Tin Cup’s Plans to Close on Rice Street | Eater Twin Cities
"Purchased and currently being renovated by Gidget Bailey in Vandais Heights, the Old Clover Inn is intended as the planned new home for Tin Cup’s business once the move is completed." - Joy Summers
Fun dive bar! Great prices, all the locals hangout here. It feels like cheers. Don’t drive far for this place but if you are in the area and have cash stop in. I was thrilled and surprised they had an IPA on tap. I did want some food and live music maybe next time for the music anyway.

I really liked it. Was an awesome dive bar. Cheap beers, the patrons were all pretty friendly to me. It was an older crowd but I didn't really mind it. It was quiet enough you could have a conversation and no one was rowdy. Played a bunch of darts and had some beers. Exactly what a bar should be.

If you’re looking for an unpretentious neighborhood-style bar, this is it! Friendly people, and solid bar tenders, who are often the owners, awesome people. Pool tables, a dart board and a couple other games. Friday night meat raffle. Bring cash, or use their ATM.

Great place to enjoy a drink with firends. I was there driver so I drank water and enjoy food. The food was really tasty. They have gambling as well for those that like a chance to win big.

First time at this place and i love it. Looks divey on the outside but is noce and clean on the inside. They havr 4 tap beer options and mixed drinks but do not have the full range of mixers as you would expect like ginger beer. No moscow mules?!
Prices are very reasonable. $3 for a tap Hamms and $5 for a tap Two Hearted.
There are pull tabs and pool tables. They habe plenty of TVs and a touch tunes for music.

A quaint little bar off the beaten path. I had green beer and some corned beef and cabbage 🥬😋. They had green festive lights and decorations and the bartenders weren't wearing green ☘️ but they were festivus!

Yelp
The Old Clover Inn is a great pub / classic dive bar. Great atmosphere friendly people... They've got full tabs perfect bar food size like popcorn They even have an old school coffee maker if you just want to come in here and get a classic coffee and Bailey's.... Some nights I have karaoke and if you really want to get your Groupon there's room to dance We stopped in during vadna's heights days and or greeted at the door it's eclectic mix of people and feels extremely welcoming You can watch the game play pull tabs grab a quick bite to eat and have an amazing mixed drink or a classic Bud and just people watch. This place is always the perfect stop on your way to somewhere or on your way home at the end of the night.

Yelp
Pull tabs were a blast, drinks were good, fun crowd. Slight bummer it's cash only, but after growing up in VH and returning 20 years later for a family visit, it was everything I could hope for!

Yelp
It is what it is: a cheap dive bar. It's not fancy, it's not classy, and it doesn't pretend to be. It's an old school American institution that deserves a higher rating as it serves its purpose.
The bartenders are quick with a drink too, which I can respect.

Yelp

Yelp
We will not be stopping here again.... as soon as we walked in we where greeted with an AWFUL smell and a rude bartender, there's was about 4 other people there not including the bartender, my friends and I ordered our over priced drinks and left right after, as we where outside we heard other customers complaining about the overpriced sandwiches that where just hot ham and cheese. Not the best place to stop and have fun.

Yelp
Stopped in for a beer and that is about all this place has to offer. Maybe 3 stars if you were a local. There were about 8 people in the bar for happy hour and when the liquor raffle was over everyone took off. No food other than Heggie's pizza ($12 for a large). It needs to offer more in order for me to go back. Too many other dive bars with ambiance and a unique food item to waste another night out for mediocrity.

Yelp
Service was almost non-existent, especially away from the bar. Incredible amounts of very loud swearing. Zero beer selection. And food was terrible. Other than that, just poor atmosphere.

Yelp
This is a great, local dive bar. We're talking cribbage tournaments seasonally, a pool table, the whole bit. Well worth checking out if you're looking for local color.

Yelp
Very cozy little dive bar! Wonderful service, cheap drinks. DJ Clarkety Clark is here hosting an 80s party. Really a nice welcoming little place!
