"A tiny watering hole in Culver City, Old Man Bar specializes in one thing: Whiskey. Bourbon, specifically–they’ve got a fantastic list of hard-to-find (and occasionally very expensive) bottles, and some of the best Boulevardiers and Old Fashioneds in town. But rather than being stuffy, this is a cool, dark space, filled with taxidermied animal heads, a fireplace, and a fun crowd that makes you think this could easily be a roadside tavern in Manitoba." - nikko duren
"A tiny watering hole right next door to Hatchet Hall, Old Man Bar specializes in one thing: whiskey. They’ve got a fantastic list of hard-to-find (and occasionally very expensive) bottles, and some of the best Old Fashioneds in town. Much like a roadside tavern in Minnesota, the dark space has taxidermied animal heads, a fireplace, and a fun crowd that knows how to wear a leather jacket. Stop by for a nightcap after dinner or with a bourbon-loving friend who wants to dissect the last season of True Detective." - nikko duren
"Old Man Bar is a whiskey bar in the back of Hatchet Hall, an upscale Southern restaurant in Culver City that you completely forgot about. While grabbing dinner at the restaurant and then making your way to Old Man is a good plan, you can also expedite the process and go directly to the bar. Spend the night drinking well-made whiskey cocktails, and celebrating finally quitting that terrible job at the aviary. It gets crowded on the weekends, but even then, you can always snag a table or few seats at the bar." - brant cox
