Oishii Donburi

Had the Sakedon with miso soup and seaweed salad on the side. It was quite delicious and filling. The free barley tea was great as well. Can’t wait for my next visit!

We ordered take out on a Sunday evening and it was ready in 15 minutes! The domburi were abundant portions. I got the shrimp domburi and the breading was delicious and fried to perfection. It's a minute walk from Lolev brewing and we'll definitely order take our from here often. Recommended!

This Lawrenceville treasure really satisfies in more than one department. Their food is fresh, consistent, flavorful, and satiating. Service is far about the average expectation, professional, and quick. The atmosphere trends on the smaller side, but is most certainly not a deal breaker. In the warmer months, the personal outside seating is a real pleasure. Unless restrictions prevent you, fear nothing on their menu. It’s all taste bud approved. This is not a place for big social gatherings, or even medium sized groups, but rather a more personal setting (a friend or two). If you’re a local, live in the surrounding area, or just passing through, my recommendation is to plan a visit.

Decent food and atmosphere, I just wish they posted somewhere their “no sharing” rule. I went with a group expecting to split with my girlfriend since we’re tight on cash, but that idea was put down, so I was just gonna get an appetizer, but that was also apparently not enough, I had to get a full meal to sit (at least from what I gathered from the experience). Again, decent food and the place is nice but it was just frustrating to hear that after my friends ordered, I felt pressured to get more. Pls put a posting up saying no sharing!

I absolutely love Oishi. I eat here at least once a week. My kids love the katsu chicken— overall, it's reliable and consistent. You know exactly what you're getting all the time. I also love that they are always so friendly.

Super clean place with amazing food! Portions were huge and totally worth the price. Had to take leftovers home!

The food is good. No complaints there. The service is another matter. After we ordered, we watched the cashier start a full on argument with the next customer in line who was ordering an appetizer and an entree. The cashier asked him something like “and for her?” And he explained that they were going to share the food. The customer tried way too hard to get to order the food, he asked if he could just order take out… no… if he could just order for himself only and eat there… also met with a no… he literally begged to get to place and order… no. It was so weird. The guy ended up swearing and storming out, and rightfully so. Now mind you, we had gone in with our children and had ordered three meals and two soups. We always order things to share otherwise half the food goes to waste. Ended up being a very uncomfortable meal for us because The cashier glared at us The entire time with such intensity… We will definitely never be back. I don’t understand how this restaurant thinks this policy benefits them. They’re not losing any money when people share food. They are losing money when people don’t buy any food at all and tell their friends about their bad experiences.

So many restaurants have food that makes me feel lethargic after eating, but not this one. The ingredients all taste really fresh and it’s not greasy or heavy. Love how large the portions are. I got lunch from here and craved it for lunch the next day too. Will definitely be a regular!
