"Directly overlooking the lake and just a stone’s throw from the pedestrianised area, this restaurant boasts a spacious dining room with breathtaking views and a convenient terrace at street level which is ideal for alfresco lunches and dinners. The cuisine focuses on generous dishes inspired by local traditions with an emphasis on meat, although fish (from the nearby lake but also from the sea) also features on the menu. Children’s portions are available, while the wine list offers a good selection of carefully chosen Slovenian wines if you want to order a glass of wine with your meal. Absolutely fantastic!! The lamb shank was delicious. This was probably one of the best meals we've had. I emailed for a reservation. I also wanted to be close to the water because it was my husband's birthday. The staff were incredibly accommodating. It was indeed a special evening. Lovely view!!

Special end to our holiday. We booked a week in advance to make sure we had a good table. If you’re a couple looking for a good view and romantic vibe, it’s definitely worth booking with them via email in advance. The food was special. The service was exemplary. The bled cake stole the show and was much nicer than the neighbouring restaurant that has the ‘original’ version.

While the view is amazing, the food is poor and price doesn’t fit to what you get. Seafood risotto was undercooked and under seasoned. The cream cake was good but nothing I would remember. You pay for the place and view. The waiter was very friendly and we got table very quickly.

We've got a table on a sunday evening without reservation. Very nice atmosphere, and design, although there was a bit noisy. Could hear a busy kitchen and behind the couter hustle. But the service and food can compensate for any slightest discomfort. The service was exellent, careful and professional. We orderd fish, seabass and river trout. The dishes were fine looking and combination of ingredients and garnish just prefect. The fish was fresh and soft, nicely fried, with much taste. The slovenian orange wine accompanied nicely with the dishes. They charge you for the service, 2,5 per person. But water, bread with olive and amuse-bouche comes at no extra charge. We were very satisfied with whole experience!

The view is amazing, but the food is poor and the price doesn't reflect what you get. First, we asked the waiter which soup he would recommend. He said they were all very good. We chose fish soup which had more fish taste than fish and probably gelatin to make it thicker. The seafood risotto was extremely oily. After a couple of mouthfuls, it was impossible to eat. The river trout with potato salad was a total disappointment: three small, overcooked pieces of fish on top of potato salad made with cheap, fatty mayonnaise. We complained about the fatty food, but the waiter was indifferent. You pay for the location and the view.

The food and the view were excellent, but we were very dissatisfied with the service. Our waitress was very rude, and every time we tried to place an order for the main course and dessert, she would roll her eyes and act like she had something more important to do. Fortunately, one of her colleagues noticed and helped us by taking our order and handing it over to her. In our experience, this kind of service was very strange. We respect that each table has its own assigned server, but unfortunately, we didn’t get a good one.

They have a really nice terrace with a great view of the lake and the castle. I would recommend making a reservation as they are usually full. The food was tasty, especially the Black Squid Ink Risotto. We found the service a little slow, however, the brought breadsticks with hummus and bread with olive oil so we didn't mind the wait.

Had a wonderful dinner here. There can be a line/wait to get into this restaurant for dinner, so I recommend getting a reservation ahead of time. You have a lovely view of the water and the castle/island from their patio. Our waiter was great, providing helpful recommendations, and our food was delicious. Would recommend coming here!
