Old Forest State Natural Area

Love the trails here! They are dog friendly, and the walking trails are nicely shaded 😊

What a beautiful urban park setting combining an excellent dog park and soft stone, tree lined, walking paths. Add paved jogging paths and you have a formula for a good time. This park has anchors of the Memphis Zoo, art center and open areas for music. ALL FREE. Plenty of parking is several large areas. Get some urban outdoor exercise. Bring the dog (on a leash in the walking park or OFF Leash in the dog park)

Loved this place, very peaceful, trails that are on pavements.and lots that are not. Lots.of trees.and shade. Pond with turtles, kids playground. Lots of open space. Shaved ice truck today.

Excellent old urban park to walk around and enjoy the outdoors! There is a main paved trail along with several gravel trails in the forest to follow. There is some signage tucked in along the trails that highlight critters you may see. Also, keep an eye out for fun mushrooms!

Nice trails of you want a quick walk off the beaten path. The Old Forest loop can be done at casual walking pace in under an hour. If you want something longer and more remote I recommend Meeman-Shelby forest.

Cute area, nice walking trails, parks and a golf course. We felt very safe, this is a lovely place to go for a nice walk.

Nice little place for a jog, but there are a ton of activities for the whole family. I believe the Memphis Zoo is close by.

Great trails in the city. Very well taken care of and 🪧 signed so no one can get lost.
