The 31 Essential Restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

"Okkio’s cafes, founded by Đạt Phan, are a respite from the zooming motorbikes and honking cars. The District Three location is tucked away in an alley off busy Pham Ngoc Thach Street, and the cafe doesn’t look like much as you approach the white French Colonial-era facade. Inside, though, is an Instagrammer’s dream, with winding steel staircases, small red-painted pathways, two floors of retro-chic furniture, and a small garden. Okkio has a wide assortment of drinks, including cold brew, Vietnamese cà phê sữa đá (iced coffee), and a brew bar where you can choose your beans and brewing method. Opt for one of the house beans for the full Okkio experience." - Linh Phan

Okkio Café is tucked away in a quiet alley, and I visited based on a recommendation from a Vietnamese friend. The staff were friendly, and the interior design was impressive, with greenery visible from almost every corner, creating a calm and pleasant atmosphere. What I ordered: • Hot latte • Cold brew – Passion Sparkle The latte was decent but not particularly memorable. However, the cold brew stood out — the refreshing, sparkling element paired very well with the smooth cold brew, making it a highlight of the visit. I would order the cold brew again.

Very stylish cute shop with great hand filter coffee. I was never disappointed by they beans selection, which always includes Vietnamese beans (it’s great to see them support local coffee farms). The back patio is quiet and relaxing. I also had a bagel, it was ok, not as good as the coffee.

One of my new favorite coffee shop! Nice coffee, reasonable price in the centre of Saigon. Cozy atmosphere with a reasonable noise for me to enjoy a coffee alone!

Loved the cozy vibe here. We came at 4PM and it was so crowded that the staff had to set up chairs and a table for us near the stairs (really kind of them!) Best to go early since afternoons get packed. Drinks were good: brown matcha latte (90,000 VND ~ 200 PHP) was thick, cà phê sữa đá or Vietnamese coffee with milk (55,000 VND ~ 120 PHP) was strong, both drinks were not too sweet which we loved. Japanese cheesecake was just okay.

One of the best place to get you a Ca phe sua da aka Milk coffee in Saigon. Good flavor, cozy and quiet place.

Okkio in D3 is perfect if you’re into open, nature-friendly spaces, that’s definitely its charm. Personally, I’m more of an A/C lover, and it felt like they had it blasting at full power =)) no complaints there. The brand’s pretty well-known, so the higher prices make sense. I do think the drinks are kinda pricey for what you get.
