The 31 Best Restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam | Eater

"Okkio’s cafes, founded by Đạt Phan, are a respite from the zooming motorbikes and honking cars. The District Three location is tucked away in an alley off busy Pham Ngoc Thach Street, and the cafe doesn’t look like much as you approach the white French Colonial-era facade. Inside, though, is an Instagrammer’s dream, with winding steel staircases, small red-painted pathways, two floors of retro-chic furniture, and a small garden. Okkio has a wide assortment of drinks, including cold brew, Vietnamese cà phê sữa đá (iced coffee), and a brew bar where you can choose your beans and brewing method. Opt for one of the house beans for the full Okkio experience." - Linh Phan

A fantastic coffee shop snugly tucked away on an upper floor of an otherwise unassuming building facefront towards the everbustling roar of Le Loi's streets in the busy heart of Ho Chi Minh City. I find quiet mornings here, with pour-over coffee from Okkio's vibrant selection of beans, to be a rocksolid way to start any day. The space itself accentuates this feeling, what with its rustic, quaint aesthetics, housing seats cosily yet aplenty, whilst a playlist of classics constantly accompanies one's time here. The staff are easygoing yet without losing a professional touch, whom are an easy chat and perfectly amiable. Exactly what I'd want from a coffee spot of its size and nature, hence the deserved fives on all fronts. Chanced upon the opportunity, I'd stop by any day. And given that opportunity—a memento (...mori) to remind myself—treat yourself to a straight cup of Wush Wush if and when it's on the menu, because my goodness is that some good coffee.

The cafe is tucked away on a busy main road, easy to miss. The several flights of stairs lead to a cozy cafe, with rustic decor. Perfect for reading a book or catching up with friends. We ordered the croissants because they looked sooo good! Very fluffy pastry and delicious fillings. Didn’t want to leave but we had a flight to catch.

Another hole in the wall, up 2 flights of stairs, rippa of a coffee shop. You really need to keep your eyes open in this town. So much happens on another level! Sick of Egg & Salted coffee, I was back to a more familiar flat white. Then the page on Ceremonial Grade Matcha caught my eye. Well, that Matcha Tropic was out of this world! 🍵🌏

Imagine a speak easy coffee shop. After being intrigued by the entrance we ascended up a windy staircase into a bright a lofty coffee shop. We tried three coffees- iced egg coffee, iced Vietnamese black coffee and an iced coconut coffee. Very smooth with a caffeinated punch. We loved relaxing upstairs and the service was five stars.

Very nice vibe! Egg coffee was good. I love the overall atmosphere although you will have to scale the winding stairs to reach this establishment. Anyway what's with the slightly creepy altars half way up the stairs? 🤷

Cosy little cafe where you have to climb up a spiral metal staircase to reach it. Staff speaks excellent English.

Lovely egg coffee and blended-ice coconut coffee. It was unexpectedly peaceful on a Sunday at 8 am, even though the market outside was super crowded. We unfortunately only had a few minutes before we had to rush off to an appointment, but this seems like a lovely place to linger, especially when their sweet kitten is around to provide entertainment!

Their vibrant red spiral staircase is sure to catch your eye first. However, climbing up to the third floor might leave you feeling a little dizzy. The cafe’s interior is comfortable, but it is not always a tranquil space as it can be quite busy. The drinks were acceptable, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
