Food explorers want to get the Oki's Dog sticker on their lunch box! Those who want a unique LA experience will not be disappointed! I'm not saying it's the only place in the world to get hot dog with pastrami, cheese, and chili wrapped in a tortilla. I'm saying this joint delivers an authentic representation LA style in a real life setting by a real family of hardworking people. Delicious. Clean. Friendly. I am so glad my friend who's been eating Oki's Dogs for over 50 years brought me!

Aside from the less-than-ideal neighborhood for dining, everything was truly wonderful! I indulged in two delicious hot dogs piled high with cheese, pastrami (absolutely delicious!), onions, mustard, and chili, accompanied by some crispy French fries. All that goodness was just $21, including all the sauces and chili. The bun’s texture, along with those amazing toppings, created a delightfully soft and gooey experience. Yum! I can’t wait to go back!

Yes, this is the spot to get a decent meal for a decent price. The burger is pretty loaded. I didn’t feel hungry after leaving nor did I feel that I was skimped on the food, which is rare in LA.

Been coming here for more than 30 years. The location has moved a few blocks from where it once was, but one of the original owners of the 3 cousins is still there. The food is the same quality, too. The prices are very reasonable, not what I once use to pay tho lol ( an oki dog, large fries and orange bang for $5) oki dog specialty is 2 hot dogs, Pastrami, chili and cheese wrapped in a giant tortilla. Their fries are made from fresh potatoes. These fries are on my top 10 fries I've ever had ( ask for extra seasoning)

Great local spot with super friendly staff and reasonably priced food. There is a small parking lot next to the restaurant as well as street parking which is a plus. Also both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a no frills stand - very clean and good service. We went for the Oki-dog without really knowing what it was. I was unprepared for the double hotdog, chili, cheese and pastrami combo all wrapped up in a flour tortilla … but somehow it all worked. Having this hotdog feels like a rite of passage in LA, and we came out the other side very full and very willing to come again.

this is the spot man. Went when I was a kid and popped in today after 15 years. It hit!! the place was clean, service was good and the owner and I ate next to eachother and spoke. This spot is just one of those ones. Food is great and hits the spot, don't come here looking for gourmet. It's comfort food. egg bacon sandwich for 6$ !! Bomb.

My favorite chili cheese fries in the area. Everything I've tried there has always been good. Their pastrami burger was tasty. If you're looking to pick up a quick bite and you're not on a diet, check this place out. It's right across the street from Lowes.

I was a bit disappointed in my pastrami sandwich on my last visit. The pastrami was very dry, as if no oil was used to fry it. The onions weren't grilled quite long enough, and the portion size was much less than before. I think this is a family business, and maybe the youngsters took over when the seasoned staff retired but whatever the case, the sandwiches were definitely different. We used to go when they were on Pico, when the pastrami portion was bountiful, and the meat was cooked with (probably unhealthy) oil on the grill but it sure was good! The two staff working were nice enough. The cashier even let my husband have a sample of Orange Bang. I don't know if we would go again. If we do we might give all kinds of instructions next time lol. I sure miss the old way.

What I Ordered: -Pastrami Burrito $18.00 -Oki Dog $7.00 Oki's Dog has been on my must-try list for a while now, and I finally made it! I arrived with a hungry stomach and cash in hand, which is essential since this no-frills spot is cash-only. I've wanted to try the Oki Dog ever since I saw Anthony Bourdain visit their old location. The Oki Dog, with its two hot dogs, chili, cheese, and pastrami inside a burrito, exceeded all my expectations. It's quintessential LA! I knew the Oki Dog wouldn't be enough, so I needed something else. I was initially going to order the Chili Cheese Fries, but then I asked the staff for recommendations, and they were very helpful. I ended up with the Pastrami Burrito, which, like many places in LA, offers a unique take on the classic pastrami sandwich. The Pastrami Burrito was unlike anything I've had before. While the tortilla itself was unremarkable, the burrito was generously filled with pastrami, cabbage, peppers, pickles, and mustard. It was an explosion of flavors! I will definitely be back for another Oki Dog! I'm also looking forward to trying their teriyaki chicken plate and fries. Oki's Dog is a must-visit, no-frills spot in LA!

Had the pastrami after not going to Oki in awhile! It was hit and the meat was fresh and not overcooked. They forgot the chili peppers and they only take cash. Got mines to go but there is seating area. Parking is tough though. Better chances on street. Will go back next time I have a hankering for pastrami sandwich.

This spot and stop was so nostalgic. Long story short. .... Driving by and decided to make this stop with my son. Mainly because of the memories it brought to me. And secondly because I always tell him about the famous spot down the St from my High School. Yes I attend LA High, Hi Everyone. Lol For food we did the chicken teriyaki plate so why not have him try one of the best to do it. I ordered the chilies cheese fries if its one Oki was known for back in the day was the chilies cheese fries. My mouth is watering as I write this Lol Service at the counter just like back in the day, Cash Only. Easy! Parking in the back enough and some street parking in case there isn't a spot on the lot. There's a small outside seating patio in case you don't like the inside. The ambience is chill everyone comes here already knowing what they want to eat. Easy breezy! Thank you Oki for all the memories, Wishing an abundance of success for many more kids to walk down from LA High to grab some fries to eat out the bag. IYKYK!

Come with an attitude they'll treat you better if you do. If you come happy with positive energy they won't even greet you even if you're the only person present. They seem to bow down to a certain demographic that's not their own, possible self hate. Food was overrated extra salty and small portion.

I use to go to the other one down the street on pico for years, and I am still a big fan. They have great customer service which is a big deal to me, tbh all I ever get is the okidog straight and very good prices

Food was good. I didn't show up with a big appetite so I shared a cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. Came out to a total of $15. Both were tasty. Definitely enough food for one person. Only thing I wish is for the patty to be bigger and for them to add more fries to the chili cheese fries. Service was quick and smooth. Cash only.

Cash only. Opened in 1979 there are a few locations around LA and all take just cash. This location has a very small parking lot, enough room for about five cars. Otherwise it will be street parking. Service was pretty fast for us tonight and the staff was very polite. I had to try the original Oki Dog with cheese, which is basically two hotdogs with chili cheese in a tortilla and tastes just as you would expect. We also tried the teriyaki steak sandwich, which was good although I wished they would have grilled the onions. Also the chili cheese fries were very good, we especially liked the seasoning on the fries. Overall I would recommend as a good takeout option even though I wish they would start accepting card. I plan to be back in the future although it's not the sort of place I plan to eat, just for time reasons some days it is perfect.

It seemed like once they moved to this location the food value has gone downhill. I remember when their food was good for less the price. Now the food is mediocre and double the price. Took my children here instead of McDonald's thinking that it would have been a better choice. Long story short we should've just went to McDonald's. The food was just as nasty and it was a bunch of black things floating in my sons beverage. Unfortunately my daughter drunk hers all the way. I will never come back To this place.

This one is an old school joint that still continues to bring joy to all. For my last visit, I had the usual Oki's Dog, which is essentially similar to a burrito and contains two hot dogs, a slice of cheese, a slice of pastrami, and chili wrapped up in a flour tortilla. It is always so good and scrumptious, but nowadays, I feel like I need to go on a run right after eating one! This is definitely a good choice, especially if you haven't had it before. For the beverage, I had the tasty and yummy Orange Bang; this drink includes milk, eggs, sugar, and orange juice! This definitely kept me energized on the way home. I parked close and just walked on over. Just a reminder that they only accept cash here, but the good thing is everything still costs low, which is probably one of the reasons why people keep coming back!

I mean, what can I say!?!?!?!? it's FIIIIRE!! Fresh, quick & great portions. Is it healthy? Lmao, it's GOOD!!! It always hits and you won't leave disappointed. It's worth the cheat meal! My dad brought me here last month straight out of surgery lmaoooooo but I needed to eat something to wear off the anesthesia and I have NO REGRETS! Been eating here for over 25 years! Stay food all my life with the cash register to match ! They only take cash -- they do have an atm outside just in case pastrami burger with fries is a must have . Parking lot in back / street parking always available also. They do cook to order so be prepared to wait for fresh food . Inside a lot smaller than the original oki but same feel pictures on the walls tables with bench seats

I've been going to Oki's Dog since i was a child and every time I visit LA I do my best to stop by. If any of my friends are with me when I'm visiting, I take them if they've never been. I introduced my boyfriend to my dad and Oki's Dog the beginning of this week, so this is something special. We ordered the pastrami burrito meal and if you like pastrami you just can't go wrong. The combination of bell peppers, pastrami, I'm guessing mustard or whatever sauce is inside of the burrito is worthy of an LA street food chef's kiss. My boyfriend finally gets the hype I have about this place. Yeah, he's lucky to have me. Foodie AND Yelp Elite girlfriends are the best! But seriously, try this place out if you have time when you're in LA. Either location works! Just give yourself drive time.

Get the Pastrami Burrito!! It's huge for 2 Or get the Hawaiian Tacos add hot sauce!! Get those big as$ Fries!! I've been coming to this place my entire life. It never fails me when I'm really hungry! The one on Pico!! I love the old school service of cash only! Small inside but they get the job done!

Classis. This is an original staple. The cabbage was cooked perfectly, the bread was warm & soft, the pastrami exactly how i remember it. The website prices are outdated. For $15 per sandwich the peppers should be free

One lady has been there over 20 years The cooks are- fantastic! The bonus: Great SUPER reasonable prices!! FRESH FOOD! Consistent over 40 years -- Has me hooked

My 2nd visit this month. Today was the basic Teriyaki burger. Institutional patty , bun, w/ their unique teri sauce, more of a light sauce no starchy gloppy teri. It all ends up sort of moist, but I like the texture. It was $ 4.50( tax included) bring $$$ , no card games here.

Oki Dog! Oki Dog! Oki Dog! Had to write a review for Oki Dog. My guilty pleasure. Way back when I used to live in LA, this was the cheap eats that everyone would go to after we got out from the Hollywood clubs. The Oki Dog is two hot dogs, pastrami and chili cheese all wrapped in a flour tortilla. Sounds gross but it is greasy and yummy goodness. Saddened to hear that the Japanese owner passed away. Used to see Jimmy working whenever I went. RIP

This is one of those extremely disappointing highly rated Yelp places that filled us with regret. Burgers don't even have toasted or warmed buns you get a cold burger. Flavor less. Fries were okay. The soft drink mixture was off but at least they changed it for a different drink. The teriyaki burrito was the worst burrito I ever had in my life and it's expensive too. Irv's burger has fantastic epic burgers and great service. Check that place out in my opinion.

The oki's dog is basically a "hotdog chilly cheese burrito" and is delicious. If that's sounds like something you will try, you won't regret.

Service is fine for a Small, mom & pop burger spot! Cash only... I've been eating there for years. The original spot was further west on Pico Blvd just after Orange Dr. (Before they took down Roscoe's on Pico) I don't eat beef or pork, so I'm slightly bias and only get Turkey Burgers. But my friends who do eat red meat rave about the pastrami (burger, burrito, you name it!) and they have banana peppers (you have to ask for them)

I have been going to Oki's since I was a kid. I love the fact that it's the same owner, and the same great food. Los Angeles is filled with a ton of great hole in the wall places to grab good cheap eats. If you've never been to Oki's, add this to your must try list. I've only ordered the pastrami burrito because it was love at first bite. I know that they have plenty of other things on their menu, such as, chicken wings, burgers, and probably so much more. Truly my love affair with their pastrami burrito has been a lifelong obsession. I have never had anything like this anywhere else, made by anyone else, or found anything comparable to it anywhere that I've lived or traveled. First off, the burrito is huge. It absolutely is shareable and if you can eat the entire burrito on your own, well, you go you. The burrito is filled with a mixture of yummy pastrami, sautéed cabbage and a variety of other items that they use in their saucy filling. The mustardy saucy filling is the make or break to this unique burrito. There is a ton of pastrami along with all of the other ingredients. If you don't think you will tap out eating even half of this gastronomical delight, give the chili cheese fries a try. Remember, this is a true LA hole in the wall. The crinkle fries just add to the experience. Being a LA native, The other must-have is their orange whip drink. Yes, this is another one of those must have's. Do you all remember orange Julius? Yes, this is that amazing orange whip drink. It's a must. This location is only open during daylight hours. Go grab a pastrami burrito, you won't be sorry!

I heard about Oki's Dog while walking around LA. It sounds like something locals in the Fairfax area seem to know about, and though it's quite low key, it does seem to have a faithful fan base. While driving through the area, I decided it was time I made my way to Oki's Dog to see what all the hype was about. Note that they are CASH ONLY! So make sure you have a bit of earth monies ready to spend. They have a small dining area inside and outside, as well as a small parking lot. Looking at photos, I knew that I wanted the Oki Dog, which is two hot dogs, cheese with chili and pastrami all wrapped into a nice burrito. It reminded me of my favorite item from Pink's! It was really tasty, good mixture of meats and chilli, and not as oily as Pink's, which I appreciated. Loved the meal, and will start bringing people here when they're craving a burrito dog!

in my younger days, you probably would have found me at a place like this every day. The restaurant isn't really any different from the typical mom and pop burger place (Arry's, Pharo's, Jim's, Tom's, etc.). The signature "Oki's Dog w/ cheese" was a challenge to finish. It's basically a good sized chili dog with pastrami wrapped in a flour tortilla. I wouldn't call it exactly distinctive, but rather a reconfiguration of the various menu items into one. It's like going to McD's and having a Big Mac, Filet of Fish, and Chicken Nuggets innards smashed together and wrapped in a tortilla. Where's the creativity in that? Finally the Oki's Dog just bombards you with bite after bite of salty processed fatty meats. I think if you eat just a hot dog or a pastrami sandwich, the bland white bread just offsets the salt. Not knocking the place, it just doesn't live up to the bill.

I did the chili burger & the infamous oki dog. From the first to the last bite, I Fulfilled my inner fat boy. Chili cheese on everything. I was actually with someone who never had chili (French dude) he raved about the oki dog! Next, Im going back for the pastrami sandwich & teriyaki.

Magical Said I need at least 85 characters but this is a place I don't want to spoil. Okis dog was the most amazing thing I've ever seen and the pickles... well out of this world. Quite literally.

While driving around the Los Angeles area at lunchtime, I did a search and came across this place and we were only a few minutes away. It is located on Pico Boulevard, directly across a multi plex shopping center that has Lowes, Petsmart, and a few others. There is a parking lot but it only has about 5 stalls so you might have to park on the street. We went after the lunch rush so there was lots of parking, but it filled up fast. This place still abides by the Covid 19 guidelines in that the staff wears masks and there is a clear plastic separating you from the cashier, but there is tables and chairs for you to sit at if you wanted to eat there. The menu has a lot to chose from and it runs from breakfast items, burgers, hot dogs, tacos, and plate lunches. We ended up chosing the Oki's Dog, a chili dog and an order of chili fries (no cheese). The order came up within 5-10 minutes and first thing I noticed was this place has the type of chili that doesn't have beans, like the type you find in Cincinnati. The Oki's Dog is something I would recommend if your hungry as it's 2 hotdogs, some pastrami, chili and cheese wrapped in a tortilla. The chili fries were good, but I would recommend them to be eaten fresh as the fries would still have a crunch while smothered with chili. It's a great small business and if your wondering why I didn't give 5 stars is because of their Covid 19 precautions still in place. Remember to bring cash as they don't take credit or debit cards, which I find ironic, with all their precautions in place, as a lot of places went card only, even temporarily, to avoid the contact of someone handling money.

Noms. Affordable noms. Chili cheese everything. Just do it. Will come back to try the teriyakis
