Old Hickory Steakhouse Review - National Harbor - Washington DC - The Infatuation

"The Harbor was seriously lacking in the steakhouse department, but Old Hickory Steakhouse solved that problem. Mainly because of the bison steak, which is one of the juiciest cuts we’ve ever had. It’s inside the Gaylord hotel and like everything there, the space is big and over-the-top, making it perfect for a fancy dinner on the corporate card after a long day of meetings. The restaurant is usually full of hotel guests, especially if there’s a conference happening, but there are four dining rooms, including one that’s waterfront-adjacent, which is beautiful at sunset. Impeccable service and lovely atmosphere. This hotel is amazing. The restaurant was even better. My prime dry aged ribeye was easily one of the best steaks I ever had. Utterly buttery and melted in my mouth. Roasted Brussel sprouts very tasty. The presentation and taste of the lobster bisque second to none. Jason was an amazing waiter. Crab cakes were awesome too. Splurge and go. Then take a walk around this lovely hotel.

Peter was very polite and helpful in making our cheese selection, and also helping us to NOT over order since this was our first visit. He explained everything for us. He was very professional and very pleasant. He is an asset to your organization. I understand this is an upscale place, and the food was excellent, but the New York Strip was way overpriced. I've been to just as upscale places and gotten a 2 lb. Porterhouse for the same price you charged for the 14 oz. New York Strip Steak.

My husband made reservations here for our anniversary, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. We were seated right on time, and the service was exceptional. Our waiter was not only attentive but also offered excellent recommendations that made our dining experience even more special. The food was absolutely phenomenal—some of the best we’ve ever had. As an added touch, the staff signed a thoughtful card for us, and we were treated to a complimentary dessert, which was such a kind and memorable gesture. The atmosphere at Opryland is stunning, and even the restrooms were spotless. While it is on the pricier side, the experience is well worth it. This will definitely be a must-visit spot for us whenever we're in Nashville.

Addison & his beverage service gentleman provided outstanding service and made our special day amazing. Thank you to the Chef for rushing my son's order out due to his performance schedule. Clayton also came by and was helpful. Also shoutout to The Library bartenders for continuing with the great service & drinks we received later that evening. Thank you again.

We had a wonderful business dinner at the Old Hickory Steakhouse. It was definitely something I’ll remember. The Christmas lights added a really nice ambiance. My New York Strip steak was perfect and the side dishes were really good. We ordered a couple desserts and they were fabulous. If you’re sitting “outside” they do have bathrooms that are accessible out there which are very nice. It was an expensive dinner, but we were looking for something special as this was our team dinner.

We had eaten here before 2 years ago. This visit was dramatically better. The food was much improved. Our server Peter was first class. He is very personable and entertaining and an excellent server. We went when it was 20° outside so be sure and dress warm if it's very cold outside as the restaurant is under the beautiful glass top. We could see the Christmas light show in the Delta section from where we were seated.

I've been here a few times and the service is always great, we sat at the bar which is called the library. I had a smoked old fashion which was fantastic and the strawberry rhubarb crisp had lots of flavor and strawberries and was delicious.

Our group of six adults thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. We were in no rush and appreciated the leisurely experience. Not once over the 3+ hours did we feel rushed. From selecting our bottles of wine, appetizers, main courses, and desserts and coffee the meal was perfectly paced. The menu is a la carte and the sides were large enough for our table to share. Every bite was divine. And let me tell you about our server, Wayne. What a treat! He was kind, helpful, comedic, and simply a joy to be served by. Quite possibly the best server we’ve ever had anywhere. The atmosphere is magical. Our meal began beneath the blue skies of the Delta atrium roof surrounded by the luscious greenery and ended beneath the twinkling lights and “stars” of the night sky.

Yelp
Can you believe it? A five star review for an in-hotel restaurant? Well, believe it. Now, I'll admit to not having tried any entrée tonight. I simply tried two appetizers and two salads. But every bite was positively delectable. I was on a budget, both monetary and dietary, and therefore didn't get to experience the full splendor of this menu. But the beet Burrata salad, the French onion appetizer, and the charred peppers on the appetizer list were fantastic. So much so that I think I will dine here each night of my stay, despite its $$$. The menu seems to lean towards Spanish, the service was fine, and the ambience... Well... Let's just say you're in the middle of a Gaylord. But the food honestly can't be beat.

Yelp
My husband and I arrived a smidge early to our reservation so we found a seat at the bar. We both enjoyed a very nice glass of wine while we waited for our table time. Once we were seated, we started our meal with the Pork Belly appetizer. These are served with a mouthwatering maple bourbon sauce. It's the perfect accompaniment to the salty pork belly! My husband had the steak and mashed potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked and absolutely divine. The potatoes were silky and well seasoned. I had the crab cakes. They were amazing. No shell found in either and a generous serving! The corn succotash was a brilliant addition. I absolutely loved these. It was the perfect romantic date night to celebrate Valentine's Day a little early. While I wouldn't take our children with us, it was most definitely a nice evening out. Given the overall pricing of restaurants at the Gaylord, Old Hickory is well worth the pricing on the menu. Our server was also impeccable!

Yelp
Despite a reservation, we were seated in a corner. Food is okay, ambience is nice given the setting of the hotel. The servers are very nice & professional

Yelp
The boasted best restaurant in Opryland. Ambiance was great in the bar and library waiting area. It wasn't too cold despite it being winter. Had romantic soft lighting...but also hard to see how well your steak is cooked. I usually order mine medium well and it was undercooked as a rare medium to medium. My expectations are probably too high...but from a prestigious steak house where I pay 80-100$ per steak I expect impeccable service and cook. There weren't very many servers, ours didn't come by for a while so I couldn't send the steak back. In fact, I had to walk back to the bar to get my own cocktail after I set my empty glass at the side of the table for over 15 mins. Our server informed me when I got back that he could have gotten me a drink...yeah, I know...but you never came by... We went all out and got Brussels, macaroni and cheese, and mushrooms for sides. The best part of the meal was the Brussels. Husband got the Wagyu steak and I don't think it was worth the 100$ price tag. We've had wagyu steak at korean bbq that were better quality. Overall...I wouldn't dine here again for the price and service. Have had better steak at cheaper places. Honestly...by the end of the meal I was so disappointed I just wanted to leave. Packed our steaks to go but they didn't really taste any better the next day...aged old ribeye was the correct description at least.

Yelp
I have eaten there several times and it has always been really nice it has totally gone downhill the service was the worst I've ever had in my life I had guests in town the bread that they used to bring out you don't get that anymore the service was just horrendous he was so incredibly rude we will never go back and it was really hot I hate leaving a one star but it was terrible terrible terrible service you'd be much better off saving hundreds of dollars and going downstairs and getting a pizza

Yelp
We were so let down by this place. We stayed at the Gaylord and after a full day of activities didn't want to leave the hotel for a romantic date night. We searched the app and found the Old Hickory Steakhouse marked as a wonderful rated place with multiple dollar signs. Yolo, right? We came in without reservations and were told it was first come first serve in the bar area. The tables all have a reserve sign which the waiter says if you are ordering food you could sit out. So we settled in for a special treat. The menu is very limited with appetizers, steaks and sides all ala cart style. We ordered a Cesar salad, Ribeye, and bake potato. We also ordered drinks which were o-k but not the bee's knees. I asked for a egg white vodka or whiskey based drink bartenders/waiters choice and was give a margarita with tequila... Our salad was presented nicely but overly sour to the taste. There was no bread or sides provided from restaurant while you waited. We then got our Steak, under done and mostly it was all bone and FAT. Was such a disappointment. I remember conversing with my date that steaks from wal-mart with salt and pepper were better then this 75 dollar steak they just served us. The only thing that seemed edible was the meat near the bone and since I was starving, I was chewing on the bone to try to get some iron out of it. Our bake potato was a joke. The skin was inedible. If you are paying that much for a baked potato you would think it would be soft and fluffy inside, already scooped out and loaded mix back in. You'd assume the skin would be seasoned with olive oil and baked light and crispy so people could actually eat it. Needless to say, I would not recommend this steakhouse to anyone. The prices are out of this world for the value *(if any) that you would receive here. We ended up going to other place after this for food and desert. What a waste of money.

Yelp
The food quality was improved over our visit two years ago. Peter our server was quick kind and full of wonderful anecdotes. The setting of course is absolutely stunning. Will visit here again!

Yelp
I booked this steakhouse for A's actual birthday dinner. We had tickets to the Grand Ole Opry and this was a good place to eat as it was near the venue. When I booked it, I didn't fully realize it was in the Gaylord Opry Resort. And when we realized it was in the resort, we didn't think the resort was massive. You could book a trip to Nashville and stay at the Opry Resort Land and never leave. It has everything you want: restaurants, shops, arcades, pools, entertainment. When we walked in, we were amazed by how large it was and it like an indoor garden basically, with a waterfall and koi pond. It was like a Japanese garden. Really gorgeous. The restaurant itself was inside more and we almost got lost trying to find it. We eventually found it and we were a few minutes late but it was ok. We had an early dinner reservation so it wasn't too crowded yet. Our waiter was super nice and welcoming. I also forgot his name (Paul, or Bob, or Richard, but he was from Boston, that I do remember). We chose not to eat too much because we had eaten our weight in food the night before. So we didn't get any appetizers. We went straight to entrees. I got the lamb rack and A got the NY Strip (I think). I haven't had rack of lamb before so it was a real experience. I always see it on MasterChef so I wanted to finally try it. It was a little hard to eat because there was a lot of knife work involved but it was cooked perfectly. It had to perfect pink center, seasoned well. A really liked his NY Strip. It's also something he doesn't eat often so he inhaled his. Dessert, we got chocolate cake that was decadent AF. It was this rich chocolate cake that was a bit much for me but we finished it and it was glorious. The overall experience was excellent and if you have a chance to get out to the resort, try this restaurant. It's pricey, but worth it.

Yelp
Came here by myself after a weekend music thing and had a great time. I was seated at a nice table outside in the atrium, next to a pretty fountain. The service was perfect - thank you Nicholas! I have a thing for steak tartare, but am pretty picky about it and I asked a lot of questions. It was delicious! It was a rough hand cut, which was nice, and instead of egg yolk as a binder, they used a garlic aioli, which really is genius, as egg yolk always seemed to me to feel heavy. It also did not have the signature capers/pickles, which were not missed. The flavor of the wagyu beef was allowed to shine and just be enhanced by the garlic aioli. It was also served in a marrow bone with tiny edible flowers - Just lovely. The serving was small, which was fine, because I never really cared for the giant mound of beef that is typical and never appropriate for an appetizer for one. It was served with nice toasted slices of baguette and when I needed more, a lot more magically came! I paired it with a lobster tail for a little "surf and turf for the light eater" action and was glad I did. The lobster was cook just right. I started with the Cesar salad, which is huge and they even put a couple of anchovies on it for me. When reading the menu on line before I came, I had feared that this might be a stodgy place. Not true. The flavors are fresh and the atmosphere is lovely. OH, and the honey creme brulee is TO DIE FOR!

Yelp
We came before a Grand Ole Opry show for our anniversary and could not have had a better experience. We were taken care of by Nicolas who made sure our food was out with plenty of time to get to our show, made great recommendations, and went above and beyond to make our anniversary celebrated and personal. The food was absolutely delicious to top it off. I could not recommend Old Hickory Steakhouse more especially before a show

Yelp
We came to Old Hickory for our last night stay at the Gaylord. I am glad we did. This steakhouse did fantastic job from beginning to end. Just a short walk from our room, we arrived a little early and waited for just a few minutes until we were seated right on time of our reservations. It was unfortunate that the hotel had an outside event going on with lots of loud and boomy music. Outside of that, the experience was PEFECT. We were greeted in seconds by our waiters helper and given water and incredibly delicious selection of rolls and flatbread. The waiter came by next and greeted us and proudly (yes proudly) explained the menu. Everything sounded so good. My wife and I new we were sharing the steak so we went with the Prime Porterhouse. We started with the Onion Soup and I had the Lobster Bisque. (FYI.... THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD.) My wife loved the beefy-brothy hearty Onion Soup. Main meal of the Prime Porterhouse was outstanding! Perfectly cooked, tasty and juicy. Was there any fat on this at all? It was good, I mean really really good. We also loved the string bean almondine, and the potato wedges were excellent. The large Porterhouse was perfect to share. I am sorry that we did not save any room for dessert. They did look great. I really recommend this restaurant. The overall atmosphere, service, food, enthusiasm in the air was delightful to experience. Thank you to our wonderful servers and staff here that helped make this a wonderful evening.

Yelp
Peter, mark and the gentleman from Egypt were fantastic, kind and actually had conversations with us when we asked them questions. Food was phenomenal and couldn't ask for better food. The setting was perfect! Loved the delta section where the restaurant was. We definitely would come back and stay in the delta section so we can be close to the restaurant.

Yelp
I made a reservation a month in advance. Once we arrived for our stay at the Opryland hotel, I realized that my family with young kids was not the target customer for this restaurant. So I stopped by the host stand 2 hours before our reservation and canceled it. The host did not mention a cancellation fee. The next day, a $100 charge from Opryland/Old Hickory was charged to my credit card. I'm a loyal Marriott Elite member, but superfluous charges like this make me think twice about staying with Marriott.

Justin N.

Yelp
Old Hickory is one of my favorite places to have a steak. First of all the ambience in the Gaylord Opryland Resort is amazing, indoor tropical rainforest with water features. Their charcuterie experts are second to none and delicious cheeses from all over the world. Amazing steaks and great service !!! I must try

Roma C.

Yelp
My daughter and I decided to have dinner at the Old Hickory at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center. The ambiance is so beautiful and the service 10 out of 10. However what was exquisite was the food. I had the roasted chicken and my daughter the crab cakes. Chicken was so tender and the crab cakes seasoned perfectly. We had a wonderful experience.

Yelp
The restaurant is located inside the Gaylord, where I happened to be staying for a conference attended by about 4K other people. I learned later that there were 2 other conferences also scheduled there. Congrats Marriot, you are doing well! I have already posted my review of the Nashville Gaylord, and do not intend to let that major disappointment apply to this post. Our arrival to check in there was about a 2 hours late. Our reservation to the Old Hickory required a credit card guarantee. When we finally arrived about 2 1/5 hours late the hostess was very nice and said we would not be charged a late arrival fee as several others had similar issues. Unfortunately the waiter we had was not as kind. Our food selections were mediocre at best. My wife sent most of her's back. I had the waygu kentucky fillet, and my wife had the crab cakes. Neither was something you would want to order again, but i will not be going to the Nashville Gaylord again...ever!

Yelp
Me and my wife were married there in the restaurant 22 years ago. The only people who have ever been married at the restaurant. We've been coming back as many years as we could to celebrate. We love the restaurant.
google avatar

Bill K.

Yelp
They demand punctuality. It was noisy, so that's a negative as far as "ambiance", goes. The server was a veteran, but interrupted us mid-sentence several times. Food was very good. Overall 3 1/2 stars.
google avatar

Markee M.

Yelp
Food and Service were superb! For a person that was visiting the city it's a must. The Ambiance was amazing. Will definitely be revisiting.
google avatar

Yelp
I've always been a little hesitant with resort steakhouses, but Old Hickory put those to shame. We had an early reservation at the end of our conference in the resort... unfortunately the last session ended an hour after the original posted end time. Needless to say one of my fellow attendees waited at our table for that entire time until the rest of us could show up. Tony took absolute care of all of us despite our tardiness. He wasn't in a rush which put us at ease. All of us started with a light cocktail before digging into passed appetizers. He is a great wine som! We all selected beef for our main entrees and got us to buy the liter of a really AMAZING red wine. It says something if I, not a huge fan of drinking red wine, can drink a few glasses of this and enjoy it. Our fave shared side dish was the crab Mac n cheese and we all loved our beef entrees (one with marrow butter, regret not ordering that myself for mine). Tony got us the biggest slice of chocolate cake to enjoy with the wine because he liked us so much. It was the cherry on top of all the meals we ate during our Nashville conference.
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
Ate at this spot the first night in town. It was a very beautiful spot with great service. We were able to sit at the bar and be seated immediately. I ordered the Mac n cheese and wedge salad. The Mac n cheese was amazing! It was creamy and cheesey just like a good Mac should be. The wedge salad was fresh and tasted great. No complaints. The prices are on the higher side but service and ambiance was great. Would definitely eat here again!

Chris N.

Yelp
Great food and excellent service, as always. My wife and I went here for an anniversary dinner and the experience did not disappoint!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food and service this evening! Waiter was great, food on point and drinks phenomenal!

Chuck S.

Yelp
I was traveling from out of town and was delayed in traffic and called to cancel my reservation seven hours in advance. However, they charge me $50 even though I gave them well enough time to fill the reservation. Sad they need money that bad I will never return
google avatar

GiGi D.

Yelp
While the ambiance was stunning and the staff friendly, the food, in my opinion, did not blow me away. It was fine, satisfied my hunger and my requests were attended to (which I very much appreciate) but there was just something missing. I actually had to ask for olive oil in order to give my food some flavor and "lubrication" in order to get it down. There were some bites of my salmon that were great and other bites that made me go "hmmmm". And the swordfish, it was cooked a bit too much. My dining companion loved the carrots and mushrooms though! And I have a feeling the steaks here are delicious so I'd still recommend you try it out for yourself.
google avatar

Anthony F.

Yelp
Went here for an event and the service and food was great. We had starters such as shrimp, crab cake and the bacon. All were delicious. The bread was great. The steak was cooked to temperature for our table of 10+ and also the sides were great. We got the mushrooms, wedges and asparagus. I would recommend this place if u like the location and don't mind over paying for it. It is a tad on the overpriced side. But the decor and setting is great as well as the building and everything else is very on theme. If that's your thing.

Recondo A.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere with outdoor seating under the doom. Wonderful black Angus steak and very tasty potato leak soup. Asparagus was great but stay away from cold baked potatoes. Really good waiters will take care of you if there is a slightest problem.
google avatar

Stan M.

Yelp
Here for a convention we decided to stop here our first night. I ordered the NY Strip, medium rare. It was cooked perfectly. I ordered a side of Chimichurri it was just ok with a vinegar base, caught me off guard on the first bite. For the table we shared Lobster Mac & Cheese ($38), great mashed potatoes, tasted no lobster. The waitress recommended the cream corn and that was delicious. We had 4 people in our group and the 2 sides was enough. They also start you off with complimentary bread and butter.
google avatar

Jeffrey R.

Yelp
Our favorite place for drinks and one of the most reliably delicious lobster bisque and steaks in town. The service is first class and the ambience is the best.
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
I was staying at the Gaylord Opry for a conference with colleagues, and we arrived later than anticipated on our first day. We did not have a reservation, however the hostess found us a table after initially having to turn us away. The atmosphere in the restaurant was incredible, and the food was some of the best I've had. We were given plenty of time to eat and relax, we were never rushed, and our server gave us a free desert. Eating at the Old Hickory Steakhouse is more than a meal - its an experience.

Briana W.

Yelp
This is a high quality establishment in a fine hotel You will find tremendous service, great atmosphere and a friendly staff. Any steak is great. I tried the Sirloin and the husband had the T-bone. Both were cooked to order. Loved the mushrooms and had a great salad. I have eaten there many times. Just a great experience! Highly recommended.

Carol H.

Yelp
The service was great. Tony was attentive and prompt. The food was good but pricey. I would not recommend the chicken due to the sauce the chicken is served on. It was not tasteful to me. The steak was moist and flavorful.

Jingwen M.

Yelp
The service went above and beyond. It made our dinning experience enjoyable. I love their ribs and cocktail shrimps. Recommended.
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
I do consider myself a food snob, but Old Hickory, whether in Florida or Nashville, has never disappointed me. As a party of one this business trip, I was treated with the utmost respect and the food was beyond compare. I highly recommend!
google avatar

Aimée B.

Yelp
I wish I had taken pictures of how perfect my steak was. OMG! Let me back up with the appetizer. I was with a party of 3 and we decided on the 3 cheese platter. I wish I could remember the names of all the cheeses, but Barely Buzzed was my favorite. The cheeses were served with local honey, pinot strawberry jam, chocolate hazelnut dust, crackers, grapes, and pistachios. If you get the Barely Buzzed, put some of the chocolate hazelnut dust on it. It will taste like creamy hazelnut coffee. For my main course, I had the 7oz. Filet Mignon cooked rare. Now when I tell you that to get a rare steak is rare, it's not a joke. Especially as a woman. Most servers will have it cooked medium rare because they think you don't know what it is that you want. Our server complimented me on my choice of temperature and it was divine! I can't tell you how easily it cut and the taste was magnificent. For sides, we chose mushrooms and asparagus. I have to admit that I was not a fan of the asparagus as it had melted cheese on it and I tend to like something lighter. However, the shitake mushrooms were perfectly cooked. My only real complaint is that I didn't have room for dessert.

Yelp
Been here twice on our trips to Nashville so this review is everything we've had. We ate in the Library (its bar) the first time we were there. Enjoy the review: -Ms. Scarlet drink...yes yes yes! Sweet vodka based. -Crab cake...ONE. Small. -Pear salad...flavor was good, just a little small -Wedge...great portion unlike alot of things here. Dressing is drinkable. -Lamb chops...good flavor, cooked to the right temp but welcome to this theme-small portion for $50. The above was our first stop. I'm glad we went back. Trip #2 was better. Still pricey but this time we got our bang for our buck. -Wedge again because we knew it was a good portion size -French onion soup...normal size and out of this world -Split the cowgirl prime ribeye...16 ounce, bone in but they offered to cut it off for you. Good temp, minimal flavor profile so add your choice of one of their sauces. We had the creamy horseradish and it was a good match. $80 which was fine because we split and both ended up full. Nick and Mohamad took care of us; they were excellent. Very attentive, got us out when we said we needed to be to the grand ole opry, answered all of our questions with great accuracy. If you have some extra cash, try this place out.

Yelp
Best filet ever. We arrived at 5 and the soonest reservation we could get was 8 but some folks didn't show and they slipped us in at 7:30. It was 100 degrees outside but Opryland resort remained pleasant. We found the coolest temperature (68 or 69-ish) in the falls bar where we listened to live music while waiting for our reservation at Old hickory. Old hickory felt about 6 or 8 degrees warmer but still nowhere near the heat of outside. It was a beautiful venue with spectacular food and they validate your valet parking.
google avatar

Gwen R.

Yelp
Food was good but service was extremely slow. Nearly three hours for table of two and they initially charged for my birthday dessert. Manager was great and she corrected the error.

Michele S.

Yelp
We started in the Library lounge for a drink, great service there. They came to get us and seated us at a romantic spot. Our service was impeccable-Food was fantastic-we highly recommend Also, if it's a special occasion for you, they will bring you free dessert

Yelp
The ambiance of this restaurant is very nice. We got an "outside" table with a lovely view of the courtyard. Our waiter was excellent. It a pity the very very overpriced food wasn't good. I just had water to drink. That tasted like chemicals. My $53 steak was dry and peppery, and otherwise tasteless. The asparagus tasted like onions. The wedge salad had dill mixed into the blue cheese which ruined the salad for me. The wedge potato that I tasted was excellent. But one thin wedge must be around 500 calories. I enjoyed 2 teaspoons of chocolate cake, which was so filled it has given me a migraine

Pam M.

Yelp
We dined here two nights and had Corrie as our server on both. We requested a quiet table as it was our anniversary. We have never felt so special all thanks to our wonderful server. If you have the chance to dine at Old Hickory at Gaylord in Nashville, request Corrie , you will be thankful for the experience. The restaurant is beautiful, the menu is great but the service makes all the difference. Thank you Corrie, you are an exceptional person.

Michele G.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. From the check in host (Matthew) and my two servers (Francis and Tony) I enjoyed a great meal. I would definitely recommend dining here.

Tom I.

Yelp
I are there twice this week. The ribeye and the New York strip were flavorless. Sides were excellent.

Eva G.

Yelp
Our server, Jacob, was excellent! He was very attentive and personable. The food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful!

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a table for 8 with only a 45 min wait without a reservation since it was very busy for a Monday night. Appetizers came out quickly. Had the lobster bisque and it was amazing. The server split it into 2 small cups so I can share . The issue was the main course came out 1:25 hours later and not cooked right . For a $79 steak , I expected it to be right . I ordered medium and got raw. 3 people in our party had to send it back . 10 minutes later, it was still very bloody. I ended up not eating any of it . Everything comes à la carte, so we had to order side dishes with it. The macaroni cheese, sautéed mushrooms were excellent. The servers were also excellent, always refilling our drinks but having to wait an hour and a half for a very expensive steak that was not cooked right was why am rating this place low .

Ok, I want to start off with the positives and what earned this restaurant 4 stars. We did not have reservations, we just walked into the bar area and was seated almost immediately which was awesome! Our server was absolutely amazing! He was taking care of all the bar tables by himself and he was killing it! We ordered our drinks and I highly recommend the paper plane, as someone who can't stand whiskey this drink was amazing and I loved it! Also, the French 75 was absolutely delicious!! Now let's move to the area that caused the lost star. The food was ok, and for the price you pay, you expect excellence. My husbands steak was $100 and it was over cooked and dry. It was seasoned well and had good flavor they just missed the mark on the temp. Second the sides were again just ok, the carrots needed roasted longer and the mushrooms and green beans could have used a little more seasoning. What saved the meal was the chocolate cake. That cake was moist, perfectly sweet, and the frosting was that thick luscious ganache you want on a cake. So I highly recommend this restaurant for the atmosphere, the service, the drinks, and dessert, but unfortunately the food didn't live up to the others. Normally I would take off more stars due to the food and its price but everything else was so amazing I felt only removing one star was fair.

Yelp
My husband and I made reservations for date night and this was hands down, one of the best date nights we've ever had. The food was amazing, the views of the lights truly set an amorous atmosphere, and the service was white glove at its best. For starters, we had the caramelized pork belly. I could've had that as my entree. It was that delicious! We also had the green beans and mash potatoes topped with lobster bisque. Whoever thought of using the bisque as a gravy?!!! Genius! We shared the cowboy ribeye as our main course and it cooked to the perfect temperature. I can't wait to wait to come here agin because there were other items on the menu that I really wanted to sink my teeth into. Tip: Let the restaurant validate your valet ticket and save $40!!!!

Yelp
The wagyu filet was the most memorable thing, so bring your wallet. We came with a party of 9. Our waiter, Tony, was amazing. He was super friendly and helpful. Since we were Marriott bonvoy members, we got the desserts for free, which was awesome. Ok value -- but if you are a Marriott Bonvoy member, you get free desserts. There were some very good foods, and some letdowns. Good foods: Bread (cooked perfectly and soft), $100 Wagyu Filet (tender and flavorful with nice charred crust), salmon (overall good. It was different than what was on the menu but Tony told us, just be alert that your mileage may vary). crab cakes (well made and warm) Desserts - cheesecake was good -chocolate cake was dark chocolate but still solid. Very rich chocolate. -bananas foster was also pretty good Bad foods: Mac and cheese (waxy and flavorless), New York strip (under seasoned and bland), mashed potatoes (waxy and gummy, felt very cheap) Environment: There was some nice music and waterfalls, only problem was that it was a little bit noisy and hard to hear. Bottom line is bring your wallet, and order the wagyu filet.
