OGG has the best facility and coaching staff in the DMV. My middle school daughters play lacrosse and have been looking for strength, agility and speed training. We have tried Capstone, perfect performance, and healthy baller. These gyms were either tiny or coaching staff was mediocre. Never got any meaningful feedback, homework, development progress reports, nothing. My friend told me about Parisi speed school hosted at OGG. OGG is night and day difference. Coach Frank and Corey are legit trainers - they teach the fundamentals, work them hard, and importantly explain what the drills are for. As a bonus, the coaches are so interactive, I’ve never seen that level of personal attention before. They also teach communication skills and personal accountability, skills that we didn’t expect they’d be learning at a gym! Finally, coach Frank has raised awareness of social media and the college recruitment process and what’s involved. After each session, coach Frank would take 10-15 minutes just explaining what they did and what they need to work on. After having been through multiple training facilities/brands, the buck stops here. The gym is also a cross fit facility and I see lots of active and former law enforcement and military members training there. I live in falls church, VA, and it is a 30 minute drive one way on the 267 toll road. My girls train twice a week - but despite the the distance and toll costs - so so worth it. I hope and pray that the coaches stay with OGG for 5 more years!

I was able to visit this gym because they are hosting the Tactical Strength Challenge in October. What a nice gym! They have the latest in equipment and everything was very neat and clean. They had plenty of space for everyone and giant fans to keep everyone cool. A really nice looking place!

Dropped in at Old Glory while in town for work. Facilities are great, from the large lobby to the very well setup workout space. Coaching was solid and very proactively talked with me about working into their current lifting cycle or taking an alternative route as they were at a pretty heavy stage in the cycle. All in a solid gym, with great staff. Would definitely drop in again, and could easily call this gym home if I lived in the area.

10 year Crossfitter (on and off). I used to be moderately fast and pretty strong. Now I'm moderately strong and slow AF. Dropped in with my pretty amazing wife to see what these maniacs are up to at this gym. I can't speak to the wider community from one class, but the staff and athletes we met were kind, encouraging, and competent. Other aspects are ranked as follows: 9.5/10 Overall 10/10 Lobby aesthetic, cleanliness, and character 10/10 Merch, healthy drinks, and healthy snacks 10/10 Clean bathrooms (with showers!) 10/10 Staff welcome/engagement 10/10 Equipment 10/10 Equipment organization 10/10 Gym space 8/10 Spatial flow (was being shared with other activities) 10/10 WOD brief technology 10/10 Coaching competency 10/10 Coaching cues 10/10 Coaching "touches" 10/10 Coaching - modeling movement points of performance 10/10 Coach banter 8.5/10 Coaching assertiveness on scaling/form 8.5/10 Warm up (flow could have been more intentional) 10/10 Strength session (build to heaviest set of 3 deadlifts) 10/10 Metcon (21-15-9 power cleans/ring dips 10min cap) 10/10 Time Management 10/10 Athlete camaraderie/encouragement 7/10 Gym etiquette (coach and athlete dropped barbells from shin height - how dare you, sirs!?)(not a big deal, just picking because it hurts my soul...maybe I was a barbell in a previous life) 10/10 No weird smells (besides me) 10/10 Owner 10/10 No pushy sales pitches 10/10 Staff belief/buy-in in gym offerings 8/10 The blood they make you drink from the skull was a bit cold (Crossfit Cult inititiation - standard at every gym)(kidding)(probably)(no, seriously joking)(or am I?)

Was in town for family and needed a gym to do my workout that’s focused on good form and strength training. I feel like I hit the jackpot and found an extremely nice place, with expert trainers, and most importantly a safe space for a woman to do a workout! Ready to workout here the rest of my stay and will definitely come back to workout here again on my next stay in NoVA.

I was in the area traveling from Louisiana and was looking for a gym to get a workout in. Old Glory wasn’t far from my hotel. Signed up for a drop in. The place was super clean. Very well kept and organized. The coach was very friendly, explained the workout clearly, and was very knowledgeable. Got a great workout in!

Yelp
What an incredible place. I have been working out here since the middle of the pandemic and only wish I had joined sooner! First, OGG made me feel incredibly comfortable and safe throughout the pandemic. They clean extensively, social distanced, etc. Second, the coaches are very approachable and dedicated to their craft. Not only are they experts, but they will go out of their way to help every person from the most experienced to the newest athlete. I also really love the variety of programming they offer from your standard Crossfit-style workout, to functional training to a running program and much more. Lastly, the clientele is phenomenal. Everyone is really chill and friendly, and will encourage you as you both sweat through a workout. I highly recommend this amazing gym and cannot say enough great things about it!

Yelp
The staff at OGG make a personal commitment to ensure athletes get the workout they came for. They take crossfit to another level. Staff is experienced, certified and walk the talk. Workouts vary daily and are not routine. This is not a box for those who are looking for a clique nor vanity. Everyone is family and there to push you to the next level. Looking to challenge yourself and/or get an awesome crossfit workout, stop in at Old Glory Gym...

Yelp
Read the fine print I signed my son and his girlfriend up to get in shape before he left for bootcamp. After cancelling I was surprised to get another charge for $300 on my credit card. It turns out that, in addition to the $270 first month, there is an additional $150 "cancellation fee". Not only that, they require 30 days written notice in order to cancel. You should know before you sign up that you are committing to a minimum $420, even if you only do one month, or one day. And that is only if you actually given them written notice that you want to cancel on the same day you start. Otherwise you owe for a whole additional month, which really makes it a $550 commitment. Luckily for me they agreed to waive the 30 days written notice since I told them up front that he was heading off to bootcamp. I can't imagine what the business justification is for needing to charge a $150 cancellation fee, or why they need 30 days written notice. This seems like simply a way to gouge customers. My son did say the trainers were good though.

Yelp
Having lost over 100 pounds, but struggling to get to the healthy, fit me I knew I could be, I took a chance and grabbed a friend to enroll in Old Glory Gym's "New You Challenge." Owner and Coach Jason was someone I instantly "clicked" with, and knew that I was in for a radically different "gym" experience than I'd ever faced. That was 8 months ago. At Old Glory Gym, I found my tribe - women, and men, in all shapes and sizes, genuinely welcoming me into their community. I found coaches who were the perfect mix of knowledgeable, support and humor. I found a rigorous and challenging experience in CrossFit, where I learned how to be the athlete I always knew I could be. I learned new ways of eating that would help me get to a healthy weight, and continue to tone up the areas that need work.

Yelp
Dropped in today to do my workout and they were very welcoming. Jason is cool peeps. If you are in the area definitely check out Old Glory!!!

Yelp
Excellent coaches and athletes are equally as supportive. The best gym in this area- they offer a variety of classes so your training is well rounded, from running club to barbell to kettlebell and endurance classes. Jason, the owner, is passionate and takes great care of his coaches and athletes. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I have been on a mission to find a gym (and exercise) that I truly like with a really good group of people. I have found that at Old Glory Gym. Gym is extremely clean. Coaches are absolutely wonderful the way they take the time with you to make sure your form is correct and your goals are reached. And the members? Very supportive. I think I have found the place where I can finally reach my goals!

Yelp
I went here with a band as a makeup artist as they were shooting a music video at the location. When I walked in i was extremely impressed by how clean the gym was. It has been open that morning but there wasn't a single piece of equipment or for that matter anything out of place. The backroom had an area for children, with tons of toys and a little table, which to me was probably the coolest part because I have never been to a gym that is so kid friendly. The bathroom was also immaculate, also kid friendly with a little stool for children who need to wash their hands. The owner I believe his name is James? was extremely very nice, and we struck up a very interesting conversation about West Virginia and our families. (I went to school there). I myself do not do CrossFit but based on the fantastic condition of the gym, and friendliness of the owner I would most definitely recommend it to anyone in the area who is looking a CrossFit gym.

Yelp
After researching several gyms in the Ashburn/Sterling area, I called Old Glory Gym, and Jason, the owner, promptly returned my call. He was energetic, informative, and passionate about CrossFit and Old Glory. We agreed on a date to take a tour. After the meet/greet, informative tour, I signed up for the foundations class, and thus began my journey with CrossFit. My impressions: OGG is clean. Really clean for a gym, which my type A personality appreciates. The trainers are absolutely first class. As a newbie to CrossFit, they were quick to help me with scaling movements to my comfort level, any questions that arose during a workout, helping me to feel safe, while sweating my ass off. The community is another great aspect of OGG. I felt supported, positive vibes, a real sense of comradely. Check it out. If you're brand new to CrossFit, or looking to find a place to help reach your next level of fitness. I believe Old Glory Gym can help you achieve your personal best.

Yelp
Old Glory Gym is more than just a crossfit box, it is a community. Fantastic facility with tons of weights, great coaching and variety of programming, and an awesome group of members. Old Glory has everything from moms and dads looking to get in better shape to athletes who race and compete in marathons/Oly lifting etc. The membership is very varied but also very welcoming of new members especially those who have never done Crossfit before. There is the standard Crossfit programming, the kettlebell classes, foundry olympic lifting classes and very generous open gym hours. If you were ever thinking about giving Crossfit a try but were too intimidated to give it a go, Old Glory is the place for you to check out.

Yelp
Whatever negative things you may have heard about Crossfit, throw them out and join this gym! I joined in July of 2016 and didn't even know it was a Crossfit gym. The coaches here are all about individuality and ensuring that each person is performing a movement correctly. They push us to our fullest potential, but always with the emphasis on correct form and safety. So I've loved my transformation while I have been here and am awed by the ability to do things that I never thought I could. However, what keeps me here is actually the feeling of community that the owner, Jason Sturm, has created. You can walk into a mega-gym like I did for years and years and never have a staff member that you've seen 100s of times call you by your name. Here, you feel like family. Every coach knows you by name and there are so many varied options for anyone at any fitness level. The gym is clean and seems to always have a new 'toy' for us to play with. I come here for the workout, to get stronger and fitter, but I stay here for the family that I've come to know and love!

Yelp
Easily one of the best CrossFit gyms in the area! The owner, Jason, is very passionate about his business and truly cares about the people that come in. The programming is top notch and the coaching staff is amazing. You truly feel welcomed at this gym regardless of age or ability. Some of the amenities here include: practicing chiropractor onsite, child care, Territory Food and Might Meals pick up, showers, large class sizes, and store and merchandise available. I truly love this gym and recommend it to anyone considering CrossFit.

Yelp
Officially today, I've been a member of Old Glory Gym for 3 months. I primarily attend the Foundry Barbell Club (the Olympic weightlifting group) and occasionally a couple crossfit classes a week for general conditioning. Just general information: the gym is kept extremely clean; equipment is well maintained and available. In terms of Oly equipment, competition plates are available (Kg and Lbs---in addition to training bumpers), very nice bearing-collard barbells with lots of spin (some center gnurlinged), and wooden lifting platforms. The classes are well organized in terms of space and equipment. All of the coaches I have had (the barbell club alone has 3 coaches that worked together on the programming) are extremely knowledgeable and they demand safety-first (sloppy reps and form are discouraged and they have scaling options at the ready). From my first day, I've been treated like a life long member. The owner and coaching staff were immediately on a first name bases with me. Beyond exchanging pleasantries, the coaches seem genuinely interested in everyone's progress providing one-on-one coaching, concerns of day-to-day recovery, and legitimate excitement when you make a PR. And that enthusiasm and expertise has already shown in the significant progress I've made. The membership is extremely varied from levels of experience, which provides an encouraging environment and general camaraderie...everyone is there to help and learn from each other. Gym days at OGG are days that I look forward to!
