Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom

We came in to celebrate St Patrick's day, they were busy but the service was fast and the bartender was friendly. We got Italian parmesan wings and 7inch pizza and the food was piping hot when they brought to the table, that was definitely a plus

Went in Jan after 9pm Was surprised how slow service was considering there were maybe 7 or 8 other people. Ordered the chicken pesto alfredo at the server’s suggestion. It came and the sauce was watery, barely clinging to the noodles and barely any flecks of green. It shouldn’t be called pesto Alfredo if there’s no pesto.

We came in on mother's day but it wasn't terribly busy (no wait for a party of 5 adults). We had to wait approximately an hour for our entrees, and the food wasn't very impressive. I wouldn't recommend this particular location, although our server was very nice, due to the long wait times. We've eaten at other Old Chicago locations with a much quicker wait time and better food quality so it could just be this location.

We were seated in the very furthest corner of the restaurant and then the gal who I assumed was our server stopped at several tables around us, made eye contact with us and never helped us. After 10 minutes we left without being addressed by anyone in the restaurant. This is unfortunate because we were really looking forward to the food we were planning to order. This is exactly why I stopped going to the Southlands location well before they shut down. We walked down the sidewalk to Postinos where the service is always amazing.

Amy and Hayley were awesome. They were attentive and always had a smile on their face. Thank you for the experience and great food. I will be back!!!

Nicole hands down is one of the best servers I’ve ever interacted with. Food was fantastic, drinks came out fast, all around fantastic experience. Nicole is a 10/10 waitress. Will be coming back multiple times in the future.

Service was good, staff was friendly. If you're going with a few friends it isn't too unreasonable price wise. They do have individual pizzas as well if everyone wwnts something different.

I don’t dine out as often but when I do, Old Chicago is one of those places that just feels right. I usually dine there for small occasions like a friend birthday or sometimes even to just go and watch a game. Their food is so fast and hot, the service was great, customer s are their number one priority and if I have another event; this definitely a to go place for next time. You should try it out I promise they won’t disappoint.

The 3 stars are mainly for the food - the service was great. The chips with the spinach dip were very strange-tasting so we dipped the pretzels in it and the beer cheese dip. I remember their deep dish being much better many years ago than it is now. Just really doughy with not enough toppings, though I liked the Nashville hot chicken concept and the flavors were good together. Overall, definitely edible good but really average.

I have had mixed experiences with Old Chicago. I came in an hour before closing time and they had already closed the kitchen. The pizza is good. Service has been slow.

We came in late with our kids but were accommodated. We waited 15mins before we got service at our table but once we were waited on the service improved. The pizza came out hot and tasty. We would come back again.

Disappointing and unimpressive...the food is obviously processed frozen food for a premium price. It's definitely not fresh, organic, or local. The beer is run of the mill (Get at any Grocery Store) beer for three times the price. Plus, the manager didn't honor the BOGO, with out adding two drinks to it. I mentioned other OC's don't require that, nor does the promotional flyer. They didn't listen or care, they were being shysters! The service especially from the obese night manager was lacking (BIG TIME). As example, I wanted a glass, told the waitress, she gave me the impression it was no big deal, but at the same time went and snitched to the manager. Who literally stood around the front door for two hours just to confront me I don't know how much he is paid, but I'm sure it's more then a $1.25 glass. He didn't do any closing duties or any work in those two hours. I saw him chatting with the bartender and playing on his phone tho...He completely ruined the entire lacking experience.

In town late tonight for a wedding in a couple of days. The front desk at the hotel recommended Old Chicago Pizza. We ordered a Large Meat Me, I added Mushrooms and garlic both cost extra $3.19. Sadly we didn't get any garlic, wasted $3.19. The pizza was really good, ton of meat and the dough was fluffy not thin. Traveling most of the day we were a bit hungry so we also ordered Bone in Wings Tall with Jamaican Jerk Rub, not spicy at all cooked well, crispy and tasted good. I ordered a side salad, smaller than normal with wilted baby greens. Homemade Ranch was good. You would think since we are in a hotel you would provide paper plates, napkins and a fork for the salad, but they didn't. Thankfully the front desk found some for me in the cafe storage.

The food is always good. Nothing exceptional but consistently good. Service friendly with a good bar selection. It can be loud so if your looking for a quiet place out this may not be the place.

Generally, it's good food and tasty, with a typical sports bar atmosphere. If you like deep dish pizza and a huge selection of beers, they do a good job. The question is, do you want to pay $30 for a pizza very often? Now, as to why I only gave it three stars...service was a factor, though very friendly, just took longer than it should. A side of Marinara sauce shouldn't take over 10 minutes and then be charged for it because they didn't put enough on the pizza itself. Now, if they were busy, I get it, but it was quite dead, so a little surprising. Pizza came in a reasonable time, but unfortunately the chopped salad was filled with wilted, brown romaine lettuce and very little other greens, so it was average and needed better quality control. Kid's Mac and cheese was a winner according to my youngest and came with a side as well. Overall, we had a nice time and enjoyed the food and atmosphere, just won't be a regular.

This place was really good. We went here with some friends visiting from out of town, a total of 5 of us. The parking is easy (I love Central Park because parking is always easy and the establishments are fun). We were seated almost immediately (It was a weekday evening). Being we are all gluttonous people, we were all hangry when we got there. In addition, we walked past everyone with all the yummy foods. But the wings got our attention. We ordered a keg (20 pieces) of garlic and herb dry rub wings. They. were. delicious. If you eat wings properly, you get everything off the wings hahaha. Surprisingly, they were enough to tide us until we received our pizzas. We ordered a 7-piece classic - it had pepperoni, sausage, and olives. The crust was more like a hand-tossed crust than thin, but it was still good. And I detest sausage, but luckily you could not really taste it since it was blended in the pizza. The sauce was good and the taste was great. The other order was a deep-dish style pepperoni. THAT was good. I love how the crust was a little crunchy and the dough wasn't doughy. For dessert, we ordered a big cookie. It was warm and crunchy with a side of vanilla ice cream. Uhhh, we were stuffed when we rolled out of there. Will definitely return. Thank you for the great experience!

Came back home after a week in San Diego, and hit up our trustworthy old Chicago. Love that there is a patio seating area and love that the servers are just as awesome as if we were seated inside. We had lunch here and of course you have to enjoy a draft beer when visiting - they are always cold and fresh. This place does everything right we couldn't decide on hamburgers or pizza so we got both! I absolutely love the buttery crispy delicious crust on the deep dish pizzas! The bottom is perfect while the rest of the crust is fluffy perfect dough.

I have to say I'm a little surprised by the poor reviews. My family and I love the Old Chicago thick crust pizza and it didn't disappoint this time. Also a big fan of the burgers. My reviews are never all about the food. Service is extremely important, and when I get good service I want to point it out(as I will with poor service as well) I was there for lunch on Friday. The young man that was our server was outstanding. My only regret is that I didn't get his name! He was very friendly and prompt with everything and just made it all a generally wonderful experience.

Sat at the bar on Wednesday night. Ask for a water, Diet Coke and a menu. Ordered a Cesar salad and a personal Chicago pizza. Drank both water and DC. Now I'm sitting right next to the service bar and was never asked if I wanted a refill. Food came it it was ok but was never ask by the male bartender how it was nor any more beverages. Possibly the worst service I have ever had! Now where was the manager? I would stay away!!!

This Old Chicago opened just a few years ago. Many locations look a little darker and dated but this one feels brighter and lighter. Always enjoy the pepperoni rolls and a beer before the pizza comes out. This is a good place for a family to grab a meal or friends to watch a game (or several at once - they have Sunday Ticket). Pro Tip: Sign up for their rewards program. If the Rockies steal a base you get a free 10 oz beer the next day, and they're constantly sending out promos and discounts.

So frustrating! We ordered from a hotel at 10:30 at night. Delivery was fast but there were no forks for our salads, no napkins and no avocado on our Chicken & Avocado Salad. We also ordered Sweet Thai Chili Wings, which was more like 10 small chicken nuggets smothered in a sauce with no flavor. The cookie was good though. We will never

Ordered a Detroit style pizza and when we got it it was 90% burned bread with almost no sauce or cheese. I called and the manager said "what kind of resolution are you looking for" I just wanted to have a real pizza! This is the absolute worst I have ever seen.

I have been here twice in the last four months, both times the service has been great. The food is always good and it comes in a timely manner.

Just waited 40 minutes for a personal deep dish. Pepperonis were burnt and crumbled like burnt bacon. Guy argued that's how they are supposed to be. I eat at OC once a month and. Never saw that. Didn't even have time to eat it.

Yesterday's visit was not like our first. It was just okay at best. Came in for a late lunch and some sold beer, it was hot out. The first Coors Lights were ice cold, awesome. My second beer I wanted a Guinness, but it was just cold, and not real cold at that. It was okay. Then the lunch order, my wife got some chicken sandwich that she said wasn't that good. Maybe a bad choice. The pile of fries that were with it were good though. I ordered the Meat Lasagna and some boneless wings, with Volcano sauce. The hotter the better. And I should mention that the bartender did not write anything down when we ordered nor did he repeat what we had ordered to verify. It seamed to take a good while to get our food and when I tried one of the boneless wings, they had obviously been sitting because they were almost room temperature. And no sauce, they were not hot at all. I just did not understand! The Lasagna, excellent. I would order that again no doubt. So we will have to think twice before visiting again.

This was my first time at this restaurant and it wasn't what I expected. it wasn't clean, the silver ware was dirty. The service was slow and the food was okay. But the worst thing was it was so cold in the restaurant and I mean cold. I finally saw a server and I asked if they could turn the heat on and she said well I will have to ask if can do that. so she came back and said my manager turned up the heat. I waited and the coldness did not get any better. so then I asked another server and he came back and he said the heater was broke on that side of the restaurant. I will not go back. I frozen when I left. And all of our family was not happy either

COVID - all employees are wearing masks. Tables are distanced. We've been a lot so we're familiar. They definitely had to cut back their menu which is a shame. We had the Thai chili wings which my husband really liked. We also had pepperoni rolls and pretzel sticks. We ate the Meat Me pizza. It was very good.

Where to start .. so I went here on a whim with my fiance because we used to go here a lot so it was nostalgic. We had a good time at the start and ate some terrible pizza. Then we were chatting with two of the owners separately and turns out they both don't like each other and for some reason one of them decided to randomly call the police on us out of nowhere! So we were being rushed out and my disabled fiance rolled/broke her ankle while we were being removed for some mysterious reason. The cops were equally confused and just helped us get into an Uber and home. DO NOT GO HERE!! Im writing this as I'm about to take my fiance to the hospital.

Sat at table for a long period of time and no one even came to acknowledge we were there Nevermind bringing us water or taking an order. Staff was walking around, chatting amongst each other etc. ended up just going to smash burger across the parking lot

Wonderful customer service from Nate our server and the general manager on Friday night. There was a little delay with our pizza but they went above and beyond for us. They apologized and communicated with us on the status. We appreciate the honesty and both of them taking the time to check on us and take care of us at a high level. Would 100% recommend this restaurant to all our friends and family. Service was outstanding and all the food was delicious and hot. Thank you Nate and the general manager on Friday night.

I've been coming here for quite some time; I am a single female. The schmoozing of the "boy's club" by the new female skinny bartender and the waitstaff is ridiculous. She is outright rude to females that choose to sit at the bar. It is obvious that the management has pointed out who the regular daily people are and that they are priority. I used to love coming here but won't be back. The management should not support this is in any way.

Ohhhhh, sweet baby Jesus, (I prefer baby Jesus) is this place awful. The 7-11 of Applebee's food. Given the invariable markdown for food quality and creativity for being in Highlands Ranch, CO and COVID...this place still defies all logic and your functioning taste buds. I am keeping to my ninja-Logan-food-warrior creed of not trashing a place until at least eating their food more than twice. I really need to rethink that policy. I have kids so the "tasting menu" here is an accumulation of both paying for and sampling the collective food. - Chicken Wings - I wish I would have taken pictures. Wouldn't matter. You would not have been able to detect any chicken-like meat on that crusty dry wretch. Shoulda got the jumbo bat wings. Off menu, of course. - Burger - dry, cold, wilted vegetables - twice forgot bacon. Must be the pork shortage her ein Colorado. - Some spinach-choke approximation - abomination - Salad, twice, was all wilted veggies and Sisco dressings - Kids chicken tenders - Just do dino bites instead of this - Ok, and now the "pizza" there is no Za, no Pi either. Bad crust, cheese?, meats that were cured from septuagenarian animals, warmth - nooo, oh and a lot of heartburn. Anything you would buy here, you can get at the crappy Safeway across the street and reheat yourself. The only thing that would approximate food from Chicago is if some mob-bosses were hanging around the parking lot. Sadly, not even that.

I'm so glad they are able to open to capacity. We didn't have to wait to be seated. It was clean and fairly busy but not packed. Food was decent, but the service was very slow and I chalked it up to our server. She was nice enough, just indifferent and wasn't very attentive. She came around just a few times and I had to remind her for water. I don't think she gave the others water at the table either when they asked. Our app didn't come out and was delivered with our meals. To get our meals took around an hour. It took another 20 minutes for my kids to get their ice cream. Maybe their short staffed in the kitchen, I don't know. But it seemed they had plenty of wait staff and weren't struggling to keep up. Wouldn't mind going again, just was a little frustrated with the service.

Terrible order I ordered there pretzels and cheese appetizer once before and they gave me a half cup of cheese. Ok whatever. I order today Wednesday feb 9 2022 at 930 pretzels and wings I pick up order everything is good. I get home and see they only gave me less than a quarter cup so I call and the manager Jason immediately gets a attitude like I'm lying to get a 15$ meal for free!! First of all if I was doing that it wouldn't of been to tap room starters. But anyway he basically accused me of lying and made me drive all the way back and the only thing he said he can do for me is fill the rest of the cheese up!! I said no bro now I want the whole thing free or at least the pretzels and he only wanted to fill up the cheese literally terrible management and I work in a restaurant and know how it can be but Jason was absolutely terrible I wish the other management would of seen that!

Always love getting my pepperoni pizza here! Always fast and good quality. Good customer service.

We went here for a friends bday and David was our server. Ruined the evening! Figured 1 server can't ruin a restaurant, so i went back. Yet David managed to ruin it again. Rude, incompetent, arrogant and just terrible. Won't be back

Went to Happy Hour last Friday. Sat at the bar with my wife. The bartender was so rude to us. Such an unhappy women. Not coming here again.

Great food, better delivery. We've ordered from many pizza vendors locally and not only did this show up in the best condition, it was still hot and better than I remember it.

This place is great. I love this location, the servers are super attentive, they don't care that we stay there for hours to watch a game. They have always been able to accommodate us so that we can watch the football game, my server today had no problem giving me quite a few samples to find the beer I wanted. The ale crust pizza is superb! Consistently delicious!!

I loved the food here & service was great don't know why they have such a low rating. We had the Chicago spirals, a deep dish cheese pizza individual it was enough for 2 people to share & a Oc Mai Tai. The game was on in which was a plus for my husband to watch.

Terrible and will never return. Bleak greetings...The host gave us a table that you could clearly see it wasn't cleaned. Visible crumbs on the seats. Yes wipe the table but not the seat!!! Wait staff---Took our order but seemed to not be pleasant when doing so. Ordered a chopped salad and it seemed to have been pre-made sitting in the fridge due to it being extremely cold like the plate it was on. We waited approximately 30 mins for our pizza to come in which you would think it's pipping hot but nope luke warm. Restaurant was not busy at all. Maybe 4 tables occupied and some people at the bar. Dirty plates provided. Asked for a straw, it never came. Didn't ask if we needed refills on drinks. When leaving all we got was bye with no eye contact from the host. With all the options people have of where to eat, establishments should be on their game and provide great customer service!!

We go to the Highlands Ranch Location. We love to bring our dog Rudy and sit on the patio. The server is usually Melinda. Melinda does such a great job with the menu, answering questions, etc, but she treats Rudy like a King. Fresh water and a little snack has been part of the program. I was in the Restaurant Business for over 50, working with my own concepts and a lengthy stint with the Claim Jumper. The food is always great, the beer cold and the service spot on. We like the Thai Pie Pizza. Hats off to Melinda and the rest of the staff. We look forward to returning soon.

I love Old Chicago and I really want this location to work out. The latest stop in was not very good. The wait was 15 minutes and there were 10 tables open but most had dirty dishes on them. The food, meh! My wings, I love the jerk dry rub wings. I got the tall order, they were skimpy. They must buy the lowest grade wings. There wasn't much seasoning either. My wife had a burger. It was cooked well past done. My daughter had pasta with red sauce. It looked like it had set for quite a long time. Just not very good. I don't think my family will come back. I'll still will for the jerk wings but I'll have lower than normal expectations. Please fix this place, I beg you!!!

I am still sick from a BBQ bacon burger I ordered on Friday night take out. I ordered it without the. BBQ sauce (since it was easier than any other option to get a plain ol' bacon cheese burger.) It came slathered/drenched in BBQ sauce.... I didn't eat the buns, scraped the BBQ sauce off the rest of it, and called the Old Chicago for a refund. Also had asked for condiments for the fries and we didn't get any. 24 hours later and now at about the 40 hour mark having lower GI problems if you get my drift. Edited to add now barfing. Probably caught norovirus there. They get one point for having the meal ready for pick up when they said they would.

Food is pretty tasty, service is friendly, food comes out fast (almost too fast when you order appetizers :p).

I would love to give them 5 stars but unfortunately, it comes down to training and consistency. I have had excellent pizza's from this location but, more times than good, bad pizzas. I ordered a pizza tonight and they actually followed the instructions and cut the ale house crust pizza normal. But unfortunately, the crust and ingredients were horrible. When one spends $24.00 on a small pizza, which they call large, I would expect one heck of a pizza made by one of the best. The ale house crust was soggy and the crust around the pizza took 1/3 of the pizza with little ingredients. Profit? 500%. I would also add I eat here at least once a week because of the good experiences. When the pizza is made correctly, this place is excellent. Once again, they lack proper training. The consistency ratio is 25%. It did not look like the picture on their website!

Wonderful! I have dined here for business lunches twice in March of 2021. It is a great restaurant to meet for personal or business! Great ambiance! Big, clean, airy, tall ceilings, comfortable booths. They are very good about Covid, asking that you sign in with a clean pen, keeping tables clean, contactless menus, (hard copy upon request). Fast, friendly service both times from host station to servers. The fish and chips was amazing. Tasty mild fish with a delicious crunchy batter cooked to delicate hot perfection with coleslaw, tarter sauce and lots of fries. The apricot blonde dry dock on tap is so refreshing in the tall glass. The chopped salad was also very good. 10/10.

We have been coming to this OCs since they opened a few years back. We have watched as the service has gone from mediocre to non existent. The management are no better. Horrible place! There are other places nearby-we will frequent those establishments from now on!

This is so close to work, we decided to bring the crew over for an offsite staff meeting at 3pm. From the first interaction, Ocean made it clear she was annoyed that we wanted to be seated. From the beginning she was super rude and seemed frustrated that we were there. She continued to rush us along. We ordered per her pressure and no time to think about it because she stated that she needed to get this done, so she can take her son to soccer. Food came, but didn't save the experience. Chips with the spinach artichoke dip and the nachos were not cooked, so chewy and not crunchy, they were not good. Ocean then made it clear she wanted to get the checks out and basically threw them at us and urged us to pay so she could leave. We did so. Will find other places to go in the future. Many other options nearby for sure that could provide an enjoyable experience. Frequently get asked by clients for good places to eat. Can safely say I will not recommend Old Chicago, I fact, it will be specific to avoid.

We don't get out very much but we always love an old Chicago night. Our server was a very pretty girl with green eyes and was very accommodating to us and our family. The pasta was amazing and our child was basically in a food coma by the time we left.

Love this place. I love the wings! Best part is the best wait staff. They are amazing. From The bar tenders to the wait staff. Always doing what it takes to get the job done and to make sure we are always satisfied. Beer is amazing and I love my tee shirts from the tours. Thank you.

Terrible experience ! Waitress/manager and food!! The waitress seemed very put out for asking if we could do half meat on Italian nachos because my daughter is vegetarian and then when asked to put artichoke dip in calzone (which we have done the last decade) manager came over and told me I would have to pay to extra to get that added in which I agreed to. She charged the entire price if the appetizer artichoke dip of $13 and the cost of the make your own calzone. I ordered wings extra crispy which came out pink. Told the waitress I did not want them and just to take it off just to have her come back 10 minutes later to tell me the wings were being refired? Unreal! Again terrible food terrible service!!

Horrible service. Food wasn't that good. Over priced for small portions. Just average. First time and disappointed.

We come here every once in a while. We came here again tonight because it sounded good. We sat a booth and a server said, "you're server will be right with you." Our server came by and we ordered some drinks and beer samples. The beer samples came but took a while to get our server Erin to come back for a beer order. We got our appetizer in due time. Our beers came, but before we could tell Erin we got the wrong beer, she was gone from the table. The other server working the area was by every 30 seconds it seemed. We ordered our food. Our son ordered a plain burger just like ever time we've been here. She asked me if I wanted the wings with the dinner I said yes. After a long while the wings came by themselves. Again it took a while for Erin to come back to let her know the wings came before the meal. Then a salad came for my wife. After and hour and four minutes our dinner arrived, but Erin our server said my son's burger which was ordered plain was made with cheese. We would have to wait to get my son's order corrected. Check out my earlier review about my son's burger at an earlier experience at this restaurant. After waited for a bit longer, I went to get the kitchen manager at the front desk. Our server Erin came by before the manager. I let her know how hard the other server was working her tables around us. Erin said she had more tables than her. The kitchen manager Travis came to the entrance of the restaurant. I told him my frustrations. After our conversation he asked if my son's burger arrived. I invited him to our table. It was not there. Travis the kitchen manager went back into the kitchen and retrieved a burger with fries. Travis comped the meal which was nice and we left a tip for the effort. Overall the service was slow and intermittent. Not gonna come back for a while.

Good appetizers and good service. We had the sampler and some wings. We also had a meat pizza. The pizza was Tasty but it fell apart. The waitress was excellent kept our drinks going and checked up on us often. They were out of the beer I wanted unfortunately so I opted for a Diet Coke instead. We will return again maybe try other menu items. Good crowd.

This location is amazing!! Beat OC in town!!! Food and drinks ALWAYS on point!!! Bartenders are great, we always sit at the bar for the great drinks, Sunset Beach!!!

Really sad. Go to have a beer at old Chicago in Highlands ranch at 4:30 pm on a Friday. 30 min wait PLENTY OF EMPTY TABLES. Just watched them turn down 10 people in 5 minutes. Outside seating had 2 people out there and plenty space. Need to close this location down if you can't afford to run it correctly. Place was almost completely empty.
