If you are looking for an activity with a calm and peaceful vibe, this is it. It’s a beautiful short drive away from the main road and it’s worth it. The ladies are sweet. Dog-friendly in outdoor areas and plenty of parking too. We ended up purchasing the Tuscan Herb Infused Olive Oil and Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar after our tasting. I would recommend this place to my family and friends.

Google
This place was a great spot to sample their high-quality olive oil. We enjoyed an olive oil tasting, but the bread was too hard, making it difficult to fully appreciate the flavors. However, the ambiance was wonderful, being out in nature was a nice experience. The service was good. My favorite part, though, was the drive to the place, it was scenic.

Google
not far from los angeles good day trip to taste learn olive oil - tasting room with many samples - overall nice shade relax area - will recommend to friends

Google
FEB2025 - nice place to visit to get a preview of Ojai farming richness and olive culture. Oil tasting is a good experience, even if the bread used for it was so so (old?)

Google
The olive oils were infused with rosemary, garlic, pixie tangerines and lemon, to name a few and they were delicious. The balsamic vinegars would not be second best and did not disappoint. The honey ginger and cinnamon pear had amazing flavors as well. They have outdoor seating for the tasting and welcome pets on leash. We will definitely stop in again next time we travel through Ojai.

Google
One of the finest olive oil producers in socal. Tastings are only $15 and can be shared. When you get to the fork near the end, go left through the single lane road and you will see it after a minute. Free parking. Very dog friendly. Buy 12 bottles, get 1 free (hidden promo, ask about it).

We were here in November 2023 and had a delightful tasting experience given the varied selection of balsamic vinegars and olive oils, and infusions. After much deliberation we decided to get a big bottle of truffle infused olive oil, and two small bottles of white and espresso balsamic respectively. We like to pair them on sourdough and baguette and just about on any bread and salad, elevating the flavours of a standard home meal. We plan to be back soon to restock!

Google
Definitely recommend this place especially if you love infused vinegar & oils. Their offerings are delicious and some of the infused vinegars are the best I've had. Best part is the place itself which is so serene and peaceful.

Yelp
Wow! The drive out to their farm was amazing. Acres of orchards. They have a location downtown but definitely recommend going out to the farm. We were immediately welcomed and escorted to the tasting room. Tasting included about 30 EVOOs and balsamics. You get delicious sourdough bread to dip into the many choices. So peaceful sitting under the trees. The occasional rooster crow is kind of a fun addition to the experience. Would we do it again? Absolutely! Cheers!

Yelp
Ojai Olive Oil is a charming spot to visit if you're in Ojai and looking for something unique to do while picking up a practical souvenir. This small, family-run farm produces local, organic olive oil and also offers a selection of balsamic vinegars sourced from Italy. During my visit, I purchased the Signature and Provencale extra virgin olive oils, as well as the Traditional and White balsamic vinegars. I've since cooked with the Signature olive oil, and it added a wonderful depth of flavor to my dishes. The shop offers tastings for $15, which includes a chance to sample all their olive oils and vinegars. After they pour the samples, you can take them outside to enjoy at their lovely picnic area. It's a cute and relaxed experience, but if I were to do it again, I'd come prepared with water, crackers, or even a small lunch to cleanse my palate between tastings. It's a fun, slightly quirky activity--sitting down to taste oils and vinegars--but it's definitely worth it. Now I know how to make the most of it next time!

Yelp
A must-visit for a unique and beautiful stop while in Ojai! The drive into the grounds was beautiful and once we parked as we walked to the tasting room, we were in love with how serene and peaceful the property was! The staff was very sweet and knowledgeable with anything you'd need or want to know and made setting up quick and simple! We split a tasting board for 3, which was plenty, and got to self-pour our flavors to the corresponding spot it had marked on the board, which in itself was kind of fun. There are tons of oils and balsamic vinegars to sample and the quality is truly unmatched. They provided bread to dip and we were able to grab more if needed! Altogether it was only $15 which was more than reasonable! We didn't have time to explore the grounds beyond the tasting area but from that alone I'd highly recommend stopping by!

Yelp
I have been going to Ojai olive oil for many years, I love its location and the products are great quality. We went between Christmas and new year and it was super packed. The owners seemed overwhelmed and stressed out but that didn't rub me the wrong way - but I can imagine other people could get upset. Tastings used to be free but it's now $15 for new visitors and $10 for returning ones. I thought the tasting tray was great and we were given half a baguette to dip which was really good bread. There are few tables to sit and hang out under the olive trees. The road to access is very narrow before parking by the way.
google avatar

Yelp
A great destination if you're in the area, the olive oil tasting was fun in a pleasant outdoor setting. Pretty reasonable price given the extent of tasting options. Ultimately we liked the products, but didn't love them, and did not purchase a bottle when we realized they are priced similarly to the higher quality oils we would typically purchase. I think harvest year likely has a big impact on flavor year to year, so we think we'll be back next year!

Yelp
A fun tasting experience when visiting Ojai! For $15, you get unlimited bread and olive oil and balsamic vinegar to try. Open from 10-4 pm, plenty of parking and outdoor space to sample the olive oils and vinegars. The workers are very lovely and sweet. Our favorites: Tuscan herb oo, white truffle oo, raspberry balsamic vinegar and pomegranate balsamic vinegar

Yelp
Visited Ojai Olive Oil on a recent trip to Ojai. We tasted through their selections, relaxed under the trees, and left with a few bottles of infused olive oil and balsamic to enjoy at home. It's a great experience to include in your Ojai day trip.

Yelp
I drove out from Los Angeles to spend the day with my family here because Yelp and Google said they were open. We also called and the voicemail service stated they were open everyday. Unfortunately when we arrived we were greeted by a disgruntled owner yelling at customers in the parking lot. He was kind to us and requested we go home because the " private property " is closed today. Such a strange way to start the new year. You can't trust their online presence.

Yelp
This gem is off the beaten path and well worth a visit. We drove back up into the hills above Ojai, drove through two small creeks to arrive. We parked, entered the tasting room and were greeted by Beth. She was so helpful and friendly. The tasting room is fairly large and filled with a variety of olive oils all made from the olives that grow on the property and Balsamic vinegars from Italy. The tasting is well worth the $15 We filled our paper cups, put them on the tasting board along with the sourdough bread we were given and walked out to sit at a picnic table under the olive trees to taste, savor and enjoy our picnic lunch. The atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful and all of the oils and vinegars were high quality and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, learned a lot about the olives, varieties, harvest and making the oils. Back in the tasting room, I picked up a few of my favorites and we said our goodbyes. A real gem in Ojai.

Yelp
My husband and I fell in love with this olive oil. The quality is amazing, and we love being able to order online from home!

Yelp
Okay, this was just a cool visit as part of my Ojai trip. The property isn't set up for tours at this time, and you can't really walk around, but doing the tasting is a lot of fun. There's a one-room "tasting room" where all the oils and vinegars are set out. You pay $10 and get some bread, an explanation sheet, and a little tray to fill up with paper cups of the different varieties. Then you take everything outside to taste. There are lots of tables and seats, and you'll need to make two trips in and out to get all the samples. Note that dogs are not allowed with you in the room, but can hang out with you while you do the actual tasting. There's a shaded gated off area to the side where you can keep your dog while you go inside. Very nice setup. Doing the tasting is really fun. It's really a nice place to hang out anyway, and the tasting just adds to the fun. I wasn't a fan of the vinegars (too sweet), but the olive oils were very nice. I especially enjoyed seeing how the different olive varieties affected the flavor of the oil. If you're in the area, definitely make a stop!

Yelp
$15 for a tray of all the options offered for olive oil and balsamic vinaigrettes, which can be split between 2 people. This was a fun experience and we walked away with 2 large olive oil bottles and a little olive tree plant as a gift for my Mother-in-law.

Yelp
What a fun experience. The ladies working were so helpful and kind. They walked us through every step of the way. I feel like I've never had olive oil or balsamic before this experience. The oils were sooooo gooood! I didn't know an oil could be so flavorful. And the vinegarettes were like a dessert. Wow! My kids and I ended up just drinking the samples instead of dipping bread inside of them. They have you go outside to sample the oils, and I'm so glad they do because the scenery is beautiful. The tables, benches, and cute swings. Perfect for a girl trip or a date with that special someone.

Milena R.

Yelp
We arrived at 3:20 with every intent to do the olive oil tasting with 40 minutes before closing. Two blonde ladies were at the front and provided the tasting service to every person in line before us and told us we were too late. They did this despite us getting there over 40 minutes early and then allowing every person before us. They used the excuse they had to start cleaning up at some point, which apparently was our place in line not the 3 people ahead of us. One of the ladies had a lot of attitude and was very abrasive. This was the final stop in our trip and truly ruined a wonderful day. I would not recommend this place to anyone that was looking to enjoy their time in Ojai.

Shahry D.

Yelp
We traveled far to buy Olive Oil and were misled by phone recording and internet site that the business would be open. The business was closed. We are repeat customers. To add insult to injury an employee arrived and was rude, curt and insisted that we should have read the many signs upon the road entry that the business was closed. On our way out we carefully looked for signs which were not there. Another family was innocently walking the grounds and were asked to leave the premises in an unpleasant manner. This is no way to run a business which has so much competition in Olive Oil sales. Unfortunately on our next trip to Ojai we will not buy Olive Oil from this establishment.

Yelp
Highlight of our Day in Ojai: An olive oil tasting at Ojai Olive Oil, situated in the middle of an olive grove (and it was only $15 for 2 people). We had SO much fun sampling all the different types and paid the gift shop a visit afterwards. The staff was extremely wonderful with their recommendations. Sampling in an olive grove, surrounded by the sounds of nature, was so peaceful and grounding. Definitely a must for a trip to Ojai.

Yelp
Used to be better pre-pandemic. I think they have new owners as well. Product is still the same. High quality.

Yelp
We had a great time this weekend doing the Olive Oil Tasting. They have over 15 different types of olive oils and you are able to sample them all for just $10. You fill up your cups with the ones you want to select, they give you small bread squares to dip, and they even have a beautiful, shaded sitting area where you can sample the oils. They have a large parking lot right out front and it's in a quiet part of Ojai, which makes it really fun to drive to. The service was great and they did a great job explaining the different oils. We ended up buying our favorites which were Provençal, Lemon, Garlic, and Traditional Balsamic. I cook seafood often so the Lemon Olive Oil will go perfectly with that because it's packed with a delicious lemon flavor. Also the Provençal was our favorite of the four main varieties, although many tables around us seemed to prefer the Andalusian, which has a more peppery finish to it vs the fruity finish that Provençal has. Overall a truly great experience and a must do when visiting Ojai. We drove up from Los Angeles especially for this and were very happy that we did so.

Yelp
Our group was so excited to do a tasting upon arrival. The experience overall fell shorter than expectations. There were two women attending the register, one with bleach blonde longer hair (who was nice) and another with darker hair and glasses. I thought I was overreacting with her treatment of us until I read other reviews on yelp and Google. She was extremely rude and checked us in with an attitude. As we were pouring our tastings, she was walking behind us making snide remarks about our serving sizes. Mind you we were filling our cups about halfway, and there were people besides us (of her complexion) overfilling and spilling their servings. She didn't seem to mind their serving sizes. It definitely felt like she was targeting us based on our racial background. Would never go back, and will definitely tell people to keep away from this establishment because of it. Also, the benches were extremely dusty and covered in bird poop. And the bread felt like it had been sitting out in the air for two days. Our visit here was definitely the low point of our day.

Yelp
The farm is absolutely beautiful. Easy parking. The olive oil tasting is perfect to share since you can have as much oil and vinegarette as you can stomach. Favs: white vinegar + herb oil

Yelp
Omg this is the cutest activity to do in ojai! Olive oil tasting all for $15 all you can taste Olive oils and you get two loafs of bread included. Their Olive oils are so uniquely infused for example their peach, fig, Tuscan blend one. SO good. I even purchased one to take home with me. Only thing is the purchasing price for the olive oil is quite high.

Yelp
A fun place to try out olive oils and vinegars. It's a beautiful property, the staff was friendly and we had a great experience.

Yelp
The coolest experience ever! I came here with my boyfriend on our trip, the Olive Garden and tasting is so fun as a to-do trip in Ojai

Yelp
Amazing olive oils and vinegars!!! Pretty setting among the olive trees! Love all of the oils and vinegars!
google avatar

Yelp
Marcella welcomed us with an incredibly warm and personable aura. We thoroughly enjoyed experiencing her adoration for the orchards and product. She was so passionate in explaining all of the nuances between the oils and vinegars. We're grateful to cross paths which such a sweet human being and excited to come back for their tasting experience. Thank you for hosting us. The olive oils and vinegars come in a variety of unique flavors that you won't find anywhere else. Have you ever tried espresso balsamic vinegar?! You can find it here. Per Marcella, four of their olive oils are award winning and the olives themselves are of the utmost quality. Handpicked one by one, the rich flavors will impress the snobbiest taster! Come by on your trip to Ojai and prepare to be blown away~

Yelp
Went with some family that lives out of town. Such a fun experience. The olive oil and balsamic they had available for tasting were delicious. It was raining when we went, but a nice employee made sure to accommodate us as much as possible. The olive trees are beautiful. We will have to return when it is sunny and seating is easier.

Yelp
Several blogs and sites recommended this spot when visiting Ojai so I was excited to try it. Like in many of the negative Yelp reviews, I felt immediately uneasy as a minority. As I walked toward the tasting room, it wasn't immediately clear that the door was a sliding door, so I walked toward the side of the building which is close to another building on the property. An elderly woman harshly asked me "Can I help you?!" I said I was looking for the tasting room and she pointed to it and said "It's there, please go in there, not here." When we got there and said we wanted to do the tasting, the other clerk seemed nice but the other woman was brusque and told us not to overpour the samples into the tasting cups. After a family of white folks were rung up, my party was the only ones doing the tasting at the picnic tables. The same elderly woman said "You're not allowed to wander the property" as I walked out with the tasting board. The olive oil and balsamic vinegars were tasty and went well with the bread they gave us, but we hesitated on asking for more bread because we didn't want to deal with that woman's harsh vibe. Luckily we waited until she went to the other building and asked the other woman for some, and got one more roll. The experience was honestly tainted like some rancid olive oil by the one woman. I don't know if she was having a bad day or if she has something against minorities but I will not be patronizing this spot again.

Yelp
Such a cool experience! We loved the service and all the different types of olive oil! Wish I had more time to explore the area here.
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely loved my experience here. My husband and I purchased the olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting they offered. It was $10 for unlimited tastings. I paid $10 total for me and my husband. We really enjoyed their olive oil infusions and balsamic vinegars. We ended up buy two of each. Overall, I would come back here again. There was plenty off parking and the staff was nice.
google avatar

Steven S.

Yelp
Super beautiful spot! There's scenery, people are so nice, the docents walk around and tell you about the area and the olives and the oils/vinegars you taste. You can also bring your own food and have a picnic while you do the tasting. I believe it was $18 for the tasting tray and we all had a blast! Looking forward to our next visit
google avatar

Libby R.

Yelp
Heard about this place from a travel company as a suggested stop - so great! This place grows, produces, and bottles a variety of olive oils and offers tastings for a very reasonable price! The provide the oils, balsamic vinegars (from Italy), bag of bread pieces, and a menu so you know which is which. Then you take your samples outdoors and sit in one of the gorgeous areas to sample, sit, and enjoy. It was so interesting to taste all the different infusions and see what we liked and what we found strange. After our sample, we bought bottles for ourselves as well as a few for Christmas presents. We were also able to buy a few bowls made by artisans from local wood! So beautiful and a great addition! Definitely a spot to check out if you are going to, or driving through, Ojai!

Yelp
Didn't check hours and rude employee told us to shoo. Weird hours, don't know they close at 4

Yelp
I spent my birthday at Ojai Olive Oil and my boyfriend and I had the best time! Right now, they are offering unlimited tasting of olive oil and vinegar for $10. Bring your own bread and bring even more food and have a picnic under the most beautiful olive oil trees! Ron, who works there, was so nice and said next time we can bring our own food and have a picnic there. He was so nice and we had the most pleasant conversation. Mimi was also so nice and she offered me a free soap and bag for my birthday! It was so sweet of her. Mimi and Ron had such a warm and welcoming hospitality. The cherry on top of this whole experience was the friendly cats and the random deer that showed up at 1pm. The cat Batman fell asleep on my lap and was the most friendly, cute cat ever. I didn't want to leave her. To get there, follow the directions on their website. Google Maps also can take you there. The road is narrow only for like 10 seconds. It's really easy to get to. We had a fantastic experience. The olive oil was excellent. We bought one signature bottle and one white vinegar. Their vinegars are made in Modena. I will definitely be buying the olive oil online.
google avatar

Christine S.

Yelp
A must visit if you're in the area. For $10, you can sample as much olive oil and balsamic vinegar as you'd like. They provide bread, but we came prepared with our own. The espresso balsamic was awesome. Lovely picnic area with benches, hammocks, and a cat.
google avatar

Annette M.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous! Tricky drive, but worth it! The delicious olive oil and balsamic tasting with the pairing of bread bites. The location is stunning. Seating lovely- Worth the drive- Can't wait to go back!

Jacqueline L.

Yelp
If you are BIPOC, just be aware. At first, our group thought the two ladies working the front were having a bad day but it became evident after observing the way they interacted with all the other customers (white), that they treated our group differently. It's a food tasting we PAID for; yet we were made to feel uncomfortable with critical and snide comments. Furthermore, they told all the other customers that the tasting was unlimited yet when we went up to ask for more bread she took a long pause then said, "nope, it's limited." They then proceeded to kindly assist the other customers and tell them the exact opposite. Left feeling very uncomfortable and disheartened, especially because we were so looking forward to the tasting. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar were great, and another employee who seemed like one of the owners was very friendly and came up to talk to us about the history of the farm. All of that was quickly overshadowed and difficult to be enjoyed, though.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
First time doing an olive oil tasting, and it was so fun! I'm glad they provided some bread; otherwise, I'm not sure if I would take shots of the olive oil/balsamic vinegar. It's a small facility, but they had a lot of different olive oils/balsamic vinegars to taste! The tasting was $10 (total for both my boyfriend and me), and it was unlimited tastings (self serve). The different flavors were so unique! My favorite olive oils were the garlic and Tuscan herbs. I'm usually not a fan of balsamic vinegar, but the ones we tried were so good! The fruit ones made the balsamic vinegar sweet, so it was so yummy! I wish we got more bread so I could have feasted some more!
google avatar

Yelp
Really cute spot to visit in Ojai! Selection of vinegars and oils was huge and a great bang for your buck. Informative and friendly staff too.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a pretty farm, and the tasting room is cute and clean. Two gals running the store were so sweet. And the olive oils are amazing! Love that they're local and organic. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Sylvia Y.

Yelp
We visited before things started opening up due to COVID, so the Yelp tips were super helpful so we knew to bring our own bread. We didn't have to make appointments beforehand, just drove up. They weren't having tours but the nice lady in the tasting room gave us a plastic container full of samples and a sheet with descriptions. It was nice trying them at our own pace outside. My favorite was the garlic infused one.

Yelp
Ojai Olive Oil sits on a stunning location that feels like a hidden valley tucked into Ojai Valley. Highly recommend their olive oil tasting as it's such a fun way to spend part of the day, is very educational, and their range of Olive Oils & Balsamic Vinegars are truly exquisite!
google avatar

Justine K.

Yelp
What a beautiful place to visit and taste organically grown olive oil and vinegars. Friendly, knowledgeable staff on site get you set up with your tasting trays and bread. Tasting is only $10/person to try about 20 flavors of olive oil and vinegars. Bring a picnic to enjoy the outdoors a bit longer- plenty of picnic benches and tree swings. I left with a lemon extra virgin olive oil and face lotion. Will def come back!
google avatar

Tamie S.

Yelp
I would give Ojai olive oil more than five stars if I could. This is such a hidden gem in Ojai. And it's only an hour and a half from Los Angeles. They have over 20 olive oil's and vinegars to taste in their beautiful tasting room. You can easily spend a few hours just walking the beautiful grounds and among the olive trees. The only problem you will have is trying to decide which olive oils that you'll come home with. They are all so delicious!! Make a plan and visit!

Armond M.

Yelp
Ojai olive oil, truly is a hidden gem in Ojai Valley, only one hour and half away from LA. Best olive oil tasting experience I ever had. Stunning views, I felt I was in the Tuscany Italy. The service was exceptional. I can't wait to go back there again.
google avatar

Dustin M.

Yelp
Pressing occurs over ~15 days spread across November and December. Call ahead to find out when the next day is anticipated if you want to see processing in person. Otherwise only the tasting room is generally open along with a nice tasting area under the trees. Wheelchair access is limited to pulling your vehicle up right next to the tasting room and parking is nearby though not wheelchair friendly, as it is a gravel lot. Olives bloom for the new season in May, right after the pixie tangerines do in April.

Yelp
I am in love with their olive oil!!!!! I had the most amazing time tasting all the different types and flavors and had to get myself all of them so I could enjoy my own personal olive oil tasting at home!!!!! So buttery and yummy, everyone must try, I use on my live cooking shows now too

Suzanne S.

Yelp
What an absolute delight this experience was!!! My friend and I had the best time sampling the amazing, creative olive oils and vinegars! The $10 tasting pack is WELL worth the price! I suggest you be sure to bring along some water. But oh man, were my tastebuds SINGING after this adventure!!! I would have loved to walk out with a bottle of EVERYTHING I TRIED, but came away with the Herbed Tuscan Olive Oil, the Honey Ginger Balsamic Vinegar, and the Peach Balsamic Vinegar! Another visit is DEFINITELY in my future!! Can't wait to start cooking with these!! For those traveling with your fur-babies, they welcome well-behaved dogs. We met several delightful puppers while enjoying sitting under the shade of a grove of trees!! Make sure you put this experience at the top of your bucket list!!

Yelp
A clever set-up, a beautiful, family-friendly farm. Pour inside, enjoy outside with shaded picnic tables and hanging hammock-chairs. It's only $10 per tasting, and you make as many trips as you'd like, with no limit on how much you consume. They even encourage parties to share so you don't all have to pay. The basic oils all taste different, from a mild Provencale to fuller-bodied Tuscan, and a bold Andalucian. Their signature is made with a single variety, a smooth Columella. The infused ones are strong but all amazing as well. Eleven balsamics, each bottle with its own expressive taste. Be forewarned, you won't be able to leave without buying something once you've tried their stuff. They don't pressure you at all, but every oil is unique, every balsamic brilliant, and you won't want to leave without some!
