The 28 Best Restaurants in Prague, Czech Republic | Eater

"Largely due to historic communist ties, Czechia has a huge Vietnamese population, who make up the country’s largest minority apart from Ukrainians and Slovaks. Banh mi, pho, and bun cha are readily available in the city, though few do it better than Old Hanoi. Don’t let the restaurant’s location beside a large shopping mall fool you. Stroll in to see a large dining room adorned with vintage Vietnamese street signs and a three-wheeled rickshaw in the entranceway. The highlight is the supremely clear pho broth, topped with especially aromatic herbs and served with sliced garlic and chile on the side." - Dan Clapson

It’s a very solid good restaurant for a weekday lunch . I definitely recommend I the home made ice tea. We often come here with my colleagues. The fried rice and the pad thai portions are small. The other menu items are usually have bigger portions.

As an Asian that have had authentic Vietnamese food in Vietnam and various other Vietnamese populated cities (LA, Houston, Paris, Vancouver, etc), choosing a Vietnamese restaurant while vacationing in Prague should had been the wrong choice. But did I regret the decision ? Absolutely not. What a pleasant surprise this was. From the decor, to the service, and the food. This is probably the best Vietnamese restaurant experience I’ve had. And to stumble onto this gem just few minutes away from our hotel was a surprising treat.

Located just few steps away from old town and shopping centre. A pretty well decorated Vietnamese restaurant with wide menu selection, the which also Vegan vegetarian friendly. Foods were delicious and the Vietnamese coffee also tastes good. The place can be really busy but it has some spacious seating.

Tucked away around the corner, you will find Old Hanoi. It is a cozy place, with lots of seating area. Friendly staff provide a welcoming experience. The food was pretty amazing, great taste and good portion size. All together, no complaints and definitely a recommendation!

Careless staffs i told them make a Asian style no sweet because I came from Asia I liked spicy but still make sweet flavour. I specifically remind twice not one time . That mean Careless staffs not good for business and owner as well .

Really decent food. Mostly Vietnamese with some Thai. The fried spring rolls and steamed dumplings were bestifily executed. The crispy duck was very good and the noodle dishes were nice. Service was ok. Nice atmosphere. I would come back.

We’ve been to here for dinner plenty times but they’ve kept changing the menu and probably the cooks so it’s no longer my favorite bistro. We gave it a chance and hopefully we might get a quality better dishes as we got before… However they serve all the dishes with too many Paprikas what I didn’t expect for Vietnamese food and more the beef tripe was poorly prepared, had a noticeable odor and was overcooked which effected the taste. The dish was supposed to be rare beef shank with lime, but it wasn’t beef shank at all. The meet was cut into tiny scraps. If I have to give a solid, I’d give them 2 stars in common.

We had a lunch experience here under the recommendation of a friend. We came back the next day because the food was nice and the location very convenient. We had the Beef Pho in a stone bowl, a little bland compared to the traditional Beef Pho but a little fish sauce can make a nice difference. The traditional Beef Pho was with good flavors. We also had dishes like Vietnamese clam soup, jelly fish salad, shaking beef, stir fried squid with vegetables, roasted duck, Hanoi Beef Pho. All were done with the flavors we were expecting. For dessert, we had lovely fermented black sticky rice with yoghurt. Portions are reasonable. The restaurant is designed in a way that recreates Hanoi's atmosphere. Inside the restaurant, there are details such as electric poles and wires, as well as familiar street names like Hàng Bông, Lý Nam Đế, and Tràng Tiền, etc. The whole space truly evokes the spirit of Hanoi, offering Vietnamese people abroad a nostalgic taste of home, while also giving customers a glimpse into the charm of Hanoi and Vietnam.
