Old Entrance B 'n B Cabins & Trail Rides

We did the 1 hour trail ride as a family with 10 and 12 year old boys. The horses were wonderful with the boys who are inexperienced riders. And the river trail and trail up the bluffs were beautiful. The trail leaders were friendly, instructive, helpful, and organized. We are so glad we found this as part of our time in Jasper.

Old Entrance is a beautiful piece of Alberta. The river vistas are stunning. Washrooms with hot water, showers, toilets, are clean and well maintained. Mary is a wonderful host. We'll be back!

3 years in a row we have stayed at Old Entrance B 'n B Cabins & Teepees...and we are looking forward to this Summer as well. |Mary and her staff as well as her horses have always made our week long stay the most exciting part of the year for my Grandchildren and me.|The trail rides are amazing with some spectacular scenery that you have to experience to believe.|The accommodations are wonderful, whether it is a cabin, a teepee or the Main House (our favourite)|Don't miss the opportunity if you are in the area to at least book a trail ride...you will not regret it.

Beautiful location next to the Athabasca River. Accommodations include cabins, teepees, and a great restored historic Canadian Northern Railway Station. Rustic but comfortable, friendly, affordable, and close to Hinton and Jasper. Recommended.

I loved the ride! And our trail ride leader she was so sweet & full of life! a great place to come if ones even fully experienced it’s a great place! Recommend it

We did not stay but went horseback riding for 3 hours with Mary and Milena. A great experience. Not cheap, but definitely worth it.

We had a very bad experience with booking a group site here. We ended up having to cancel our trip as they had changed the amount of people allowed in the group at the last minute. We ended up going elsewhere where our group of 10 women were more welcome. They were also very difficult to deal with on the phone.

Will not be booking with them ever again.

I cannot express the thrills that the 4 days that me and my Grandchildren experienced while staying at Old Entrance B 'n B Cabins From the moment we arrived until the day we left, Mary and her crew (Joe, Ellie and Dave) made this so much fun for Payton (10) and Parker (6) and of course Me (63)..The trail rides were amazing....the views were spectacular. Payton and Parker are already looking forward to returning next summer..... This was a wonderful place to stay and so close to so many local attractions, and only 90 minutes from Jasper and all its splendor. I would Highly recommend bringing your children here for an experience like no other. Thank you Mary, Joe, Ellie and Dave for making lifetime memories for Payton, Parker and myself. Staying in teepee #3 was such a special part of our trip to Canada. Mary does such a great job keeping the grounds clean and well maintained. The teepee itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. The teepee is right on the river, and it is extremely peaceful and quiet. Our first trip to Canada was extra spectacular because we got to stay in a teepee - how neat is that?! We can't wait to do it again!

We really enjoyed our time here. Since it was a bit cold to tent camp, we booked the weekend in a teepee and it was the perfect compromise. It still felt like we were outdoors with nature, but we had the comfort of a bed and a wood stove. We had the hillside teepee and it was nice and secluded and you could see the river. We were visited by horses, a very friendly cat, and a curious old dog! We fell asleep to the sounds of the river and an owl. So nice! Our friends who were in a hotel in Hinton came over twice to have a campfire with us--so I think we had the better accommodations ;) The owner was also very lovely. We will most definitely be back.

I have gone three times and had a blast each time. My wife and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We found each time that staff and other visitors were very social and friendly. This year we hope to bring our children so they also can enjoy this unique experience

If there was a way for me to give Mary and Carol 10 stars, I would. We have been going to Old Entrance B&B for 5 yrs and have never been disappointed. We have stayed in the Brown cabin several times, camped in out tent once, stayed in one of their teepees once, and now we've stayed in our RV two times. Carol and Mary have opened a special place for the rest of us to share, Carol is in charge of hospitality while Mary is in charge of horses and trail rides. My wife had never been on a horse in her life, so Mary put her on Blaze. It was a perfect match in spite of the intimidating name. Mary knows how to read her clients and provide the right horse and ride suited to the rider. To say this place is a gem is an understatement; Carol and Mary, the horses roaming freely around the property, the resident greeter (Sergeant the yellow lab), Gimpy the cat, the trains across the valley and the Athabasca River all team up to make this a special place. If you are looking for a place where you can unwind, have breakfast with some wonderful people, and soak up some food for your soul, stay here. Just leave the campsite by the River open for me......
