I'm so upset to hear that this place is closing down! I've been wanting to write a review for a while so I guess now is the time. First of all I want to give a shout out to the wonderful staff I've had the pleasure of getting to know since I started coming here when I moved to Wheeling last May. I wish you all luck in your next chapters. This place had so much potential but management and owners dropped the ball big time. First of all when the bakery was open it was so disjointed from the dispensary. I couldn't imagine how someone that didn't go for the dispensary would randomly stroll into that bakery. It was a confusing setup. This place was never busy like it should've been. Like the potential it had. There was never any flow when you walked into this business like other dispensaries. The workers were not always stationed in certain areas. It always feels like a free for all. Like everyone does everything. Lacking a flow and professionalism. The inner workings of the business seems always off too. One day it's cash only. One day the card machine works. Next day there's a complete new system. Next day system is down, cash only. It was never consistent. Not to mention the product inconsistency. You would find something you liked and then you would never see it on the menu again. Seems like they just got the cheapest deals. It seemed like management never had a handle on things and never had standards in place for the employees to adhere to therefore creating a clear and pleasant experience for new and returning guests alike. Sorry it came to this but hopefully it can turn into something better for everyone. I wish you all the best. I will miss enjoying the lounge and seeing the lovely staff throughout the week. This was my home dispensary so it will leave a void in Wheeling for sure. Will go a little further now to Curaleaf, Rise Niles, and have to go to Mundelein for their lounge experience which is more upscale and a cohesive experience. 🫶

Had a load of fun here! The lounge is comfortable and the equipment was clean. The food and drink are delicious too! Pictured below is the Cosmos cocktail being served! The bakery has a really nice selection, and the staff were SUPER friendly! It was definitely worth the drive. Thanks for making my birthday celebration special!!!

Great pricing compared to regular dispensaries. Amazing lounge where you can borrow needed supplies to have a great time. Definitely worth checking out!

Great experience. I was fortunate to meet new growers from South Chicago Heights and the family at Ground Game: bringing new skus to customers. Really great chocolate. The private event and hosts were great. The ownership was in attendance and wish them continued success.

They have a good bakery. Not a lot of selection and their processes is different than other similar shops. They have a lounge that you can use if and when you buy something from them... it's a great place come check it out.

Went last night to celebrate my bday with a group of friends. A highly unsatisfying experience since changing ownership. First, the communications infrastructure seems broken between the space and their third-party reservation services. After receiving day-of confirmations for our reservation from the third party, the staff was baffled when we arrived. The entire Wheeling building was rented, which was not communicated when upon booking (weeks beforehand). They gave odd and unprofessional reasons for the reservation being lost. After this, they encouraged us to shop in the Dispensary and said we *could* be seated after purchasing. The sales rep inside the Dispensary was smug, bored, pushy for the sale. We were then told that our table would be ready shortly... only to be left unattended for 45 minutes. It felt like a neglectful effort to expedite our departure. After sitting for this duration, a supervisor finally appeared. They said that we couldn't be hosted after all, made an odd excuse about a call center, and sent us on our way with some free samples. One of the most appalling hospitality experiences (or, lack thereof) I have experienced. I have never felt more unwelcome somewhere, and we will not be returning. The entire operation felt very dishonest and unpleasant. Incredibly unaligned with the brand name.

Facility was nice and cute inside. Scheduled a reservation over 24 hours in advance for the lounge, even put for occasion “Birthday” for my brother. We show up 15 minutes before our reservation, welcomed by the front desk asking if we were there for the dispensary. Explained our planned reservation and visit, to get told they had a Private Party that had reserved the Lounge. Blaming marketing and complaining about how the Private Party is being rude and annoying to them as the staff. Horrible experience to drive an hour with no heads up or call. Does the staff even check the online scheduling? Very dissatisfied with the service at this location. Will not be rescheduling due to poor communication and clearly unprofessional staff blaming others and complaining about their current customers to new customers….

Yelp
Met some friends here for Bingo night. This is a dispensary with an attached lounge where people do partake. They also serve non-alcoholic drinks and some food. Beyond the lounge is a bar and a bakery. I must admit, the Bingo was a lot of fun. There was a very wide variety of people there, so it was very interesting. Also, they had two vendors who talked about what they offer and had some little giveaways. They also have trivia nights. We'll try one of those next. This is a definite for everyone to try at least one time.

Yelp
Love that Cannabis Lounges are opening up around Chicago! Okay Cannabis has a very chill vibe. Not only is it a dispensary lounge but it's also a bakery having an offshoot of West Town Bakery (from the city) goods. Also, it's right in the parking lot of the Westin so great for out-of-town hotel guests like myself to get a little puffpuff. Make a reservation if you can! We didn't have one and thankfully & luckily, got seated because it was pretty early. But during our time there, it got very full and they were only seating those with ressies. So, plan ahead stoners! Staff was so friendly, very helpful and fun. Prices aren't terrible and they do include the gear you need. Back in LA, you pay extra to rent equipment so this as a nice little perk. Atmosphere is chill with a variety of comfy seating to sit around with your friends. Great for Cali sober dates, too :P It's a vibe all the time~ Okay is Okay!

Yelp
Interesting new concept, a dispensary and a cafe that allows marijuana consumption. The baked good do not have any cannabis in them, but they are pretty convenient for the impending munchies. Clean, bright, good service all the way around, plenty of parking, it's a comfortable place. In spite of the parking lot, I do think the best way to enjoy this place would be to walk from one of the nearby hotels, take an Uber or Lyft, and at any rate, don't drive. You should note there are no nearby White Castles.

Yelp
Made a reservation for 6pm tonight. Got a confirmation text today. Drove an hour to get there and when we arrived they said they were under new management and did not get our reservation that we booked online. They said they needed to get our table ready and made us sit and wait 45min before saying we had to leave and they could not accommodate us. Never going back

Yelp
This place is such a great asset to the area!! We came in on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 8-9 people (my non cannabis consuming 62 year old mother included) and Alyssa (sorry if u spelled your name wrong!!), was so patient and helpful as we all asked 500 million questions. The baked goods are non-infused and they also offer a 5-6 gluten free options as well. I went home with a dozen cake balls ($34, not gluten free) and the flavor combos are SO FUN: Andes mint, Reese's pieces, m&m, carrot cake, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and I'm not sure what the last combo is (peanut something). The restaurant has a small amount of small bites and sandwiches to order from. Lacking in vegetarian options (bummer. Know your audience and area!!). There are also mocktails and a munchies menu you can order from. You can upgrade the mocktails with a shot of flora delta 8 for $4 (or just purchase a bottle for $40, and make your own at home!!). The food and drink presentation is on point, and the patio is a great spot to hangout on. I didn't make it to the consumption lounge today, but I did pop by the dispensary to check out the products. I feel like this spot has the biggest variety for the area, and I loved the ease and flow of ordering to pickup. I'll definitely be making a reservation for the lounge soon (just note that you must purchase something to smoke to enjoy the lounge, no edibles due to the length of time it takes for them to kick in and leave your body). Cash or debit only, IYKYK Very cool spot. Amazing staff. 10/10.

Yelp
The food is good for me the chocolate chip cookie wins for me every time. Croissant Meh. I mean it's good but they burned it. Coffee ok. But the prices are ridiculously high all around. It's crazy the Starbucks next door is actually cheaper

Yelp
This place was awesome! Love the decor - such a fun, upbeat ambiance and hangout place. I was staying at the Westin for business (however I'm originally from the area, used to live like 5 mins away) and was excited to see this new dispensary that opened right next door. I stopped in and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Seems they have it broken out into a little cafe-type section, the dispensary section and several different seating/hangout areas! They have a nice selection available and were running a few specials. the guy who helped me was great, and gave me some suggestions when the item i went in for was sold out. Overall i was really impressed with this place and definitely recommend! I'll be back when i'm in the area

Yelp
I didn't try any of the cannabis but I did try the bakery side. This is a nice spot to enjoy a delicious array of baked goods from cake balls to croissants to danishes to donuts in a spacious setting with plenty of parking. In addition to a large dining area, they also have a lounge as well which is decorated nicely and filled with comfortable furniture and an assortment of board games. The baked goods I tried here were all delicious and filled with plenty of high quality ingredients (you pay a bit more, but in a chocolate danish you'll have plenty of chocolate chunks inside). They tasted quite fresh and had good textures to match, like the yeast donut was pretty fluffy and the muffin had a good level of chewiness. The flavors were pretty distinct and I didn't find anything too sweet. The drinks were also pretty good as well, where the coffee was pretty smooth and not really bitter, and the hot chocolate had a nice strong flavor of chocolate that went well with the whipped cream on top. I didn't try any of the sandwiches or other kitchen items on this trip but they looked to be prepared nicely and with a good sized portion. Overall, a nice place to enjoy a casual baked good and cafe drink in the Wheeling area. The prices are similar to what you'd find at Starbucks and the quality of the food reflects this as well. Service is friendly and prompt.

Yelp
Review for BAKERY side When you enter, the security guard and host help guide you to where you want to go. The baked goods are beautifully displayed and there are plenty to choose from. The rest of the group I was with couldn't resist trying a blueberry muffin, trail mix scone and cake balls. [For inquiring minds- none of the baked goods contain THC nor is use of bought dispensary goods on the premises.] I focused on the coffee beverages for my mid afternoon pick me up. I landed on a dirty chai latte and it was a decent beverage [though the chai component was from a premade concentrate]. As I looked around, I noticed there were many liquor bottles which led me to the printed alcoholic beverages/snacks menu that doubled as the happy hour flyer. Needless to say, the offers look great and I hope to return soon to try them out.

Yelp
I think this place is pretty neat with regard to its organization and its offerings. The pastry/confections area is a nice addition to your breakfast/snack options in the immediate vicinity, which, if you're staying at the nearby Westin, are severely limited beyond the Westin itself. The cannabis section has a well-run admission setup, and it's spacious and pristine inside, including a lounge area you can reserve. The one thing that put me off was that the products evidently available from the displays did not match well the products listed as available at the kiosks. That typically means more time working with someone at the counter, and the number of available staff was limited. But I was also there at a quieter time, and maybe there's more help available during busier times.

Yelp
Don't be intimidated. The coffee shop/restaurant is totally separate from the cannabis stuff (and kid friendly). Great add to the neighborhood!!!

Yelp
My husband and I went to Okay Cannabis on a Sunday morning with a Meet-up group. When we arrived, there were many people coming in and out of the store. There were about 40 people there. We started in the bakery area where we ordered a hot chocolate, a drip coffee, chocolate chocolate chip muffin, dark matter donut, and chocolate raspberry croissant The hot chocolate was very rich and creamy. The croissant was rich in both chocolate and raspberry flavor. One taste did not take a backseat to the other. The donut was moist and had a coffee flavor to it. The muffin was moist, flavorful, and had a lot of chocolate chips in it. After we got our food, we were greeted by the owner, who explained a bit about the business. We learned about the dispensary, the rules that they have to follow, and what they offer. Then, the owner took us into the lounge. This is where you can enjoy their products on site. It is a very nice, bright area with many windows. There are comfortable seats and tables and games that you can play. Whether you are looking for food, drinks, or other indulgences, I highly recommend Okay Cannabis!

Yelp
This place is super cool. I'm sure it'll take a general learning curve from folks and the whole recreational marijuana thing. Ankit is a super cool guy and always genuinely helpful and friendly. Overall idea: 3 "Different" Things 1. Open Area: Coffee Bar, Bar Bar, Bakery and Food - Sweets are legit. Coffee is really good (Dark Matter stuff). They have breakfast and lunch sandwiches available also. Cake balls were great. 2. Dispensary: If you've been inside any area dispensary, you know what you're going to get here. Check online for day of the week discounts. They do have some of the early craft growers. IC Collective being the first off the craft line, and this is the first local disp carrying that. 3. Cannabis Lounge: Wow. Just haven't experienced this concept before. Watching a WWE PPV (and apparently Bears, Cubs, etc) and just hanging indoors. Fascinating. They've got a crazy HVAC system that is designed to pull clean air in while pulling the smoky air out. All types of smoking/vaping devices to use at your discretion. They will show you how to do stuff and set stuff up for you also. Food available to order. Just no alcohol while partaking in the dispensary side. Good luck, Godspeed. Stay safe out there.

Christine J.

Yelp
this is a cool spot for any cannabis friendly person. Personally I think the lounge area could of been slightly cozier and larger but overall it was clean and organized. They offer any kind of smoking device/deliveries if you ask for it. They also have a few board games available and tvs that will play sports. You are able to purchase their foods and eat it within the lounge as well!

Nikki W.

Yelp
The staff is all amazing! Very friendly n helpful. The problem is the products, or lack of. Extremely outdated bud, that they do carry. Never a variety, for sativa, only 1 strain,, most I've seen is 3. Once. Mayb they only want bar n bakery people? Not sure how it's labeled a dispensary.

Yelp
If I could give no stars, I would. And that's to be said and I didn't even get to actually experience this place. Earlier in the week I made a reservation from their site, for 2/24 at 2:30pm. They called me TWO hours before my reservation time to tell me there was a "glitch" in the system and they're actually booked for a private event. If that was the case then why was I not notified any time earlier than day of?' And two hours before my scheduled time?! Then they say there may be an opening at like 6 or 7pm. So I called them back 5 minutes later on the same number they called me on, and I left a messaged confirming everything they said and asked that they call me back to verify if I can be there at 6 or 7. Never called me back. It's now 11:06pm and I still have not heard from them. Then on top of that, I've been trying to call all week to ask some questions since this was for a friends birthday and either the phone would just ring and ring or I would get a random voicemail, which I left a few messages. Never got a call back. Was incredibly excited to try this place and have a great experience for my friends birthday but now I'm incredibly disappointed and may never try again.

Yelp
This place is pretty awesome and I'm surprised it's not more people I guess they just opened up it is a bakery you can get good beer and of course the main motivation and product to bring people here is pot. I don't do that however very good brands of beer and I forgot what the very good coffee they have perhaps Intelligentsia coffee much better than Starbucks you can pretty much do the big three here drink have coffee and smoke pot

Olivia L.

Yelp
Surprised this place isn't more busy! Such a great location with a huge parking lot. The dispensary itself is so aesthetic and the employees are so friendly and helpful! I love the displays in the dispensary as well. The cafe part is also pretty sweet with a lunch menu and a bunch of bakery items. We got the soup of the day (broccoli cheddar) and the eckhart park sandwich and the egg in it was HUGE like 3-4 eggs. The menu also says happy hour and I didn't notice the cocktails so I will definitely be back!

Matthew P.

Yelp
The West Town location is by far the worst dispensary in the city. The price of everything is literally double the price of any other place in town. The menu is tiny, the staff seems like they don't like working there and it's always empty. By far the lamest dispensary in Chicago. They don't even try to hide the fact that they are ripping people off. There are multiple dispensaries around the corner from this location and they are all doing well...it's amazing how a business can do well when you're not a snake and screwing over the community!!!!
