Google
Nice place for breakfast and dessert. The crepes are some of the best I’ve had. Made to order as you watch. They have both sweet and savory options and if you order for dine in they come on a wooden board. The coffee is good, just a little too hot for me. The matcha was pretty good too.

Bri S.

Google
Iced chai was too sweet, barely drinkable. Ham and egg bagel was just okay. Felt like store brand bagel, ham wasn't great, and egg tasted like it was powder, not real. Banana, strawberry Nutella crepe was good, although their crepe was thicker, more like a pancake, and I prefer a thinner crepe. Service was quick and friendly. The Gelato looked good.

Siul E M.

Google
I’ll start off by saying the cashier was very sweet. The other lady (pregnant) needs to really work on her customer service skills. I asked if she could make the matcha less sweet and she said no. She was making orders like she doesn’t want to be there. If places are going to ask for tips for their employees, they really must do better.

Steve A.

Google
Camil, Ol La La is always a pleasure—exceptional food paired with your warm and gracious presence. You elevate the entire experience, and everything served here is truly next level. Thank you, Camil, for making every visit so special and happy new year to you!!

Google
Last time we tried the crepes, this time the smoked salmon cream cheese spinach tomato everything bagel $12.48. Delicious!

Google
Have came here a couple times and every time it feels like I’m bothering the girls working there. They give very rude and unfriendly attitude after simply asking questions about the menu. Also they said they were out of peanut butter but I still got charged for peanut butter…. The acai bowl is good but not worth dealing with workers there.

Google
Mid nothing special. Flavor and texture was not there compare to other places I’ve gotten macaroons from. Nice and clean place very well kept. Fast and easy good service and good info.

Google
Very small. I ordered a creme for $12 and got a crepe with jelly out of a Smuckers jar. Crepe was doughy and the staff couldn't understand me when I asked questions about the menu. Unfriendly. Although I didn't try the icecream it looked delicious. Over prices and unfriendly. Dine in was crammed against the wall.

Yelp
The vibe is super comfortable and very inviting, the kind of place you actually want to sit and hang out for a bit. I tried the caramel macchiato and can honestly say it was one of the best coffees I've had in the San Diego area. Smooth, not too sweet, just perfect. For dessert, I had the Nutella crêpe with bananas and strawberries and it was amazing. Light, fresh, and not overly heavy. I was also surprised they had savory options, so I tried the chicken pesto crêpe and it was just as good. Really flavorful but still light, which I loved. They also had gelato that looked insanely good with some rare flavors like Dubai chocolate. I didn't get a chance to try it this time, but I'll definitely be coming back for the ice cream and to try more items. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
This review is just for the pizza alone as that is all that we have. I'm going to say it's a salad no for me and enough to make me not go back and try anything else. We stopped here during Comic Con as there wasn't much else that had space. The pizza was over $15 for a pepperoni, and it was some of the blandest undercooked Pizza I have ever had. They added nothing to it to give it any type of flavor it seems, and the sauce was pretty much non-existent. We stomached what we could just because we were hungry, and left the rest for the trash.

Yelp
Looking for an affordable and quick place to grab a bite, look no further. The Nutella and banana crepe was delicious. It really hit the spot and had plenty of Nutella and bananas in the crepe. We also ordered an Açaí bowl with berries, granola and honey, it was DELICIOUS! We split the larger for only a few extra bucks over the 16oz, and it was big enough to have spilt three ways. The service was fine, the lady who took our order was nice and helpful. I can see why others say about friendliness, the workers won't go out of their way to say hi, but the service was fine. The store was kinda small, so we ate outside. On a beautiful San Diego day, it was an excellent way to grab a quick bite and enjoy the scenery.

Yelp
This is my favorite gelato shop! I've been back 3x so far since trying it. The service is always fast and friendly. It looks like a cute little moms and pops shop. Small and intimate. I've tried the Rocky road 10/10 Mixed berry 10/10 Double chocolate 11/10 Mango 10/10 Lemon 10/10 The gelato just melts in your mouth and they give you a really good portion!

Yelp
Stopped by here after seeing that the line for Slurp was wayyyy too long. The display of various cookies caught my eye and I was drawn in to the confetti cookie. I thought it tasted pretty standard- chewy on the inside and not too crispy on the outside. It definitely satisfied my sweet tooth for the time being!!

Yelp
This place has it all... ice cream, milkshake, cookies and more. It's a good thing they do because if they sell just the cookies alone, they would not make it. Service was OK. My teens got the birthday cake cookie and the cookies and cream cookie. Three cookies were hard as a rock. Perhaps that's not their signature items. The cookies seem to be sitting out for awhile. My teens didn't even finish their cookie and it was not cheap! Stay away from the cookies.

Yelp
Came Saturday night at midnight because I had been craving crepes for a bit and I was in the area. One of the paler girls working with a gold necklace around her neck maybe in a heart shape and her hair up has a terrible attitude. Especially for a place that is charging $15.50 for a crepe that didn't even end up being fully cooked. Plus $1 tip is actually kind of outrageous. I watched her give a sassy attitude to a different customer who was just excitedly asking about the matcha and the worker could not even pretend to care one bit. I desperately wish I could take back my tip and am most probably never going to return or recommend the place to anybody unless their workers fix their attitude and/or the prices get lowered. I also work in food service that is open until 1am so I understand what it's like but I cannot comprehend acting this way. Not worth it at all

Yelp
This crepe spot will satisfy your sweet craving at night, but I don't know if we would return to grab a sweet crepe during the day. We were walking around Downtown and stumbled across this shop. We thought it was closed just by looking at its hours via Yelp and in the front, but they were still open. Their hours are not up to date or maybe they were open late because of comic-con. We ordered a classic crepe and substituted Nutella for condensed milk; strawberries and bananas were added to it, too. I'm not a huge Nutella guy, and some of the menu items had condensed milk instead of Nutella, so it still made sense. We waited a bit, and the lady making our crepe did not seem like she wanted to work. The crepe was a bit chewy but good! I enjoyed the seating outside, and the owner's little son took our plate and asked how the food was.

Yelp
Cute little shop nestled in downtown San Diego. They offer an array of different sweet and savory crepes, gelato, smoothies, specialty drinks and more! Truly a place everyone can find something to satisfy a craving. Service was quick and attentive. The store offers some indoor and outdoor seating. Plus prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back to try new things whenever I'm in town.

Yelp
Olala Crepes was a nice surprise! Initially came in here wanting to try their crepes but ended up just trying their acai bowl. They offer two sizes for their acai bowls, which we had gotten the smaller size. It was a good size if you're looking for a good snack that's not too sweet. The acai mix itself was lovely; I loved that every bite you can expect to have some granola. The acai is a bit on the liquidy side and not as frozen as I am used to, but nevertheless still good. The staff was all super kind and sweet. Would come back again!

Yelp
Returning to comic con, i always find myself stopping by here at least once for a treat on the way back to whatever telly we are at. This time around i opted to not do the crepes (was a bit sweet for me though i know they say it's more on the healthy side) We got the acai bowl and it was enjoyable, felt fresh and the toppings were yummy. Has a lot of granola in it which i welcomed for the change of pace in texture. Thanks again olala will be back next time.

Yelp
Coffee tasted amazing! Not from the area but found it walking around downtown San Diego! Wish they had one near me! Also, the shop itself is so cute!
google avatar

Madison P.

Yelp
Overall: small shop with okay sweets, rude and inflexible service, nothing special about the ambiance, and no bathrooms Stopped in for an acaii bowl and gelato. Both were super sweet. The lady who took our order seemed very angry to be at work. They don't offer samples even after you have paid for your order and you can only get one flavor if you order a small. There was some outdoor seating.
google avatar

Brian G.

Yelp
I got the strawberry, banana, and Nutella crepe. You can see them make it behind the counter and it comes out nice and hot. This was a good dessert and hit the spot when I was looking for something sweet to eat at night.

Yelp
Olala is a charming European-style coffee shop in San Diego's Gaslamp District. They offer a variety of breakfast options and an extensive selection of coffee. I tried the pistachio latte, and it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a black coffee for my partner, which had rich flavors and a perfect balance.
google avatar

Nycole R.

Yelp
While browsing the street vendor offerings just outside, the smell of delicious crepes drew us in...that and the sign for a bagel and cream cheese with a cup of drip coffee. Sign us up! Inside, I could not get enough of the beautiful cherry blossom tree décor. That small touch really changes the entire ambience of the place. And the lights that shine on them bring a whole new level to the look. I really like it! They serve fresh crepes as well as gelato. My wife's bagel had a very generous amount of cream cheese-she ended up scraping about a third of it off, which was a little wasteful but there is too much of a good thing, I'm told. Since we were here early in the day, we weren't up to trying gelato, but it all looked good-maybe on another day we'll stop by and try it out.

Yelp
Me and a colleague found this place after dining a block away and we were craving dessert. This is a crepe, gelato, and coffee prepared many ways sort of place that didn't disappoint. I went for the happy medium and ordered an affogato- which I'd never had before. For its simplicity - it is something you can make at home; but it's always nice when someone can make it for you. All it is, is a healthy dollop of vanilla ice cream served in an espresso cup with a shot of espresso drizzled in the center. Viola!! You get creamy, lightly sweetened espresso goodness with warm, cozy spoonfuls of espresso.
google avatar

Yelp
Little bugs flying all around my food way too much mustard on my crepe and some pieces of chicken didn't look fully cooked .The crepe is not at all made or tasted like a traditional French crepe.
google avatar

Brett P.

Yelp
Stopped in on our way out of town for a quick breakfast. small place but has a nice street side seating area. I had the President crepe didn't expect a crepe to be as good and filling as it was the brie was creamy, the tomatoes were fresh and the bacon was crisp. Service was quick and friendly. We spend a weekend in San Diego every year and I think this will be added to our routine when we are there.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is hit or miss depending on what you are ordering. Can't go wrong with dessert! My sweet tooth gets the best of me and can't go wrong with theirs. They have good crepes, macarons and they have ice cream. Today was my first time ordering a panini from them. I was unimpressed. It lacked flavor and barely felt grilled. Stick to the dessert and skip the paninis.

Yelp
We came here last time we were in San Diego, it was an okay place so we decided to come again, I found plastic pieces in my food!!! Black hard plastic scattered like some utensil broke and it was baked right into my crepe. There was about 5 pieces. This is a health hazard. I ordered it through door dash and reported it to DoorDash. I am not coming back here ever again. I don't like leaving bad reviews as it's bad for the business but little tiny pieces of hard cracked plastic?? It is now late at night and my right side of the stomach is hurting. Thank you so much for hurting my health! Much appreciated.

Yelp
My daughter chose to have crepes for dinner. Although there are a few places to choose from in the Gaslamp quarter, my daughter was drawn to the brightly lit, cute little shop and appealing menu items. My daughter ordered the Un Peu (salted caramel, sliced almond) crepe with whipped cream, while I chose the Je Suis President (bacon, brie, mozzarella, spinach, tomatoes) crepe. Both were beautifully presented, generously filled and delicious. It was my first time having a crepe made with buckwheat flour -- it was a perfect complement to the savory fillings. After eating, we realized that my daughter's crepe didn't have the added whipped cream. When we went back in for dessert, we mentioned it to the girl who helped us. She was apologetic and offered my daughter a cookie which she declined since we had already bought gelato. It was a small $1 upcharge, so it wasn't a big deal. Nice little place situated at the center of Fifth street with seating inside and outside. Good service, delicious food.

Yelp
I saw people eating crepes on their sidewalk section, so I decided to go in. They have a decent selection of crepes. I got l'originale with butter and cinnamon sugar. I also picked up some macarons. The macarons were nothing special. The crepe was good, but I'll say it was not enhanced by the cinnamon. After having crepes in France, I like the butter and sugar best. Service was good. Convenient location to draw your in while walking around. It smells very good.

Peggy H.

Yelp
Over $8 for a small gelato with one scoop. Good gelato, but rude employees. Very disappointing experience. The inside is small and cramped. On the bright side, the menu had quite a bit to offer. Also, there are no samples.

Yelp
This review is for their satellite location in Little Italy. Quality/Quantity - Beignet Trio, picture perfect. Too bad it did not taste as good as it looked. Tasted like it sat in the display case a long, long time. Also, the filling was not proportional to the dough. Atmosphere - Satellite location, very small. But a prime location, the first business you see when you walk into the food court. Need a code for the bathrooms in the back. Service - Good service, I was able to swap out one of our chocolate trio for a strawberry one. Price - $9; expensive for what we got, even for a tourist area... Owner Comment - Congrats on your success and 4 locations. I look forward to trying one of your other locations to order a fresh crepe. I am sure that will be a more positive experience.

Yelp
The information on this place online is wrong or different depending on where you're looking. Hours are wrong, broken links, website doesn't load, etc. Best to call before you go, but even then it's probably the wrong number. Not sure how this place survives.

Yelp
The strawberry banana crepe was loved by the kids. The açaí bowl was also a hit. I tried their affogato and it was okay. We came on two different days and experienced very different customer service. On our first visit, we were behind a lady who arrived there first. A lady standing behind the cash register was on the phone... for a very, very, long time! Neither mouthed to please wait, nor gestured that she'll be with us so the lady ahead of us turned and left. We stood there, with her on the phone, with no acknowledgement whatsoever. We also turned to leave. We came on a different day, different time of day and customer service changed drastically!!! A different set of workers with better customer service made the place seem brighter, happier.

V V.

Yelp
Had this delivered via DoorDash while at a conference in the area. Some of the best crepes I've ever had, and really hit the spot--even comparable to (or better than) places in France (some might say that's an exaggeration, but I'll stand by it!). I got the Je Suis Hereux and it made me very happy indeed! Super fresh-tasting, great ingredients and flavor. Will definitely be a place I come back to whenever I'm back in the area.
google avatar

Valerie R.

Yelp
I ordered a bagel and it was ready fast, or so I thought. Bagel was cold. Not toasted, egg was premade, cheese was off brand and looked crusty. Awful. I also order a hazelnut coffee and that tasted bland with no flavor. I do not recommend.
google avatar

Ariana S.

Yelp
Came here for the crepes. Took it to go and and maybe 15-20 min later when I was going to eat it, it was hard.. the crepe was hard.. this is the first time it ever happens to me, they are usually soft... I really don't think they prepared the batter correctly.. something just didn't taste right about it. As for the ice cream/gelato that I got, it was delicious... The service was great as well, the girls were very kind.. service was very quick too. I'll be back again but just not for the crepes!
google avatar

Luke H.

Yelp
Açaí bowl from here was bigs fruit was fresh and pb was tasty. Nice walkable area as well.
google avatar

Courtney E.

Yelp
The crepes are pretty good, but smaller than what I'm used to for the price and taste like the average crepe. I got the Un Peu ($10.75) and the A La Folie ($12.19) and preferred the one with Nutella. If you have a craving for crepes these are on par with other creperies.
google avatar

Scott H.

Yelp
Excellent peanut butter and banana crepe with a little added Nutella. Strawberry gelato was a perfect mix. My friend loved his pistachio gelato. A little bit overpriced, but not too bad. Service was fast and friendly. Nice curbside table on a street closed to vehicle traffic.
google avatar

Kiley J.

Yelp
They do not give samples and have a sign at the front saying so. Aaaand they want you to commit upfront to their flavors. No wonder they were empty inside on a Saturday night with their stingyasz. Pricey af, too. thumbs tf down. Will not be coming back. Not even to breathe their air. Ambiance? Flat. Staff? nowhere to be found

Yelp
Often times when I come in Olala Crepes the employees are not paying attention, and today was no different. I walk in the front door to get an açai bowl, and a woman behind the counter, not sure of her name but she was a young lady with braces, wasn't paying attention at all because she was on her phone laughing and watching videos while also listening to another phone up by her ear talking to some friend I presume. So, I stood in front of the register for a minute, waiting for this young lady to get off of her phone. I waited, and waited, but she never paid attention to me. I cleared my throat to get her attention, and she finally looks up and she says "oh, how are you?" I say "Good." Then, this woman who should be working instead of scrolling through TikTok says to me "You know, you should say good morning instead of clearing your throat at me." So I said to her. "You know, you shouldn't be on your phone at work, and you should pay more attention to your customers." Then I walked out the door. Pathetic. The fact she would even say something like that to a customer makes me believe that she cares nothing about her job and she cares nothing about giving customer service to anybody. How could the owner of this restaurant let this kind of behavior happen? It's obvious no one cares. What a joke.

Yelp
Cute, little, vibrant floral dessert cafe located downtown. Very clean well maintained cafe. Inside and outside seating available. They offer truffles to gelato to coffee to crepes to macaroons. Just to name a few tasty items. We ordered the cinnamon sugar/ butter crepe, Nutella crepe, caramel macchiato plus two truffles coffee and Irish crème. The menu is a little pricey. The truffles are amazing!! Customer service was average, the young lady was not very inviting or helpful.
google avatar

Peejay P.

Yelp
Walking around downtown we wanted some dessert. The kids waffle with salted caramel ice cream- delicious combo! I almost wish I had ordered the large size.
google avatar

Aja H.

Yelp
Stopped in on my way back to the room from wanting a sweet treat. We ordered: Tiramisu Gelato: It was very creamy and delicious. The hints of chocolate and creamy texture was perfect. The shop owner was very nice and served up the gelato right away.
google avatar

Quantrice K.

Yelp
So yummy, found Olala walking around downtown with my little ones. Teresa was so sweet and went above & beyond to make sure our experience and ice cream was amazing! Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in during Padres Fan Fest for smoothies today. The shop is pretty narrow. We ordered the açaí smoothie and the peanut butter smoothie. They cost about $7 each. Service was good, smoothies were refreshing.

Yelp
Super cute eatery, we loved the ambiance and multitude of different options. We tried the Banana,Strawberry and Nutella. It was good. 3/5 Pistachio Gelato 5/5 and pumpkin gelato- I didn't try so can't give a real judgement but it looked great.
google avatar

Yelp
There are two crepes spots in this area. I just want to say this is more aesthetically pleasing, whereas the location nearby has more room and is not so cramped. You got to make do with what you got though right? And with what they got, amazing job. The employees in the store were very welcoming and attentive. Thank you, because my previous experience that day with a separate establishment was not so great. The crepe we had ordered was amazing. The Nutella, the strawberries, the bananas... just yum. Not too much on everything and the texture was there. Everything you really expect when you bite into a crepe. This will be my go-to dessert/crepe spot when I'm in downtown.
google avatar

Richard R.

Yelp
I can watch these ladies work all day. I cook for my family, and these ladies move and work together so well. The place is small and clean. It is well kept, and that is obvious. The star of the show was hard to determine. The crepes were very good with plenty of fresh fruit. I wanted to try a savory crepe but didn't get to. The gelato was very yummy with great flavor. The smores flavor was a hit with the kids while I completely enjoyed the pistachio. We will gladly go back any time. Olala is right!
google avatar

Gillian A.

Yelp
I wouldn't call myself a crepe connoisseur by any means (I don't even remember the last time I had a French crepe) but I enjoyed the crepe that I had here! I got the beaucoup with apricot jam. Freshly-made thick and uniform crepe and the apricot jam in it was very tasty. 'Twas a nice little warm sweet treat to start off the day. :)
google avatar

Yelp
Food is fantastic, but my favorite thing on the menu is the Mazapán Latte! Soooo good!
google avatar

Carmen V.

Yelp
Great crepes, service and location. I was going to get my crepes at the nearby Cremerie but that place has declined SO much in service (they ignored me, the girl working there was there kissing her boyfriend in front of me and others), just terrible, so I left and then remembered that just some steps away was Olala. I had been here before for crepes and ice cream and always great experience. Both my capuccino and the nutella crepe was satisfying and I liked sitting outside with my little mantelcloth people-watching.
google avatar

Yelp
Add ingredients to give more favor. Gelato might be a better bet than the crepes. I really wanted to love this place. We have a gluten-free creperie back home so I had high hopes for one here in SD. Plus the reviews seemed to like the food here. I brought a few friends and we each ordered different crepes on a weekday for lunch. We were the only ones there when we first arrived but more folks came after. It took a while for the food but they have a small kitchen. Unfortunately no one cared for their crepes. I ordered La crucieux. It was dry and plain. The chicken tasted like it was just boiled. It did not seem to have herbs or spices. If you order this, I recommend adding tomatoes or something else to add moisture and flavor. I also tried the Mazapan Peanut Butter drink iced. It came with espresso in it but it was not noticeable. The drink is heavily peanut buttery! I did not end up finishing it. The Gelato options looked beautiful in the case. I would still come back to try that.

Yelp
Walking through Gaslamp and stumbled upon this place. Very hole in the wall, and almost missed it, but extremely worth while. Got the mint gelato, and a few macaroons. The person helping, Teresa, was extremely kind and helpful! Would definitely recommend this place for a quick sweet treat while walking around and exploring. Servings were great and prices very super reasonable. It was exactly what we needed on this warm summer day. Thanks!
