Our stay this past weekend was exceptional! The king room was cozy and the hot tub was a plus. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and everyone was so welcoming and sweet. The best part is the bar and cozy seating area to relax & chat with locals. We will definitely be back and make this our new little home away from . Thank you to Mina, Jack ( at the bar) and the whole staff for making us feel celebrated & cozy .

Very cute place, the jacuzzi could have used a bit of an upgrade to feel either vintage or modern. Did not enjoy the couple next door “making up” and then having a very loud argument, so I would say investing in acoustic insulation might be a solid upgrade so the sleepy guests can get their beauty rest in peace. We liked the fancy snacks and close proximity to downtown area.

We hosted our wedding here and it was beyond amazing! We rented out the entire property for a celebratory weekend and it was so worth it; location, views/scenery/ ambiance and vibe... just amazing! Kris, Jacqui and the team were wonderful and provided top-notch hospitality for every person in our group, even those not staying on property. They had great anticipatory service and remained ahead of our needs as the weekend progressed which left us all feeling so warm and well taken care of! I recommend Ojai Rancho Inn to all: those looking for an adventure, a romantic getaway, a solo escape, or those looking for an amazing home base for their Ojai vacation!

Cute kitschy motel rooms with hot tubs, super fun on-site bar and nice employees. Heated pool. Highly recommended for a getaway. Downtown area walking distance but not a short walk.

Positive: a working dry sauna! and the vibe Negative: The lighting was rough in the bathroom if you have bad eyes.

We had the most amazing time at Rancho. We were in town for a wedding at the hotel and everything was superb. The beds were comfy, the rooms were so clean and cute. The staff was so sweet to my 3 year old. I can’t wait to come back.

I'd always wanted to stay at this hotel and was excited to be put up for a work gig. I was disappointed by my experience. The fluorescent overhead light in my room turned on sometime after midnight, and continued turning on sporadically (which was creepy, frankly) even after I got out of bed to manually click OFF. I had to call and get moved to a different room because the light would not stay off. The deadbolt on the new room was broken. I was woken up again in the middle of the night by the sound of someone showering nearby -- the pipes were very loud. It was a quick stay, so I didn't get to enjoy the pool amenities, but unfortunately having such a disrupted night sleep did not make me want to pay out of pocket to stay here again. No one from the hotel followed up about the inconvenience of being forced to change rooms in the middle of the night -- service did not feel personalized at all. The Canyon Coffee at the lobby in the morning was the best part.

This little gem of a remotel has more amenities than expected and is well-appointed in the rooms. There is a large tanning and space for dogs separate from the gated pool and bar area. If you want a casual visit to Ojai with pups for an incredible value, this is the place.

This is our first time staying there, and I have to say it is really charming, unpretentious and very nicely maintained. The room products and interiors are very well appointed. We opted for the kitchen, which was really a cute little place for preparing snacks snack and breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, this place does not offer a breakfast, but the coffee is amazing!! Close to cafes and you can always walk 5mins to the westridge market where they have a huge breakfast buffet. The pool area is very relaxed and the bar is really cool. I love the updated hippie vibes, decor and art. The people and staff are very friendly by the way if you're bringing a dog, this is a great place because there is a large yard in the back and it's next-door to a walking path into downtown which is one of the big positives! We are definitely planning a return there soon with our dog.

Nice, quiet, wecoming, warm and clean little sleepover hotel! And they are dog friendly! Close to town. Offers a pool AND a bar. Rooms with private hot tubs even available! We had a terrific stay despite the fact our room was quite small. Highly recommend you check it out!

We stayed at the Ojai Rancho Inn for two nights. It was a beautiful location that was cozy and inviting. The room was almost perfect with a king size bed and jacuzzi hot tub. The amenities were great which included Chiefs Peak (the bar), the pool, and the huge outdoor lounge area to play games and relax. My boyfriend and I slept so comfortably in the room. The bathroom was small but functional the shower had the best water pressure I have probably ever felt as well. The staff were wonderful and so helpful when needed. I would definitely recommend staying here. We will be back to stay here again.

some of the new, younger early 20s, and very good looking and fit I might add, ( which can come with the smug attitude perhaps, ) yet are extremely unqualified, unprofessional, untrained, to be at the front desk of a trendyish hotel Or any hotel. Pool is nice, and very Very cold, but the saltwater is wonderful. Beds are pretty lumpy. Old mattresses. the rooms are kind of dark, and yet nicely decorated . Not a fan of 1980s jacuzzi in the room. If you come during the week, and Katia is on the front desk, you will have a much better experience. She cares and aims to please , is wonderful and pleasant, as this is a hospitality business. make sure you ask for a breakdown of charges on incidentals. Cause we were overcharged every single day ! and had to ask, repeatadly For a breakdown. No, one 7 dollar beer isn't $38. And the young , full of attitude , man that day, said, " don't bother me " and then " I don't know how to see what was charged.and I don't know how to fix it or use the computer " lol. Finally a so called manager came in, and said there were issues with their computer, ( I said " then how did these unknown daily , wrong, charges get tallied up , so then refund me for them if you don't know what they are " ) and magically she fixed it. However. She then And actually had the audacity to reprimanded us for Going after her " team". Wow. So it's not ok to give feedback here. And she flipped the script and blamed the persons not happy with this incident, not the unprofessional man with attitude, other friends of ours there, had similar experiences with him FYI. same guy, told some nice folks they could check out at noon. And then apparently day of, called them, and gave them an hr to check out. He changed his mind ? how inconsiderate Of this place. Def. Horrible HR department to say the least. Starts there. Bad training. FYI these mystery charges happened at my last visit last spring, and I didn't notice til I got home. So I let it go. But I think it's a bit unethical. The so called, " owner" who may actually runs the place, ok um she did the decor, hires the young, cute, smug, staff, (and the hotel capri, ) but she rents these ojai hotels, From the actual owner according to the la times Article. We shall see What happens. Def, Not gonna go back. Lots of other places in beautiful ojai. Next time gorgeous hotel Roblar. No one wants to be mistreated on a vacation. It was absurd to say the least.

Very adorable hotel. Loved the free bike rentals. Got to ride into town and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The hotel was calm and peaceful.

Room is decent. Customer service is abysmal. Hiring cold and unhelpful people in the hospitality business makes no sense at all. But this spot has accomplished that.

Obsessed with this place. We had the best weekend here. -Rooms are upscale rustic with comfy beds. Ours had a little kitchenette. We loved the smell of the shampoo and body wash too. -The little porches are perfect to hang out on. -Family and dog friendly atmosphere, there's a pool and a separate almost fully fenced in grassy area in the back. -Super friendly staff -We enjoyed the pool bar as well -Unique little artistic details all around the place

There are pros and cons to this inn. We got a relatively good rate here at a $225 ish a night during the week for my bday for a king room with a jacuzzi tub. The room was clean but very dark and the wood walls and roof make loud creaking noises all night which may be normal but I had no idea that this happens. It was very hard to sleep more than an hour without hearing a loud crack, also the wifi was pretty much non existent if that is important to you. The sauna by the pool was relaxing and private as was the grassy area with lounge areas behind the pool space. A lovely small trail is right behind the property which we enjoyed. If you want a quiet place this is not for you, but if you want to be close to the heart of Ojai and have a rustic room with a jacuzzi and can sleep through very loud noises you may just love it here.

This was our first time in ojai, we loved this place. They have beautiful backyard with little fire, swimming pool and 2 hammock, cute bar, sauna etc. if you wanna just chill in ojai this place is the best! One thing I would like to mention is the noise on the rooftop, at night you might hear crazy noises but that's nothing to be scared of most probably they will be raccoons banging your windows or playing on the roof. First night I didn't know what it was so I was scared but next day i found out about raccoons so I slept good! Highly recommend!

The Ojai Rancho Inn is a small motor lodge that looks like it was built in the 1950's. When you first arrive, it's not too impressive, visually. But the place grows on you - it's got that "Ojai funky" feel. If you go, get #19, which is the largest room. It's at the rear, and faces on a wide grassy garden area, and adjoins the pool and a small sauna on the other side. I did not see any rooms other than ours, which was furnished in knotty pine, with a synthetic wood floor (practical). The bed was plenty large (king or California king size) and a bit soft for my tastes, but very comfortable. The gas fireplace was a very nice amenity. Unfortunately, it stopped working at one point during the night. The bathroom was very large and everything was clean. We were not charged for an air mattress for our third person, which was nice. I was told when departing that I'd receive a discount for the fireplace not working. I didn't ask for the discount, wasn't expecting it, but the clerk offered that. The credit showed up on my credit card statement a day after the total billing amount. The rear of the property abuts a hiking trail, which is a benefit. The property is about a half-mile walk from downtown Ojai.

Stayed in a premium king suite and the bed was super uncomfortable. Caved in the middle. Time for the owners to invest in some new beds! When we walked into our room the heat was cranking and it felt like a furnace. Thermostat said 80 degrees so had to blast AC to get the temp down. These rooms have super old heating units that still put out heat even when turned off due to the pilot light. Pretty annoying. Also the woman who works nights on the weekends is standoffish and unhelpful. She gave off energy like "why are you bothering me with dumb questions." We expected more after paying $400 a night.

I had to cancel a few days before my stay and they were extremely nice about it and gave me a full refund even though they didn't technically have to (bc I booked thru Booking.com and that refund period was already over). I really appreciated how nice they were and I hope I get to stay there some time! The property looks beautiful and they clearly know hospitality.

Loved this place! It's a rustic-glam curated aesthetic dream. Rooms were clean, and cozy. Staff was friendly. There are cruiser bikes you can use as part of the amenities which is awesome bc there's a bike path that basically takes you all throughout Ojai. The pool is modest and adorable-a perfect way to spend late afternoon. My only suggestion is to try to request a room a little further off the road. We were in room one and the road was a little noisy but also not a huge deal. I would totally stay here again and recommend it to any friends making the trip.

Oh heyyyyy, Ojai! This place is a little piece of magic just a hop and a skip from LA. Stayed at the Rancho Inn for two nights with girlfriends and have designated my new easy getaway spot. Not a lot to say that hasn't already been said, but my highlights are as follows: + Killer gift shop in the lobby. They have a small but beautifully curated selection of things for gifting or treating yourself. + The bar. The bar! Tiny but awesome. I believe they just have beer and wine, but that's all we needed. You can get wine by the glass or get a full bottle to enjoy in your room. + Speaking of rooms, we got the one with the jacuzzi and while we didn't actually use ours, it made for a fun 70s ski lodge vibe. + Palo santo everything. They give you a stick to burn in your room when you arrive + the soaps and shampoos and all the things smell like it. Can't get more Ojai than that. + Free bikes to ride and a cool little path for riding them into town. The bikes themselves are nice Linus ones with baskets and good locks. My only wish is there were more, since they're reserved quickly! + Location, location, location. Ojai Rancho Inn is about a quarter mile walk from the super cute downtown area and the Topa Mountain Winery. I felt like we spent a pretty even amount of time between this hotel and exploring the town.

The perfect place for an Ojai getaway! A group of lady friends and I gathered here for a weekend stay, each sleeping two to a room. Checking in was a breeze, we were each shown our accommodations by the gal who runs reception. Speaking of, the front desk cabin had a wide array of bubble baths, essential oils, all natural toothbrushes, CBD products and "personal massagers" - what else would guests need? Each room has its own front patio with table and chairs (very old school motel). Inside has a tv, large bed, small but totally clean bathroom as well as a la carte assortment of snacks. My room also had a jacuzzi tub that sadly didn't get used. Complimentary palo santo sticks to cleanse the room too - which is great also for covering up bathroom goblin smells. The location of the Inn is perfect. A short walk or bike ride (which the hotel provides) into town for wine tasting, dinner or shopping. Very conveniently located near the Ojai trail for runners or horseback riding as well. The weather was nice enough to allow an hour of sunshine by the pool as well - probably the last time my pasty Colorado body will see the light of day for many months. I love the bar situated onsite that serves wine by the glass or bottle, along with beer, cocktails and kombucha (because... Ojai) from 4-10 pm. Not much happens in town after 10 but you can make your own fun in your room. Weekend rates run from $200+ and during the week it's anywhere from $125-$199 per room for a king bed and large tub. Not too bad, considering the location and amenities. I want to go back right now.

As others have observed, the inn has charm - and thin walls - consistent with its construction during the motor touring years. The beds and staff are also nice. On the other hand...if you want quiet sleeping, stay away. Rooms nearer the highway are beset with road noise. Rooms farther back are bombarded with noise from the bar until 10 pm. The thin walls also guarantee that noisy neighbors will be quite audible. All in all, I wish I had my money back.

Be aware folks that you will be charged prior to arriving. My credit card showed a charge 2 days before arriving which i ve never experienced before at any other lodging. Also i found a glitch when tryin to reserve the unit i wanted on their website. It did not alert me to the unavailability of the unit & ended up with a different room i wasnt expecting. Also the showers give a trickle of water enough to clean but NOT to relax. On the Plus side they do take pets and have a nice area in the back for them to explore.

We came for a very special wedding with about 70 guests. The entire hotel was rented out for the event and they did not disappoint. Never visited the rooms but certainly enjoyed the bar, with romantic drinks (and that woodsy Palo Santo scent that is everywhere), and the next day, the pretty fabulous pool, and the beautiful grounds. The buildings are otherwise rustic and simply ooze charm. This is a very small hotel, like a modern version of a roadside inn. Perfect for small/medium sized weddings. Yep, it's Ojai magic and we would definitely return!

Ojai Love After a few hectic but fun days at Disneyland, I was ready for some downtime. Cue Ojai, California, home to Jaimie Sommers: The Bionic Woman. As we made our journey to Ojai, we made detours at Karen Carpenter's house (her final resting place), the exterior filming location of Fantasy Island (Da plane! Da plane!), and the house from Poltergeist (Carol Anne!). In between locations we grabbed lunch at by Chole, and provisions at Whole Foods, in Silver Lake. Stocked with nibbly things and adult beverages, we finished the last leg of our journey with a drive up highway 33. It set the tone for the relaxation to come. It's a pretty stretch of road. The weather was much better then we had further south, sunny and 75°. Parking: We pulled into the parking lot and knew we were home! Charming and rustic. This is what I always thought Ojai would be. Office: The office smelled really good, essential oils lingered in the air. The lady behind the front desk was a sweetheart, (I forget her name, but she was blonde with retro glasses) and let us check in early. Sidebar: the morning coffee is served in the lobby. Check in: super easy. Rooms: We were traveling with a girlfriend, and met up with another friend, who was also staying at the ranch. Our posse rented out three different rooms. My husband and I choose the Garden Cabin which is located at the back of the property. It's connected by the pool and sauna. The cottage had It's own entrance to the pool area via the back door, located by the bathroom. We had a restful nights sleep amongst the quiet surroundings. The only downside I found was the room lighting. It was extremely dim, but lovely to look at. I wanted to purchase the folksy ceramic light fixtures that were attached to the walls in our room. There was easy access to the back gate at the edge of the property. The gate opens to a paved trail that goes into town (an easy 15 min walk). Eucalyptus trees adorned the trail. Ahhhhhhh, I love that smell! Our friend's rooms were smaller than our cabin, but equally adorable. I'd rent any of the rooms. I look forward to many more visits. Pool: it came equipped with plenty of comfortable chairs and lounges. Plush towels were provided courtesy of a basket near the sauna. The crowd was a mixture of young Instagramers, ready for their closeups, and older folks looking to relax in the sunshine. Well kept and clean. We lived at the pool during the daytime. Fire pit: After the sun went down on our first evening we wanted to make a fire. My friend asked the people at Chief's Peak (the tiny bar attached to the pool area) where to find wood, etc. The bartender's boyfriend helped us locate the wood and fuel, which was located in a shed beside the Garden Cottage out back. I built a fire, and soon our friends and some of the staff joined us in the celebration. I was a little leery about building a huge fire, since Ojai was still recovering from the Thomas fire, that ripped through the area a few months prior. One of the locals said it was safe because anything that was going to burn had already. Wine was drank, stories were told, laughter happened, and memories were made.

This corky inn was the getaway we were seeking. The rooms were uniquely themed with a clean rustic design. The bar on-site hosted a welcoming vibe. Drinks were delicious!

Rooms are well designed and the bed was plush but do not stay here if you value sleep. This motel is located right off a main road with TONS of traffic. My neighbors got wasted and watched a movie late into the night with loud beats and violence. Management is bitchy. Not going back.

This converted motel is next to a very busy road, very thin walls. Do not stay here if you value sleep. Rooms are overpriced and run down. We paid $275 on a Wednesday night for a premiere king suite - what we got was a room with no closet, one chair, spotty internet, and an incredibly noisy room. I spoke with the room desk clerk who could only offer a room even closer to the busy road. Never again.

My husband and I stayed here for a wedding that was being held nearby. The room was neat and clean with some charming decor. However, for the price we paid for two nights ($900) we would have expected a few other amenities to work well. Firstly, the drain in the shower did not work properly. I'm not a fan of standing in about two inches of water as I take my shower. Feels kind of yucky! Speaking of shower, the scent of the body wash and lotion was not our favorite. Secondly, the TV which was newer, was not able to connect to the wireless regardless of how many times we tried to do so. The office person explained that sometimes when everyone is trying to get online, "things run slow". Slow is quite an understatement! There's also a bit of road noise, but that didn't really bother us. On the plus side, we were able to walk to town and dinner and that was quite nice. The onsite bar/lounge looked nice, but we did not visit as we were busy with wedding things.

Omg this place was so cute definitely will come back. Great service small town and good food! Nice and peaceful for sure.

Came here a few weekends ago with a group of friends. Was generally having a good time. A group of nice young ladies were celebrating a birthday near us in the pool area. We overheard staff at the inn basically harassing them the entire time.... it was awkward. We overheard staff tell them they had to get rid of the little party decor they had... then a different staff member told them they each had to buy a drink to stay in the pool (one had just told us she was pregnant). The whole experience was unfortunate and in turn made our group feel uncomfortable. My buddy felt bad for them- he bought the bday girl a drink. Not sure we'll be coming back here.

Decent, clean and very close to downtown Ojai, which was of importance to us during the tennis tournament. We chose the King room (#3) with spa tub, which we never had a chance to use. The room was very small as was the bathroom. The showerhead was extremely forceful, so no water pressure issues there! No sink counter space. The shower was not well confined so water will spread to the bathroom floor. The room tends to be a bit dark. Lighting was funky but I think that's the vibe they were going for. Very rustic, cabin feel. Bed was comfortable, pillows were too hard. Never used the bar/lounge area as we were always at the tennis tournament. Easy access to all things downtown Ojai. Cute porch area in front of each room. Not crazy about the shampoo or body wash option. Had a fridge and micro but never used it. Coffee and tea in the morning can be found in the lobby area. Got charged an extra $10 for a rollaway as our daughter was with us. Didn't see that till we got home and reviewed the bill. Don't think that was really necessary. The room is made of wood which will make cracking sounds throughout the night, so don't freak out. Seems that's normal. It is definitely a funky, artsy type place with a cabin setting. Don't think it was worth $390 a night though. But it was the big tournament so I'm sure they raised their prices just for that.

This hotel has a lot of charm and was a great place that would let us bring our dog. However, we did have an issue with rats in the walls in Room 7. Started around 11:30 and lasted until 5AM - scratching noises all night along. The guy on the night shift was NOT helpful (you want ear plugs? otherwise, my shift is over). Called the number listed and they did the right thing and gave us our money back. If they can get the critter issue under control, it's a nice place in a cool town.

Another whimsical, wine-filled overnighter (x2) at Ojai Rancho Inn. I can't recommend a getaway here enough. It's not fancy shmancy, but you're in Ojai, so forget shaving for a couple days, and go with the flow. Definitely get the room with the hot tub in it. If you don't, then you're missing out on the real draw of this place. The pool, the bikes, the location, the bar on site all add to its charm, but again, the real reason to stay is the HOT TUB IN YOUR ROOM.

This cute little place doesn't look like much from the street but it has a ton of charm! Two girlfriends and I stayed there this past weekend and loved it! We found it very quiet and the staff was very friendly. Our room was the Garden Cottage in the back which was very private and also had a door with private entry to the pool and bar. Therese was extremely friendly and helpful and even helped us to split our bill properly and charge on three different cards (having to do math around 10pm isn't easy but she called us when we were out at the Air Supply concert and said she'd be able to help us that night). We also spent some time hanging out in the poolside bar. The bartender Christian was not only eye candy but was a very kind Southern gentleman who made some refreshing Soju cocktails for us. They have a couple of mixed drinks and serve beer and wine. The bar was hopping and had a very friendly and fun vibe. The complimentary coffee in the morning was good and I loved the lobby area which had some really fun local art and other cute things for sale. Finally, the location could not have been better. We spent time at the Ojai Valley Inn Spa and restaurant and could walk up there if we wanted to. It is also within a short walking distance to downtown Ojai. We enjoyed our girls' getaway. :-)

We went here for a family get together. It was great. Room was clean and place was quiet. Salt water pool was nice for the kids. We loved the free bikes and the bike path behind was so convenient to get to town or walking to Topa Winery. It is an older property but only noticeable in the bathroom and hot tub. The air conditioning could use some work as it only cools one section of the room. All else was great. We loved the relaxing vibes of the place and that it was dog friendly. We will definitely go back.

Stayed November 2021 for the week of Thanksgiving. Staff was friendly, rooms are very comfortable and clean. The overall vibe is awesome and welcoming. The back area with corn hole, picnic tables, swings etc was a chill place to hang in the evenings. Coffee in the lobby every morning was a great amenity! Loved walking to the lobby to get coffee then sitting outside my room reading or scrolling on my phone. I can't wait to come stay again!

Ojai Rancho Inn is the place to be in Ojai. We have stayed here many times and it is our go to spot. Centrally located in Ojai. Close to everything, bikes available for free on first come, first serve basis and right next to a nice bike path. We bikes around town the the nearby shops, coffee houses, and park. Well decorated rooms. Cute Southwestern/Ojai vibes. Some rooms have a full kitchen, which was great with our last stay. The shampoo/conditioner/ body wash smells amazing with Ojai vibes so don't bother bringing your own. Snacks available for purchase in room. The outdoor area is phenomenal. Lawn games, pool, sauna, and bar is perfect for a laid back evening. Staff are very kind and make you feel at home. Reasonably priced. Fell in love with this place. Book ahead as weekends can sell out!

Olde time stylin's with a modern mattress. I was worried about the last part given the rustic presentation. This place exudes personality. From the log bed frame, to bathroom door with no door handle, it all just adds up to funky. You have to go at least once to the Chiefs Peak wine bar on site. Get you wine in a plastic glass and hang out outside around the pool. Glass glasses are used inside the tiny bar. Its Ojai, the bartender knows wine, and they have a funky selection. An unforgettable place to stay in Ojai.

Me and my boyfriend came here for Valentine's Day. We are lucky to have stayed here. We got the room with a Jacuzzi in it (room 16), I'm glad we did. Valentine's day was cold and rainy but the pool was at perfect temperature and the sauna was toasty. They have free bike rentals for their guests. At the back of the hotel lawn lounge area there is a bike trail that leads to a winery literally less than five minutes away. I definitely would recommend and stay here again.

Best experience ever! We enjoyed one night in one of their cosy and wood smelling rooms. Their decor is very tasteful and comes from local artists. The staff is extraordinary sweet! They told us the best places and did everything to make sure we had the best of times. Complementary bikes rentals and coffee in the morning were the cherry on the top. See you soon!

Wonderful little get away! My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ojai Rancho Inn for our 1 year anniversary. We arrived in the afternoon and were greeted by a nice girl at the front desk. She told us about the Inn and the area, checked us in and gave us a piece of incense to burn in our room and clean the space. The Inn is very cute, the red paint and the cute little porch lights are lovely. Walking into our room, we found it to be very comfy. There was a king sized bed with a wooden frame, beautiful shades and lamps and it was VERY clean. There is a little porch with two chairs outside and a microwave. At night we turned on the heater that worked very fast and well. There are free bikes that can be rented and every morning there is tea and coffee on the porch of the office. In the back there is a pool, sauna, fireplace, wooden swings and lawn chairs. All in all I can only recommend staying here, it is beautiful, comfy and very close to downtown Ojai.

Stayed here on a girls' trip and we all absolutely adored it. Even though it was raining during our stay, we were still able to enjoy sitting by the pool and hanging in the Chief's Peak bar. Our bartender Jen (please tell me that I'm remembering that right) was so sweet and easy to talk to, made us delicious spritzy drinks, put up with our loud chatter, gave us some good suggestions. I'm not sure this is the type of place that has promotions given how small it is, but whatever is next up, please promote her. Our room was super cozy, loved the decor and the small touches of unique pottery and wall hangings. The set up with the front porches is genius and gives you a chance to meet and chitchat with your neighbors if that's your thing. The front desk people were super nice and helpful as well and did not seem irritated with my constant snatching up free matches and clementine oranges. I loved this place and was sad to go. I will definitely be back when it warms up for pool season.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the Ojai Rancho Inn. The decor is hip and current (lots of succulents, batik, raw wood, and Pendleton prints), and the free bikes were a plus. We loved biking down the paths behind the hotel. We had the room with a jacuzzi, which was awesome, and the beds were really comfortable and clean. The Chief's peak was an adorable little bar, and the office store had some cute things for sale. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the POOL AREA. Hello, you have this adorable area with a teepee, swingseat, and shady grass, surrounding a FILLED pool, and you won't let anyone IN IT?? I get that the pool itself is closed for some sort of zoning reason, but let people go hang out around it at least, what a waste of space! We just peeked in through the gate at that Shangri-la and vowed to come back when we could go in it. Give your guests some sort of pool-less discount, Ojai Rancho Inn, because that's a little bit ridiculous!

We stayed here recently when we came to visit family in Ojai. We stayed in room 18. The owners did a great job of blending the retro motor lodge vibe with Ojai charm. The rooms are kinda dark, but the decor is great and the bath tubs are fabulous. We also really like the pool and Chief's Peak (try the Ojai spritzer)! They also use a cool app to do a COVID friendly check-in, which I really appreciated.

Wow recently went here to celebrate my Four year anniversary. The room was amazing came with a jacuzzi king bed and flat screen tv equipped with showtime on demand and many more great time warner channels. It was a busy weekend so we didn't get to use many of the common areas. A lot of inconsiderate people letting their dogs poop kids run wild and taking the complimentary bikes the whole time (white people being douchey is not surprising) but even that couldn't stop us from giving this place 5 stars. Angie was a sweetheart and an incredible help. The town was amazing, and our room was so cozy and beautiful nothing else mattered. I have to recommend this place to anyone trying to get a romantic weekend with their spouse. 5 stars!

I'm giving the Inn 5 stars because of the staff. They are dog friendly and it is a relaxed atmosphere. I've been in about 5 different rooms and each was different so it may be good to get to know the rooms.....they all have cement/wood floors with rugs and clean bedding/towels! It is nice to have the pool and same bar there! You can walk on the Ojai trail to downtown for anything you need...or ride one of their bikes.. Thanks to the staff for making my stay there so nice!!

I recently came to the Ojai Rancho Inn to celebrate my anniversary by the pool. We called and arranged the pool day on Tuesday. On Thursday, I called back and spoke with Antonio, just to double-confirm the details of my visit. On Saturday, after driving for +2 hours, the front desk lady explained that the pool had been booked for that day nearly a year ago. We explained how we had driven from LA just to spend a day at that pool and she agreed to led us stay for an hour. She walked us to the pool and opened the gate for us. After 30 minutes at the pool, an employee named Kelly came to my partner and I and asked why we were there. We explained that we confirmed our attendance with the front desk lady (Catia) and the manager (Antonio) and she said "Antonio doesn't know what your talking about." She physically removed the umbrella we were sitting under, moved it to where no one was sitting and told us we needed to leave. We were the only gay couple at the pool, sitting on separate beds, minding our own business. Given her brash tone and actions I got the general sense that the presence of a gay, male couple wasn't welcome there, period. It was rather embarrassing and degrading to say the least to have our umbrella physically moved and being told to leave in front of other guests after we had explicit permission to be there. I've decided to take my experience to my contact at HuffPost Queer voices. Members of my community deserve to know which establishments they are and are not welcome at.

Such an amazing retreat! It's barely 1.5 hours away from LA but you feel like you're in another world. The property is rustic with a hipster vibe and only has 10 units or so, which means more privacy but harder parking. They have their own bikes that you can check out during your stay, along with a pool, a horse, a teepee and a bar (Chief's Peak). It's also super close to downtown so you can walk or bike. Since everything is wood, there's a lot of echoing and the room itself settles quite often. I could also hear a lot of stuff going on with the pipes and heater. I'm the type of person who believes in "no pain, no gain" so I bit my tongue over the lack of sleep because everything was so friggin' cute. All in all it was a great visit and I would come again. *The pool was closed for renovation when I went (early January).

Epitome of hipster, both by decor as well as people. The bedroom is comfortable, though our tv didn't work and the bathroom is a bit small. Try out the jacuzzi in the room, it's actually fun The free bike rentals are not great because there aren't a lot of them and sometimes other guests do not return the keys or have already rented them out so don't bank on getting a bike. Also not sure I'd stay here again cause the price is so steep. And parking is kinda hard at night when folks come to chief's peak.

Loved this boutique hotel, the chiefs bar was a highlight. It was such a cozy spot, great bed and nice and warm with friendly staff. Can't wait to go back.

What a cute little treat for a night in Ojai! Gorgeous property, charming rooms, loved the complimentary Palo Santo stick to burn and get that Ojai mojo flowing. Soaked our feet in the jacuzzi tub. Drank wine on a swing in the backyard and watched the Pink Moment. Comfy enough bed, although quite high up off the ground. I'm tall and had to kind of jump up on it, which wasn't fun for my friend who shared a bed with me, because I have to get up and pee every few hours You can also hear your neighbors like they're in your room with you. Go for a room toward the back of the property to cut down on the road noise. Great morning coffee. Overall, definitely recommend.
