I had the brisket Ajou, my wife had the ribs! Both super meaty, lots of smoke flavor, great barbecue hands down. We’ll go again. Highly recommend. The cornbread muffin was the best cornbread muffin my wife has ever had, and that says a lot!!!

Google
Pretty tasty BBQ! Not like southern BBQ, but tasty sides and flavorful chicken and ribs. Legit sweet potato fries!

I tried to call the store, but since nobody wants to pick up I'll leave a review here and just email corporate, but I ordered food for me and my friend and as she's halfway through her burnt end sandwich, she turns the sandwich over to see a SUPER moldy piece of bread being used for the bun. (Update) We've both been sick the last couple of days and it definitely ruined my Thanksgiving, I haven't had the energy to come into the store, but I certainly will once I recover.

Google
Walk up, order, and seat yourself.. Simple layout, clean, well arranged... Brisket, 3/5. No bark, where's the smoke ring, flavor is decent, it is tender, The beans are good, Mac and cheese is good, 3/5 Pork nachos, are a no go from me, not a lot of pork, not visually appealing, perhaps, another 2 Oz of meat would save it.. 2.5/5 Ribs, 3/5. Flavor is good, mostly tender, some dryness... Overall, it's OK...

Google
Friendly staff and food was amazing! Reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. The beans, turkey and pork were our favorite but everything we had was great. Highly recommend.

Google
Awesome staff, delicious food, but it was pretty warm inside. (82°) and it is 96° outside. We came here straight from Omaha Zoo. Needed some food and hydration. 7/28/25

Google
BBQ Brisket was fine... Portions were reasonable. 2 Sides were very tasty 😋 Sausage was less than exciting taste wise ...large link served just not tasty😕. Menu board just shows soft drinks.... Doesn't tell you if it's Pepsi or Coke products... Cashier was less than helpful..... She was pushing for "tips" holidays ya know.

Google
This place is soooo good. I’ve been to the Joe’s gas station restaurant in Kansas City, and I know this is the same Joe. Did not disappoint. We got several platters to try everything plus onion rings. The meats were all stellar. I rarely like baked beans and this bean mixture is so good. Green beans were rockin’. Burnt ends out of this WORLD good. Check it out, Omaha!

Yelp
Visiting Omaha from Hawaii and walked around the area to see what eateries were around. After walking around, I decided on BBQ. We ordered the baby back ribs with cornbread, loaded nachos with brisket , beans and coleslaw, and a loaded baked potato with brisket. The ribs were so soft and tasty. Pulled the meat off the bone with a fork. Their bbq sauce was just the right tang and sweetness. I was delightfully surprised with the coleslaw, crunchy and sweet. It went well with all of the dishes. The baked potato was so good but I couldn't finish so we took that home. My husband said the cornbread was the best he had tasted. Service was prompt and had a friendly staff. The ambiance was fun and clean. I enjoyed the whole experience and hope to go back one more time before I leave.

Yelp
Clean interior. Not KC quality BBQ. Came here for lunch to see if it is anything close to the Oklahoma Joe's (now KC Joe's) in Kansas City, but it was not. The menu is slightly different. There are a few items that based on the description sounds similar, but the name of the food item was changed too. For example the Z-Man we have in KC was featured here also, but under a different name, "The Q". They claim that their big beans are super famous, but it did not taste very much like BBQ beans. Their burnt ends and brisket were dry, but at least still had some flavor. The sweet potato fries were the best part of my meal, unfortunately my coworkers ordered the sandwiches and they all looked very sad compared to the sandwiches that I see at the KC Joe's. The restaurant looked new and clean, and is within an easily accessible area, but unfortunately the food is not worth it to stop.

Yelp
The food was awesome with large, fresh and delicious portions. The service was beyond Awesome!! Josh was fantasti! From the walk in welcome, menu suggestions and serving of the meal to the to go sauce he had waiting for me as I packed my leftovers and he observed the need. Incredible service is the reason we will return. Thanks to Josh and the crew..., all were amazin!

Yelp
As far as dining goes, we enjoyed our lunch at Oklahoma Joe's. The problem I had was trying to locate a website with menu information. I couldn't navigate through all the sites to one that brought me to the Aksarben Village location. That could just be my searching skills, but normally I like to check out the website menu, and I couldn't. That being said Big Bro ordered a pulled pork sandwich and the baked beans. He thought they were both very good. I also ordered the baked beans but thought I was getting green beans. Little did I know that the baked beans are a signature dish on their menu. I liked them a lot, but did have to sort through some bits of meat in them. I also ordered the mac and cheese which I thoroughly enjoyed. There were only a couple of other diners so it was quiet in the industrial style space. Probably could be quite loud if the place was full. Next time I'm going to get the cornbread.

Yelp
Eh. Was the food terrible? No. Would I ever recommend this place to someone looking for decent BBQ? Also no. I had the pulled pork sandwich. The texture was fine, but the bun was soggy and the pork had basically no taste. My side of sweet potato fries were great. My boyfriend had the two meat plate with brisket and sausage. The brisket was the worst brisket I've ever tasted. It was dry and flavorless. He said the sausage was just okay. His green beans and mac and cheese were very good. I guess the conclusion is to stick to the sides here?

Yelp
I bought an Oklahoma Joe Longhorn combo BBQ 3 weeks ago. The outside of the bbq is already starting to crack. When calling the helpline they said this was not covered by the warranty and I should just buy high heat paint to recover it. The temperature guage arrived cracked and is on back order. They are less than helpful. Would definitely not buy again!

Yelp
I had never been to an Oklahoma Joe's before, and wanted to check it out after seeing it across the street from Sonny's. I ordered the brisket plate and was surprised to see it come on bread. I really enjoyed the bbq beans and mac n cheese. However, my brisket was not that great. It was pretty dry and not what I was hoping for. My boyfriend got the Carolina and onion rings. The onion rings were mainly just breading with little onion ring. It was not a good ratio. The breading was very crispy and tasty, but lacking actually onion in the onion ring. Overall, I don't see myself coming back. I would much rather go to Porky Butts and make the drive all the way to West O.

Yelp
Ordered delivery and it came correct, so that's a plus! Ordered the two meat plate and a side of fried okra. I got the pulled pork, burnt ends, potato salad, baked beans and corn bread. The pulled pork was great, a 5/5! The burnt ends were 2/5 for me. The portion size was small and half of the ends were not edible (too hard to even chew). Super bummed on that since that was the main reason I ordered from here! Potato salad and beans were good! The friend okra was a bit salty, but the overall flavor of the batter they used was really good.

Yelp
My uncle took me and my fiance here for a new bbq place and the food was outstanding. Me and my fiancé will be back for a date night or lunch date. All the workers were amazing, service was amazing, as customers left tables they came and cleaned everything fast so others could sit I give it a A+. Wish I could leave more stars than just 5 stars
google avatar

Dave B.

Yelp
$18.91 for a barely mediocre pulled pork sandwich and drink. I wouldn't mind paying that price if the food had some flavor, but that certainly wasn't the case here. It supposedly was a Carolina-style sandwich, but that wasn't clear to me. When I walk in, I'm subjected to what passes for modern music. To add insult to injury, the cash register girl flips around her screen and gave me an opportunity to tip her and the help. I would have done so if I was assured that the money would be used to fix those two giant self-inflicted holes in her ear lobes. The only good thing decent here was the cole slaw and it was no prize. Unlike Pickleman's next door, the portion was a decent size. Fast food was now reached the tipping point in the price to value equation. Thanks, Biden for all the inflation as it will cripple this industry.

Yelp
Great BBQ in a really fun area. You walk up to the register and order there. There's a large amount of options with some great sides. The burger with pulled pork I got was perfect and the mac and cheese was so cheesy.
google avatar

GayeLynn M.

Yelp
I attended with a work function. I tried the 3 ribs and chicken. The ribs were good but I picked a number of pieces of grissel out of it. They must use the same kind of chickens that KFC uses. I had look for the chicken on the plate. But is did taste good. It was a good helping of potato salad and very good. The corn muffin was fantastic. They could save their 2 slices of bread if someone orders cornbread. It's basically a self service restaurant. Clean and inviting

Yelp
I LOVE a good bbq and had notice Oklahoma Joes in Aksarben. Tried it out Friday evening. Ordered the Burnt Ends meal and 1/2 slab meal. The service was friendly and quick. The sides were potato salad and green beans - both were good. BUT we were VERY disappointed in the actual bbw. It was overcooked and very dry, almost tough. We usually get ribs and burnt ends whenever we get bbq.... so we know what to expect. THESE were barely edible. Sadly, we picked up and took them home (10 min away) otherwise we would have let them know right there at the restaurant. VERY disappointing. Won't order with them again.

Yelp
Dickies. Dave's. Oklahoma Joe's (current version). I see no difference. It's average fast bbq. You won't find anything mind blowing here, unfortunately. Not that it's bad, it's just not something I'd go out of my way for. Joe's KC in Kansas City is what you're looking for if you want the delicious bbq that used to be associated with the Oklahoma Joe's name. This is completely different.

Yelp
On a recent visit I had the Ribs and Burnt Ends combo w Mac N cheese and Beans Burnt Ends - the highlight. I would get these again Ribs - solid. They aren't saucey so depends what flavor you prefer/are looking for (they do have 2 dif bbq saices you can add if you want) Beans - really liked them. great flavor Mac N Cheese - not a fan. ok flavor, not that cheesy

Yelp
My parents were in town for the day and near 72nd and Pacific, we decided bbq sounded best. Aksarben is a great area with a lot going on and tons of options but if you like parking directly in front of the doors good luck. The set up is like a pepperjax or chipotle, look at the menu, walk to the counter, order and pay for your food then they'll bring it to your table. I ordered the bbq brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries. I believe what my parents both got was called rib tips, comes with a decent amount of ribs, a side of coleslaw that had some kick to it, slice of toast, and they both got fries. We were all very pleased with what we got. They have a couple choices of extra bbq sauce you can put on, you can also purchase a bottle. I would definitely come back here, even just for the sweet potato fries, they were still really good even when they got cold!

Yelp
One of the things I like about Oklahoma joes is their fast service. The front staff is always patient as one is looking at their menu(quite extensive) I changed my mind a few times while looking lol. The food is good quality, I prefer OJ to famous Daves as a personal preference. They have plenty of room to gather and a more private area as well. Oklahoma Joes also uses Toast which is a huge plus as it simplifies things for me as I like to use Apple pay. Toast also provides a rewards system which is nice for regular customers Looking forward to my next visit

Yelp
Highly recommend the barbecue loaded baked potato! It was huge & delicious! Their fried okra was probably my favorite! It was whole okra fried, not pieces & was cooked perfectly. The burnt ends, pulled chicken, & potato salad was also really good. The employees were friendly & helpful. The restaurant was clean & decorated with interesting things on the wall.

Yelp
This was my first time eating at Oklahoma Joe's. I found them through a Yelp search and ordered from the website. I got the pull pork sandwich. I didn't see a place to order a drink with the sandwich. I unwrapped the sandwich and found a bone in the middle of the pork. Besides that there was a generous portion of meat, nice bun and coleslaw on top. It was very good minus one bone. The place is a little hard to find and parking will always be an issue. I walked about two blocks to get to the store. I'd try it again.

Yelp
Just left great service and ordered the salad and it was 10/10 was getting it for dinner took a taste of the salad and well it's gone so I'll have to make another salad for dinner. Not from here, but it's worth the visit 10/10

Yelp
204th Street location. Brisket is very dry. Falling apart dry. Ribs were good, slightly overcooked. Beans are avg. Potato salad is avg- nothing special at all. Overall I will give it another chance. Dining portion not even open yet. Deserves another chance but everything was overcooked this trip.

Michael G.

Yelp
Junk, did not last two years. Customer service terrible, they were more concerned with getting my phone number and email than helping me. All they did do is try to tell me I needed a new part each time I callled in. Calling 1-800-gotjunk
google avatar

Rob M.

Yelp
Total disappointment. Food is clearly served from hot boxes. I watched as plastic bags of "bbq" were opened, measured, and spooned onto trays. Food is likely cooked in a food factory and shipped frozen and warmed up. Avoid the sausage links. Reminded me of canned Vienna sausages with a spicy sauce.
google avatar

Yelp
First time here at Oklahoma Joes in Aksarben Village. Pretty quiet on A Monday evening. The restaurant is decorated nice and was clean. The menu is on the wall when you come in and the staff at the cash register was friendly. I ordered the two meat platter. (Brisket/Sausage). Also ordered 2 sides, green beans and spicy coleslaw. My wife had the hog heaven sandwich and my daughters had the snack pack. The food came out quickly. Was underwhelmed by the quantity for the price. Overall the food was ok. Brisket was dry. The sausage was juicy with a good casing. The green beans were over salted. My wife enjoyed her hog heaven sandwich and my girls really liked the chicken strips. They all had a heaping amount of fries. Free refills on the pop! Overall, in my opinion, the food was ok. I would come back again but not my go to BBQ joint in the Omaha area.

Yelp
So good for quick bbq! It's a little pricey but that's pretty normal for bbq. I love the pulled pork and baked beans. The toast and mac and cheese are mediocre though.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food and better service. Highly recommend this place. Would definitely recommend the champion platter.
google avatar

Yelp
Person who took our order (pink/blonde hair) very nice and helpful!! Will come back for sure

Luis P.

Yelp
Average... somewhat generic BBQ. Bland but edible, and bbq sauce is too sweet. Food came out very fast, and workers were nice and helpful, but nothing stands out.
google avatar

Frani B.

Yelp
Deeeeee-licious. BBQ really hit the spot. Only wish they had more sauce options (I'm a sucker for a good mustard BBQ). Champion platter was plenty of food for 2 people and only $30.

Yelp
This review is for take out service and the food we received. We ordered in about 20 mins before we wanted to pick up the food. I was walking in the door exactly 20 mins after it was ordered and everything was packed and ready to go; plus someone was there at the counter to help me check out immediately. (Side note: The restaurant was somewhat empty due to ordering at an off hour and also the weather outside was icy and gross.) We ordered the brisket french dip and a burnt end sandwich. Our sides were the potato salad, baked beans, corn bread. I actually thought the food here was quite delicious, and reminiscent of the OK Joes in KC (even though I know they aren't technically related anymore). The history of Oklahoma Joes in Oklahoma City and KC and the split between owners and blah blah is quite a story, but in the end, this is decent bbq that if you come in without the intent of comparing to the KC franchises, can stand on it's own. Casual, fast, and friendly. Perfect for the Aksarben neighborhood.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm a follower from the KC location & I was happy they opened in NE!! I think it's one of the best BBQ places in town & I've always recommended it! I ordered the ribs-meat falls off the bones & pulled pork that has a nice smoky flavor & are both tender meats. The side order of beans could be a meal in itself! It's hearty with meat & beans! The French fries are thin cut & seasoned well. I recommend everything here. Honestly, it doesn't get much better!

Yelp
Stopped by here during my most recent visit during an annual training visit. It resides in Aksarben Village conveniently near our regional office. The restaurant was clean and big. Atmosphere was casual and staff was very friendly. We ordered a meal for 2 plus some add on. The BBQ was very good. The ribs, the bologne, pulled pork, tri-tip, and sausages. We added the burnt ends which were tender and sweet. I typically like savory over sweet but trying something new and was very please. It wasn't't as smokey as southern bbq but for me, it was still very good. The sides, green beans, Mac n Cheese, and onion rings were very tasty too. Sometimes these are misses at other BBQ joints. The complimentary pickles were a hit too. Something about pickles and BBQ together. Yum. Overall, I do recommend if you want to get some good BBQ at a decent price.

Yelp
Went to Oklahoma joes with fam for dinner tonight. Was my first time and I went with no expectations. First off the service was friendly and helpful. We were greeted with smiles. I got the rib- burnt end combo. For sides I had spicy slaw and green beans. Both my sides were very good. On to the meat. I loved the burnt ends. They were full of flavor and exactly how burnt ends should be. My ribs I found to be ok. Kinda fatty and chewy in parts and not completely fall off the bone style. My wife had brisket and sausage. I thought the sausage was great. Very juicy! Her Mac n cheese looked very dry. Both kids has chicken fingers and they both said they were YUMMY. Lol. Over all it was a good dining experience. Still waiting for that blows my socks off bbq in Omaha.

Yelp
I think that Oklahoma Joe's is closer to a 3.5 than a 3 star and they'll eventually figure out some kinks to bump it higher. I have been to the Kansas City location multiple times and never had a bad experience (that + Q39 were my favorites down there). I would say that the Omaha location is very inconsistent- there were some really good dishes and some disappointing ones. I'll also preface this review by saying that I do not expect this Omaha location to be as good as the one in KC- that one has been open for a while now and obviously has gone through waves and waves of customers. They have everything down to a science and I understood that going in to the Omaha location. Good: Brisket- Could have been slightly more tender but I didn't have many complaints. The flavor was great and this was my favorite meat. Sweet potato fries- Loved the texture and flavor. These were above average and I would order them again. Pulled pork sandwich- I loved the coleslaw and it added a nice crunch to the sandwich. The pulled pork was also flavorful. Loaded potato with pulled pork- This was surprisingly very big and tasty. It was fully loaded and I thought the pulled pork went great with it. Texas Toast- Was just your average texas toast, but I appreciated that the buttered it. Meh/Disappointing: The Ribs- I had a full rack of ribs. The flavor was similar to KC Joe's, but the tenderness and texture were not. The ribs were tough and not fall of the bone moist like you want them. I was thoroughly disappointed with these and I am sure they'll improve it next time. Coleslaw- Forgettable for the most part and average. I should have gotten the spicy slaw. Regular fries- The KC location had really good seasoning and they also gave you a ton there. Value wise, these were far behind, both in terms of taste and quantity. Burnt Ends Sandwich- I actually liked the burnt ends quite a bit, but they got lost in the bun (which was sizeable). I also thought it ate a little dry (I did add BBQ). All in all, I had two okay experiences at Joe's. Is it the best BBQ in Omaha? I'm leaning towards no. That being said, I think that they will improve and work out some of the kinks.

Yelp
Forgot to review this place back in the fall when I grabbed a large takeout order for myself and some friends. We did a mobile order for 6 people and I was impressed with how accurate they got everything! Biggest bummer was that they were out of cornbread- how can a BBQ place be out of cornbread?! While it's not Kansas City BBQ, it was pretty good and had some hearty portion sizes. Not a must try but was definitely tasty.
google avatar

Lauren H.

Yelp
We wanted to try something a little less "famous", and settled on OKJoes; we were NOT disappointed! Had to order through GrubHub - which was a chore by itself, but we won't get into that - and snagged the 2-Meat Meal plus, the burnt end meal. Loved their packaging; definitely biodegradable which is important! Their mac-n-cheese sides, green breads, and fried okra (not cut up, the ENTIRE okra folks) were our side choices, and I'd definitely eat my weight in the mac-n-cheese. Maybe because the pasta shape they used spoke to me? Not really an issue by any means, but asked for ranch (I mean who doesn't now and days), and no such luck. Not even in the bag. We'd definitely go back and dine in once the city opens up, but for now, I say try them!

Yelp
Came in for lunch to a packed place. The atmosphere is pleasant and fits the food, and staff is friendly. There may be a long line, but it moves quickly, and the food also comes out fairly fast. Got the rib and one meat dinner with brisket, mac and cheese and beans for $15.99. it comes with three ribs and two slices of bread. The meat has a great smokey flavor and is decently moist. They go well with the three sauce options too. The brisket could have been a bit more tender though. I also tried some pulled pork and chicken and they were both good. Overall, the actual BBQ is solid. Unfortunately the same can't be said about the mac and cheese, which was extremely bland and had no cheese flavor. Will not be getting that again unless they update the recipe. The beans were pretty good, but seemed to have a little too much vinegar. Definitely recommend stopping in and trying the BBQ.

David C.

Yelp
Was excited to see another BBQ place come to the Omaha area. Unfortunately they fell short. Tried them 3 times and every time was a disappointment. I first tried the ribs. Sadly they tasted as if someone thought you could set the oven to 180 and leave them in indefinitely without an issue. They were so dry the texture was close to jerky. Beans tasted like a can of off the shelf with some hot pepper added. Not great but not absolutely terrible. 2nd time I had the smoked sausage. Tasted like it was store brand something or another farms. Not bad, but could have had 3 times the amount for half the price but getting it from the grocery store. 3rd try told me I'd for sure not be back. Granted I came in about 20min to close, but they had already dumped the sweet tea and were staring to shut down. They reminded me three times they closed in 20 min between the time I ordered and the time I left. Not a great way to treat customers. Icing on the cake is when the people knew I was drinking unsweetened tea and decided to dump what was left at 10 min to close when I needed a refill. Although the lady apologized, she still felt the need to remind me again that they were closing soon. That was their third strike. I won't go back even though they are just 5 min from home. I'd rather drive to the BBQ off 156th and Maple. Never a bad experience there.

Briana R.

Yelp
Soooo delicious. Brisket was soft and flavorful, sweet potato fries were crispy and the homemade chips were delicious. I really, really enjoyed it.
google avatar

Abigail W.

Yelp
For a bbq place, I don't think it's ultra special, but it's good. The restaurant is clean, and I don't think you always find that at a bbq place. The prices are a little steep, but not too bad. The service is quick and you know what you will get!
google avatar

Yelp
A weak 3 stars...I should give 2. According to the signage hanging in the restaurant, Wolfgang Puck says Oklahoma Joe's is the best BBQ he has ever had, and Anthony Bourdain (RIP) says Oklahoma Joe's is one of 13 places to eat before you die. Maybe the original location, but definitely NOT the Omaha location. I've spent enough decades living in Texas and Oklahoma (and traveling the country and world) to know good BBQ. And lousy. The family had a Carolina brisket sandwich, a pulled pork sandwich, and a burnt ends sandwich. All were mediocre, kind of bland. The fried okra was not sliced, but fried whole and kind of bland. The Freedom fries were good. The sweet tea was lame...weak and not sweet. And none of the BBQ sauce options impressed me. Good BBQ doesn't need sauce, but my brisket sure did. Lastly, I wasn't tricked, but the tip options on the iPad-style register screen probably gets a few people. It goes from no tip, to 25% tip, to 20% tip, to 18% tip (and maybe a custom amount...don't recall). I bet a lot of people see "no tip" and expect the next option to be the low end...not 25%. Seems sketchy to me. So the Omaha location is not great, not even by Nebraska BBQ standards. Try over in Millard or Bellevue for better quality.

Yelp
Food was what I expected. Have the brisket sandwich with dipping sauce, ended up eating with with BBQ sauce instead.

Yelp
We came in on a Saturday night around 7pm and were rather surprised to see a number of open seats and very short line for ordering. Do I think this is the best BBQ in Omaha? Probably not, but it is still pretty decent. We sampled a variety - pulled pork for the kids, brisket sandwich with Au Jus and burnt ends. Meat was overall very tender and seasoned well. I appreciate the addition to the Aksarben Village.

Kathleen E.

Yelp
The place is nicely decorated and very clean. I was helped almost immediately...unfortunately I didn't get his name but he was very friendly. He took my order at 5pm #40. I ordered the Burnt Ends sandwich and selected the BBQ beans as my side per his suggestion. He did ask about a drink but I declined. I went back to my hotel room and OMG I was blown away how delicious the sandwich and beans were! I told everyone who would listen of my outstanding dinner experience! Unfortunately I am just passing thru on my way to Virginia otherwise I would definitely be back! I hope y'all open a location in Short Pump area in Henrici, VIrginia!!! Thank you!! Kathleen E

Yelp
Great place to go if you're craving smoked beef brisket and sweet potato fries! I was here with my nephew on a little lunch break from visiting my sister(his mom) at nearby Clarkston Tower at UNMC.

Yelp
Oklahoma Joe's is certainly one of the top BBQ places in Omaha. My family and I have ordered from here twice through DoorDash and each time, it was absolutely delicious. I have ordered the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich twice now and it is PHENOMENAL! Their BBQ sauce is legit perfect. Smokey, thick and just a little spice kick. My Dad orders the dipped brisket sandwich with aus ju and loves how tender and flavorful the meat is. Plus their sides are out of bounds. Their mac n cheese is tasty - really creamy with cavatappi pasta. Yum! And their sweet potato fries are crispy and addicting! Seriously, order the sweet potato fries and thank me later. And even when we order food through a third party like DoorDash, the food is always accurate, fresh and warm. I cannot tell you how much we all appreciate that, regardless of how little or big the order is. Our order is always on the larger side (big family) so whenever we order from a third party, our biggest concern is that we won't get everything we paid for. But Oklahoma Joe's has GREAT customer service and our orders have always been spot on. The only reasons I didn't give Oklahoma Joe's 5 stars is because : 1) their coleslaw is just loaded with onions - it's so pungent and overwhelming. It's practically inedible (at least in my opinion). I love putting coleslaw on my sandwich (because that's what a Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich is) but I can't and it does miss something. Plus it's not very creamy. 2) they are a bit pricey. Yes, most BBQ places aren't cheap but for the cost, I thought there could be a tad more meat or a bigger portion of the sides included. Definitely a great Omaha spot for a BBQ craving!

Decent bbq the rib tips where really good. The hot bbq sauce could have been a little spicer but all and all a nice little place

Yelp
Why does Joe's get a basic three star average? A complete mystery to me. I found Oklahoma Joe's to be excellent in its genre. The spicy cole slaw is on the sweet side, but still piquant and delicious. Nice green beans. Nice burnt ends and pulled chicken. Sauce with zing. My experience was home delivery - planet friendly packaging. I've paid a lot more for barbecue not nearly as sumptuous as this.

Yelp
I grabbed takeout while visiting Omaha as it was a cold night and I was looking forward to a hot meal and some comfort food. I ordered the two meat plate with chicken and turkey and for my sides I got green beans and potato salad. There is a prepackaged area to get bbq sauce to go and I grabbed the hot and the mustard base. Both were good with the mustard being my favorite. The takeout was packaged perfectly so that the sides were in their own Covered containers to stay to their temperature and not get into the other food. It also includes to pieces of bread. I was overall quite pleased with the food, portions and flavors and the quick turn around for a takeout order. The only thing that I didn't love was the potato salad as it was tons of mayo, just to creamy for me. Otherwise I liked it a lot and will likely just get a different side dish next time.
