The Old Carriage Inn is a very homey place to stay! We were greeted by the kids as we pulled in the driveway, so we felt right at home right away. Our room was comfortable and well maintained. The breakfast had plenty of variety and some snacks were available in the kitchen at all times.||If you're going to the Michiana Event Center, this is the place to stay - right across the street, a short walk away!

This was our second time staying at The Old Carriage Inn. We reserved 3 rooms this time around, my parents & other family came along with us. We grilled by the gazebo then relaxed by the fire pit. The beds were so comfortable! Biscuits & gravy were tasty. We are already making plans for another visit. My family loved the stay.

I will give this property a 5* rating based on the price point paid and the friendliness of the owners and the staff. The homemade breakfast was nice with a lot of choices. Our room (first floor in the barn) was small, but I expected that based on the pictures; the bathroom & shower are decently sized though. Would have liked to sit around the fire pit at night but it started raining late in the afternoon and didn't let up. We stayed here because it's close to the Blue Gate PAC, but it's also close to everything else in town. This could be a nice spot for a family or friends get together. If you're expecting the Ritz, don't come here, but if you want a clean room and friendly environment, this may be right for you.

Cute, comfortable rooms with private bathrooms. Access to common areas like porch, patio, fire pit, kitchen. We stayed the night before the flea market and was allowed to remain parked, while we shopped. The offer breakfast in the morning. We had choices of various fresh fruits, hard boiled eggs, cheese, meats, cereal, juice, milk, coffee, and a French-toast bake.

This place is AMAZING. It is so charming, so cozy. Diane and her family that are the Inn Keepers are so sweet, so thoughtful, considerate, I could go on and on. I planned a family reunion here and it went beautifully. And when I called 3 months ago inquiring about an extra room, she said said she did not have availability but put me on wait list and lo and behold someone cancelled and she called me right away and I snagged it!!! We had 90% of my family on property!!! The inn literally backs up to the flea market grounds!!!! We shopped, brought stuff back, stacked, shopped more!!! And Diane's breakfast was SOOOOO GOOD!!!!!

I had the honor of staying here in the barn over this weekend I can’t say enough about this place. When you walk through the door you are graciously welcomed by the most amazing couple ever! They are so thoughtful and kind. The food that was prepared for breakfast was made with such love and kindness and a true heart of Jesus! The couple Diane and Doyle have such a genuine heart for everyone that walk through the door but also for Jesus. When I come through Shipshwana again I will definitely be staying there again! May the Lord continue to bless Diane and Doyle for there generosity and hospitality!

This place is clean, affordable, and convenient. The breakfast is homemade and outstanding. The owners are hospitable and make you feel right at home. We truly enjoyed our stay! It opens into the flea market and is close to all shopping and entertainment. Friendly people.

Old Carriage Inn has very quickly become like a second home to me and my wife. Every time we come, we feel very welcomed and cared for. The room is always in excellent condition and the staff clearly takes pride in their work. It is very fair pricing for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay.
