picture. Later in the night and at closing time we shared and tried additional craft cocktails. Their famous Lychee Martini and their Old Fashion with a twist. At that point we were enjoying ourselves so much we did not capture those in the pictures. I truly give this place 5-Stars and can't wait to go back! Highly highly and highly recommend it!!! Let me know when you are going, I might join you!

Yelp
Amazing new place in town! Stopped by for cocktails and appetizers and can't wait to go back for dinner!

Yelp
Vibrant and very busy restaurant on a Saturday night. I ordered a drink which was promptly served. I decided on the Spicy Tuna Roll with roasted garlic aioli, kimchi-chili sauce, cilantro and serrano chili along with the Snowbird roll with smoked salmon, blue crab, basil boursin, everything furjkake, and cucumber. All were served freshly prepared and perfectly balanced. Definitely a welcome and refreshing taste to downtown Fort Myers. Todd and J(ay)...who served me a taste of the special margarita...were great servers/bartenders. I'lll definitely be back!!!!

Jay G.

Yelp
First, your GPS will not take you to the entrance. Google maps took us down an alley to the back door. A nice guy minding the rear entrance of a nearby restaurant told us that happens all the time, and offered to let us cut through his restaurant so we would not have to walk all the way around the block. I should have seen the signs and eaten at his restaurant. Three people, two hostesses and a manager, ignored us at the desk outside the front door while one dealt with a couple who did not want to wait, but also did not have reservations. We did. We had reserved indoor seating, but they sat us outside. My wife went inside to use the bathroom, and said it was loud, crowded, and ugly inside. She also said there was a line of men and women, because they have unisex bathrooms. We got our appetizers and cocktails in a reasonable time, but our entrees took nearly an hour. I had just made the decision to get the check and leave when they brought our entrees out. I went there for the wagyu. That was the reason I chose Oise. I had never had wagyu. The steak I was served (medium rare) was rubbery and flavorless. Also, the wine I had requested to be served with my entree arrived after I had finished my meal. Cocktails are not very good. The food is not good at all. The service and ambience are terrible. I will not be going back, and I do not recommend it to anyone.
google avatar

MJ L.

Yelp
My husband and I have been dying to try Oise. We couldn't understand how Italian and Japanese could be fused together but now we get it. Imagine taking the best elements from each culture and expertly curating the perfect bite. Sushi with bacon and scallops? Chicken parm with panko and chili crisp? We're not sure how it works, but it does. Besides the stellar service and creative cocktail list, the star of the show (for us anyway) was the ceviche sushi roll. This refreshing roll packed a bold citrus flavor that knocked us off our seat. Dinner was a bit pricy, so it's not a place we'll be visiting regularly, but we will find our way back in the near future...I'm sure of it.

Yelp
From the moment we walked in the door our wonderful gastronomic experience began. Every dish we ordered was phenomenal. I do not eat sushi so I cannot remember the names of the dishes pictured, but my friends raved about them! The meatball was loved by all and so was the tiramisu. Not pictured were my favorites- the chicken and the shishito peppers. Mind blowing! The service was spot on as well. Returning next week as I cannot stop thinking about the chicken..
google avatar

Katie G.

Yelp
The food was good, not great. We ordered bread sticks , potatoes and the meatball. It all came out at once (not expecting that ) the breadsticks and sauce were cold, but tasted probably even better hot. The meatball was good, but nothing special, but the potatoes were the star in my opinion. Super crispy, perfectly seasoned , yogurt sauce under... yum! I was a little bummed with the service bc that's why we go out , it was sub par . The ambiance is very chic but not too much. Very fun. Will be going back to see if service is better 2nd time, just opened, so I assume still training staff and ironing out kinks. Excited to try other things on menu

Yelp
Our neighbors and good friends, the Soldavillas, reserved a table for six and, WOW, were we impressed!! Not only was every course we ordered delicious, along with the Sangiovese wine; but chef Brad Kilgore's surprises (the chef is a good friend of our neighbors) were spectacular!! We will DEFINITELY be back and will share this find with others we know!!

Vinay D.

Yelp
We consider ourselves foodies and love eating out. We've been waiting to try Oise since it opened. Finally got to go. Everything was great until the main course came. We told the food runner when he brought the food, we were missing the broccolini, and he said he doesn't have enough hands. We said, oh, of course, no problem, thank you, just letting you know. His comment was unecessary. Then the broccolini didn't come for about 10-12 mins, and my wife wanted the veggies more than the entree, really. It finally came after we were 80% done with the meal. I couldn't even enjoy my meal, because my wife was waiting and kept looking for her veggies. The way the manager handled the situation wasn't ideal. He didn't approach us until I talked to him. They already took off the veggies from the bill, then after I talked to him, they offered a free dessert. We just wish the food runner wasn't sarcastic and they handled the mistake/delayed item sooner, better, etc. Joe was a good server, but he seemed helpless to provide a solution to the bring the side on time. It's not really his fault but he could've brought an alternative or (I don't know) figured something out. Food was good over-all, but service and management could've been handled better.

Yelp
Best. Restaurant . Ever . Went tonight for my 41st. Superior service, attention to my gluten allergy and unbelievable flavors and presentation. I haven't eaten better anywhere, even in Los Angeles. My favorite ? Their spicy tuna crispy rice. I could eat that everyday. My chicken was perfect and their crispy potatoes are succulent little flavor bombs . Inclusive , chill environment and welcoming staff . Dig it !!! GREAT wine selection .

Yelp
If you are coming just order the Dynamite Crab Roll, if you are doing the platters just ask for 3 or 5 of those and that's it. Gyozas are good and different with that Italian sausage in it. Ambiance was really loud and full inside so we just asked for a table in the sidewalk it is quieter.

Best meal I've had in Ft. Myers. We ordered apps, entrees, drinks, and dessert and everything was amazing.

Yelp
We tried Oise for the first time and we loved it! Fort Myers needed this. The restaurant was too busy and did not have a table for us, so we sat at the bar and the bar was fabulous! Drinks were great, and the food is great! And if you are a wine lover, they actually have a very good wine list! Later in the evening, we found out that the restaurant was only on its third day of being open! We were all very impressed at how Smoothly things were running for only being day three! Even though the bartender was super slammed, he still took the time to explain their unique drinks to us and even talked us into the matcha martini and it was divine! We will be returning for another girls night very soon!

Anna E.

Yelp
We dined the second night it opened. Was a little nervous but they really exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious. Smaller portions but it wasn't like we left hungry it was just the right amount so you don't over eat or have left overs. The ambience was spot on. The dumplings were fantastic. The fettuccine has a nice spice kick to it. Would go back. Everyone enjoyed their food. Service was a bit slow but we're just giving the benefit of the doubt bc it was the second night of opening.

Yelp

Yelp
We had our first experience at Oise last night. Coming from an Italian descent I was a little skeptical, but I have to say this place stood above the rest! Food, staff and ambience was amazing! If you like good food, pleasant staff and beautiful surrounding this is the place for you! We will be back!

hanz r.

Yelp
Ari was our server and she was absolutely amazing! So personable and nice, which is hard to come across especially in a nicer restaurant. Carlo was also such a joy to talk with and so helpful. The food was also great, we had the crispy tuna rice appetizer, the spicy tuna roll, and the snowbird roll. As sushi experts, this was amazing. We also ordered the Caesar salad, which was so unique, but also amazing. For dessert, we finished with the pistachio gelato with olive oil and sea salt, so divine!!! Overall my favorite were the crispy rice, Caesar, and spicy tuna, but you can't go wrong with anything. The chef was also so amazing and deserves all the flowers this place should get. 11/10, but you should 100% check it out for yourself.

Max W.

Yelp
This is the worst restraurant I've ever had in my entire life. We had a reservation and our seat was on the far side of the sidewalk no where near the restaurant we got the salmon and tuna crispy rice and it came with 3 of each for 40 dollars in total this restaurant is a complete joke and I have no clue how they are still in business

Ce N.

Yelp
This restaurant is a great addition to DTFM! Sorry we didn't take any pictures but we had the dynamite crab roll and the hamachi and both were flavorful, beautiful and delicious! Drinks we great too!

Hannah E.

Yelp
service was amazing! food was good! ambiance was more than satisfactory! will definitely be returning

Yelp
Visited on day 2 in the life cycle of Oise, and it didn't disappoint. Openings can be hectic and disorganized, but they had it together. We made an early reservation, so maybe the busy dinner crowd just hadn't gotten there yet. Decor was beautiful, a true transformation from the previous tenant in the space. Staff was knowledgeable about offerings. They recommend sharing style, that being said, portions would be considered on the small side, especially if you had more then 2 people. Dumplings were soft and delicious, definitely eat with the spoon so you can enjoy the broth. While the filling is sausage, there was a very pepperoni like taste to them. Spicy sushi was not overly spicy and the aioli complemented. The chicken parm was crunchy and juicy. Pro tip, smash the tomatoes and chili crunch all over the top to get a great "sauce". Speaking of sauces, the accompanying aioli could have been my second martini, it was yummy! The bathrooms were nice, but between the paint on the walls and choice of floor, ot was a bit conflicted to the greenery and bamboo look mirror. Im sure they will soon realize a larger trash can will also be required. Tables in the dining room are too close together, staff had difficulty getting around. Two top tables are also a bit too small when you consider sharing plates, drinks, water glasses, silverware, chopsticks, a terrarium and a lamp. 4 drinks, 3 food items = $135. Congrats on the new endeavor and we will be back! Tha ks for kicking off my birthday weekend on a high note!
