Had the junior suite with nice views facing the beautiful buildings of Oxford. Bed was comfortable and staff were helpful. (Of course Oxford is heavily touristed - but that is expected). However, we also expected to have a better selection of movies and television for the near £1000 per night for the room. Harry Potter was shown on the roster of movies on the ITV station but TV indicated that the Aerial connection could not be made. Staff was kind enough to come help figure it out but couldn't. Also the room needed some eating space for in room dining, as this was lacking. The only such table available had a plate of fruit and a bottle of water w/2 drinking glasses on it (A nice though by the way - and much appreciated). Still, it was not enough for in-room dining. Bathroom could benefit from a fan, and could be better cleaned as there was residue and crud in the bottom of the shower glass. The Quod was a nice dining space, but the exposed un-skinned deer leg/thigh at the center of the bar, hoof sticking up, was unappetizing for this American, but perhaps that is just a cultural thing. Could also be seen as quaint. Again, I'm just not used to that.||It was nice to have a safe in the room, but it was also a very small safe, so a laptop could not be placed in there. Also, it malfunctioned and needed help to get it working. But alas, after many attempts, I was able to get it working. It was quite a flimsy safe, and I'd expect better from such a costly place. Overall, stay was good.
